The food was magnificent! We can't stop talking about how great it was. We couldn't be happier with the service and the food. The Smoked Gnocchi with Lamb Ragu was AMAZEBALLS!! The 48hour Short Rib was like butter, melt in your mouth good! However, I would recommend stopping by the ATM prior because valet only accepts cash ($6). No big deal, there's street parking. Great Anniversary dinner. We'll definitely be back!!

Wow, what a wonderful establishment. Being a newbie to South Florida, I recently dined at Sardellis. It was a Saturday night, in August, you'd think it would be crowded, but it WAS and there is a good reason why! Sardellis is the "real deal", it's authentic Italian cuisine! The ambiance is superb, The Sardellis have invested so much into their restaurant and it comes through LOUD & CLEAR. The service was impeccable, the food is delicious served with loving care. Our party of 4 had a variety of dishes including fresh fish, Chicken Scarpariello, a classic dish that was as good as any I've ever had. All I can say is if you're in South Florida for a vacation or you live here be sure to Make Sadellis a MUST visit and make a reservation soon!!!!

Sardelli Restaurant is simply the Very BEST restaurant of Hollywood Beach Florida. service, Food, decor, Ambiance feel like Luxury Dining & it is....A great addition with the nice Beach restaurants like Billie's Stone Crabs, GG, or Sugar Reef, but simply a few steps above... Finally Hollywood Beach has been blessed by a touch of Class & Excellence... Great for Dates, great for Business... Simply a MUST in Hollywood Beach Florida... A bit pricey but you are worth it! I simply love it... A Must when Staying @ Villa Sinclair...

Sardelli came highly recommended by a Miami chef friend and it (mostly) did not disappoint. In fact, I would say I am indeed a fan and will (probably) be back. Arrived on time for our reservation and found street parking (weekday luck). Valet parking is available as well. The restaurant's beachfront location is perfect for a post-dinner stroll. Purposely designed to look more like a home and less of a commercial structure, you won't find any large signage on it. Reservations are a must. They can't be done on Opentable and you have to pick up the phone and call "old school," which is a bit inconvenient. We went up several steps in the front, entered through the beautiful "front door," and checked in at the hostess stand. The woman in the front was a bit icy. Is it so hard to give a warm welcome and a smile? Our friends were not there yet so we walked ourselves to the bar to wait. No love lost there. At the bar, service was very friendly and welcoming. Once our party was complete, we were finally escorted to our table. The interiors are elegant and inviting. Dimmed lighting easily set the mood for romance, and private conversation. In our case (birthday celebration-party of four), the ambiance worked as well. It's truly lovely inside. OUR DINNER House focaccia bread- very good Complimentary butternut squash soup- liked the taste, but I prefer a thicker texture than the one served. Octopus- in a lemon vinaigrette. Reminded me of a ceviche. Refreshing and tangy. Loved this one. Raviolo- I am a raviolo snob. This one is not the best I've ever had, but it was good. Everyone else in our table loved it. Potato Croquettes - with a bacon jalapeño sour cream. Really good. Bucatini Carbonara- Also not the best I've ever had (helllloooo MC Kitchen!), but it was also very good and a table favorite. Braised Veal Shank Cavatelli in truffle butter- I will say this. My friend who ordered it is extremely picky with her food and she loved it. Two thumbs up! Colorado Lamb Chops- a little on the fatty side, but a lot on the flavorful side. Excellent. Seasoned just right and good enough for me to finish my entire half (shared with the hubby) even though I was full by then. Gluttony. I know. FIlet Mignon- excellent Desserts- your typical Italian cheesecake, creme brûlée, and panna cotta. Nothing stood out as a must-have, so we just went with the creme brûlée. It was nice: just the right amount of sweetness to end our dinner. Given my sweet tooth, I would have loved a more enticing and creative dessert list. SERVICE Our waiter was very nice and on top of everything. Water glasses were refilled before I ever knew they needed to be, and our wine was opened promptly. WINE RANT Speaking of wine, I do wish Sardelli allowed outside wine (with a corkage fee, of course). As an avid wine drinker, it is excruciating to have to severely overpay for wine I already have at home on top of an already expensive dinner. This always becomes an important point when choosing to return to a restaurant and in fact, it's what kept me away for so long. With very little exception, most fine-dining restaurants I've been to in Dade and Broward county allow it. Shoot, even nationwide! The top restaurants in the U.S. see no problem in allowing their diners to do so! That small courtesy goes a long way. All of that said, I really did enjoy our experience at Sardelli and I'm sure I will be back someday.

I'll cut to the chase on this one. I absolutely adored Sardelli. From the ambience to the decor to the service to the food.....a home run! You could pass Sardelli and not even know it (except for the valet in front). There is no sign on the regal looking townhouse. The intimate dining space on the first floor, consisting of dark colors and huge gilded mirrors, makes you feel like you are dining in a private home. The food was absolutely divine! The menu was certainly a crowd pleaser for my entire family because it pleased the meat, fish, and pasta lovers. Sardelli is a first rate steak house but also has lots of fresh fish. Sardelli also makes all of it's pasta in-house. Items the table ordered: Chopped Pork Belly Caesar: the chopped pork belly made this more interesting than your average Caesar and the dressing was very good. The Salad of the Day: I forgot exactly what was in this but it just looked like lots of greens. Forgettable. Raviolo (ricotta, spinach, pancetta, egg yolk, sage brown butter, in one big ravioli): So scrumptious! I am still deciding who makes the better Raviolo, Sardelli or Raviolo. I am leaning towards......Sardelli! Filet Mignon: Tender & tasty! Branzino Special: Cooked in a lemon sauce with capers, this was light and just perfect. The portion was big enough for my Mom & I to share (along with a little extra pasta, of course!) Short ribs: Braised for 48 hours, Husband said they were soft like "butter" and absolutely delicious. Cavatelli, braised veal shank, parmigiano, truffle butter, veal broth: I ordered a half portion of this just in case the fish I shared with my Mom was not enough. Boy, I wish I had ordered a full portion because everyone else devoured it! The pasta had the perfect texture and the sauce was delectably savory but not too rich. This was my favorite dish of the night, even if there was far too little of it left for me! Being a birthday celebration, we did finish with dessert. Sardelli was out of Creme Brûlée that night so we had to settle got a a Bread Pudding and a Chocolate Bomb Cake, both with ice cream. I only had a taste of each but they were sinfully rich and delicious. The service was very friendly, although dishes came out a tad slow at times. I don't think this was the server's fault, but the kitchen's. For example, when it took a while for the Raviolo, we were told that the Raviolo are made fresh and they were not ready yet. When they came they were well worth the wait! At another lull in service, our service came out with a complimentary small bowl of cream of tomato soup ( very yummy!). A little late for an amuse bouche, I am not sure if Sardelli usually does this mid service or the chef sent it since he knew service was slow. After our meal, we toured the 3 other floors. These are great rooms with spectacular views for parties and events for 30-80 people. Sardelli will definitely be high on our list for special occasion dining destinations. I look forward to future visits and trying some more homemade pasta!

While two of the three meals were good, the steak was lackluster and the waiter was not all interested in us - he did not even ask how our meal was. This restaurant needs to treat its customers better. For the price there are better options such as Mama Mia's in downtown Hollywood. Oh, I forgot to mention that a member of our group asked for a glass of wine and they were brought a $25 glass of wine as per the recommendation of the waiter without ever being told the cost. Any place that brings you the most expensive glass to up charge you is not in business for the long haul.

This is a duplicate of the more correct Yelp entry yelp.com/biz/sardelli-ho… erroneously created by adding an "s" to the correct restaurant name, Sardelli. I've reported the matter to Yelp as being an error entry as well as a duplicate, but for the meantime merely enter my review as previously posted under the correct name of the restaurant. Sardelli is definitely an upper scale restaurant which is pretty well evident not only by their food, which clearly uses all top notch fresh ingredients but also, as expected, by their prices which though somewhat steep aren't unreasonable for what you get. Their hostess who greeted me at the door with a "What you want?" question could certainly use little more polish and some better mannerisms; and it's always nice to be asked something like "Is this table good?" when seating you rather than simply being marched over to a table especially when you are there on a customer starved Monday night. I was first giving a complimentary cup of pea based soup which was really delicious and served as a pleasant start to my meal. I started off with the Caesar salad which came with a good array of white anchovy along with a particularly fine dressing and coated with a top shelf tasty parmigiano cheese. The salad itself was crispy, fresh, full flavored and contained the very heart of the romaine. For my entrée I went for the duck with cherry, which contained a cherry with which I am unfamiliar, but served as a good enhancement, complimenting the overall flavor of the duck. They had several specials such as a veal chop & etc. and their menu contains a good selection of meats in which they seem to specialize. I did see the veal chop ordered by another table and was pleased that I had declined it as it was served to them covered with what appeared to be some type of tomato based sauce that I would fear might be more detracting to the flavor of the dish than enhancing. Overall, it's a good restaurant, I had a pleasant dining experience and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Wow.......so good. What a great selection of Italian food and steak! My arugula fennel salad was nice and light. Hubby had the octopus which he loved. A must try is the steak and eggs! But don't forget sides as the meal doesn't come with any. And next time we will try the smoked burrata! Table next to us had some and it was a very cool presentation! We will be back!

Our hotel recommended we eat here during our two night stay and our biggest regret was going just one night instead of both! Everything was outstanding! Our table by the window was perfect and romantic. The amuse potato soup was to die for and a nice touch. The bread and homemade ricotta was amazing and we couldn't stop eating it. Our server was attentive and descriptive. We shared the braised veal pasta as a starter, I wish I could eat it everyday! We shared a dry aged ribeye with two different sauces (bleu cheese is the best) and it was more than enough for us to finish. We were excited for the leftovers until we realized our hotel accidentally threw them away. Oh well, we will just have to go back for more one day!

My boyfriend and I dined here for one of our first meals on a recent vacation. We were impressed by all the high reviews and decided to give this place a go! Sardelli oozes with romance. Located on a residential street in a four-story house, the only tell-tale sign you're at a restaurant is the valet station outside. Otherwise, you hear the chatter of other residences enjoying the warm ocean breeze and see the soft glow of the evening lights. Upon walking in, you immediately realize you're in a classy restaurant. A large bar sits to the corner and an open dining room is filled with large tables prepped with formal settings. We made same-day reservations and were seated immediately. When we first arrived the restaurant was fairly empty and we questioned the necessity of our reservations, but patrons soon filed in and I would highly recommend not taking any chances--make the reservation! We started off our meal with a complimentary mushroom soup. This was delicious. For our appetizer, we ordered the Sweet & Spicy shrimp, served with shaved red onions, cilantro, and habanero jelly. For $15, this is a pricey appetizer, but the size of the shrimp and the serving is generous. The shrimp arrives lightly coated in a fried batter, hot and fresh on the inside. The sweet and spicy sauce, combined with everything else in the dish complements itself very well, and the whole thing is incredibly delicious. We finished every bite! For my main, I chose the duck special. Served with a red wine reduction, this dish was perfectly seasoned. The duck was cooked incredibly well and the whole plate was bursting with delicious flavor. We decided to grab dessert elsewhere, but I have a feeling you can't go wrong with anything at Sardelli. Definitely a great, romantic date spot and a must try!

What an amazing dining experience! The food was delicious, the service first class and the staff were so friendly and kind! I had the privilege of private dining and rooftop access, it was just incredible! If you enjoy the finer things in life then you must dine here, talk about a hidden gem!

Everything is amazing from start to finish. They give everyone complimentary soup tasting of their tomato soup and bread - which actually may have been the best part! So good. I got the braised short rib which was also incredibly flavorful. I also got a shrimp plate as an appetizer and they were cooked perfectly.

It's hidden away, I don't think there are even any signs for the place. But it's a pretty little four-story house, nicely decorated. The wait staff is really great. I've been there twice and their bartenders are really top-notch. The food is darn-right special. Delicious. I shall return!

Everything that we had was exceptional, including the service. My credit card "lost" itself, and the waiter took a great deal of time assisting me to find it. I left w/o the card but a moment later, the waiter rushed out of the door with my card. No detail left unattended. Definitely a place that I will be directing others to enjoy! Thnx!!

Hidden gem! Hidden in the back corner by the board walk is a large 4 story house. It's not until you see a small valet parking podium that you realize this is a restaurant. Upon entering you get an entirely new vibe as if grandmas front door just led to a elegant nyc bar. The staff is friendly and definitely stay back allowing you to do your thing. The rest of the nights went about as smooth as a dining experience can go. The food was amazing, fresh, and simply delicious. We ordered filets and sampled some pasta dishes, all which I recommend trying. For an appetizer I had that calamari which was done in a spicy red sauce with peppers. A more unique calamari preparation, but one of my new favorites. Furthermore there is a kitchen on every floor making food delivery prompt and fast! Things to note -- we called to make reservations, however they claimed they where busy until 9pm. When we arrived most of the floors where vacant thus making me believe we could of walked in and sat down sooner. Also, the waiter hand wrote the 20% gratuity on the check which I thought was inappropriate for such a high end restaurant. The bill was $500+ for 6 people, they should trust their consumer to leave a healthy tip.

ARROGANT a tad? Absolutely. As am I, but I have a reason to be. Where Sardelli doesn't. 1. The 73 year old man with the 44 year old woman at the bar. Is this South Beach? 2. We asked for a drink menu... Bartender goes... all we have is a wine list. No shit! I recently moved down to Florida from West Village, NYC and I have to say, Sardelli's can be the "Olive Garden" of Hollywood!!! 3. Regardless if I come to your establishment with jeans and a tee shirt, you should people the same way. I'd expand more, however not worth my time.

I recently took my girlfriend to a surprise dinner at Sardelli to celebrate her recent success in getting a job she had been eagerly anticipating. Before booking my reservation with Sardelli, I read many reviews that seemed a bit inconsistent. This worried me slightly as I had not been before and wasn't sure of what to expect. I did not know much about Sardelli other than what I had read online and via their website. I was aware that the owner Fulvio is the owner of the former Fulvio 1900 and of my favorite local Hollywood wine bar called Vino. I read a plethora of reviews about Sardelli and scoped out their menu online and decided to make the reservation for Friday at 8pm. I arrived at Sardelli much later than anticipated and had called Sardelli in advance to notify them that I'd be late the host assured me not to worry. As I arrived I was happy to see that my reservation still held and we were promptly seated on the second floor in the wine cellar room. There was a larger party and one smaller party dining but it wasn't busy at all. Let's get on with the review.....:) *****'s - Ambiance/Decor - This place is GORGEOUS. The exterior reminds me of a Tuscan villa, and is very nicely situated throwing distance from Hollywood beach. The interior of the restaurant is stunning, the cellar room, the tables, the chandeliers, and the downstairs bar area. Even the elevator is very nice. I love the downstairs open-kitchen concept, and it's just very well put together. Not many people REALLY dress up in South Florida, but this place makes me want to sport a fine a Italian suit whilst dining. I saw some reviews about the bathrooms not being kept up...I used the bathroom twice that evening and they were immaculately kept each time. *****'s Service/Staff - Our server was Julian, he was AWESOME. He took his time with us as we are slightly indecisive and like to thoroughly look over the menu items, he was able to offer me two wine suggestions since the original wine I had come for was not there. I ended up with my backup choice and was not disappointed in the slightest. He was very patient with me and my gf taking several times to decide what we wanted to eat. Food came out in perfect timing, not too soon, and not too late. When we got to the second floor, there was no music playing, and my gf whispered "It's really quiet in here" the staff within minutes played some very nice tunes. Our other encounter was with the bartender downstairs, I want to say her name was Jackie? (I forgot as we did get a bit tipsy lol) she was also excellent, she allowed me to try several of the wines at not cost and was VERY attentive as a bartender and the restaurant itself was closed and only entertaining a small group of people. The service was outstanding all around, and I could not have been happier. ****'s Food - I've dined at some pretty fancy establishments over the years. Scarpetta, Palme D'Or, Ai Fiori, etc.Sardelli can definitely hold up to some of these establishments. The food that night was excellent, and as the restaurant matures, I am sure the food will only get better and better. My only complaint was that my Lobster pasta could've had a little bit more creativity added to it to set it apart from the others I've had. My girlfriends Lobster Francese was amazing, the lobster was very fresh and a very generous portion. Appetizer of grilled octopus and white beans was to die for, the buratta was incredibly fresh and tasted great. The amuse bouche of butternut squash soup was amazzzzing. ****'s Value - I admit, some of the dishes are a bit pricey, but I understand that given the total experience, ambiance, and location you are paying a bit extra for the total package. I felt treated as if I was a valued patron and not as if this place only caters to people with hordes of money as I feel at some establishments. On my way out I ran into Fulvio and he is incredibly humble and nice. He even warned me of the step that I was about to tumble over lol. 4.5 *'s Overall - I selected 5 *'s here but I would like it to be 4.5 8*'s. It's very difficult for a restaurant to get the 5 star rating. Fulvio at Sardelli is doing an amazing job and if he stays true to his art and takes criticism constructively, he can develop a 5 star establishment. NOTE: For those complaining about the parking and knocking the reviews due to paying "6.00 to Valet..." there is a Parking Garage across the block on Harrison street that won't cost you more than 2 dollars. However, if you're griping about paying 6 dollars for valet and then going to spend 35+ on a plate of food per person, you probably shouldn't be dining out at restaurants with that price tag anyway. Don't reflect your hatred on having to valet park you car into the total review of the restaurant because it grossly skews the rating. Park in the parking garage and walk, or valet your car and don't gripe about it.

My 6th time there and will not go back. Service starts out amazing and just goes downhill if anything goes wrong. We ordered then entree came without the al la carte side . Took 14 mins to come and we were already done . The waiter didn't have ---to come back to the table but sent the bus girl she also took our dessert order. waiter finally came back to give check Too many restaurants to deal w/ this BS at their prices!! You face a dumpy bldg across the street

Oh how I really hate being the bearer of bad news when we had such amazingly high hope for Sardelli's. I rarely- if-ever- write bad reviews but our experience was so beyond awful, I felt I must. I know people say not to judge a restaurant on New Years Eve but in my opinion, if you are going to be open and take reservations, you absolutely should staff accordingly. My husband and I were meeting two other couples for dinner and arrived at 8:30 to have a cocktail before our 9pm reservation. We checked in and they said the table would be ready at 9p. The bar area was overcrowded but we totally understood- it was, after all, NYE. We enjoyed a cocktail and pre-ordered a bottle of champagne to be brought to the table immediately upon being seated and enjoyed delightful conversation with other patrons. The owner, Fulvio, was warm, wonderful and a completely gracious host to his "home". Our friends arrived just before 9p and we let the hostess know our party was complete. We ordered drinks for our friends and enjoyed great company. At 10pm, I went to the host stand and asked when we were going to be seated, he advised the table was ready {they just never told us and we were standing literally within arms length}. We get seated at 10pm with ONE menu for six people. Thirty minutes later the waiter arrives with the champagne finally. Thirty minutes after the champagne arrived we finally were given menus. Finally. It is 11pm and we now have menus and a disappearing waiter. After requesting drinks, including water, we beg him to please take our order, our party is starving. We quickly realize all the tables around us that were seated AFTER us, have food and we have not been able to give our order. Fast forward to Midnight. Happy New Year! No food yet. Entrees FINALLY came and two were incorrect, one was incomplete and our waiter was the king of "NO". In 3 hours, not once during our meal did our waiter or anyone check on our table- not ONCE. We had to physically stand up holding a water glass and waive it just to get water. By the time we ordered and our food finnnnnaaaaallllyyyy arrived, it did so without parts of the order and we were told ONLY WHEN WE ASKED where these items were "oh, the kitchen ran out". No apologies from our horrendous waiter, only "the issues and wait for food are not my fault, it's the kitchen- what am I suppose to do?". I have now wasted more time than I should writing this but the overall experience was honestly the worst restaurant experience we've had - possibly ever and it was primarily the waiter. My husband and I paid the check for the table (we spent probably $700 total) and my husband who never-ever tips under 20%, struggled that he should leave this waiter without a tip but inevitably did tip, although maybe 15% or just under. Hands down, sorry to say, the worst dining experience ever. 4.5 hours and our entire party thought what a waste, we should have went to Bourbon as we originally thought to.

I finally visited Sardelli's. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I thought the food was good but I have to say I was disappointed. When I asked for iced tea I was informed they only had bottled tea. At a restaurant like this it seemed absolutely amazing to me. If for some reason they don't ordinarily make it then they should make a cup of tea and put it over ice. Additionally, I personally think a great Italian restaurant should grate the parmesan for each individual.

I don't even know where to begin with my review. I've waited a few weeks since being there and assuring myself I would give a 1 start review. My family and another family were down at the beach one afternoon/ evening dropping or kids off at a birthday party on the beach. I started searching for places to eat on Yelp and came across Sardelli. I read some reviews and info about the restaurant and noticed the dress code was dressy. I decided it would be a good idea to call and tell them we were wearing shorts and flip flops. The person on phone said, please no cut-offs (which I thought meant cut off shorts) We got there to eat and I explained I called on the phone about the dress code so they put us upstairs (We got there right as they opened. There was no one else there) We ordered our meal and drinks. No issues with the waiter at all. The steaks were considerably under-cooked. (It seems medium now means a cold, red, bleeding, fleshy, raw center) Overall, the food was good. After I ate, I got up to go to the bathroom and that's when I missed the big show. The owner came upstairs and starting berating our party for the way we were dressed. The other guy was wearing a tank top (apparently that is what a cut-off was to her) By the time I got back from the bathroom, she was gone. After paying I went downstairs to leave and talk to the owner. At first she was very combative and offensive. I explained I called in advance and said we were wearing shorts, we weren't wet, etc.) She kept ranting about the tank top. By this time, the whole downstairs was looking at us and her. If I gave a shit, I'd be embarrassed. after maybe 10 minutes of back and forth, she started to see the error in her ways and bought us a round of drinks at the bar. I'm not sure what screw is loose in her, but she turned out to be very nice as we left. This place is pretty expensive. I don't mind paying whatever for a great meal. There are plenty of great restaurants around. No use going back here and paying a lot of money to get yelled at!

We had reservations for 8pm. Valet was very friendly and fast. The style and atmosphere was special. The food was good and presented well, but not amazing. The server was really nice, but as other reviewers have said, the food comes out extremely slow. We didn't order dessert because we were just ready to get out. The complementary soup was a nice touch, but still cannot make up for the long wait for each course and even the check.

AH MAH GAH BDAY RESTAURANT YAY SUPER YUMMY!!! Anyway I really liked this place a lot. We went to prime 112 for hubbys bday and he got the ribeye both places and it was way better here, and you don't have to deal with the miami fab crowd and the hour wait w/ reservations for what its worth... They bring you free soup and bread and both are fantastic, the potato soup is AH MAh GAH knock your socks off. Had the ravioli w/ ricotta and spinach as a app w/ the brown butter pancetta...so good...so good..so good... and the calamari which was on point. Had the duck breast and it was super delicous, I would def get it if you are not in the mood for steak...hubby's rib eye was the best steak ever but I wanted something other than steak this night. I will be back, want to try their pasta since the ravioli was sooooo good. We didn't get dessert which is too bad.

Finding a restaurant of this caliber in the Hollywood Beach area isn't easy. This place was recommended to me by a friend, which I think is their only way of advertising. There is no sign outside, the only indication that there even is a restaurant here are the valet parking attendants. I called and was told I had to have a reservation, but the strange thing is that the entire time we were here we were the only patrons dining! Granted we got there early and left by 6:30, so I'm guessing it starts to fill up later. It has a typical steakhouse menu, with typical high end steakhouse prices (which is why I only gave 4 stars) We split the 20 oz bone in Porcini Rubbed NY Strip. The steak was delicious. For sides I ordered sauteed spinach and mushrooms. Both were equally delicious. We started with the Caesar salad with pork belly bacon. I had never had pork belly bacon before -probably one of the most delicious things I have tried. Add 2 glasses of wine and our bill totalled $150 with tip, which is crazy considering we split everything. If you are in this area and don't mind the crazy prices its definitely worth a try. Your other choices for a sit down decent dinner within walking distance on the broadwalk would be overpriced touristy places. At least coming here you get an amazing dining experience as the décor is beautiful, gorgeous chandeliers and dark wood. 5 star service and ambiance.

Three stars is gracious, and it's only because I had a good time due to the company I was with. I don't even feel like writing a review at this point. My medium rare strip was medium, the pasta and gnocchi dish were really good, the service was BAD. Lots of reviews that I read stated that the chef/owner made them feel welcome, but it seemed like he was too busy drinking wine and flirting with the women at the bar. Bummed, I wanted him to say hi like I had read in the reviews. Oh yeah, the calamari was good too! The service was bad. That is all. If price means absolutely nothing to you, eat here. If it concerns you in the least, don't.

I'm going with 5 stars I think cause I loved it I think. From what I remember it's a beautiful restaurant with a great bar and everybody was super friendly and the sommelier recommended a great bottle of Nebbiolo which I had too much of along with too much great single malt scotch. The one dish I remember was the octopus which was outstanding. The rest of my meal, I have to take my wife's word on it that I loved it. So cant wait to go back to see for myself all the great food I had the last time!

One of the best Italian places then I ever been! The food is amazing, so good! The waiter was very nice and friendly, the food was fresh .. We order a whole fish, egg ravioli amazing! And we also got a complimentary soup on the house :-) tomato soup creamy and good. So recommend you won't be disappointed I promise! A little bit pricey but totally worth it!!! The decoration is very nice and inviting you really feel that you are in Italy

Amazing Italian food in Hollywood and a great place for a private event. I recently dined at Sardelli for a company dinner in the private room and the experience was wonderful. The 5 course menu and wine pairing were amazing and the Sommelier was very knowledgable about the wine. In addition, the service was excellent and the room was beautiful and modern.

Went with a few colleagues from work at the suggestion of the concierge from the hotel. The restaurant is in an unassuming location near the beach, almost looked like an apartment building from the outside. However once you stepped inside the ambiance of the dining room was beyond inviting. A quaint relaxing environment. It's an Italian steakhouse which allowed for a few of us to indulge in pasta and others to enjoy the steaks. The calamari was fantastic with fresh tomatoes and lightly fried with just enough crunch. My dinner companions ordered the carbonara and rigatoni and praised the flavor of the sauce and meats. I'm a steak person so I ordered the filet which was perfectly cooked medium with not too much redness. I also ordered the creamed spinach which was okay. The sauce was much more liquid than cream. Probably should have just ordered the sauteed spinach. The Napa valley Cabernet by the glass was pricey at $25/glass but well worth the taste. However switched to the more reasonable $12 Malbec. The wait time for our food seemed to take awhile for a Sunday evening, however the place was rather busy that night. The main dining room only had around 10-15 tables so reservations are the way to go. A great big bar to have a few drinks while you wait for a table. Definitely recommend if you are in town visiting.

Sardelli is a hidden gem in the Hollywood beach area. It is a four-story converted townhouse and each floor houses a different dining room. The atmosphere and decor are elegant and romantic and the service is some of the most accommodating I have ever seen. Started with the calamari, which was cooked just right, then moved on to the steak fiorentina for two (filet was good, ribeye was heaven) with the asparagus and croquettes as sides. Could hardly fit anything else but somehow made room for the chocolate lava cake with coconut gelato. The entire experience was perfection.

Sardelli's is a gem! We eat there regularly and have never been disappointed. Carmen Sardelli is lovely and offers the BEST food bar none. The steaks are tender, tasty and top quality! From Jimmy the bartender to the server Ricardo, the Sardelli's are a family run restaurant who care about their customers! They have it all- wrapped in a beautiful location filled with ambience. This is a destination restaurant ;)

Probably the only higher end restaurant in Hollywood that I would rate 5 stars. The bar area is nice to sit for a drink or 3 before dinner. The menu isn't too expansive but they do great steak, prime cuts, Italian and seafood dishes also top notch. The service was really good and the clientele is as good as it can be in Hollywood beach. Bring your wallet with you, with a bottle of wine the dinner for 2 should be about $200 with tip.

Service was good. Ambience great. A very cute reataraunt - you feel like you're in someone's home. I ordered the lamb chops. For $50 they should not have been doused in a sauce. They were so so. The restaraunt got a bit busy. Then the service went down a bit. I'd give it one more shot. But very expensive!!

This place is awesome! A block or two off the main road, the location is beautiful. The ambiance was great...candlelight with great music. The food was prepared perfectly and was appealing to the eye. Not to mention it was delicious. We will definitely be returning soon.

Oh Hollyweird, what a relief there is a decent restaurant there. Is reassuring to find places like this in a city that lacks any good pplaces to eat at. With the exception of a few establishments, Hollywood has a long way to go when it comes to good food. That is way i was a little hesitant to try this place when my place suggested it, but i got to say i was encouraged by the reviews here on Yelp so i decided to go with it and i am glad we did. The place is on Hollywood Beach and its located on a side street of A1A (Van Buren St). They have convenient valet parking. The inside is nice, feels kind of dressy and the hostess asked us right away if we had a reservation, which we didn't , but the place was pretty empty when we walked in. I was surprised at her question and i reply: "why? do we need one?" and she said no, it's ok, and sat us right away. Hmmmm...ok a little weird but i thought ok,let's see if it gets better. We sat down and order a couple glasses of wine and took a look at the menu. The wine list is extensive and interesting and the menu has a vast array of italian specialties. I tried the burrata and the porcini fetuccini and everything was very good. My friend tried a salad and the ravioli. They also brought us complimentary roasted tomato soup which was very good. the waiter was very attentive and they have full wait staff that attends to your every need. Decor is nice, has a bar in the center of the restaurant and it got completely packed as the night went on. So i understood then why the hostess had asked us about reservations, people just kept coming in all night long. I found the prices to be a little high for Hollywood but the food was so good you know that you get what you pay for. We ended up staying for a glass of wine after our dinner was done and we never felt rush to leave the table like other restaurants sometimes do when they are very busy. Great service overall. Food is well prepared and definitely quality ingredients go into it.

Arrived early without a reservation on a weekday and were greeted and seated immediately. We started off the meal with a Wedge salad/pork belly /Gorgonzola dressing and the king crab special salad. The wedge was the better choice with the creamy Gorgonzola dressing showcasing the crisp iceberg and salty pork belly. The crab special salad was cold and fresh but a bit bland. The entrees arrived timely, hot, and impeccably presented. The filet mignon with red wine sauce was melt in your mouth tender, cooked perfectly. The short rib was large, tender, with dense, deep, flavor. We ended the meal with a delicious lemon meringue pie and well executed creme brûlée. The staff and owner created a pleasurable dining experience. Don't pass this place up if you are looking for fine dining in Hollywood.

First time and thanks to Yelp reviews it was a great dining experience! I took my Partner here and he also loved this place. The service was good but sporadic at times. The ambiance was nice and not too loud. The food was great , we both had the Filets and side orders asparagus & potatoes. For our App we had the shrimp, it was good & fresh. I would go back and try some other dishes -

We heard great things about this restaurant, so went and sat at the bar. Right off the bat, I will tell you the food was excellent. However, it was very expensive. We are happy to pay top prices if the food quality AND the service are excellent.this is where we we're let down. The service from the bartender was indifferent at best. It's a small bar, so should be easy to handle. We practically had to do gymnastics to get her attention for another drink. An attend at conversation was rebuffed. According to our stool neighbor, this is not unusual. A big disappointment

Horrible service and clearly, they don't want gay customers! We had 8pm reservations and waited 20 minutes. That's no big deal. We then got greeted by three waiters who offered to take a drink order and tell us the specials. We told them we wanted to look through the wine menu but we would be ready soon. We then waited another 20 minutes as several tables of male/female couples got seated around us, ordered their dinners and were served wine. I got up and told the hostess that we have been waiting. Still no one came to our table but we could see the waiters talking about us. One even started to set up another table in the middle of the dining room instead of coming to take our order. Finally, after waving my arms, the waiter came over and said it was busy and we weren't ready when he initially greeted us. He then said, "I'm here now. What do you want to order?" Really? You expect me to drop $250 on a meal with service like that? No apology, just rude arrogance. We got up to leave and I spoke with the owner in the kitchen who was also rude and indignant. If you, as the owner, don't want to deal with front of the house issues, hire a manager! Or, maybe it's just a policy to not serve tables of 2 men. We left and had an amazing meal at a restaurant that cares about their customers.

Sorry - had high(est) expectations and although we had a few winners, overall, I left very disappointed. The *****'s: ambiance is perfect. Leek soup starter to die for (almost). Wines. Caesar salad. Broccoli rabe. The **'s: dried, tasteless cardboard powder of parmesan cheese was not only bad, it was insulting. Way undercooked pasta (and yes, I get "al dente" - no idea how that could ever happen). Beautiful but strangely tasteless & other than wetting the pasta, useless, sauce. Mussel/wine sauce somehow managed to be very bland as well. Other observatations: we inexplicably had a change in server mid-way thru the dinner; we recieved an unordered appetizer, with apologies - some mussel/shrimp thing that I did not really get nor did either or us found above a ***. Service was very good; hostess not so good - a little too loud and seemingly focused on things other than arriving guests. Upshot: great location and place. Cozy. Sexy bar. Interesting menu but poorly executed performance. FIx that and this place is a charmer.

This review is a few weeks overdue but I can still remember just how amazing the food, service and atmosphere was. It is definitely one of my top 5 dining experiences. Fulvio is a genius in the kitchen with a knack for making you feel like he's a long lost friend welcoming you into his home. My friend Kerren, who is a vendor in the food industry, suggested Sardelli's for our double date and her reccomendation was on point. We let Fulvio take the lead with our meal and he did not let us down. The lobster was fresh, the steak cooked to perfection and the shots of Jack Daniels we did with him were pretty freaking cool. Bottom line...Just take my money Sardelli's. Just take it.

First impressions they say are lasting........well, I truly hope not in this case, but.........I have to tell you, I am not really impressed with Sardelli's. Here's the good, bad and ugly....... The GOOD: Great time at the bar. Had the Ravioli/ ricotta/ spinach/ egg yolk/ pancetta/ sage brown butter for an appetizer, which was delicious. The Sauvignon Blanc (I don't remember the name) was adequate. The nice addition was that we were sitting next to the parents of one of the bartenders made for good conversation. We ordered the half order of the Spinach Pappardelle Bolognese/ veal/ pork/ beef/ Parmigiano, which was excellent. For dinner, I had the Yellow tail/ deboned & deep fried/ fennel slaw/ lemon, basil, pepper, aioli, which was very good and the presentation was totally awesome. The BAD: We asked for a taste of one of the wines on the list that was not familiar to us, which we ended up ordering as it really was quite a nice Chardonnay. The bad part is that the restaurant charged us for the taste of the wine. Not good customer service from where I sit. My boyfriend ordered the New York Strip Bone in Porcini Rubbed, which he said was tough (as I watched him saw through the meat.....), but flavorful due to the rub. He may have been looking for a silver lining. (He actually acknowledged that J. Alexander's serves a better strip steak) The wait for the dinner was excessive by anyone's standard. Other tables were being served prior to us. When this was brought to the waiter's attention, the response was that they were very busy. After dinner I ordered banana gelato. When the waiter came back 10 minutes or so later she advised that they did not have banana gelato.........then why is it on the menu??? I asked for the check at that point. The UGLY: The table (on the 2nd floor) that we were seated at was awful.....right next to the door the waiters use to bring the food in and out. Should there be a next time we will make reservations for the 1st floor ONLY. The bathroom, which is unisex...was not maintained and the toilet paper was in the sink (?) Really???? Doesn't anyone check or monitor the bathrooms?? Based on the price of the meal, I should be giving this restaurant a 5 star rating, but sadly cannot do that.......for me, until proven otherwise, this restaurant gets 2.5 stars. By the way, I did make reservations, but did not know then what I know now, make sure you request the 1st floor........patrons seem to get better service.

Great spot! The food, decor and overall vibe was great. Hidden gem in Hollywood Beach! Owner Fulvio greeted patrons at the door. Sweet and Spicy shrimp was divine! My husband had the smoked gnocchi which he truly enjoyed! We used Uber to get there. So worth it!!!

I wouldn't go back. Very interesting atmosphere, but for the price and arrogance of the waiter, it was not worth it. When I asked to substitute an item in my pasta dish because of a food allergy, I was simply told no. The waiter would not offer any substitutions and insisted I pick something else off the menu, as is. I asked if I could just have the pasta with anything other than the lamb and he brought out pasta and bland tomato sauce with no flavor. He also asked me if I even knew what a particular type of meat was. The one I said I had an allergy to. This is not a place to go to with ANY dietary restrictions, no matter how small. The soup was very tasty, salad was very plain as well. I've been to some of the nicest and most expensive restaurants in NY and South Florida and couldn't believe the unwillingness to change anything at all. Very surprised.

I had an excellent time here on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was already busy when we arrived at 7. This restaurant is located in a beautiful private building on South Hollywood beach. The exterior is gorgeous. We liked the valet parking, the warm greeting by the hostess, and passing the intimate bar and open kitchen to the well appointed dining room. The wine list was fairly extensive and pretty reasonable. The cocktails were nice (think $14 for a martini). The Caesar with white anchovies was delicious, and easily served two. I loved the crispy pork bellies appitizer with granny apple risotto! I highly recommend it! I had the Veal Chop (which was a special) and it was tender, rich and succulent! Amazing Chocolate Decadence la Orange for dessert was pure ecstasy! I love the food here. The service was impeccable. Everything was just perfect! A great place for a holiday dinner and we can't wait to go back!

Don't go. Our waiter practically ignored us. We were promptly seated at 815, our entries arrived at 940. We were not in a rush, but come on. My bone in rib eye had massive globs of fat and gristle, and only cost 49, great value. We will not return.

Great food and ambiance. Nice staff very friendly and well mannered. Only give it a 4 out of 5 because of very slow to deliver the entree and bit overpriced , but if you can wait and you are not starving and don't mind paying a bit more than other equally good quality food from other restaurants, then go because it is worth it then.

Their steak can compete with any steakhouse in US. You do get what you pay for! Only complaint was that another table seemed to be giving our waiter a hard time and he had to be interrupted several times while talking to us in order to meet their needs. Waitstaff definitely seemed competent and sincere, just think that someone else's drama effected out meal. Next time that I'm in Fort Lauderdale, I'll be back!

This place is nice on a number of different levels. First, and foremost, the food is outstanding. We had the calamari, the ravioli, the duck, and the ribeye. The calamari was really delicious with a nice red sauce, basil, and some spicy vinegar peppers. The ravioli was stuffed with a creamed spinach and had a very savory sauce and some pancetta on top of it. The ribeye was perfectly prepared. Much better than Prime 112's version and at a fraction of the cost. The duck was a perfect medium rare and it had a nice cherry component that allowed for a sweet and savory juxtaposition that worked great. The prices were pretty reasonable (less than $150 for 2 apps and 2 entrees). The setting is nice and the crowd was much less ridiculous than some of its Miami counterparts. My one gripe is that the service was not great. The waiter did not seem to have much knowledge about the food or menu and when I asked if they had any steak sauces (I was curious if they had any interesting homemade stuff), they brought me like a 2 gallon drum of A1... it was weird. Anyway, minor annoyances aside, this place is great. Recommend!

This place is more than an amazing meal...it's a tremendous experience! The ricotta spinach egg yolk ravioli is awesome and the branzino gets two thumbs up! Chef Fulvio is a treasured talent and is so personable that you will want to keep coming back.

This place is always incredible. Love to dine at the bar - near the kitchen, great people watching, awesome bartenders, the center of activity of the restaurant. The prosciutto appetizer with blue cheese crumbles was the best ever, and the duck is to die for. My friend had the scallops and pork - melt in your mouth delicious - I'm getting that next time!

Handsome Chef (Fulvio Jr) delicious food either home made from scratch like pastas, mozzarella cheese, and others or just a beautiful chosen and cooked steaks and fresh seafood. Breath taking views from their second, third, or fourth floors. Ask for the royalty treatment and you shall receive. Take a tour of the establishment. if your date or occasion is special, than Sardelli's is the place to go. Wanna get married or get promoted or even close on an important deal, The Sardelli's will help make it happen. One of my favorite if not the best restaurateurs of all time.

I have not reviewed a restaurant in a long time. Mostly because none of them have been particularly good, or bad, until this past weekend. We dine out a lot and believe that Sardelli's is one of, if not the best places in South Florida. We were impressed from the second we walked up to the unassuming door. It looks like an upscale townhouse from the outside, standing 4 stories tall. The reception area draws you in, welcoming you like you are in someone's home. There is a beautiful backlit onyx bar, but we went straight to our seat for our 7pm reservation. They brought a beautiful home baked bread basket with black olive rolls, to die for. I don't eat butter, but my husband did, it had nice fresh herbs in it, he loved it. They brought a cream veg soup on the house, which I regretfully had to decline because of the dairy. The presentation was beautiful and my husband almost licked the bowl. We shared the grilled octopus app and he also got the oysters, which he raved about. For entrees I got the smoked gnocchi with seafood. The gnocchi were soft and delicate, all the seafood was cooked perfectly, and the flavors were amazing. Husband got the lamb chops. He orders this out a lot, and is always on the side of being disappointed, not to mention hungry cause the portion is always too small for a very pricey dish. Not here, it was the largest portion of lamb I have ever seen him served. He loved it, said it was the best he's had to date! We were too stuffed for desert. We also had a reasonably priced Pinot Grigio that was excellent. The service was impeccable. We didn't have to ask for anything, never felt rushed and everything was cleared from the table with the utmost manners. You feel comfortable enough, but in a finer dining establishment that has no stuffiness at all. We can't wait to return. A friend advised me they have all four floors and do private parties in the other areas.

This is the nicest restaurant by the Hollywood broad walk. You do feel as if you walked into a nice San Francisco or manhattan restaurant. It's out of context! But fabulous! First, we were brought a complimentary portion of potato/Fennel soup. Ew? My two least favorite items. Wow! It was delish. I wiped the bowl clean with this amazing cheese bread they bring to the table with some oregano butter. We had the scallop special appetizer, the burrata with oven roasted tomatoes and arugula, the half moon ravioli, and the spinach fettuccine with mushrooms Not all dishes were are fav. The half moon pasta was not cooked enough for us (a little too al dente, but then it was probably just us). We had never had burrata so we can't compare. I liked it, the hubby thought it was bland. Nice service. Valet parking. We were only ones there from 5 to 7. We were told everyone shows up at 7:30

Loved Fulvios in Hollywood and wouldn't have expected anything less than a superb dining experience from same restauranteur. They exceeded expectations with an equally excellent food and dining experience. Sound system check, food subtlety check, wait staff check, elegance check. This place could be where you propose, special anniversary, promotion / feel deserved. Prices are up there, but it's an entire experience that you pay for. Bonus - chef tasting carrot soup, lovely focaccia and fresh ricotta spread. Love the townhouse feel a block away from the Hollywood boardwalk. It's location is the best of both worlds - fancy and flip floppy (but people are dressed up at this restaurant).

The ambience is wonderful. The restaurant is so well-known that they do not even need a sign on the outside. We sat at the bar and it was great. Everyone was having a good time. The entire staff was very friendly and polite. As we were at the bar, the bartender was our server. She was very friendly and pleasant, and even though extremely busy, made sure that everything was done properly. It was a busy Saturday night and the restaurant was packed, but despite that the food was absolutely great. The octopus appetizer was delicious. It was seasoned just right and had a sauce that was perfect. My wife had the Caesar salad with chopped pork belly and it was extremely flavorful. The bone-in ribeye steak was done perfectly. The couple sitting next to us also had the ribeye steak and we both commented how good it was.My wife enjoyed her shrimp which was delicious. Even though we live an hour away, we will definitely return.

Wow!!! My new favorite place and a hidden treasure. It is buried in a Hollywood street, close to the ocean and little hard to find. Valet parking is necessary. The service and the food are exceptional. Starters- Great selection of reasonably priced wines - they have a great bar Fresh assortment of breads Excellent Cesar salad Well cooked eggplant and tomatoes Nice and fresh Burrata The Mains- Florentine steak is as good as anything in NYC Snapper in the bag was fresh and perfectly flavored The gnocchi was tasty After dinner, it is a nice place for a stroll to work off the food. I'll be back this month.

Hidden gem. This place is fabulous. The pasta is homemade and to die for. The location is pretty sketchy but once inside its like you are in a fancy Italian restaurant in the middle of manhattan. Music is great, romantic, ambiance very classy and not over the top. We will be back.

I enjoyed this restaurant, but am not sure I would go back. I didn't even know it was in Hollywood Beach because it's in a 4 story building that looks like an apartment/condo. I saw all the reviews and decided to try it. The place is very well decorated and is very small (at least the downstairs where we were seated) I think there are no more than 8 tables. Service was professional and pleasant, but could have been more attentive. Food was very good. I ordered the pork chop, wife and 2 others at our table ordered salmon, someone else ordered the duck and our 10 year old daughter got pasta. I have no complaints about the food. Everything was prepared flawlessly. When I got the pork chop in front of me I couldn't believe how HUGE it was; I also always order double cut pork chops medium rare and it came out cooked just about right; slightly dry but it may have been the cut of beef. Everyone else also liked their food but there were comments of the salmon also being a little over-cooked. Let's discuss a few negatives. We went there thinking that it was going to be a nice italian dinner, we were contemplating Morton's or Capital Grille but decide to go here because the other two were going to make for an expensive evening. When we saw the menu, we realized we should have called ahead or looked at their menu online before coming. This place is VERY EXPENSIVE. We were already there and it was late so let's just order. This is not a 3 dollar sign restaurant as stated on Yelp, this is beyond 4($$$$) dollar signs. Their salads are listed on their website at $14-$18; the salads are not large salads. The entrees are on average $40 or more. I can see paying approximately $40 for a really good steak but paying $35 for a small bit of salmon is just out of this world. They also don't have kids menus so you have to pay $14 for a half order of pasta; a full order is $26. This is pasta we're talking about, even the most expensive places normally charge under $10-$15 for pasta, $26-$34 is just a bit much. Maybe I am budget conscious and I discuss price but I could have easily gone to the places mentioned above and had a 3-4 course meal per person for less than we paid here. We were 6 people at our table and were automatically charged 20% gratuity, I didn't feel like complaining about this and the service was good; I would have liked to have my coffee cup refilled more often but I'm not knocking them for that. So why would I not come back? It's not that the place is bad because it was very good, but for the value it is definitely not for me. I don't mind paying high prices for food but I don't go to places that charge $26 for a pasta dish just because they can. The pork chop I had was very good but $34 for a double cut pork chop where I can get a better one at Houston's for half the price? I didn't want to give this place 3 stars because the food is definitely good. Sardelli's can earn 5 stars if they dropped their prices and not automatically add 20% tip to groups of 6 or more when most places add 17%-18%. I never tip 20% for a high dollar meals unless the service is flawless; servers don't deserve more money for average service than a top notch server at Cheesecake Factory? They are already getting more by the dollar value of the meal.

I had a wonderful dining experience here. I went on a Saturday night with a yelper friend amber h. It was my turn to choose so we went and check this place out. I've always wanted to see for my self what the whole fuss is about. After many times looking at pictures and reading reviews, it got me more and more curious. So we got in and a nice polite lady greeted us. It's a fancy smancy restaurant so you kind of required to dress up, upper casual to Semi formal. That night I was wearing a hat and the lady told me kindly to take them off. I should ve known better but it was my fault. We sat down and looked at the menu. Ordered San pelligrino, octopus app, sirloin 8 Oz steak and scallops and pork belly entre. Waiter was informative and very friendly and talkative. Sometimes he asks us to repeat what we said because the restaurant is quite noisy. Noisy from people talking, not the music. Waiter also tend to keep up-selling our ticket by offering/pushing desserts. But I don't blame him. Before our food comes we were given 2 warm bread and a specially made butter spread. Also they gave us chicken chowder soup as a complimentary app. My steak came with greens and it was sautéed mushrooms. Food tasted really good, typical Italian flavors. So all In all our check came out to be $112 for two people. This marks my most expensive dining ever! But we kind of expected that and prepared financially. Lol.. would I be back? No. For that price, I could spend it on other place and could get many items on the menu. I'd describe this place as an upper class fancy steak/wine diner. Not my cup of tea but they execute their food well and it taste pretty good. One more restaurant checked out of bookmark!

Sardelli's is a hidden gem on Van Buren! Sardelli's is a stunningly beautiful restaurant located just a few steps from the boardwalk on Hollywood Beach. The staff is knowledgable, efficient and professional. The food is so delicious mere words cannot do my dish any justice. I had the Bucatini (pasta) and Lobster Fradiablo. Yum! I didn't care for the Ceasar salad but the anchovies were delish. I enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant and I can't wait to go back. Oh and if you are cheap and complain about prices this place isn't for you. Sardelli's is expensive but worth every cent.

Ate here while on vacation. It was fancier than expected. If we are ever in town again this is a must to return to. Best meal of our trip! Friendly staff and romantic atmosphere. Food was absolutely excellent!

Headline: Fancy food, bit over-priced & pretentious. I found the service to be in-attentive - slow to bring 2nd bread (asked twice) , not much help with the many food choices. The restaurant looked good but was a bit loud for at a 5 person table. Food tasted & looked terrific. I travel once a year for an event, probably won't be back.

Coming from Vegas, I am fairly spoiled with wonderful food on a daily basis. I absolutely loved this restaurant!! We started with the scallops ( best I've ever tasted). Next we had the fillets, potatoes and asparagus. I personally prefer a grilled asparagus, but the bacon was a nice change. The dessert tart was also nice. I believe it is reasonably priced. Bottled of wine range from 40-150.

Fulvio has out done himself again. Food was excellent. Service was great.... can't wait to go back. Thank you for letting us order off the menu... Cheesecake was out of this world...

This is a first class restaurant. Food was very good with great presentation. Tables are a bet close to each other, for my liking, and the place get a bet noise. Maybe a bet expensif for Hollywod. This is not South Beach Great addition for the broardwalk. area.

I have been twice now after finding this little gem on Yelp. In short, they have fantastic food and great ambiance. It is a little hard to find, but is worth the effort. Both times I have been with a client who travels quite a bit internationally. He and I agree that the steaks not only were cooked perfectly both times, but were the best he has had in many a year. Note that it may be difficult to make a reservation because they do not have an online system such as open table, nor is there an answering machine to leave a message during the day. Best to call after 4

Very disappointed. Food and service not up to the standard we expected. Waiter made a mistake when entering our credit card. We were entertaining a couple. He came back to table and said " I ran it 3 times and it was denied". Called credit card company and it was denied because he was charging $2775. Called the restaurant back and he just laughed. No apology. Plus he embarrassed us.

Excellent steak, everything else is a little pretentious for my taste but if you like that kind of food with things you have to look up the definition of, it's good. Hint, there are three floors to this restaurant with the top two floors having patio seating.

The best steak I've ever had! Get the bone-in filet mignon. It's delicious. The service is great too. Our waiter was knowledgable, friendly, and very attentive, but the service was not rushed. I will definitely be back.

This was a last minute decision for celebrating my wife's 45th...we had reservations at Mama Mia's in Hollywood, but I was a little put off by the reviews and perception that they were just serving huge portions of so-so Italian food. I couldn't be happier that we changed our minds in the car on the way down. I called Sardelli's and they said we could get a table right away. From the second we walked in, we were made welcome, seated immediately (okay, it was a Wednesday night!) and the great service just continued from there. The food was incredible! From the complimentary amuse bouche (cream of asparagus), crusty bread, the plumpest mussels I've ever had (including my trip to Prince Edward Island), to the amazing melt-in-your mouth veal chop....everything was perfection. For a special occasion, I'll go back here in a heartbeat. Wish I could afford to eat here every night!

If one is in the Hollywood Beach area, one should really take an evening to enjoy the Delicious delights of Sardelli Italian Steakhouse. It is a little hard to find, but are not all the best? A very classy, upscale ambiance was provided along with a very friendly welcome. The cocktails where very good, and the wine list is perfect! We where served a complimentary cup of soup, which was absolutely Delicious. I really must recommend to eat a steak. Cooked to perfection, the highest grade of meat tenderized so much it just melted in my mouth. A truly exquisite experience!

Really liked Fulvio Jr's new place! Food is great... Florentine Steak, unreal!!! This place did not disappoint but needs to work its way to a 5-star rating. Beautiful - Multiple floors for private parties... Roof top bar is really going to be cool. Ask for a tour; worth seeing what's ahead for an up and coming local gem.

This place has everything. Amazing food, caring and attentive service and awesome atmosphere. It's expensive. It worth every penny. I had the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection. My companion had the new York strip steak I don't think I've ever seen a steak that big and thick. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

The new addition to fine dining in Hollywood Beach is easily located with convinent or valet parking. The home feel to the enterance opens the room up to the open kitchen and a central bar that has a welcominng feeling. The service is on point , with a menu to moisten your palate and tempting you to order all the specials too. I left knowing I will return to my new favorite Italian Steakhouse. sardellis.com

Went there for the wife's birthday. Ate on the second floor, which was empty when we started, and hopping by the time we left about two hours later. I think our waiter put it best, it is sort of a boutique-y restaurant. It's expensive, no doubt about that, but you're paying for the ambience, the quality, etc. - the sort of special event splurge intangibles that one wants. We shared the rigatoni for the pasta course and the burrata for the appetizer. The former was great, while the latter - which everyone Ono food shows seems to hype, was good. Not sure it was life changing. Think you could pull the same thing off by mixing plain old ricotta and mozzarella for a lot less coin. The grilled tomatoes in a Caprese salad was a nice twist. For the main course, we shared - see the them developing here? - the florentine steak. Got it medium-rare, and given the size of the cut, there were bits ranging from medium to rare, which fits the bill for couples who like their meats at different temps. The star of the show was the wine. I like to order Sicilian wines when I can, not only 'cause I have Siciliano blood in me, but it cuts the potential options on even the craziest wine list down to a manageable size. We had the Planeta Santa Cecelia (2007, may have been 2009) a nice smooth red to go with the varied courses. So, show the largest island in the Mediterranean some love and try some of their wines - that's an order.

Sardelli's is the place to go for great ambiance and delicious food. My girlfriends and I had the time of our lives as we ate at the bar. All of our food was cooked to perfection-- the eggplant ravioli, crab salad, veal shank cavatelli, calamari, short ribs, ribeye, you name it! Any time we've gone to treat ourselves at Sardelli's, we've never been disappointed. Definitely make reservations. Chef Fulvio is gracious and genius in his service and skills. Totally worth it!

I have very mixed feelings on this place. The service and atmosphere is gracious. This is a Italian Steakhouse allegedly. The Porcini Rubbed Strip Steak was actually inedible. I have ate steaks from some of the best around and this steak was like something I have never had before. It came out tough, dry and flavorless and that was at medium-raw temp. There was not a drop of juice in site, my husband explained it as rubbery. He said that it seemed as if the steak was cooked the previous day, frozen, thawed out and warmed up on the grill and I have to agree. We had also had the Lobster Franchese which was slimy, soggy and tough with the exception of the claws. Now the appetizers and salads were very good. Snow Crab salad was fresh and very enjoyable. They brought out a complementary carrot soup which was to die for. The pasta was good, expecting better though. I got the smoked Gnocchi which was very mushy, had no bite what-so-ever. The sauce was good, full of seafood and great flavor. There are approximately 6 pastas on the regular menu, two of them they didn't even have and we were the 5:30pm seating. Leaving a choice of 4 pastas two of which were 'sweet pastas', chestnut-mascarpone and a pumpkin-type pasta, acquired taste pastas in my opinion, especially for dinner in whole portions. I most likely will try this place again, I always give a place another chance or two. I feel that a steakhouse should perfect their "steaks" being that's what they serve. After reading the majority of the reviews on Yelp and on other sites, they all pretty much say something negative about the steaks. I should have just stuck with the pastas. I know if I go back, that's the plan.

Fantastic. I recently moved Boston by way of Arizona. I went to visit my blind uncle and aunt. I wanted to take them to a great Italian restaurant as a treat. I used SIRI on my iPhone to tell me the Top 10 Italian restaurants in Hollywood, Florida. #1 was Sardelli. Great atmosphere, excellent service, the food was terrific, and I was pleasantly surprised. We all ate way too much, as the portions were more than generous. This place is a gem. No sign out front and the only reason we found it was because of the Valet. I'm only disappointed they are not in Boston!

This was a calamity. Dinner took 3 hours... Took an hour to get salads. Took 2 hours to get meal... And 2 entrees were cold. Not only was kitchen backed up, but our server was terrible. No water refresh. No bread refresh. Nothing. Not a word. Three hours later we had to beg for our check. Check came and it was incorrect... This evening won't end!

I had the bone-in ribeye and spinach with a creamy Parmesan sauce. Both were excellent, as was the wine. I sat at the bar by myself and enjoyed good conversation with a regular and Raqui, the bartender. I would go back and try more of what that have to offer.

Bartender had little to no personality. Food was good but overpriced ($15 for ONE scallop). I don't mind paying these prices...in South Beach. Seemed a little much for a side street in Hollywood. Ambiance was nice. Hostess was very friendly. They were out of the first thing I ordered, which was disappointing because I'd expect a restaurant like this to send someone to publix to replace missing ingredients.

Wow... This is one of those places that if it weren't for yelp only locals would know about. So first of all, thanks yelpers! If you're in the mood for high-end italian / steaks this is the place for you. Venue is amazing, hidden on a side street (valet parking the way to go), mult level restaurant. Great wine selection, great martinis, and food that's par for the course.

Since we found this gem through Yelp, I have signed in to write reviews. My wife and I were in the Ft Lauderdale for a week long meeting and we ended up dining at Sardelli's three times. We particularly loved the pastas and the bronzini, not to mention the incredible wine service by Orlando, the unofficial sommelier. JQ

Food and ambience are good but service is ABOMINABLE!!!! We were seated at 9:05 pm and it's 10:37 pm and we're still waiting for our food. The place is deserted and we're still waiting to eat!!!! Another diner remarked to her husband as they we leaving: "the service here sucks!" I started out feeling like this place was a 5 star place and its absolutely not worth coming to. My wife asked for a Cesar salad without anchovies and they brought it WITH anchovies. Then, instead of making a new salad they just remove the anchovies and bring it back as of it were a new salad... With the added bonus of the fishy taste. My wife ordered her meal without asparagus yet they still brought her plate with asparagus. The waiter's reaction: "well, at least they only put it on the outside of the plate." We ordered a sweet potato w truffle oil side and, apparently they ran out of sweet potatoes because it was one sweet potato with a bunch of regular potatoes. The witer said that we wouldn't be charged for it but, sure enough, there it was on our bill. To be fair, the owner is a charming lady who tries to make her place shine, but herr employees suck. As we were outside waiting for our cab she came out to apologize for the issue with the potatoes and she credited us the $10. This place is charming and it would be great if the service were up to the task but its obviously not. Not worth coming to with all the other great options in this area.

beware -- they charge 20% service charge for groups of 4 or more -- when I asked the hostess why they said because "french canadians don't tip" and told me that people come from the large hotel I was staying at and don't tip -- no Service was not worth 20% -- waiter served a bottle of corked wine and suggested that I taste it to make sure it was corked, it was very obvious from color and smell. Unusual location in a townhouse was fine, food was very tasty, once you got it -- which even before we ordered we were told was going to take a long time and then chef rules -- you can't order appetizers first you must order full meal all at once (we were hungry!), the chef wouldn't put two side dishes on one plate...restaurant hospitality was not their strength

Sardelli's lived up to my expectations from the other Yelp reviews. We were greeted by the chef-owner, Fulvio. He could not be more friendly or charming. We started with an amusee of cream of fennel soup that was out of this world. We followed with an excellent caesar salad and a fanastic porcini mushroom fettucini as well as an unusual (and I say this in the good sense of the word) smoked barrata and tomato appetizer. I happened to get the filet mignon but what really set it apart was the Borrolo wine sauce. The steak was as good as I have had and although it wasn't "prime", I would be hard pressed to know the difference. The waiter was attentive, friendly and helpful with our decisions. All in all, one of the better meals that I have had in Miami and although it wasn't cheap, it was a bargain compared to South Beach or Brickell. I don't mind paying the price if the chef produces and Fulvio knows how to treat a customer.

We had dinner on Saturday, October 12, 2013. The place came highly recommended by our hotel concierge and it did not disappoint us. My husband had a wonderfully prepared Caesar salad with plentiful white anchovies and a perfectly prepared dressing, He had been craving a Caesar and every time I mention that salad and how good it was, he starts to salivate! His entree was the Rigatoni with sausage, meatballs, beef short ribs and pork. It was a huge portion (the only pasta dish that doesn't include a half serving option). I ordered the smoked potato gnocchi with calamari, shrimp and scallops with a light smokey tomato sauce. It was the most delicious pasta I ever had. Please tell me how you make smoked gnocchi? I will be on a mission to recreate! We were too full to think about dessert. The service was very attentive. The wait staff seemed to rotate from table to table, which was a little confusing at first. In the end, I would rate both service, atmosphere, wine list and food as excellent. I would change nothing about the evening and hope to make it back there some day.

The best Italian restaurant ever. If you're looking for delicious homemade pasta, then this is the place to go. It's a very secluded and undercover place located in a four-story building. It has a great atmosphere and the food is impeccable. Make sure you ask for the daily specials because the chef comes up with some amazing dishes that one can't imagine. The best place ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very charming. quiet and nice. The daily special of a stuffed pepper (like a poblano but Italian was awesome) The appetizers are big and you can make a meal from them. The kitchen area is open and I recommend taking a peek and a smell of the daily specials. The creamy tomato soup was the chefs gift for tasting. Wow, Fantastic and I hate tomato soup. Wait staff very helpful and essentially will make anything to order. Good wines.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
