We stopped in here to have drinks after a sushi dinner and liked the vibe so much we came back the next night for dinner. It is a family business and very clean and well run. I had a mojito the first night and it was very good. The next night we came back and had a very good dinner. Started with ceviche pescado and then my wife had the lamb and I had Lomo Saltado. Food was excellent and the service was very good. I would highly recommend a visit.

La Huaca opened a few months ago in a beautiful space formerly occupied by Sage French Restaurant and before that, Michael's. It appears that two Peruvian women are the owners. It is elegant yet still casual and comfortable. Their Ceviche is meticulously fresh, the way it must be. All their versions are excellent and more tasty than most. Thank you too, La Huaca, for not burdening the Ceviche with too much cilantro. Pechuga de pollo is done just right also with moist, juicy chicken, well spiced and accompanied by the traditional sauces and sides. Happy hour is available at a lovely bar up front only On weekdays. I do not agree that a Pisco Sour should cost $12.00 though. The bar prices are too high. Otherwise, the menu is reasonable and has kept me coming often. Service is good and the owners are hospitable. I wish them every success and believe they should be here for many years to come. Tell them Mark sent you.

Food: We had the ceviche trio and octopus our first visit. Bothe were absolutely amazing!!! I am not even an octopus fan but this was so tender and full of flavor... we actually went back two days later and order the same dishes and also lamb chops. Everything was great the second time around too! Atmosphere: We sat outside, which was great. The interior of the restaurant is done very nicely though, and we did use the restrooms and they were very well kept. Service: We had the same server each vist, she was very attentive and did a great job!! Prices: I thought the prices were very good for this style of food, and the portions were good sized for the price as well. There was nothing wrong with our experiences here, we are from Michigan and wish we had a La Huaca at home!

An amazing experience with high quality of food and taste. The service was extraordinary. It is off the beaten path but worth the detour from Hollywood Blvd. Lahauca is angle S 20 av and Harison st

The best seafood I have had in ages. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is top notch. Stop in for happy hour for half price appetizers. See Rosie at the bar and enjoy. The ceviche is out of this world and the Jalea a la Huaca is the best fried seafood you have ever tasted. Don't miss it!

We went for Father's Day so there were 6 of us which was perfect because I got to try a lot of different plates. Started out with the fish ceviche that was extremely fresh you could just taste how fresh the fish was. Also, go the octopus appetizer with the olive sauce which was very good. The octopus was perfect sliced thin almost like a carpaccio. The sauce was really good there were two different ones. I go the seafood and rice that was really good lots of shrimp and calamari with some mussels and clam on top. My brother got a shrimp entree and the pepper sauce was amazing I just poured the sauce all over my rice. For dessert we got a mango cake with fresh mango, and some amazing mousse with passion fruit on top and some chocolate cake mixed it. Besides the food being excellent the service was even better!

Exceptional and fun. The ceviche trio was awesome, especially for those who have never had Peruvian food. Very friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Food was mediocre. Nice ambience but small portions for the price. Food was well prepared but of lower than average quality for the price. I had the entrana steak. I've had better Peruvian food in both quality and preparation at other Peruvian restaurants. I suppose I'd have to factor in their lease space rental rate and decor for prices that exceeded my level of satisfaction. I've experienced better value and quality in other Peruvian restaurants. To their credit, staff were polite and helpful.

La Huaca was my second stop on my peruvian culinary experience in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. This place was recommended by a friend, who has dined a few times. Everything in the menu looked so good. So our best choice was a sample platter with 3 different options. Ceviche, Jalea de Pescado and mussels. It came with 3 choices of spicy sauces, Canchita (corn) and Chifles (fried plantains). Portions perfect for 3 girls. Since it was dinner time, I ordered a Sangria, that slowly snuck up on me! The service was great. I should mention that we walked in the restaurant 10 minutes before it closed. And like all good establishments, it was not a problem. Yes, I will come back to eat here and explore the menu. Maybe even booking a ticket to just eat at this place!

The ceviche de pescado and Lomo saltado with risotto is to die for and the chupe de Camaron is the best soup I have had so far. The Pisco Sour with Bols Elderflower was delightful and refreshing. The Quinoa Creme Brulee is so yummy. We also had the Lucuma Tiramisu and it was good. Then we ended the evening with a Galliano Ristretto Cappuccino which hot the spot. The atmosphere is very romantic and cozy. The best Peruvian I have had hands down.

Went on a Monday and it wasn't busy...my friend and I were the only customers so we were a little nervous about the food...we ordered two different types of ceviche and both of them were great...service was a lil slow but it was a good experience overall...I'll come back for sure...

Greatlt food & service! The ceviche sampler is a must...3 variations with a good helping of each. We've eaten there several times and each was a good experience.

High end Peruvian restaurants are now dime a dozen. This one ain't gonna cut it. There is no way I am coming back here to plop another $15 for a ceviche that is barely edible. I am in no way Chef Gordon Ramsey. But hello, defrosted octopus is defrosted octopus. Seriously? The taste of sanitizer kills the flavor. And tell the chef to learn how to fillet the fish. The last thing I want to do with my ceviche is to keep spitting unchewable veins or whatever that was. The sauce was nice, so I ended up pushing all the seafood away and adding Peruvian corn and tostones back to the juice. Yum! Another thing, their wine list. Oh, you can always make me happy with wine. At a place like this with average dish well above 15, you expect nice wine list. Not here. You are stuck with the choice of 3 house wines, or flat Cristalino "brut". Argh, go to Runas down the street. Much better food for reasonable price. And a wine list you can be happy with.

This restaurant is the best in Hollywood downtown, hands down. The Ceviches are the most original, and amazing I have ever had. This place is mind boggling.

I had ceviche and choritos a la chalaca.. Thats because i asked for papa a la huancaina first but they didnt have any. So the ceviche and the choritos were very bitter... The salsa was horrible. Very string bad after taste with thr sea food.. Not enjoyable at all. Definitely not coming. Back.

Not so good... Especially for the price. The ceviche chunks were way too big and the corn served with it didn't seem fresh... It was grainy inside. The "a lo macho" dish was *one note* and again, did not match the price. The drinks were too expensive for what they were as well... I'm disappointed because the staff was really friendly and the owner came to our table and introduced herself... Hopefully they can improve it since its a new place.

Amazing Peruvian food! Amazing service. A must try. We drove from Sunny Isles based recommendations and were nor disappointed. The food transported is to Lima as soon as the food was put on our table.

Food was good. The fish causa and ceviche were yummy. Jalea was good but mostly all calamari. Service was a bit slow and it felt a bit unwelcoming. Don't think we will be back.

Not what I expected at all. Slow service given we were he only table on a Saturday during lunch time. The food was ok. Not horrible but not great either. Other great Peruvian restaurants in the area. Will not be coming back here.

Nice new spot in Hollywood. Good service and portions sizes. The Risotto a la huancaina with Lomo Saltado is really good. The Ceviche could be better, especially the seasoning and sauces. Desserts are provided by a caterer since they are exactly the same as other Peruvian restaurants in the Greater Miami area, but they are OK. Service is friendly and come to the table to check on you all the time (Sometimes a lot). Will be back, it's worth repeating soon, especially if they improve their ceviche.

Amazing food! Just visited Peru for the first time and food there is hard to compare to! This is the closest and best I have had in the Hollywood area so far. The staff and managers are wonderful and welcoming as well.

Never eaten Peruvian food, didn't know what to expect. This place was amazing!!! The service, the food was incredible. The atmosphere was awesome. I love the fact they even have a bar. I hope it doesn't lose its touch with all the hype. It's #2 on sites like trip advisor. I've lived on hollywood blvd near young circle for years and by far one of the best in hollywood, Florida.

I've heard great things about this place so my fiance and I checked it out. The prices are high for some of the dishes. I couldn't eat all of my ceviche, I didn't like the flavor of the fish and I love ceviche but this one wasn't my favorite. The octopus was really good and so was my fiance food but it didn't come the way he asked. My fiance food came out 20mins after mine and waited a while for refills . We thought it was the chief but we looked at the receipt and we had a waitress in training. She never put down that he said no onion, well done and she put his food on hold. I really don't like complaining about places but it was a tad ridiculous. To sum it up, we still gave her 20% top because she's in training and It's how bartenders, waiters/waitress make a living. We probably will not come back because of the prices but the food was good besides that bad service of a training waitress. If I'm paying a higher price I expect good service or someone supervising her.

The service was awful. Our glasses were empty and no one came to check on us, yet they did manage to add 18% to our bill even though we were only party of 2.

Great food and a beautiful restaurant. The peruvian food here is delicious and fresh. The ceviche was amazing, better than anywhere else I have been. My girlfriend is Peruvian, she was born and raised and she said the ceviche is delicious. The pisco sours are great too! It's a little bit more pricier than some of the other peruvian restaurants in the area, but for a night out or date night it is definitely worth the money.
