Yummy to my tummy! I found this place 9 months ago on a work trip. Once I found it, I wanted to eat here every night. I had never had Cuban food before ... And now I am hooked. For 9 months I have craved their food... And now I am back and it is just as good as I remember.

We came here for lunch on a recommendation. We had the empanadas as an appetizer one beef and one chicken. It was good but a little salty. The Cuban bread with dipping sauce was good. I had the grilled grouper with beans and rice. The grouper flavor was good however it was over salted. They made a common mistake in the mahi in that they left the bloodline in the fish. My husband had the Cuban sandwich. He said it was excellent. It was Large so we took half if it home. We also had the flan which was very good. Overall it was a good rating. The waitress was very nice and it was very clean on the inside.

We had a group of 17 and the restaurant took care of everything perfectly! My food was outstanding and the croquetas were delicious. Definitely recommend this place.

We had a great meal here. Service was excellent. The roast pork was incredibly good.

This is our last night in town and we finally picked a winner! Best dinner we had all week. Sangria was spot on. Full of fruit, refreshing, and nice wine. I had the stuffed pepper with ropa vieja, which was a great combo. The entree portions were smaller than I expected but the sides of plantains, black beans, and rice rounded the meal out nicely. Left feeling comfortably satisfied. The apple tart with ice cream was the winner for dessert but coconut flan was nice too (and I'm not a fan of flan so that's saying a lot). Service was quick and all the servers were very friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend.

We were heading down A1A and decided to stop here for some Cuban food. you come across the best places by chance it seems. I can't rave enough about this place. It's small, but clean and modern. the service is very friendly, but not in your face. The beef empenadas were amazing. The cuban sandwiches were the best I've ever had. The sauces are strong and authentic. The mojitos are well mixed and tasty. This was a great way to cap off a day at the beach.

Excellent service and food! A hidden gem!! I had stuffed red pepper with beef. Husband had chicken fajitas. Both flavorful and nicely presented. Very clean place. Prices were great.

Love this little restaurant ! Food good, service good, and they actually give you a wine glass that is full! How great is that! Keep it up Cuban Island, we will be back many times! JSS

Started off well with a nice cheese plate and pressed cuban bread. The entrees left a lot to be desired. Waited an hour for dry pork. I would not suggest eating here.

I ordered the Lechon Asado (based on the servers recommendation) lunch and it was fantastic. The meat was tender and tastey. The rice and beans complimented the dish well and the portion was generous. For onky 8 dollars I wasn't expecting such a high quality meal in such large portions and the wait staff was friendly with short wait time. Overall I could not have expected a better lunch dining experience.

The place has been open about a year. The waitress was nice and the appetizers were unique and fresh. The restaurant is clean with good seating. The ropa vieja and pollo empanizado were good and so was the white rice - but the black beans lacked flavor and the yellow rice tasted like Goya mix. Not bad, but not homemade. It's worth going, if you are in the area. . Happy eating!

Staff is really nice and service was quick. Cuban sandwich and beef soup were awesome. Good sized portions and flavorful. Come hungry because you will leave stuffed!

We came here totally on a whim. We happened to be in the area and are fans of Cuban food and find few in our area here. We dove past and turned around because we'd never seen this place here before. The smells upon entering told us we made a good choice. I ordered the Ropa Vieja and my wife ordered the stuffed pepper with Swiss cheese. Her with the black beans and rice, myself with the red beans and rice. She the Maduros and tostones. All I can say is OMG, this place knows Cuban food. Hands down the best we've had in a long time. My wife comes from Miami area and the owners are from the area as well. The tastes were the same from the first bite all the way to the last. The rice is cooked to perfection and many times it is either over cooked or crunchy, however this was just perfect. The Ropa spices and the pepper spices were so evenly matched you'd never guess they were standard. I cannot end this review without acknowledging the extraordinary drinks. I had two glasses of the red sangria and this is sangria the way it's supposed to be made. Not only is the wine plentiful but the fruit juices are so perfectly blended you'd think you're drinking juice. My wife had the mojito. They have a rum based wine mojito and at the first read you'd think 'how could they', but in reality, you cannot distinguish it from a natural. The second one she had because the first was so delicious, the owner crafted her a citrus based mojito and there are no words to describe how wonderful it was. I'm not a huge fan of mojitos, but even I enjoyed it. We are waiting on the flan and the Cuban coffee but unless they fell through the cracks, I expect they will be delicious as well. In fact they just served them, so I'll let you know soon!!! Ok, so we just finished the cheese based flan and it was outstanding. Add to it that the cafe Cubano was as good as it gets... To close this review there wasn't a single thing we ate here tonight that we did not just absolutely love! If you want good Cuban, you must come here and try this great place! I promise you, you won't be disappointed!

Cute & clean little restaurant with good food and good service! We had the tamale, salad with smoked salmon, stuffed red pepper with yellow rice and red beans. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the tamale!

First time dining here. We are originally from south Florida where Cuban food is a staple. The pork was incredibly tender and juicy. The flan was excellent as was the Cuban coffee and café con leche. The papa rellena was not very good and the beef empanadas lacked a good portion of beef but were fried to perfection. Skip the appetizers and head straight to the main course and desert. You will leave with a smile. As for service it was exceptional with a constant smile and willing to make recommendations. We will be returning.

We decided that we would try different things for foods so we tried this place for lunch. This place is very clean in fact they should be very proud we have never seen a place this clean. The service and food was wonderful and we can't wait to find a Cuban place near home as we will be going back.

We love cuban food and this was awesome. My husband says its the best cuban sandwhich he has ever had and the salad was seasoned perfectly. I had the Viera Rojo with black beans and yellow rice. The black beans were the BEST I ever had and the meat was well seasoned. Will go back!

We were exploring the Cuban cuisine and this place was recommended by a friend who claims Cuban is his favorite kind of food. We weren't that impressed. We had empanadas, (1chicken, 1 beef), a couple of papas rellenos, black beans, yellow rice, and Ropa Viejo. Probably the best thing we had was the free appetizer plate. LOVED the herbed mojo sauce! We kept it and tried it on other things, most notably the papas. The rice, beans and papas just weren't that flavorful. They didn't taste like they had any spice at all, including salt! The empanadas were both pretty good, but the pastry was overworked and tough. I expected better. The Ropa Viejo was pretty good, but not any better than my (not Cuban) home-made stew. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out either. I expect more for those prices. The worst part was the guy washing the floor while we ate. Really dude, did you HAVE to carry a dirty wet mop at table height RIGHT next to my plate?

One of my favorite restaurants in Melbourne Beach. Incredible anthemic Cuban cuisine with top of the line service. I definitely stop through again when I'm in Melbourne Beach in December.

Best Cuban sandwich ever--biggest too. Giant mound of fries I could only eat half. Shrimp ceviche appetizer was very nice too. Service was great. This is not a big place or over fancy, but it is clean and attractive. Well worth the price. I got nothin bad to say about the place and that is pretty rare for me

  • Chris M.

This is a modern take on Cuban cuisine. The food is really good. I had the stuffed pepper with picadillo. The spices were excellent. The portions could have been a little more generous. Sangria was excellent. The restaurant was full; however, it is Monday night and most restaurants along A1A in this area are closed. The kitchen service was slow. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, however. The only major complaint is the noise level. The restaurant blasts music to the point that everybody is shouting at the top of their lungs to make themselves heard among their respective parties. This became very frustrating and gave us all a headache by the time we left. The flan was excellent--firm and with a suave texture--and the cortaditos were a perfect finishing touch.

We kept passing this gem time after time when we visited our Indialantic home. We always said that we had to try it! It is a small fun atmosphere filled restaurant -- our night they had music that was perfect. The staff was helpful and happily gave us ideas what to order and what it tasted like. The food was delish! We started with the sampler which was great. I had the marinated pork with a garlic sauce that was fantastic. Wife had the lamb chops and tasty. Our friend had a trio of marinated shredded pork, ground beef and a shrimp in a pesto sauce. We ended with coconut flan. Drinks were mojitos and sangria which was tasty. Fun time! We are going back!

Moved up from Miami two years ago and found the real deal Cuban food up here. My hubby is half Cuban and he is right at home. Have a different meal every time and pick up for take out. Perfect every time!!!

Wish there was 4.5 stars as the service was fantastic! I had the Phill Steak sandwich and adjusted the menu to add Swiss Cheese. It could not have been any better. The Cuban bread with the spicy Cuban Pesti was excellent. Highly recommend this spot if you was a lively if not loud experience.

This was our 2nd time at this cuban restaurant and it keeps getting better! We are from GA and don't get cuban food very often, even though we love it. We're used to some pretty authentic cuban cuisine in Tampa and this place does not disappoint. I would have taken pictures but it would have been of empty plates. I got the Cuban sandwich...legit. My wife got the picadillo...legit. We ended it with a guava cheese pastry and cafe con leche....glorious. They make their own bread...let me say that again....they make their own bread and pastries from scratch. As well as every other dish on the menu. You need to try this. If you are on the fence you should no longer be. Go here. Get some food. Get a pastry. Get fresh bread. Thank yourself afterwards. Tip your waitress. Go home. Count the hours until you go back.

Was on a skydiving trip in Sebastian and had to fly out of Melbourne. This restaurant was right across from the hotel which was awesome since I love Cuban food. It's been a few months since I was there so I can't get into specifics on what I ordered but I did have a Cuban sandwich that was the best I've ever had. We also shared an appetizer that was really good. Everything we had was superb. I'm also a sucker for a good hot sauce and the one one the table did not disapoint. The service was outstanding and the restaurant was very clean.

This was by far the best Cuban food we ve had in a long time. I am very picky being from Puerto Rico so I know Caribbean food. Everything from the ropa vieja, the melt in your mouth pork, the beans, the plantains the flan soo good and fresh. Highly recommend. Best food in the area and very reasonably priced., very well prepared by authentic Cuban cook.

Best Cuban. There are many great cuban restaurants in town (i have a weak spot for cuban food), and I am certainly a fan of this one. for lunch I will typically have the media noche sandwich. The pork is very tender, and the bread is perfect. Also, you may want to Try the roast pork on its own, as it is also delicious. I have yet to have a bad meal, and I eat here about once a week.

Hubby and I had a lovey relaxing lunch here yesterday. Started off with a couple $5 sangria's that were tasty and potent! We ordered the Cuban appetizer $12 with picadillo, ropa vieja, yucca, 2 empanadas and 2 ham and cheese sticks. Very light and not greasy at all. We also had the fried pork chunks - tons of meat, no fat and lots of flavor for $7 with a tasty garlic sauce. Plenty for us for lunch.....well, then there was the flan - not to miss!!!! Great service, clean....but only beer and wine - no full bar. The outside of the restaurant is grey and plain looking - Does not project the deliciousness inside - Please add some color and dress it up because we drove past the place many, many times before we decided to give it a try, but we're glad we finally did. We heard they may only be open for dinner soon, but we will definitely be going back with friends and family, too!!

I am Cuban & know Cuban food. This is the 3 so called Cuban restaurant I tried and will be the one I will continue to come back too! It's authentic taste of Cuba. Good selection, service and bar drinks. Nice clean atmosphere. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant offers some of the best cuban food that I have ever had. I grew up in South Florida and have had a great deal in my lifetime, but this takes the cake. I ate the Cuban sandwich and it was absolutely phenominal. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and will certainly be going back soon.

Great food, good service, and modern atmosphere. Also, very moderately priced. It's a very small place though so come prepared to wait, and to be honest the acoustics are terrible. If there are only a few other tables seated, you can carry on a conversation but as soon as it fills up (which is quickly) you literally almost have to yell across the table to hear each other. So maybe not a great first date location because of that, lol. Other than that, pretty enjoyable and very authentic menu and ingredients, and the owner is very friendly. I'll be going back.

Fantastic Cuban food and great service. Staff is friendly and portions are good. My 3 year old was eating the Mojo sauce like it was a sugary desert. Everyone I take there loves it and we will keep coming back. Great lunches at a reasonable price also.

Visited there tonight since it was right across the street from my hotel. I've never had Cuban food but this was very tasty. Not knowing what I was interested in, my server helped guide me in the right direction. The crispy, fatty pork with mojo sauce was delicious. The black beans carried lots of flavors and the yellow rice had a well balanced spiciness to it. The wine selection was very decent. The establishment itself was very clean and modern. I will be visiting again before I leave. The two servers I met and chatted with were delightful ;)

Had the Matsitas de Puerco, a bit dry but still good. Great flan and plantains. A bit noisy, needs some sound absorbing materials. I'll be back .

The complimentary bread with pork spread and oil was delicious. Also a very well made and tasty Cuban sandwich. The price was a little high for the portions, but the bread and oil/ pork dip made up for it. The servers were great and very attentive. I love that this is a beachside spot with good food. Will definitely be back.

Service was courteous and attentive. Nice atmosphere inside. From the outside you might pass it by, don't. Authentic Cuban food. Roast pork was tender and tasty. Pantanos delicious. Only disappointment was Cuban coffee not quite to Miami standard but still good.

I've had much better Cuban fare, the portions were small and the prices high for what was served, but the presentation and service were good.

Absolutely recommend this restaurant. In Melbourne Beach at the Hilton Oceanfront for the weekend with the family. We decided to try out home cooking at a Cuban Restaurant. Delicious fried yucca with garlic mojo for appetizers. We had two Mar y Tierra and one Pan con Lechon. The choices came with an impressive garden salad. The decor was pleasantly modern and very clean. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Will come again when in town!

We were in FL looking at colleges for our daughter and found Cuban Island on Yelp. Only one waitress but she was excellent! She juggled all the tables with a smile and recommended a Cuban soda for our daughter that was a hit. Being from Miami originally, I'm a little picky about my Cuban food but this place was great! Definitely higher end food but well worth the $. I had the palomilla steak which was tender with grilled onions and a tasty garlic butter sauce to dip or pour over. Absolutely yummy! My husband had the shredded beef with tomatoes and peppers (I forgot what it is called). He felt it was a little chewy, I thought it was just right, but the flavor was quite savory. Our very picky teenager ended up eating it all. The usual rice, black beans, maduros and tostones topped it all off. I really wanted to try their coconut flan for dessert but I was out voted so we headed to the beach for ice cream. If you're in the area, this is definitely the place to go!

Great place to eat authentic Cuban. We had plantains fixed multiple ways, all good. The staff was exceptional in their service and cordiality. I wish their selection of beers included native Cuban beers and parking was a little difficult. That said, I will be back for more.

I came in at 1 p.m. for lunch. Sat down and was told Gigi would be my server. 21 minutes later and multiple stare downs at the waitresses behind the counter - finally a different server came over to take my DRINK order and I ordered my food at the same time. I ordered a side of sweet plantains that Gigi comped for me since she was MIA. For lunch I got the Cuban Sandwich. It was OK. There was a lot of gristle in it that I had to pull out. Not the kind of gristle you enjoy either, the stuff that would break your teeth. The place was done up nice and I will probably give it a second chance. Maybe just ask for a different server next time and order something different.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight. The black beans were flavorful, rice both yellow and white were good. My Cuban steak was well cooked and my husband loved his Lechon Asada. Would definitely recommend this clean, friendly, quick service restaurant.

  • Leslie M.

I am not sure why this place has so many positive reviews. The only positive thing I have to say was that the service is very good. On the other hand, the food was horrible and extremely extremely over priced. The picadillo tasted like dog food. The rice had no flavor or seasoning at all. The tostones were greasy. I'm hopeful that they get a new chef that knows how to cook. They could also attract more repeat business from local hispanics if they'd lower the prices. We won't be returning!

I was in last Thursday at the recommendation of a Cuban friend. The restaurant is very clean and the well designed with a beautiful granite bar that is perfect for appetizers and a nice glass of wine. The wine selection is well thought-out and reasonably priced with selections from Spain, Italy, California, and France. Most bottles are in the mid $20 range. I had several appetizers on my visit. All were delicious and well prepared. The service was friendly and attentive. I'll be back!

OMG this place is great! As authentic Cuban food is rare in Melbourne, far less beachside, this place is a welcome change from the "Sysco outlets" that abound around Melbourne. Another plus is the decor!! It's very modern and chic. Another welcome change from surrounding restaurants. Excellent! Highly recommended!!

I ate there last night with 6 other people. The inside of the restaurant has been completely renovated and is very clean. Our server Amanda was very attentive. I had the roast pork and it was delicious and flavorful, served with onions and your choice of beans and rice. We tried several appetizers including the tamales, empenadas, and papa rellenas....all of them were delicious. They have an extensive menu with lots of choices. They are well priced for the amount of food ou get. We will be going back!

One of only a handful of places in this county I would recommend to a friend or visitor. I frequent Cuban Island several times a week. I recently recommended this place to colleagues visiting from the UK after dreading trying to provide my guests with a decent place to dine in Melbourne. Suffice to say, Cuban Island saved the day, and they were thoroughly impressed with their meals!! The Stella is cold and served in a frosty chalice, which is muy perfecto after a day at the beach. The lechon asada with black beans and sweet plantains is my go to dish, and is some of the best north of Havana. The ceviche is excellent, bright and fresh, and I wouldn't order that from just anywhere, this is legit.... The Cuban sandwich is the real deal, and even the complimentary pressed cuban bread with freshly prepared house-made sautéed onion habenero sauce accompaniment is something to write home about. To add to it, the ambiance is simple yet chic and clean, and the service is one of my favorite attributes. I would rarely take the time to write a review of this high praise but it's deserving of such. This is great place to go and have a truly relaxing meal without any hassle, and leave completely satisfied.

Great Cuban food and decently priced! Everything from fried yucca to empanadas to picadillo & ropa vieja. It was all to die for! Amanda was so accommodating and a wonderful server! Found this spot via Yelp (Yay!). Didnt get a chance to dine in so opted for their take out. Its a cozy little restaurant. There's a classic red Chevy parked out outside ('56? Pffft, talking like I know haha). Once inside, they had a guitar player strumming classic Cuban tunes. It smelled really goood: ropa vieja. Mmmmmm. Ordered the Cuban and a Cafe Con Leche, the boyfriend got the Ropa Vieja, yellow rice, and black beans. Took like 10-15 mins, not bad considering they were slammed. The Cuban was on steroids! The mojo pork pieces were super thick, very flavorful. Cafe Con Leche could raise me from the dead 3x over. The boyfriend's ropa vieja was on the dry side but still tasty. The meal came with plantains! Tostones and maduros FTW! Recommend this place 'cause the atmosphere was super homey, food was tasty, and loved the classic Chevy. Im a sucker for classic cars. Hahaha

Outstanding - from their service, the atmosphere, to food quality and presentation. Started with homemade sangria, then toasted Cuban bread and spread. We had a pork Tamale for an appetizer shared between two as a guitarist played! My wife had Fajitas de Pollo with yellow rice and back beans and I had Lechon (pork) with white rice and both had the Madrid (sweet plantains) then more sangria. EVERYTHING was outstanding. Our server Danielle was friendly and prompt. We will be returning, for sure. Thank you Laz for this recommendation.

As a South Florida girl. I know good Cuban food. Cuban Island restaurant is the best I have had since moving to the area. The prices are a tad high but the portions are huge. The food is fresh, authentic and flavorful. I can't say enough about their fish of the day entrée. The servers were super friendly and helpful with menu choices. They even went out of their way to accommodate my niece who is a picky eater!

This is my new favorite restaurant. I love Cuban food, and this place has the best around! My favorite dish is camarillo al ajillo (shrimp and garlic), but the pork is outstanding too. Honestly, if you love Cuban food, this is the place for you. The atmosphere is better than average, prices are just about right, and the staff is very friendly.

The sangria is homemade and on spot!! Had that and the bread with ham spread while we waited for lechon dinner and chicken fajitas. Everything is huge and this pork is the best I have ever tasted. You have to have the flan. This time it was a Saturday night and there was a cuban gentleman playing guitar and singing cuban songs. It was so good!

Have been there many times and was never disappointed; except today. The server was very slow. At the end of the meal, we asked what happened to the "free" appetizers they always served, with crisp flat bread, a spread and a spicy dip. The waiter us that you now had to ask for it ! Excuse me -- then why did the table close by get it ? I don't think they asked for it; I understand some Spanish and I didn't hear them ask for it. Because we didn't speak Spanish. Come on; you can't serve this to one table and not to everyone because you have to ask for it.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert on Cuban food by any means. I've been to one other Cuban restaurant in KY which I love. This menu was missing some of my favorites. Plantains and sweet potato fries as side items. I ordered a cubano sandwich and it came dripping in oil with an overwhelming amount of gritty meat and not enough pickle, Swiss, or mustard flavor to notice. Other people in my group enjoyed Cuban coffee and yucca. We finished with a delicious flan. I'd give them another try but won't order a sandwich again. The complimentary bread, ham spread, and sauce was a delicious start.

This rating is driven by TOTAL FAIL in service. The restaurant would not help return my credit card that was left behind (I live 300 miles away so the offer to have it available for me to pick up was not helpful). So, I've had the fun of cancelling my primary payment method and now will have to reestablish that at multiple vendors. Bleh. OK, so my review is not based on the food or service while dining. Both are excellent. I have tweeted and posted favorable comments about this place on social media. I think I will now revise that commentary.. Unfortunately, I did not notice that I'd left the card until I was in another city. I called the restaurant and "YES" they had my card and it was available for me to pick up any time. At an hour and a half away and on a tight time table, I asked if they would be so kind as to mail it to me. The young lady who had answered the phone said that she couldn't but perhaps the manager could. She took my number and promised to have him call. By the next afternoon, no call. I called back. Same story. 3 days later back in my hometown I called again. This time the young lady gave me a definitive "NO WE CAN'T DO THAT". I did not even get the opportunity to say that I would have FEDEX come by and pick it up with a prepaid envelope...just a big juicy NO! So on site all is good. After action follow up is a huge fail. I won't be back. Service is so much more than coloring in the lines...

Excellent and fresh Cuban food. The media noche and Cuban sandwich are amazing-close your eyes and you feel as if you are in Little Havana. Their sampler is a delicious with a varied array. Great ambience. The owner and staff are friendly and provide wonderful service. Buen provecho!

Everything I have tried here is wonderful, and all of the ingredients used seem to be fresh. The staff is very helpful explaining things. The food is priced well and comes out quickly.

Great Cuban food! My husband picked this place out for his Father's Day meal and he was not disappointed! We shared the Mar y Tierra and Lechon Asado and both were excellent! The Lechon Asado is a very large portion of pork so we had a very good take home amount. The sautéed shrimp from the Mar y Tierra dish were also excellent so we will be making a trip back to try their Camarones al Ajillo dish. The coconut flan was fabulous!!

After passing Cuban Island and saying we should stop in sometime, today we FINALLY did. The service was fantastic, the drinks were fantastic, and the food, yes fantastic. I ordered the shrimp ceviche, and roast pork. Both were delicious. For dessert the quattro leche cake, incredible. The cafecito, sweet and strong are also delicious and a must try. There is no doubt, we will be back.

This place is great! The services was a little slow, but the food was really good! We started off the meal with two empanadas, which were amazing. Then we went to the main course, which was the penne pasta. It was really good, and the portions are huge! The atmosphere was very Cuban, and it is a great place to eat with family!

Right across from the Hilton and very busy for a Sunday night. We sat at the bar and had an excellent meal. Cuban beef and a marinated chicken breast with wonderful sides. Great music, bar, and friendly staff. A real treasure while on the road.

Went for lunch yesterday. I'm a big Cuban food guy so we had to try it out. It is very nice and clean inside, but a little coldly decorated. When I go to a Cuban restaurant I expect some more island flare and this place had zero. The service was good, but then the place was not crowded at all. We ordered some classic Cuban fare: chicken empanada, black bean soup, and breaded mojo chicken with black beans and rice. All the food was very well cooked and the empanada was delicious. The black bean soup was pretty bland, however, and was missing that nice garlic flavor that makes the dish pop. The chicken was excellent and the breading very tasty. Unfortunately, though, this too was too bland! Neither the rice nor the beans nor the chicken had any real seasoning. I asked for some mojo sauce which was basically oil with a bunch of minced garlic, and this helped kick the dish up quite a bit. Overall, good food and friendly service. I just wish they spiced up the food a bit more!

Best Cuban in the area. Period. We got lomo saltado and ropa vieja and both were really, really delicious. Service was top notch. Prices are a bit steep, but the portions are generous (we both had leftovers), so I'd say it's worthwhile. We'll be going back. ... often!

I love this place! I've been here a handful of times now and this review is a cumulative one. From the bread with the ham spread and onions as a starter, to the Cuban classic ropa vieja. You really can't go wrong with anything. I've had the soup of the day which was a beef stew for lunch when I was feeling under the weather and it tasted like something my uncle would make, tuned me right up! The coconut flan is also amazing, I had it with their Cuban coffee but requested less sugar (if you're a regular coffee drinker and like to taste your coffee, I would suggest you do the same). Great little place to cure my Spanish food hankerings.

Authentic incredible food and great service! Everything I have ever eaten here is fabulous and that's a compliment because I have been several times and eaten my way through several of their dishes. The servers are very sweet and attentive. If you like Cuban food this place is a MUST go!

This mom and pop cuban joint very rightfully deserves their high ratings. The food especially their cuban mainstays like the roast pork, picadillo and ropa vieja would easily stand up to the likes of Versialles and other top Cuban institutions further South. The decor and ambiance is lacking but the service, food and location more than makes up for it. I cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend the mojitos, cuban coffee and the coconut flan to end the meal.
