I am very picky about Chinese food and this is a very good place for take out. The actual restaurant is not very appealing and the service isn't very good. The food though is excellent, so I highly recommend for delivery or pickup. The honey garlic chicken and the beef Szechuan are very tasty.

this is your small neighborhood Chinese place. it is not that appealing to the eye but it is kept clean. we enjoy the food and service even thou it is a bit slow - no one in a rush here - it was good. very attentive to our drinks. we had several dishes and all were tasty. 2 orders of the Crab Rangoon (sorry if misspelled) these were crispy outside and nice warm cream inside. delicious! i could of eaten all 2 orders! 2 orders of the special fried rice - serving plates seem a bit small - but be aware those darn little plates hold alot of rice!! we were 4 adults eating and had plenty there and some to take home for 3 adults for lunch leftovers! 1 order of beef fried rice - this was for the picky eater - it was good too. plenty of beef strips. 1 order of Shrimp Lo Mien - this was good - crispy veggies, lots of noodles and alot of nice size shrimp - not baby size either - this was very good 1 order honey chicken - this was plenty too - crispy and generous with the honey sauce. overall - we have come here several times and the best thing is not much of a wait - they do mostly take out / delivery. food is consistently tasty. good place to get your Chinese food craving fix that hits you once in a while....

We went here on a friend's recommendation and found out to be a friendly, family oriented restaurant with delicious cuisine, especially the egg rolls.

I have enjoyed their service on several occasions. They're perfect: sincere, friendly, quick, and clean. The food tastes very good. The spread here is abundant and tasty. These people know what they're doing. I wish them much continued success. As long as they keep their standards going, I'll keep coming back.

Small cozy place but full of flavor. We ordered the lunch special #14. Honey chicken, pork fried rice and egg drop soup. The soup was amazing it was cooked perfectly, the honey chicken was fresh crunchy and the honey was amazing. The pork fried rice ehh it was ok. The owners wanted on us they were very polite and attended us quickly. This place is defiantly a do over. Go Wah Hen!

I decided to try their food after a friend highly recommend them to me. I love Chinese food and I love to try new restaurants. I ordered home delivery by phone. The gentleman who I talk to was very helpful and polite. After a short while the food arrived nice and hot. I ordered Honey Chicken, Fried Rice, and Chow Mein. I must say the food was delicious and not pricey at all. I totally recommend them specially for delivery, their deliver service is fast and the food arrives hot. Great for those days you want to just lay back and not cook!

It doesn't get any better than Wah Hen for Chinese take out in HIALEAH. Having lived in Hialeah/Miami lakes all my life I've tried just about all these whole in the walls searching for the diamond in the rough. No need to go any further than Hialeah gardens. These guys are simply the tastiest, reasonably priced, least greasy of them all. I've been ordering from these guys for about 7 years now and I'm pleased to say they deliver all over. As fate has made it, I purchased a home a few blocks from here. Coincidence? maybe not! We always order the same special fried rice, honey garlic chicken (with the sauce on the side) I like them to be extra crunchy not that these guys leave it soggy but I prefer to control just how much sauce is on my chicken. The ribs are always great too and so are the fried wontons. The best thing these guys do aside from their exceptional customer service, is include the fried noodles with every order. Back in the days that was the norm, now everyone wants to charge you for these delicious crunchy noodles. It's not fried rice without my noodles in my rice! Who's counting carbs when your eating Chinese food anyway? I always order when needing to feed a large a large group because the portions are always exorbitant. Everyone always has very good things to say about it and ask for their number. Doesn't get any better, trust that it's unlike any other Chineese in the area.

I should have written a review over a year ago, since we've been buying from Wah Hen, and only from them, since we moved to the neighborhood. Simply, delicious Chinese food all around. We don't buy from anywhere else because it's not going to get better. The place is super clean and everything we've ordered is very fresh. The flavors are just cravable. Best in Hialeah and Miami.

Best Chinese restaurant and takeout in all of hialeah and may I add in most of broward county too! Their food is affordable, fresh, flavorful and very authentic! Even when delivered your food is always fresh and hot! Their honey chicken is the best I've ever had with loads of real honey and tender soft pieces of chicken and their fried rice is really fried! Simply amazing! Trust me this place does not disappoint!

The best Chinese take out I have ever had! So fresh, I hate that I found this place only after I moved up to central FL. Now I make sure when ever I come down to see my friends and family (once a month) I stop and get some takeout :)

For a Brooklyn homegirl wandering about in the need of heavy MSG Chinese food this was a home run. We know the drill, 2 orange tables with benches, the same menu images on top, look into the kitchen... We've all been there. Portions were huge. We paid, and by accident they misunderstood when we said garlic chicken instead of chicken vegetables so they brought out 3 plates. Bill had been paid by AmEx. Yet, they removed the plate we hadn't ordered, and without us even paying attention came back to the table with cash, paying back for that extra plate. In a dog eat dog world, where everyone will hold onto a penny, I thought that this was a great example if honest hard working people. Portions were huge, not overkill on the MSG, and really yummy. Although for health purposes I would avoid eating that too often, my guest was in town for a meeting from NYC and that's what he wanted. I was happy, if need be - yes I will return.

I've been ordering take-out from them since 1997 (they used to be at another location, where the Walgreens is at on 12th Ave and 67th in Hialeah). Our three go-to dishes are: Special Fried Rice (ham and pork in there make for a really tasty combination), and Fried Wonton (love their sweet sauce), and Honey Garlic Chicken (made with real thick honey sauce, sooo much better than sweet/sour chicken you see at most places). It's a family-run business, and they are very honest and nice people. I always chat with the owner (who's always there, and is probably the guy waiting your table) and he's such a pleasant and happy guy. Expect a small casual place with huge portions of yummy (and a little greasy) chinese food!

The food was ok it wasn't anything spectacular. I ordered a few items off the menu and my favorite were definitely the Chicken Fried Rice and the Pepper Steak. They have a sampler appetizer which is nice if you want to try several menu items. The delivery was very fast, I was actually quoted a long wait and was surprised when it arrived no later than 10-15 minutes after ordering. The food was delivered hot and presentable with lots of extras (sauce, dry noodles, etc) which for me is a plus. The delivery man was very nice. I have to say overall the service was good and the price for the amount they give you is very reasonable.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
