I was excited to see a country style cafe so close to the beach. Service: The waitresses were nice and friendly. The wait for the food was a little slow though. Food: I was disappointed. There was a good variety on the menu, and I went with the hot beef.....my all time favorite comfort food. Unfortunately, the potatoes were instant and the gravy was out of a can. I would have expected something a little more home made in a place like this.

I like everything they have on the menu. Ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here all in the same week. Loved it.

It's a charming little hole in the wall, with very reasonable prices for the amount of food offered. The portions were huge, but the flavor was spotty. The food tasted a lot like it was either from a can or frozen. The salad was an iceberg lettuce conconction coated with grated cheese and croutons. There were two waitresses the night we went - one was carrying on so loud we could hear her from the opposite side of the restaurant, and the other (our waitress had a voice dripping with honey, who called us "Sweetie" (my mother and I had an interesting conversation about which was more annoying). If you want food like your mother used to make, and your mother used a lot of convenience foods and didn't care if you ate vegetables, then this the spot for you.

I'd give the hound a solid good. It's not gourmet, it's diner quality food with friendly service. We've gone for breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything we've tried has been true to form. With a big menu, there is something for everyone here.

Surprisingly varied menu, but we always come for the comfort foods. Patty melts, hot open sandwiches, crisp fries. Have had the meat loaf and also phillie cheese steak. All that we have been served has been great. They have seafood, southeastern and even a gyro on the lunch/dinner menu. We have also enjoyed several excellent breakfasts at the Hound.

Server was nice but food was awful. I ordered a steak and paid the extra for mushrooms. steak was overcooked and the mushrooms were canned and MICROWAVED. We were displeased with the rest of the meal as well.

Ordered steak. I was starving. Hadn't eaten since the night before thats why I ordered a king prime rib. Which appeared to be more of a queen size not a king, but it was good and price was a little high for that size steak. Decor is suppose to be hound dog, which I am a fan because I have one, but was more all dogs Would try again.
