Hole in the wall. A bit dingy. Food-Meh. Not worth the visit. Thank God it was cheap!

Food and service were great! Loved the selection. Everything was fresh and very tasty. I really recommend the sausage appetizer. Awesome! Pasta is homemade and the sauces seem fresh. Great place!

I went there 4 times, trying to give them another and another chance, especially since we've been loyal customers of their first location for years, since their very begining. Unfortunately, not being restauranteurs and not being really ready for this big step, had its price, and they are paying it. All our times there were worst than the previous one. The food came always cold and the meat not grilled the way it's supposed to be, we had to return everything all the times. Service is another issue: They have inexperienced people with no customer service skills, you have to ask 3 times for a refill or more bread. If you try to compare this location with the original one, there's nothing in common except for the name. Conclusion: We're still customers of the original Kussifay.

Location is wonderful, as it's located right at the beginning of the Downtown Hollywood strip. Service was pleasant. We shared a Provoleta appetizer and a Parrillada for 1, which was plenty of food. The Provoleta was good. It wasn't the best I've had, but I guess it's safe to assume that it is hard to mess up a Provoleta. The meat selection on the Parrillada was ok. The standard cuts were included. I guess we felt it just lacked flavor and juicy freshness. It was a decent lunch for us, but not the most memorable.

This spot is outstanding w/their food. I had a great parrillada to share w/my husband and was enough to take some leftovers! My daughter ordered the cheese raviolis and while I'm not a fan of raviolis these were delicious. The sauce was true to homemade creamy! Their wait staff is nice but can be off their game just a bit. Maybe because it was a slow night and the poor girl had to also handle the bar area. Overall I will be back since it was some good bang for your buck!! It was great!

Good service, great location, beautiful restaurant, and delicious food. Went for my boyfriends birthday; my mom ordered the vegetable pizza which she said was really yum and had a lot of vegetables, my boyfriend ordered the skirt steak which came with mashed potatoes and he said it was amazing, his mom ordered the pasta vodka which looked good but did not have that much flavor, and i ordered tilapia with roasted potatoes and capers which was AMAZEBALLS. Defenetly need to come back to this place. Saw the couple next to us order fried calamari as an appetizer and it looked great, I will forsure order that next time!

Best milanesa in town. The best part about them is that they serve huge portions. Definitely a place to sit down and share good food.

    Good Argentinean menu.

Yum. Quiet on a Monday but decided to stop in because we had never been to an Argentinean restaurant and a quick yelp view showed good reviews. Following tips, we ordered the empanadas (spinach), caprese salad and skirt steak. The steak was sooo tasty! Large portions. Hubby and I shared and there was plenty!

The waiter was very attentive, very professional. The food was very yummy. The portions were big, fresh and tasty. Has outside seating with beautiful shading thanks to the trees. I recommend for brunch after checking out of your Hollywood hotel stay.

Best churrasco in town. The roasted potatoes are fantastic and so is the Caprese salad. Their bread is hot out of the oven, soft and delicious. The waiting staff is very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend!

Yelp please let me give them 6 stars!!!! Kussifay always goes above and beyond my expectations. Their food is a piece of heaven, keep it up!

Nothing really exceptional but overall good. Pretty location on the Hollywood Blvd, reasonable price and good food. We got a Milanese Steak and Grilled Chicken with two beer. For $30 not bad.

If you're looking for Argentinian food at a reasonable price, this is the place. The food is stellar and the pizza you can't beat that with a stick, unlike when you beat your children, savages.

Their pizza is top notch. It's also a great place if you want vodka & sprite for breakfast. Good pour every time!

Good spot and food was great.... Wish the lunch menu would be advertised better (it was on the napkin dispenser) and maybe less expensive. I got the picanha lunch special for 12.99. The portions made it worth it but if it was a little less steak for less money it would have been better.

A must if you like delicious, tender, and flavorful churrasco. This is the real deal and not a different cut of meat. There are very few places that get this right. These guys nailed it. I will be back, again when in town. Atmosphere and service also terrific. Sin duda, delicioso y auténtico.

A newer, bigger, cleaner Kusifay than the one further West. This could be why this location is a bit more expensive by a couple dollars a meal. The food at both is excellent. I have had steaks and different chicken dinners at both. My husband, who is from Argentina, prefers the parrillada. We usually share the dolce de leche pancakes. They are delicious and are served as a pair. To finish you must have a cortado (a.k.a. cortadito). The one thing I don't like is that the ladies room door is held open and it looks like it has gone through some traumatic event. The restroom is otherwise clean, so no worries, would just rather the door be closed. Also there isn't a baby changing station in the bathroom, so I had to be a bit creative when changing baby.

We visited Kussifay a few weeks ago to have a steak dinner. Bread and salad were good and our toddler enjoyed chicken tenders & fries. For the steaks, I got the ribeye amd it was just Ok because it was a little fatty and not as tender as I would have liked. However my wife got the skirt steak and it was big and really tasty. The chimichurri sauce accompanying both steaks was delish aa well. Next time I will go for the skirt steak or maybe the mixed grill plate for 2 which has skirt steak, chorizo, etc. They have an OK wine list. Beers are standard domestic, Heineken, Corona or Quilmes. No craft beer unfortunately. Service was nice and attentive. The restaurant is big and they have a bar off to the side and several large tv's. Prices are pretty good for steak and portions are large. We'll probably come back soon.

We went here because we had a groupon and I thought it would be your average ok place. I was pleasantly surprised. I LOVED the bread they give at the beginning of the meal and my spinach empanada was quite tasty. I got the four cheese ravioli which also was really good. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal as well. We would definitely go back.

Delicious food, (empanadas are fabulous) & great service. Waitor was helpful in ordering as portions are gigantic! Good selection of wines. A great location with seating outside on tree lined Hollywood Blvd.

I visited with a co-workers for lunch. It is now free to park downtown, that was a nice perk. Restaurant was clean, not very busy, and staff is friendly. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich. It was huge. They use a very thin breaded chicken similar to a cuba beef steak da pollo and covered it with cheese and sauce. The sandwich is pressed a la cuba sandwich. It was very good. Could not finish it. My co-worker had a breaded steak covered in ham and cheese served with two sunny side up eggs. He loved it. Both meals served with fries and unique bread/butter. Two meals and two soft drink were $25. Great place for lunch. Will go again.

If I had just stopped at appetizers this would be 5 stars. I loved the grilled Provoleta, and the wheel of salchicha was to die for. The Chimichurri sauce was ok but rather restrained! On to the main course. We ordered Fettuccine in a pomodoro sauce with sausage which was rather bland and the fettuccine was overcooked. The person I was with ordered a skirt steak cooked medium. It was the thinnest skirt steak I ever saw at it's fattest part t was like the thin piece on the end barely 1/4 inch thick and not a drop of pink. He liked it no strings and tasty. I might not have cut into it before sending it back! maybe not even!

Service is amazing there along with the food. I went in with my family today and it was full with only two waiters. She was super fast and friendly.

Went for dinner with my wife and daughter last night after reading reviews on Yelp. Just moved into the area and are trying out all the restaurants. My daughter had a side caesar which could have been a meal. It was pretty good. Had spaghetti marinara for main which she ate so it must have been good. She is very picky at 13. My wife and I shared a huge calamari appetizer. Light and nice dipping sauce. Wife had a steak which they overcooked. Should have sent back - my mistake and unlike me. I had their signature pasta according to the menu. Penne (She said pasta was made in house but i doubt that) in a brandy cream sauce with sausage and shrimp. It was very good but as I was eating it realized they forgot the sausage in it. Nice size shrimp though. When I asked the waitress she said she didn't think there was suppose to be and brought the menu and was surprised to see it as one the ingredients. She said she would talk to the owner and took my plate. By the time a new plate came back my wife and daughter were done. Waitress told me I was correct. Owner never came out to apologize which is a huge mistake. Had a few bites and took the rest to go. Forgot to mention that they asked if we wanted more bread (which is excellent) but never brought it out. Food warrants a return visit but the service definitely lacks. Pricing is good and a very large menu. Would have given 4 stars if everything came out of the kitchen correctly.

Bread was amazing - warm and soft with a cheesy top - you don't need the butter but go ahead and have it anyway. Delicious. We could have just had this and left well fed and happy. The meal portions were huge! I had a delicious fish dish. We prefer vegetables a bit crispier but I believe they were done in an authentic manner. The server was friendly, attentive and helpful. We sat at a table outside and people watched. A lovely evening.

We went to celebrate the birthday of a friend from Argentina. We walked to Hollywood Blvd and went to eat some Pizzas to Kusifay, good product, good attention, good Price!!!!

Food is pretty good, nothing spectacular or out of this world but i find it good, prices are reasonable. The crepes with dulce de leche were really good. They have some wine selections but not much. Me and my friend sat outside on a nice night and enjoyed our meal. However, the service was terrible. I am not one to enjoy " American Type" dinners, where you get your food within 5 minutes, eat, pay and leave, no. I like the European and Latin dinners that are drawn out and long with good conversations so i do not like to be accosted by a waiter every 5 minutes coming to the table and asking if you want something else, but this was ridiculous!. The waitress was apparently training another employee, but she took forever to come to our table, never asked us if we wuld like another drink, never offered water and dissapeared for like an hour without even coming to check on us once. It is an OK place to have a bite if you are in the area, but i wouldn't make the trip just to eat there.

The food and service was very good This location is huge Our waitress was nice and answered all out questions. The bread is good, the mozzarella sticks are amazing with the homemade marinara sauce. And empanadas were good we tried all 4 (chicken was my fav) They have a full bar which is always a plus We got lobster ravoli, chicken n gnocchi, chicken parm. We shared all three and all three were great! My favorite was the gnocchis... Food came out quick! And hot! Def coming back

Was not expecting much since I dont usually have great dining experiences in this area but figured would try for lunch after reading pretty solid reviews. Ordered a beef and chicken empanada to start and have to say there were done perfectly. Had the penne a la vodka for lunch and it was one of the best I have had. Fantastic. Will return to try the pizza and skirt steak. They both looked great when they passed by.

This place was amazing! Service was good but food was to die for. We had the short steak and a greek salad. They served warm bread before hand. Coffee was delicious. We also had fries with garlic in them. It was so good would totally go back there.

Prices are pretty low and the food portions are big but the food overall was just above eatable. Got the nutella crepes for dessert and they were horrible. I never tried something this bad before. And the restaurant was so dirty...bathrooms are even worse.

I was with a party of 15. Kussifay was happy to have us and allow separate checks. I ordered the blue cheese calamari but it was missing the blue cheese. That was my only negative. I also had the skirt steak and it was awesome, the serving size huge. The banana crepe dessert is to die for. I will come back here when I am in the area.

My companion said that the steak was quite good. Definitely stay away from the pasta. It was horribly prepared, ends with cold and congealed sauce, very pasty. The wine list is nothing special. Services are average

As I do in every Argentinean restaurant we go to I had to start my meal with a provoleta and a beef empanada. Both are my way of setting myself up for what to expect. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The provoleta was just perfect in all it's cheesy goodness. The beef empanada was one of the best I've had. For an entree I decided to go with the Chicken Milanese which I read good things about on Yelp. So glad I did. The portion was huge. More than enough to share with the little one and still have plenty left over. They didn't over do it with the sauce and the taste was just right. This place is not in my neck of the woods but I plan to make a return trip pretty soon.

No happy hour specials! Just regularly priced drinks. Wrong advertising :( but food was not bad. nothing out this world, but pretty decent. my family got chicken w mushrooms-(dish is on a heavier side: creamy sauce and vegetables cooked in plenty of grease), chicken veggie soup, argentinian sausage. portions r big and cheap!

I went in their with my girlfriend and her cousin and I was highly disappointed. The hostess was to the back when we opened the door. She stated we could sit anywhere and we sat there for 5 minutes with no service. We walked out and went to another restaurant.

My partner and I had the Parrillada for 2 and it was exellent! Friendly and attentive waiter. And not that is ALL THAT important but it's the first Argentine restaurant i've been that is playing Argentinean music. For sure I'll be back!

This place is AMAZING!! We are so glad we decided on Kussifay(plus we purchased a yelp coupon $10 for $20) :) So we were in the mood for some Argentinean asado, and noted that there were a couple choices in downtown Hollywood. We decided on Kussifay as it sounded different, and had the best rating. The place has a large indoor dining room, and additional outdoor seating that is nice and roomy. The atmosphere is quiet and classy, but OK for kids if they are well behaved. We started off with some delicious garlic type bread and an herb butter concoction that was heavenly. I had a glass of white wine and my husband Quilmes(what else?) - which both tasted great but the Quilmes was a tad high at $5.50 each bottle, but i guess that's not uncommon for imported beer. My glass of wine was also a little high too at $6 a glass, but oh well. Our whole meal was so incredible we don't even care about the drink costs We ordered the parrillada for 2. They bring out a little tabletop charcoal grill which had several pieces of entrana, tiritas, vacio, morcilla, mollejas, grilled pimiento stuffed with mozzerella, chorizo, grilled eggplant, and it was all cooked perfectly and tasted AMAZING. The chimichurri was also pretty good(not as good as homemade by any means, but for us to compliment chimichurri in a restaurant is pretty crazy. We have NEVER had a decent chimichurri in any restaurant - including "Argentinean" ones) The parrillada comes with 2 sides so we opted for sauteed vegetables, and roasted potatoes. The potatoes were good, and the vegetables were cooked and seasoned perfectly. We had crepes with dulce de leche for dessert they were SINFULLY good. Our waitress was very friendly, and quick. We never had to look for her, and she was there anytime we needed something. Our bill was under $100 which was pretty nice considering the huge amount of food we received, and drinks. We will definitely be returning here, and recommending this place to family and friends :)

Great little place! We got the sweetbread, top sirloin and the signature penne pasta dish. We also drank a couple caipirinhas, which were delicious. The place was empty when we went, and the service was excellent, but tad slow.

The strip steak here is amazing. Both their locations produce the same quality when it comes to this menu item. I would comment on other items if I had tried any.

I find myself excited and pensive for the new arrival of Kussifay in the old Broward Building on the corner of Hollywood and Dixie. This building is an old haunt, many businesses have passed through over the years, popping up and shutting down. I sense hope for Kussifay however. They have a good solid menu, and will add a distinct quality to the Hollywood lunch hour. I went for lunch this past week. The decor was nice and inside spacious and breezy. The spaghetti and meatballs were solid and empanadas delightful as usual. Operations were still coming together but my waitress was humorous and helpful about it. Overall I hope Kussifay does well here. They are a great dine out, and I'm happy to have them around the corner as a round alternative to Beef Eaters.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
