Gotta love exploring culinary delights on an expense account! Just got back from a terrific dinner with a client, and I must say, Peruvian food is mighty terrific if prepared properly. We decided to meet up in downtown Hollywood on a strip of fun restaurants and bars. The weather today being absolutely spring perfect made for essential outside dining. It is maybe 70 degrees out with clear skies tonight, outside seating at most of the restaurants, and many with live music being performed. Just a great setting for a wonderful evening. We decided to try out a Peruvian place that had some nice outside tables. Roberto came by with a big smile and laid back attitude that outlines the easy going style here. He handed us the menus and went inside to bring us our drinks. Being from NYC it actually offered me some time to exhale and kick it down a notch. Relax and don't rush I had to remind myself. Started off with some Chilean wine, which was chilled. I normally don't chill wine but it was good. Started with the Papa A La Huancaina which is basically sliced potatoes with a light cheese sauce over it. Yum! We also had the Arroz Con Mariscos which was mixed seafood in yellow rice and peas. Yum again! The other plate we had was the mixed seafood Ceviche which was teriffic. Had it made medium spicy and the lemon juice base it sits in was so good. Yum again! We never felt rushed at all. The food was terrific, and the portions were large. Roberto only came by when really needed. Sometimes, we did not see him at all and wondered where he went. He is a very gracious man though, and I had no problem just kicking back and enjoying a nice meal with a good client. I will be sure to come back here again next time in town. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Just be aware that the tip is added to the bill, as they just double the tax. No biggie to me, but I normally would leave more for a good meal. Outside seating is way better than sitting inside, as there is not much atmosphere in the actual restaurant.

Found this restaurant through [none-other-than...] Yelp, when looking for some seafood on a Friday night. Decided that some Peruvian seafood would do the trick. This restaurant is located in downtown Hollywood. Given the fact that it was a Friday night I was surprised that there was only one couple dining here when we arrived. A second group arrived after but that was the extent of their clientele while we were there. My husband and I both had ceviche and papa la huacaina. The ceviche dishes were really big and plentiful. I had the fish ceviche and my husband had the fish and shrimp ceviche. We both loved the ceviche, it was delicious. We also shared a pitcher of sangria and it was also very good. I think they could improve the atmosphere. The service was good, very nice people. We liked the food and would probably go back for some more ceviche. Yum.

This restaurant needs to shot down for real. Ur refrigerator has more food and drinks than this place. They only have 2 or 3 bottles of wine every nite, and a couple of 6-pack beers that u can buy at Publix, which they do. Food, think Presidente Market. Also, this place needs pest control ASAP!

This was probably the worst Peruvian restaurant I've been to. Including those in other cities and in Peru itself. Lomo saltado was OK, a bit overcooked but edible. Calamari in parihuela were way overcooked. Juices and chicha morada are all bottled. It took forever to order the food, and even longer to get served. They served soup to our dining partner after we have almost finished our meals. Prices were average relative other Peruvian restaurants. A/C didn't work (either was broken or they were saving money), the front door was open for ventilation. Bathroom didn't have paper towels and they only give a couple of cheap napkins with you meal. There are so many other Peruvian places in S. FL that eating here is almost criminal.

Casual, friendly place to eat with indoor and outdoor seating. Gentleman owner very pleasant (family owned). Went on a slow early Sunday afternoon. I'm from out of state, have only eaten Peruvian a few times. Served salted Peruvian maize (corn kernels), salty and yummy. I had bisteck, good! Simply seasoned and grilled, the way I like it. Red onions good. Friend had grilled fish with white rice and salad, also good. Other friend had mixed seafood with rice and beans. Prices are around $10 for lunch. Parking easy and free in Hollywood!

Great little family owned restaurant. The ceviche was delicious, very fresh and light, great flavor. The desert was also delicious. I love little hole in the wall places, they're always the best.

We stumbled upon this place and ordered the fish ceviche and a couple of beers. The waiter was super friendly and nice and the food tastes great. There are tables outside for people watching under shady trees.

Small family owned. Attentive service. Get the seafood soup made with pesto and lots of fish and seafood. Same with spicy seafood soup. It had tons of fish and calamari (squid). Fish with tomatoes and onions comes with rice. It was a nice cool breeze that night sitting out on the Blvd. I thought I had chose other Peruvian restaurant, but once seated decided to stay and glad I did. With any regional fish everyone has their own spin, so disregard comment that it's not Peruvian.

We will not be returning. The portions were good, but the food did not taste good- it was just poor quality food. Definitely had alot better peruvian food.

This is a little restaurant right on Hollywood Blvd, very warm and quaint. Went there during our lunch hour and it was empty at the time. We sat and Robert came over to take care of us with a huge smile and a great attitude. We ordered the grilled fish wish came with salad and white rice. The fish was very tasty and cooked perfectly, the salad was nice with their very tasty house dressing and the rice...wow! the rice (sigh) I have no idea what they do to it, it's just white rice but oh the flavor was wonderful. All in all, it was a very good lunch with tasty food and great service. Excellent spot for a quick work day lunch, we will absolutely be back soon.

Went with a group of friends and two 9 yr old children last night for a casual meal. I've passed this place often and always noticed the live music they have for the sidewalk patrons, but had never tried it out before. Being a Sunday evening, it was quiet but pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the local scene. Our friends come here often and recommended the Ceviche. Good choice! I had the Fish & Shrimp Ceviche and our friend had the Mixed Seafood Ceviche. Both were delicious and very fresh. I ordered mine slightly spicy and it was GOOD! My hubby ordered the Lomo Saltido (sp?) and enjoyed it. This dish features sliced strips of meat cooked with onions, peppers and french fries. (A carb lovers delight!) The side dish was rice and beans, but cooked in a skillet so they were a little crisp on the outside. Different looking, but great flavor. Our other guests enjoyed soups and the children shared a Mixed Seafood Dish in Cream Sauce served with Rice. Normally the fish is fried, but we asked for it grilled and they did that with no problem. The kids loved it and actually wanted to order more! The service is very friendly and the pace is laid back. You should make a note that all items are made fresh to order, so be prepared to wait a bit. We passed the time chatting and enjoying a Peruvian Beer we had never tried before. The inside decor is definately lacking in atmosphere and the lighting is harsh, but outside is very quaint. Overall the service and food quality make up for the lack of decor. I'm sure we will be back to try other dishes again soon.

first time here during my first trip to ft lauderdale. great lil spot in downtown hollywood. we walked by and reviewed the menu and it made our mouths drool... this was the spot we'd have dinner at! service was super ultra slow. it took nearly ONE hour for our food to arrive. we should have ordered an appetizer, instead we had complimentary grilled corn to nibble on to pass the time. we finished our carafe of sangria before dinner arrived! despite the incredibly slow service... when the food arrived... it smelled great! the essence not only filled our noses, but our palate as well. we ordered the following... chaufa mixto - peruvian fried rice. a heaping dish of rice was served and my jaw dropped. very tasty and went perfectly well combined with other meat dishes. tallarin verde con bistec - the steak was tender and juicy. seasoned well too... nothing bland about this dish. the pesto sauce was perfect... not too rich or overpowering at all. they didn't drench the pasta with pesto sauce either... plus for me. flavors of the steak and pesto pasta complimented each other very well. tacu tacu lomo saltado - huge portion!! i barely made a dent! the steak was seasoned so well and was not overcooked. each piece was tender and juicy. the fries were not as "soggy" as i normally like them, but they were not dry, crispy, or overcooked... so i was satisfied. i ate some of the rice which was just as good as the rest, but i mostly combined the steak w/the chaufa mixto. great combo! the food was absolutely great... good enough that i'd be willing to come back again in hopes the service will be more prompt.

I pass by many times before then decide to eat last Friday, well this place should be closed.I asked the waitress any suggestions and big mistake what she recommended was worst fish that I ever had not eatable at all the steak same way. We ended up not eating and paid for. Waiters told us that she will tell to owner(I don't believe her)by the way ask for itemized bill because 18% tip are included.

It was just awful, definitely a fake Peruvian restaurant, did I say fake? Yes FAKE PERUVIAN RESTAURANT !!! The only good thing was the Inka cola and the chicha morada. The service was terrible I think the waiter was more focus on watching soccer than serving us, we had to wait over 30 min for our food, I was not going to write a review because I felt bad for the restaurant but then I saw my bill and I HAD to place it because it's a rip off to people for the quality of the food they serve.
