WACK and awful! First appearance looks ok. Sign on door says they charge children by the height!!! Food was average or below general Chinese buffet style. Servers were impersonal and rude when I told them my children decides not to eat and only removed one of two from the bill. Paid left and will not return.

I entered the establishment ready to dine, the sloppy appearance didn't get me in the mood to dine. The establishment looked as if a 5 year old was handed markers and told to design a eatery. The host looked like a 10 year old wanna be rockstar. I was seated then approached the buffet apprehensively. The food appeared sloppy but had and okay taste. The waitress was extremely harsh to my party worrying about little things. She was upset and at one point I believed she was going to ignore our table. She was slow at brining refills and just say in the corner playing on her phone. We left a beautiful tip for the lady and she still was upset with us. I will never walk into a scummy place like that again unless I'm hungry. I would not go here if you like you're figure as it is. I proceeded to run across a busy highway and felt as if I was going to lose my lunch. Now all I wanna say is "We Out Here" "And One!"

0 stars. Worst Chinese buffet I ever tried. If u want to eat cheap food in the area go to the Cici's pizza on the mall across the street.

WARNING: Do not go to eat to this horrible place is better to go to a mcdonald's, instead of wasting you'r money in a nasty place like this, we used to go eat to This place & my family & me stop going like for 2 year's for the horrible service they have, we said we will not go back again until today just cause my mom want it to go, so i said okay just for her, one of the chinnese servers if you can even call them servers, we told her that we want to seat next to the window & she got al mad, cause she want to sit us where she want it to, & she start throwing all the utensils to every each of us on top of the table, & ask us in a very very rude & mad way what we want to drink, at the end of the meal i spoke with the manager who was a woman like in her late 40's & start explaining her & she start laughing toll her don't laugh cause this is a serious matter that's why all the servers are the same as you so disrespectful & with such a terrible service to the client, honestly this is the worst place ever to go to eat, it might look kind of okay to eat from outside but is just a cover believe me, don't waste you'r time & money in a place like that, there is way better places than that, dont let them trick you, i never put reviews but now i really have to we left so dissapointed about everything in that place, never ever going back again, if i could give them a 0 i would but i can't, plus they just have very few varietys of food, & food is not to good either, have a nice day.

First and foremost, I can`t understand why this Chop Suey House gets slammed so badly. Is it the biggest and finest American style Chinese Buffet in Florida, of course not. Its located on Route 27 in Davenport Fl located in the middle of the State in Polk County! Want something fancy with a huge selection and willing to drive 30 plus miles and pay a bit more, Lings Buffett in Lakeland is your spot. Getting back to the Latino kitchen help, and the point is? The Owner/Chef who (was) Chinese and he was constantly bring out fresh items and refreshing the Buffet Trays. True, some items were (warm) not Hot, but flavor and quality was decent. For $6.99 to stuff your face at Lunch, what the hell do you expect? Its not Chinatown in New York, Boston, Chicago or Montreal. If your hungry for a Chinese fix and your driving by, give it a try. The Food quality and selection was actually C+ to B-, the place needs updating, refreshing, and new carpeting. The Bashers should just do your thing at Micky D`s and stuff your face with a dried up hockey puck hamburger. Stop crying!

This Buffet Restaurant is dirtiest filthiest restaurant ever. The food is not even close to WORST. Try another restaurant if you want to have quality food. Food should be served fresh. I will never eat in this one for life.

The worst Chinese buffet in America!!! The foods texture, smell and taste is like it's been re-heated several times and still bring served. To all you folks looking to eat good food... This place is not for you. This place sucks!!!

Service is terrible, the waitress didnot let us sit at the place We want, and she through the fork+knight front of my face. First time eat here, and never want to come back. Worst place to eat ever. The waitress ask for the tip, really??? That was surprised me, she said American have to tip after eating. Worst...worst ever

All I can say is Nasty Nasty Nasty. I could not believe it. There was MOLD growing on the wall by the salad bar. I have no clue how this place is still open. The food was just as bad. The chicken was like mush. Ive never eaten at or seen a place like this. If you have no standards and don't mind possibly getting sick then this is the place for you. That is 30 minutes and $20.00, I'll never get back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

My review may be a little different than the others. I actually got a carry out order and cannot comment on the inside buffet or food. One large hot and sour soup which I saved most of for the next days breakfast was my order. It was super hot (temperature) when I got it. The hot (spice) part if the soup was there and tasted pretty good, but it was lacking on the sour part of the soup for my taste. I have gotten this several times when passing through here and has been pretty good each time.

first time eating here and might be the last......service and food OK but the women's bathroom was soooooooooo unclean and smelly it made me sick. Won't be going back. Yuck!

The food was not too bad. I have had worse and I have had better. My favorite things on the buffet were the spring rolls, the rangoon wontons, the chicken on a stick and these shrimp "meaballs." I do agree with some of the other posters regarding the gloominess of the staff.

This place is not as bad as the reviews state, in fact it was pretty good. This is your standard fare CHEAP Chinese buffet - I think we paid $6 (yes SIX BUCKS) for each adult lunch. I don't know what these other yelpers were expecting for six bucks, but we MORE than got our moneys worth!!! I've lived in Miami Beach for the past two years, where restaurants rip you off left and right. This place offers plentiful decent (not the best in the world and not the worst either) edible authentic Chinese food (and I've spent a month in Beijing - it was close enough!). They have the traditional fare of sweet and sour chicken, mushrooms, broccoli's, etc., then they also had great add-ons such as sliced potatoes that were either baked or pan fried. They have a nice little dessert buffet. All in all I got more than I had expected. I do agree with some of the reviews that the place was not the cleanest - there was a lot of dust around the ceiling vents, etc. And the staff wasn't overly friendly but they were not rude or mean either. In fact, some guests took another guests table, and the staff had to sort it out and I felt rather bad for them. I think the low prices attract a lower class of customers - and it's unfortunate that this decent buffet has to be subjected to such nonsense due to it's "market" patrons. I would recommend this place and remind you - it's a $6 lunch buffet - not the Taj Mahal!!!

Stopped in here for lunch before an appointment and just like the other reviews on this place it was like walking into a restaurant in the middle of nowhere where they're shocked to see people walk through the door it was dingy and I was just starving .then I went to the buffet to eat .I've never had worse Chinese buffet in my life. I wasn't expecting something great but something edible .and not cold and I mean everything cold after my 1 plate I decided not to risk it any longer and I left not to mention I was sitting across from waitresses talking on their cell phones right next to me laughing cutting up I'm sitting there with nothing to drink no napkin nothing the health department really needs to be called on this place or ins

You get what you pay for. $10 for crap food. Horrid service, dingy atmosphere. Waitstaff sat to dinner whist still "serving" guests. Just horrible. Not worth the time or the effort to go to this restaurant

HORRIBLE service and food. I am always up for Chinese food and new places - but never again. I have only been once and that's all I need to know that this place really should be closed down. It's not clean, it seems like no one knows what they are doing and well... the food wasn't good, at all!

I have lived in the area for years and I have been to this restaurant my fair share of times. Now with that said some of these reviews seem a little exaggerated. I will say the building is in bad shape and could use some fixes so if your going to this place expecting for it to look brand new then you might want to go somewhere else. However the looks didn't matter that much to me considering this is the only Chinese buffet within 30 minutes. Now for the important part, the food. The food is OK. It's the main reason I give this 2 stars. Some days you go in and it tastes amazing. Other times its cold and it just doesn't taste very good. If your in the mood for Chinese then this will most likely work just fine for you. It's only 6 dollars not including a drink of course so I can't really complain. All of the above would have gotten it a three star review in my book but there is one reason I am giving it 2 stars instead. The service in this restaurant is poor. You walk in and the people working here look like they would have been happier if you hadn't shown up. They silently lead you to a table and then pretty much ignore you. The greatest part about this? They will openly remind you to tip and give glares if you don't tip them the full amount. Bottom line: if you live in the area and you really want some Chinese food then go there. It's pretty cheap after all. Just don't expect good service or the best aptomsphere.

I really had to see what the fuss was about this 1 and a half star joint and it lived to that expectation. As far as the service and cleanliness it was fine. The food not so good. Bland and slightly warm. I know this place has been here for quite a while, how it has survived it's an enigma. I don't always go to buffets, but when I do... I'll avoid this one.

Unfortunately I agree with most of the bad reviews if not all. We were looking forward to eating here while on vacation, but it was a total disappointment, majority food was terrible, vegetable fried rice was not well cooked, ice cream was melted. I wish we had read these reviews before going there

Where do I start... The first thing that happened was a gentleman or the server I should say at this point let us to our table it wasn't really a way of leading us is more of a way of going to the restaurant and just being there it seemed like he didn't really enjoy the job he was doing. The food was very mediocre and I did not enjoy the atmosphere nor the food away tasted the ice cream is melted in the servings and toppings were very very limited It is encouraged NOT to go to this restaurant or spend your money here it is not worth your time.

Does the whole building need to be torn down and rebuilt? Yea. Does the a/c ever seen to work? No. Do you like Mexicans cooking your Chinese food? Who doesn't now a days. Do like listening to the Kenny G Christmas album all year long? Duh. Is the food decents though? Yea, not that bad. As long as you ignore everything above while eating, it's not half bad. Too bad it's the only Chinese buffet within 30 miles or so.

This place is horrible to never eat here!! there's mold on the wall where the salad bar is. it is really dirty .I walked out as soon as I saw there was mold the wall and the people that work there speak only Japanese. I ask how much and she just sat us all at a table.. NEVER EAT HERE..

  • Arthur S.

Do not get there late because they do not change the food until it is all gone. The food is getting worse and the people who work there have become very nasty. My last trip there the food was so bad that I had to leave a lot of the food over and had to spit the food out into a napkin. When I was paying they said you can not leave the food on your plate over and I explained to them the food I had left over was not any good and that is why I left it over. Instead of them apologizing for the bad food, they told me not to ever come back. Even though it is just about the only Chinese Buffet in the area I would not recommend anyone going to this restaurant.

This place should honestly be condemned. First they had no dhec rating posted. You go in, no one greets you. The windows are wet with humidity and the inside feels like a jungle. The ceiling tiles are black with mold and even though there were barely any customers, there were dirty tables everywhere. The waitresses were rude and kept coming to the table to tell us the price and kept changing the price. She had no perception of personal space. They said that a 7 year old that was with our group was too tall to get the child's discount. They even had a line on the wall to measure. It was ridiculous. The food was awful and they had the nerve to serve sushi in that nasty place.

I went in there for lunch with my youngest daughter and the first thing that put me off was the waiter that led us to our table. There was no greetings or hello, but a grunt to follow him like he was leading us to prison. His movement reminded me of the way those zombies walk in 'The Walking Dead'. The food itself was very palatable and typical of a New York Chinese buffet. Kudos to them for having Egg Foo Yung! Whoeve made the sushi apparently did not know the definition of sushi and slapped anything on top of rice. Rice and imitation crab meat, rice and egg, and even ric and pork?!?!? I kid you not! The atmosphere was gloomy, they apparently were trying to save money on electricity to the point where there was no light in the dining area. There was however sun light coming from the outside, but the feeling was like I was hving a meal at some vampire's home. I did however experience some cultural entertainment. We seemed to have sitten across the way to couple of employees, who were making eggrolls and trying their best not to stare at me directly. I didn't have to know chinese to know they were talking about me, they kept on pointing with their lips towards me as they spoke. Dessert was the usual pastries and ice cream you find anywhere else, and was adequate. All in all, I have never ever been to a buffet like this in my whole 39 years of gluttony!

Their ice cream is melted, the deviled eggs aren't deviled eggs as they are dressed. They're just boiled eggs, halved and sprinkled with paprika. Crab legs are extra, all the food looked dried out and their layout is poorly placed. They are in need of a revamp. I unfortunately was very disappointed. The only nice part was our server.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
