It's been over 10 minutes since I first got my cookie dough twirl. It is still as thick as when I got it! Delicious! Simply delicious! Very creamy.

I had the Cherry Dip with strawberry soft serve, in a sugar cone. It was quite a bit larger than I would consider a "Small", which was nice. The ice cream is delicious, very creamy. I couldn't taste the strawberry very well because the cherry dip overpowered it. I'll have to try it without the dip at a later date. My boys got a Swirl Kit Kat Twirl and a Swirl Dipped Waffle Cone, both chocolate/vanilla. The "Kiddie" Twirl (like a Blizzard) was around 12 ounces. It was definitely a good deal. The cone was huge also, but you'd expect that with a Waffle cone. My wife got the Premium Vanilla Coconut soft serve in a sugar cone and she said it was delicious. I'd give them five stars, but it takes them quite a while to get our ice cream out and it all comes out 3-4 minutes apart, making it almost impossible to enjoy as a family in the 90° plus Florida heat.

Yum. Be careful what you ask for! I ordered a large cup of iced cream with bits of cookie dough. I received an XXXX Large serving! Totally worth the $6.

I like Twistee Treat. They have them all around central Fl. My dad introduced me to the place when he first moved here. I was astounded and thrilled that they have strawberry soft serve, not just vanilla and chocolate. They have a cherry dip for your cone and they also do these cool flavor bursts. I was super stoked when they built one so close to my house. I haven't had anything bad here and the prices are more reasonable than say Dairy Queen. They make a great peanut butter banana milkshake and the shakes are nice and thick. Sizes are also pretty large. The only bad thing I can think to say is that I wish they would put more chunks of Resse's cups in my twirl (their version of a blizzard). I've had a few where there were no chunks of candy at all.

Oh Real Ice Cream!.... The Joy's of that taste, that cool creamy soft serve on your tongue. None of that "Frozen Dairy Product" stuff you find these days at the supermarket, and not at all like that horrible "Ice Milk" every china buffet in this tourist town serves. No, we are talking, the real deal, using real ingredients! Soft Serve, or perhaps "custard" if your from up north. While the custard part, might be debatable (I don't think there mix has quite enough butterfat in it, but did not ask.)Tthis is still a DARN GOOD cone joint. All the trimmings and mix in's are here. They make, sundaes, floats, shakes, blizzards (they call em twistee's) it's all here and the price can't be beat! You'll be amazed at how much you get, for what they charge. They also have the flavor burst system, for those with kids who want bubblegum and other odd flavors. For you Disney freaks out there, oh they've got something for you as well.... PINEAPPLE DOLE WHIP! Yes, that's right you heard it, the real deal dole whip (just not nearly as pricey as the mouse down the street charges.) In short. Your missing out if you haven't gone here yet. Warning. Line forms in the early evening, be ready to sit outside on the patio area and wait a few minutes. For you lunch time folks, they do have a drive thru for a quick cone on the lunch break too!

This is a relatively new location for Twistee Treat in Davenport, not far from the interstate off of Highway 27. It is in the area of an outlet mall and Super Target. Twistee Treat is know for softserve icecream that is swirled with the flavor of your choice. As mentioned in a previous review, they do offer a dole whip that is very good! What could be a better stop on a hot Florida afternoon of shopping than a stop at the Ice Cream shaped building for a quick cone.
