Great place to be for dinner or a get together for a drink! Nice atmosphere, the only thing I would like to see a little more attention from the waitress and now t going 100 mph to get people in & out, so they can be ready for the next customer! That's just my personal opinion but other than that I was fine!

Now I did not give this review 4 stars because of the food. I gave this review only because or our service by the awesome Sandra. We looked at our menu and once we decided what we wanted. Sandra was there. She was there when we needed drink refills, to ordering our food. I honestly haven't had great restaurant service in quite some time. We even asked to speak with "Chip" the manager to give SANDRA a compliment. Thank you for being great.

It's hard to not like the Olive Garden. Actually, I like all the Darden brands. The Homestead Olive Garden is fairly new, having only opened within the last year or so. It is of course very clean and welcoming. Since I have mostly positive things to say about Olive Garden, I'll just skip to the faults I found with this particular branch. They're minor and I will end on a positive note. First, when my boss and I arrived, the restaurant was only about half full. I do realize that when it isn't peak hours, they have fewer staff, and thus fewer tables "available". We were given a pager and asked to wait. No problem. Twenty minutes go by and I'm noticing people who came in after us being seated. Hmm. The attendant does, God bless him, finally notice that we're still sitting there and apologizes profusely. Secondly, it took nearly ten minutes for someone to take our drink order. The server more than made up for this slight with an attitude that is actually becoming more and more rare (though strangely, not uncommon with Darden stores). He was apologetic about the wait, extraordinarily patient with my boss (who is a wine guy and wanted to sample) and actually pretty darn funny. Third, what happened to the portion sizes? I know we're a heavy society and the economy is bad, but if I'm paying $16 for chicken breast I can get for 50 cents a pound at Publix, I want some dang food on the plate! The food, however little of it there was, was still outstanding. Worth the price? Maybe, maybe not. None of the above was bad enough to warrant any sort of personal boycott against OG. I'm still a fan and probably will be for the foreseeable future.

One of the better services and products you'll get out of Homestead. The place is clean and welcoming.

The General Manager's name is Jimmy Lipps, who obviously chose the high road as his parents meant for him to be a strip club DJ.

chains kill me. this restaurant location is very big and pretty. we only have 2 in Miami and hadn't been for many years. Mark was our server and he was phenomenal. really, really, impressive service. pasta ok, not amazing. salad and bread never dissapoint. ambiance: don't come here if you don't dig kids. i knew this already but people always surprise me. we sat near a family w/ a child that required constant TV and loud TV so they blasted Mickey Mouse on their tablet for all to hear. we no longer heard this noise once a10yo sat in the table next to us. we enjoyed our dinner and didn't really mind all the noise b/c we knew what we were getting ourselves into (same reason I don't do Chillis), but that TV was so loud and obnoxious, and we noticed how other tables were annoyed too. it would've been nice when the mgr passed by the table to ask them if everything as ok (he did this), that he would also have told them that it's not a drive in and to lower the volume. anyways, a good chain and definately good for families.

Well, I finally did it. I dined at an Olive Garden. Now I'm in the big leagues! We went one afternoon for their soup and salad lunch buffet, which we later realized was a big mistake. The only soup I tried was the Minestrone, and that, plus the salad and garlic bread was just okay. So maybe they are right about its reputation for bland food. But this was a very friendly, family-style, comfortable restaurant... and who really goes here for the food anyways?

It's Olive Garden, you know what the food tastes like it's the same every location you to go no need to review it! What I do want to review is the fantastic customer service and professionalism at this location. I went on a Sunday for lunch with my husband and daughter and had a great experience. Everyone was friendly, the service was fast without being pushy, and the food is what I expected. You can tell this location works as a team and management has hired the right people. I have reviewed the Cutler Bay Olive Garden and they are at the opposite end of the spectrum.

Went last night for dinner with my wife. Had a bad day, a customer who just didn't know when to give up. But felt much more relaxed after a couple drinks and some dinner. The food was great as always and service was excellent. Only complaint was the wait to be seated, very chaotic.

Nothing outstanding here, but a good decent meal. The waitress asked us if we wanted a soup with our meal. When we asked what where our choices she says. "it's the same we always have, nothing new". I had to explain to her, that living in the Florida Keys, there isn't an Olive Garden down there, so could she take 10 seconds and tell us our options. She copped a little attitude, but what can you expect from someone who obviously is happy doing nothing else with their life.

Well like most chains the food here is pretty much like every other Olive Garden and pretty much like all other Italian-American chains. In case your visiting Homestead, first welcome and second this is just decent Italian food for a reasonable price. My problem with this location though is I can never get good service. I've had rude wait staff, long waits and food coming out at different times. By different times I'm talking 10-15 between my wife and my plates. Hope your visit is better though.

Went to lunch and had the soups and sandwich combo. You can't beat the price! Service is good and food is always fantastic. Living in Kendall, the location to Olive Garden(Homestead) is a long way but worth the drive! Less people more parking and better atmosphere than that crazy Olive Garden located near the Palmetto - I think it's on Flagler. Anyway, nice experience overall. note lots of new shops near this Olive Garden such as Kohls, Sport Authority, etc.

We were in Homestead and decided to stop for a late lunch. It is a clean and new restaurant and fairly busy for 3pm. We were seated after about a 5 minute wait. There's really no lunch menu except for the soup and salad deal. I had the minestrone soup and salad and we split a pizza. The soup and salad were ok. The pizza was nothing special and I've had better elsewhere. The service was very attentive and prompt. It was ok for what it is, a medium priced italian restaurant.

My boyfriend, his dad, and I came in for lunch yesterday. Our server, Alejandra, was amazing and definitely made our visit worth while! All we had was the soup, salad and breadsticks, but she still offered great customer service. She was on top of everything and made sure we had everything we needed. And the pasta fagioli was amazing. She's an asset to your company!

It was fine. The service was pretty good. The food was fine. We were making our rounds and this was one of the places my coworkers always go to.

So..we went here on a couples date night. First thing, we ordered mussels which tasted delicious and even better that they were spilled ALL over my friends purse! Then we ordered the pasta which all sated great! That is, until the guy we were with found a long piece of plastic disguised as pasta on his plate. They waiter was nice enough to take the plate and call the manager who thankfully put the entire meal on the house. We are happy with the service but disappointed in the food quality! Good luck going to this particular Olive Garden!

Never would I off thought to come to Olive Garden. My dad was celebrating his 74th bday, and when I asked him where he wanted to go he said Olive Garden. So I hesitantly made the reservation for 12. We arrived on time and the table was ready. Right away the server took our drink order. I'll start by saying I chose to order bottles of the 667 Pinot Noir. What an amazing choice. It was perfect and fitting for the meals. Utopia is the one word to describe it. All of the meals ordered where on point. No one had a negative comment to make. I had the chicken Toscana and it was delicious. Paired perfectly with the wine. Even the kids cleared there plates with no complaints. The deserts were fantastic. The restaurant is clean, service was excellent and the food was delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My dad loved everything about it. That in itself merits 5 stars. I would definitely return. I felt like I was in an episode of the Sopranos. You know when the whole family is together eating Italian food, indulging in good food and wine. It was perfect.

We eat at Olive Garden fairly often because our kids love it and we don't mind the food. Service at most locations is good but at this location not so... We were driving through and saw a sign and decided to stop knowing it should be good. But this time the service was terrible! Our waiter got every order wrong, didn't correct things after we told him to, was not helpful, was disrespectful, and overall was a terrible experience. I would never eat at this Olive Garden again!

Went there for a Sunday lunch with the family. It was pretty full but we were seated right away. The salad was plentiful and the bread was warm. I ordered the filet with brocolli and it was great. Hubby ordered the stuffed chicken marsala and he liked it. My son had the spaghetti with meat sauce and ate it all which is great. This is a nice place to have a family meal. Very clean, modern look to the restaurant. Food is plentiful and not fancy but it's good. The service was good even though they were busy. We go to try the take one home which was nice. We also signed up for their e-club and got a free appetizer or dessert which was a great freebie.

Great Carryout service! Last Sunday evening I had dinner waiting for me at home but was jonesing for an Olive Garden house salad. I called ahead and it was ready when I arrived. Everything was neatly packed and the salad also came with a couple of breadsticks. They even included a little Andes mint. I was impressed and look forward to ordering again.

5 stars for outstanding value, service, cleanliness, and food quality. yes, this isnt gourmet but comparing it to other places of the same caliber, "family" restaurants", this location has their stuff together. we came for dinner. the waiter was on the ball and fast. i saw these guys flip a table in under two minutes with new customers and all. amazing. our waiter was on his A game. the food, yeah, it's obviously prepacked stuff but it's not bad and you get good sized portions. i had the $12.99 dinner deal and it was an amazing value. food was tasty and fresh. no gripes whatsoever. don't expect this to compete with a fancy italian restaurant. it by no means is but it is a great value for the money.

This is by far the best Olive Garden I have ever been to. I go often, the service and food is consistently perfect. Even when they are swamped they keep their cool and continue to do what they do best. Thank you

For the price, it's pretty decent. Zuppa Toscana (sausage, kale, potato soup) was very tasty. Can't beat the all you can eat part... Only 1 bowl was necessary though. Breadsticks were garlicky. Service was great. Waitress was very nice & manager gave us complimentary personal pizzas bc they ran out of the big one. Three stars for this, is excellent.

I had a great experience there last week. Service was excellent. Our waitress was super attentive. They had a menu available in Spanish for my older family members who don't read English. Appetizers and dinner were served with good timing, both cooked well. We grabbed a special that include whole wheat pasta and gluten-free options. I had the whole wheat linguini with garlic Alfredo sauce. It was good. The prices are on point with the quality. We had so much leftovers we ate for like two more days, it was great. Their leftover boxes are high quality microwavable ones, no dishes for days heh. In addition to all this I left my phone in this locale, I quickly realized and went back but at least ten minutes had past. One of the chefs was holding onto it. I am very thankful that that good night didn't turn out to be a bad one with someone swiping my phone.

Just went yesterday with my wife and son. Second visit. The place is clean and pleasant. They did not mention anything about the Pasta especial, so I guess they're pushing sales a bit. The food is great, just if you're really hungry, do not choose the Lasagna Primavera. It is actually out of this world as taste goes, but you'll need about 4 of those to realize you're eating dinner. I will go back again and I do recommend this place for an enjoyable meal.

Worse experience ever. Here from out of town looking to get quick bite and the place was slow. But after 45 mins no food at the table and the waitress is on the phone with what I assume was her boy friend in the bathroom. One glass of water in an hour. Wth, Olive Garden. Step up your game!!!

I dined here on Tuesday, 01/21/2014. While I always like Olive Garden this trip was a major let down. I had never been to this location but had always had good service/food at the Flagler restaurant. The service was mediocre. The waitress seemed overwhelmed with her station and forgot our drinks three times before finally serving us soda that seemed to be flat and so watered down there wasnt any flavoring. When we asked her for new drinks she admitted the soda fountain wasnt working and the sodas were from 2 liter bottles. When our food arrived it was microwaved. The outer portion of the chicken was very hot but the center cold. We never got a second order of bread sticks and the salad didnt have oil. We left very disappointed and will not return to this location, ever.

The food isn't bad but the service is horrible. Waiter never cleared our empty plates, never asked if we wanted refills and was no help at all with the menu. All in all it made for a bad experience and reminded me why I don't go to chain restaurants.

I found myself deep in Homestead at lunchtime and ended up at this Olive Garden location. The place is in a new shopping plaza area surrounded by box stores and chain restaurants. All the buildings are new and look very nice and clean. The Olive Garden is no exception. Inside is also clean and fresh, I would even say inviting. Our server was prompt and friendly, making wine and food selections that were appropriate and knowledgeable. I was sort of stuck when it came time to order since I'm avoiding carbs at the moment. 75%+ of the dishes are either pasta based or served with pasta. I ended up ordering the Apricot Chicken which is served with asparagus, broccoli, and roasted tomatoes. The portion of chicken was very small and looked like fast food with fake, too perfect looking char marks on it. The veggies were good and the apricot sauce was ok. I wasn't impressed by lunch here, there is no real lunch menu besides their soup, salad and breadstick deal. I spent $16 inc tip on mediocre food. I'm just not a chain restaurant fan in general, everything is too proportioned and cookie-cutter. 3 stars stand due to the nice location and great service. Our waitress even made us to go cups of water which is awesome when you're working on the road all day! Olive Garden is a safe bet in the area, you know what to expect. Decent food that won't wow you but it will fill you up and keep you going.

Super friendly service at the Italian chain restaurant. The food is ok and you get neverending soup and salad. Prices are reasonable at around $30 pp including a bottle of house white and service. To be honest our waitress made our evening and hence the fourth star.

At this olive garden we can always count on great food and great service. Favorite place to go for pasta in homestead. I haven't been disappointed since this location opened, and we've been there about once every 2 weeks for the past year! A great date night out.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
