They told us the delivery would arrive in an hour and it took only 30 minutes for them to come to the hotel! And the food was hot and delicious! 10/10

In order for me to give a 5 star everything has gone and go perfect. This place always gets it right. Food is great. Ambience is great. Service is great. And price is excellent. Happy place and happy food!

Don't order to go unless you have 60-90 minutes to wait. When it did arrive I had ordered 3 tacos and a soup of the day. Tacos were no longer tacos from the sogginess and soup cold. I guess your only option would be to eat at this establishment to see how good the food is.

They are easy, cheap, and quick. I cant ask for more for a quick lunch. The food is average, but it hits to spot. I discovered Taco Rico from my Delta Dinning Miles program, so if you are a Skymiles member, signup and earn 3x miles per every $ spent here. Their unlimited corn tortillas with pico de gallo is pretty good too. Be careful, they are addictive!

Been here a few times with friends and it's decent. It's cheap, quick, and the portions are quite large. I've had better Tex-Mex food in other places though.

It's like an upscale Taco Bell. My girlfriend & I decided to share the Fiesta Platter. This platter included: green chicken enchilada, steak quesadilla, jalapeno poppers and taquitos for $11.29. The plate was appealing when it arrived to the table, but the rice lacked flavor as did the green chicken enchilada. However, the taquitos were yummy & crunchy & so was the quesadilla. I would try this place again, but perhaps explore other items on their menu.

Great service and quality food. Solid draft selection (XX and corona light) and great game day specials as well. Way better than your hole in the wall Mexican joint. Cashier caters to customers by bringing food to table and restaurant is extremely clean also.

Pretty good place to go for lunch, but its usually very busy during lunch hours. I guess its because most food on the menu are good and the prices are pretty reasonable. I usually order my lunch from my office online so I can skip the line and go right to the counter and pick up my food. I ordered the beef taco platter last time which was pretty good. The usually run different lunch specials all the time so you get a lot of variety.

Fajita salad is a must. Make sure you have it with steak. Extremely filling however do NOT eat the free nachos they hand you when you initially order. Will lessen your appetite HA.

Lackluster at best. I had the suiza enchiladas with a bland green sauce. I'm from Cali. I'm used to big bold flavor- especially when it comes to Mexican food. This was blah. They get one star because I halfway likes the non-alcoholic watermelon slushy thing...

I am a huge fan of the Taco Rico on US1 (five minutes away from the University of Miami), so when I visited this Taco Rico, I was a bit skeptical. Would they be able to meet my expectations? Would the food be fresh? Would they have all the sauces I loved? And the answer was: yes, Yes, and YES!!! This Taco Rico is definitely as good as the one by US1, and since it is by my house I come here often. The chips always come out warm and fresh. The meat is always cooked to my liking, and I always find it easy to find parking. I highly recommend the burritos and the fajitas. I like how the meat that comes on the pan is always sizzling, and they always give you the right amount of ingredients. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area like Chevy's and Taco Bell (yes, Taco Bell), but this one matches up finely to the others. Here you get freshness, and you also get the freshness of food that isn't found in most chain restaurants. I highly recommend visiting this place. And the adventure continues...

this place gets slammed during lunch more than my ex girlfriend. but... The absolute cheapest fajitas you'll find in town. And pretty damn good too! 10 bucks for fresh Mexican. And they have a salsa bar as well. If your on a budget and hungry this is your place! kinda hidden but easy to find also

Awesome food and great customer service. Wrong orders are corrected with free extra food immediately. The platters are a good size and very filling. The churrasco is a great choice and highly recommended. Will definitely be back with an empty stomach .

I was craving some spicy Mexican food. I gave this place a try. I had the hard tacos. The portions were huge. The tacos were very tasty. The service was very good. I totally enjoyed it!

  • Lindsay B.

Good food at fair prices. Everything that came out was very hot. The taquitos were very good. The restaurant itself was kept very clean and has a good location(across from movie theatre). The staff was very friendly and one of the employees checked on my table to ask if I needed anything. Usually at little places like this they don't do that, so I was impressed. The only negative thing I observed is that there was not very much meat in my Mexican red enchiladas. Other than that I was very pleased.

The service at this location is a well timed machine. You walk in place your order, get FREE chip and salsa and your drink and find a seat within 10 min your food is coming. They have a good selection of toppings and salsas and its unlimited. The chimichanga platter is not on the menu but should be on top. I have had this plate several time and it was perfect every time almost like a pastry so crispy. I ordered the chicken but they also have it with steak. It comes with a side of yellow rice and beans. If you want a decent meal at a reasonable price you wont be disappointed. Two ordered and drinks total under $25.

I was in the middle of a marathon shopping day on a recent Saturday when I started to get hungry. I wanted something relatively quick and didn't have time to spend in a traditional sit-down restaurant, but I wasn't into any of the usual fast food burger joints, either. I saw this place which is in the same plaza as Walmart, Hooters, Office Max, Sam's Club, etc. and decided to stop. At this restaurant, you place your order at the register, they give you a bowl of chips and your drinking cup and you pay for your food. Then while they prepare your order, you visit the "salsa bar" to get salsa and other condiments for your chips, and hit the soda machines. I ordered the steak fajitas, and before I could get even 1/2 way through the chips and salsa, my fajita wraps, a plate of sour cream, guac, shredded cheese, rice, refried beans and a sizzling hot plate of steak and sauteed onions and green peppers were delivered to the table. Everything I had was very good, and this place was about perfect for what I was looking for on this day; I had a good meal and left with a full belly, I didn't have to deal with unhealthy fast food and I was still out the door within about 30 minutes after I'd arrived here. It should be noted that this place does offer alcohol, and they have food and drink specials on certain nights and when Miami sports teams are playing.

When I was ordering my food I asked the cashier what was in the nachos and she didn't know, she asked her coworkers and they weren't sure either; extremely unprofessional.

  • Mely G.

Had this as delivery. I don't like change so I was skeptical and I wanted something different! ( I always order pizza or Sergio's) so I came to trusty yelp lol anyways it was amazing and the taquitos were top on my list! I am very picky and honestly the rice, beans and taquitos lunch special was so good! Will definitely order again! :) I felt bad cause the delivery guy got super lost ( which is common where I live) and the food got here barely warm but that's not his fault and I can't give anything less than 5 stars!

    (5)
  • Alexander S.

Food was good, had the steak, beef, and chicken tacos and they were great. Food was delivered fast and everyone were very courteous. Also free chips and salsa which is always a plus.

Have I really not reviewed this place? Being so close to the abbey, I've made this stop here on more than several occasions. And my last visit to Miami was no exception! There aren't many Mexican food places on the beach, and I love Mexican food. The beans, the sauces, the gooey cheese goodness. The price of the food can't be beat either. Love this place after an Abbey session!

Tacos are good and the price is perfect!!! The Churrasco is amazingly good for a mexican restaurant. Chop it up and get some extra torillas and make your very first churrasco taco. MMMM Place is a little small, but just have a beer and you'll forget about it. (Read my other review for Taco Rico located in Alton Rd.)

Nice ambiance, good price for a lot of food. My boyfriend LOVES Mexican food, So we have tried plenty of other tex-mex style restaurants. We had a coupon for buy one get one free item and went during there lunch special (until 4pm daily) we spent about 13 dollars and left super full. I really enjoyed my quesadilla (cheese only) but the chicken in the chimi was a little dry and tasteless. My boyfriend got the taco platter with steak only, it was better then the chicken but still a bit dry.

Nothing special, but the prices are right and the food decent. Service speaks great English, and was friendly and smiling. We'll still be hunting for a better Mexican restaurant in the Doral area. Sorry guys!

I've been here twice, and both times I've ordered the Wet Steak Burrito. It's that good. This delicious behemoth is literally donkey-sized*, which led me to question whether I would be able to finish it. And that was just the regular size; they offer a large one as well. You place your order at the counter and pay at the register. I recommend you add your tip when they ring up your order, as they actually bring the food to your table rather than handing it to you as they do at Moe's or other similar restaurants. This is not initially evident, but it bears mentioning since the waitresses are extremely attentive and friendly. By the way, they have 75¢ tacos on Mondays. ======================================================= *Okay, not literally, but I just watched the second "Sh*t Miami Girls Say" video and it rubbed off a little. Sue me.

My colleagues love this place. We go at least twice a month for lunch. This location has great lunch specials. You can get a full meal for less then $6 (with cup of water). The staff is friendly and takes care of business appropriately. The taco platter brings 3 tacos - crispy - with choice of meat, pico de gallo, lettuce and cheese. My choice of meat is chicken. Cubed chicken breast seasoned with spices, and cooked on a flat grill. Add green salsa and you have some magic going. The platter is served with seasoned rice and red beans. I skip on the rice, but never on the beans. You can never go wrong with them. All items are served with corn chips to munch on while your meal is prepared. (Everything is cooked to order) By the way, Agua de Orchata and Agua de Tamarindo are offered in case you like them. I haven't been adventurous enough. One day though, one day.

This place is fantastic, I've been to all of them and this location by far has the best staff and service. I go here at least twice a week as you can eat fresh, delicious and healthy (try the fajita salad). It's consistent as they've had pretty much the same staff since day one so its a pleasant environment. Trust me go here, everyone I've brought falls in love with it. This place is the real deal for casual healthy Mexican dining. They even have tv's and are always playing heat games!

This place is great. Fantastic value, decent food at a great price. There ultra burrito is ridiculously huge more than enough for 2 people and it's only like $12. The chips they give you while you wait for your food are addictive.

  • Melissa R.

I chose this place over Moe's on a Monday. I had been here before, unplanned, and ordered 3 soft tacos to go. They were surprisingly delicious, and the availability of pico de gallo didn't hurt. My boyfriend ordered a large steak burrito and I got the tacos again, and we ordered a chicken quesadilla to share. The chips are great, the salsa is great (regular chunky, as well as aji), the burrito was better than Moe's (I'm not really a fan in the first place. I'm more of a Chipotle person), and the tacos were actually better the 2nd time around. We decided to go for desert, and we took home a banana empanada, which surprised me in how great it was as well. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, and will continue to go there myself as often as possible. I just wanted to update this and say that I come to this place as often as I can. The burritos, salsas, tacos, everything is so good that I will specifically crave eating here!

I used to go to their US1 & Ponce location for lunch all the time. When I heard they were opening the Doral location (which is a lot closer to my house), I was ecstatic! Also, because I no longer work near the US1 location any longer. I have been to the Doral location at least 7-10 times now & they never let me down. The food, quality & taste, along with the service, is just as good as their US1 & Ponce location. I always leave happy, full & satisfied. The last 2 visits, I ordered my food to go. Nonetheless, I still received excellent service when I went to pick up my order. The food was just as good, too. If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out. If you're not a fan of Mexican food, try it & you just may become one!

This place is my new favorite lunch spot! The food is absolutely delicious. I don't feel guilty after eating Mexican, which is great! The soft chicken taco's are delicious and the salsa options are awesome. Best of all, it didn't break the bank! My total was $5.80 for 2 soft chicken taco with unlimited chips& water! Looking forward to going again very soon! p.s- Mango margarita is delicious and 1 is enough to get you in a good mood lol

  • Christian J.

Amazing lunch specials! You get your choice of taco, burrito, quesadilla, chimichanga (or some combo of these items), etc. with yellow rice and refried beans on the side. All for $6.00 - $7.00. And each meal includes a basket of chips. Easily one of the best deals in the area.. The food itself is not incredible, but it's very good: solid Tex-Mex style dishes, made quite fresh. This is one of my go-to spots.

    (4)
  • Alex H.

I've never had better tex-mex than here. I've been to 3 of their locations and the food is great at each one. It is also very inexpensive, especially when you see how big the portions are. It's the kind of place you go back to again and again.

    (5)
  • Ed C.

Good mx place, I ordered a fajita and it had some flavor... Will prob return but still needs some catching up to other mex rest. On the positive side is as cheap as it could be.

Stopped in here on a night where every restaurant was busy. Im glad i did! i ordered the steak wet burrito which was delicious. .79 tacos were also good. I enjoyed the free chips and salsa bar. $2 draft beers were the drink special tonight. I recommend Taco Rico and will be back for some more good food.

Food taste fresh. The Mexican platter gives you samples of a taco, quesadilla. And enchilada, very good. Fair pricing. Pico is on point.

  • Tania G.

well, its not the worst, but it certainly isn't the best. this place is newly opened so everything is nice and clean and organized, and i found the staff to be welcoming. since we couldn't decide what to order, we went with the sampler which included: taquitos, chimi, quesadillas, and jalapeno poppers. everything was just alright. i wasn't really feeling the flavor of the chicken. AT ALL. not sure if i'll be back...

  • Cesar L.

Just stopped by for a quick lunch. Again, while I see some improvements, I'm not impressed at all. I tried, really tried ordering different items from the menu. This food is simply tasteless. I ordered the three tacos lunch special. The ingredients were fresh, but the chicken had absolutely no flavor at all. The rice and beans had some condiment, so they were not bad at all. The decor, atmosphere and friendly staff are constant and positives things going for at this place. I won't return.

  • Jay R.

Anything here is great. Even something so simple as chips and salsa. Miles ahead of any quick mex joint. The regular chimichanga is huge. The tacos are thin shelled so all you taste the taco without fear of lodging a piece of shell in your gums. Pork, chicken , beef in that order. Go now !!!!

    (4)
  • Margaret T.

I've had their wet chicken burrito and it is incredible good! I especially like their picante sauce. It's the right amount of hotness and has this smokey taste to it. If your into hot sauces, you need to try it! Next time, I'm going to order the regular burrito and just dose it with their picante sauce and good selection of freshly made salsa! I'm also had a bite of my friends' taco and quesadilla and it was tasty as well. This is one of my favorite semi-healthy places to eat!

It's Tex-mex people not authentic Mexican, get over it! The food is pretty good, i recommend anything steak over the chicken. Not too crazy about their chicken...overall a decent quick meal that beats fast-food any day.

Flavorful beef tacos that are generously stuffed. Bone of that skimpy stuff here! Not even on Mondays when they offer their tacos up for 99 cents. Ask for a side of beans topped with enchilada saice and melted cheese. So damn good. And cheap. Did I mention this place is cheap? 2 of is eat like kings on Monday for under $15. Watermelon slushy is exactly what I want on a hot day.

3 stars for medicore food. It's basically Lime just without being Lime and without the fresh food. So once you walk in you see the menu on the wall, order from the cashier right in front of the menu, they give you some nachos and a number. I ordered the loaded fish tacos. The fish was so burnt and SO fishy that I knew there was no way it was fresh. My friend had the loaded chicken tacos and said they were alright. I'd rather not go back. I'll go to Lime.

I'm gonna cut to the chase, although you feel like you get more food for the buck and it may seem a little fresher here - just go to tacobell. Their burritos are fluffy and filling - no complaint about that. The tacos on the other hand... i tried the chicken, pork and beef tacos. The chicken and pork where decent but the beef was offensive. Definitely skip on the sour cream no matter what you order. The rice and beans that came with the tacos reminded me of the slop i was fed in prison. Those beans need some work! It's a decent looking little place and it isn't bad for dining in but it still has that fast food vibe. Beware of the cook sexually harrising you with her rape stare.

I really enjoy this little Mexican restaurant. I came across it and my boyfriend & I didnt want to wait an hour for a tablet at Chilis and boy I am glad! They have a great deal of variety from enchiladas, quesadillas to chimichangas and fiesta platters. I also love that they have lunch specials until 4 (i believe everyday)! Once ordered, you get free tostada chips(free refills!) with a bar of different heat of sauces. They also have amazing desserts to finish off with like fried ice cream or flan. The place is very cozy and the staff is friendly. I really enjoy coming here!

Holy chimichanga! So glad I stopped by to try this place! It didn't look like much from the outside but after eyeing their menu I went for it. Looks clean inside. Service was very quick (there only a few people inside). I shared the chimichanga platter with my girlfriend and that and the free chips were enough to satisfy us. For 9 bucks that ain't bad! Be sure to try their salsas from their salsa bar! They were all really good but myself, being a spice lover, recommend the hot Aji salsa. Wow! It was good on everything! All in all I would come here again. Do yourself a favor and swing by.

They don't deliver to my location anymore for some reason. Even though we had food deliver here several times. Last time I get food here.

This is the place to go for a cheap and delicious lunch. I've had their beef enchilada with red sauce more times than I'd like to admit. The tacos are equally yummy. The lunch specials are very affordable and they give you generous portions. As others mentioned it gets very full during lunch and the place is pretty small. Your best bet is to either go prior to the lunch rush or phone in your order.

Good tex mex for anyone whos looking not that authentic but it get the job done. I recommend the chimi, fajita, taco special, most bang for your buck and gut

If I could give this place no stars I would. I am so utterly disappointed in Taco Rico today. My office and I order at least twice a week if not more from this place. After today, WE WILL NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN. We ordered at 11:30 (early enough for a lunch order), online via eat24 website. Everything was fine until the food arrived, we were missing a Taco Salad, there was no chicken in the chicken quesadilla, and the three taco lunch platter was missing protein (as in the taco was just lettuce and tomatoes), and my sides were wrong (I asked for all beans, when I got rice and beans). I called the taco Rico restaurant and spoke to a lady who claimed to be the manager. After explaining to her the situation, she went on to tell me that she checked the order herself and that everything was fine, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I offered to send her pictures since she clearly didn't believe me, she said she would send replacements (with an attitude), almost half an hour later, the delivery boy shows up with the food... He claims that he cannot give us the correct food until we give him back the incorrect orders, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I have never in my life seen such low class, lack of customer service, and little to no importance for return customers.. The delivery boy gave me the missing taco salad and the quesadillas that were missing chicken (took back the all cheese quesadilla), and refused to give me back the correct side orders since I already ate the beans since I was starving (we were waiting over half an hour for the correct food). I'm not kidding when I tell you all that MY ENTIRE OFFICE AND I will NEVER order from here again. I am disgusted with the manager and service, they have lost me as a customer, and if they continue with their horrible service and lack of customer service, they will continue to lose customers. Save yourself and go somewhere else!

Excellent place! Located in a big shopping center with lot of parking spaces and great ambiance!! You can sit outside or inside, servers are bilingual and courteous, our food was super good and super fast, portions are huge!!! We love this place as the other in Miami Beach!!!!

I've had food from here a number of times and I tend to enjoy their beef fajitas the most. Their guacamole, yellow rice, beans and tortilla chips are good. I just tried their fish taco platter for the first time and I would not recommend it as the mahi mahi did not have good flavor and the corn tortilla was all broken and brittle. It did a poor job of encasing the ingredients for me and made it difficult to eat. Beef Fajitas: B Chicken Fajitas: C Guacamole: A Yellow Rice: A Beans: A Fish Taco: D-

I am still iffy about this place. Their beans are awful and after I wished I had just gotten taco bell instead. I could have saved some money and gotten the same or maybe a better meal. The hard tacos are awful their falling apart and soggy by the time you eat them. They do have flavor but the fact that the taco is soggy ruins that. I Might Give It Another Try and Eat Something Else From The menu. But I won't go out of my way to eat here.

Liked this place to get a quick bite to eat and if I'm craving some fajitas... My favorite dish is the fajitas. Chicken or steak they are both delicious. I like to get both in a combo. I like their rice also because it does not have that overpowering seasoning that other taco places have. It's pretty much yellow rice and it's good. I tried their chicken tacos, chimmi, & fajita taco lunch special ..... but I am not a fan of their chicken. The grilled chicken on the fajita was really good though, the one they use to stuff their tacos, burritos, ect... not so much. I also enjoyed their fried ice cream. Get their fried ice cream it's a uniquely made dessert and it's yummy. It's ice cream fried in a coconut flavored batter and it has little chips sprinkled all over with fudge, whip cream, cinnamon sugar, and a cherry on top. Not sure why it's not on their chalkboard menu..... please don't keep it a secret!

I ordered the chicken burrito ultra and it was excellent. I only ate the half of it because is too big. My wife ordered the loaded tacos and they were good but not excellent.

The girls needed to disconnect a bit from the office. We decided to go out for lunch but needed it to be somewhere quick and close by. So Taco Rico came to mind. This place is small but with a few tables inside and out. We got here around 11:30 and had no problem getting a table. However around noon this place was packed. You place your order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. They have great lunch specials and portions are large. Each entree comes with beans and rice and a side of tortilla chips. There's a salsa bar to select your favorite. I had the tacos, my other friends had the chimichanga, burrito, and quesadillas. We all enjoyed our food. Will be added on my list of places for lunch. The only reason I took a star away is due to the kitchen area being open you may get a little smell on your clothes...but nothing some body splash can't fix.

The company I work for ordered lunch today from there. The first thing I did was look on yelp for ratings. It's become second nature! Someone mentioned the wet burrito and I'm a sucker for melted cheese on top of my burrito. I was delightfully impressed with the quality. Tasted authentic and rich. Definitely enjoyed lunch. Keep up the good work Taco Rico.

This place has great food! Prices aren't so bad either. Go try it out. if you have a craving for Mexican food you won't be disappointed. They also deliver. Delivery man did forget our water bottles and there was no way of telling if we were charged for them or not. Still a great place to eat.

I was a little skeptical about this place ,but I gave it a chance . And I was not disappointed they are vegetarian friendly and have a lot of options for us , which is pretty hard to find . And I loved there food,

Let me start by saying that the rice they sell is not Mexican rice. The tacos they make are not made by authentic Mexican tortillas, in other words don't go there if your expecting authentic Mexican food.

Didn't feel like leaving the hotel room so I ordered Taco Rico thru they Yelp ap... food arrived quickly and was great! HUGE portions, fresh taste and packed well with napkins, silverware, etc.

  • Alexandre H.

I gave Taco Rico a 5 star because it fits its objective perfectly: - Small place with quick and courteous service - Great Mexican dishes, good sizes, great variety, etc. - Inexpensive compared to places like Chilli's, Chevy's, etc. It is not a fancy place, and it is not a place to go with a huge rowdy group of friends that want to be at a energetic bar scene watching a football game... it is a place to get delicious Mexican fare at an affordable price served by very nice people. Salud!

Yea baby! Found this on a quick work trip. Stopped by randomly and snagged a taco platter. Unbelievable taco platter at a lower price. It was as traditional as it could get. I love tacos!

Yelp led me wrong for once. :-( I was so excited to come here for lunch based on the reviews and our desire for some tex mex. We arrived, waited in a relatively fast moving line, and ordered. I ordered the lunch pork quesadilla. I was given a number and a free basket of chips. I proceeded to the salsa bar which was nice but kind of messy (salsa slopped on the sides and floor). Basic problem with the salsa bar was that he cups to place salsa in are teeny and the ladles to scoop said salsa into are large, which = spilled salsa all over. I proceeded to my seat and waited, and waited, and waited. My coworkers that ordered after me had their food yet I still waited. I saw a waitress with a quesadilla walk by, give a half hearted attempt to find my number, then head back to the kitchen and laid the plate on the counter. I sat for a few minutes and I decided to go back and inquire. I asked if the plate was number "Nuevo" and the lady looked at me and handed it to me. I walked back to my seat amidst the mass of people still in line and eagerly dove into my pork quesadilla. Well, it was beef. It didn't taste that good and I had indigestion for the rest of the day. I won't return and honestly wouldn't recommend it to others. The second star is only for the free chips and salsa because hey....who doesn't like free stuff ;-)

It's a authentic taco joint. Prices are good and the service is ok. Good but not during the rush. We always get steak tacos, so I only know that item. However, I lived in Mexico and the tacos are authentic.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
