I have been to this Perkins twice for breakfast. No complaints, service was prompt, they stayed on top of the coffee refills and the food was good. They happily accommodate special requests.

The really nice thing about a late night, 24 hours restaurant is that is quiet at 2am. After a night out, it's nice to eat in a quiet environment. The food is decent with a fairly large selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner type of offerings at any time of day or night. A bonus if you have a sweet tooth - different types of pies are avaliable.

Perkins is good, but it is nothing special. I do like it though, because it has a private room. We have had the same waitress for almost two years. She is on the ball, fast, and polite. I always order the same thing - a short stack of pancakes and a side order of sausage links. It is always just what I want. The pancakes are light and fluffy. The are warm with the right amount of butter. The syrup is perfectly sweet. The sausage links are cooked with a nice brown on the outside. And they all match well together. This, plus a soda, is under $13. Good price for the food.

I've gone here many a night, and it has never disappointed. I truly appreciate the coupon cards that show up in our mailbox once in a blue moon, and we can't wait til the next one arrives. We are so impatient, that we will go, coupon or not. My love of Perkins developed from countless sorority Founder's Day breakfasts that I have attended. There was no better reason to roll out of bed, look presentable, chow down, and then study for finals. The love from Perkins followed me from Orlando to here, where I conveniently found a house that was minutes away from a Perkins. This Perkins! I love their prices, their service, their comfort food. I love that coming here at any time of the day, I can order anything, and be happy with it. I love that they have a sugar-free wildberry pie. I love their salad varieties to support my current low-carb diet. I can't wait for another day when we don't feel like cooking and we come back!

I love Perkins and this one is particularly good. The food is always good and hot and the service is always fast and friendly. I frequently get takeout and it's always good and right, they check and and double check it in front of you. And oh the bakery, the muffins and the pies are just delicious. As of this writing (1/28/15) a lot of the people doing construction on the highway 19 overpass are parking in the perkins parking lot so don't be discouraged if the parking lot looks full the restaurant may not be.

This review is for service only, as the food hasnt been bad in previous experiences. We went sunday the twelth. We were absolutely starving and chose perkins because of the variety of breakfast and lunch. We were seated in a very crowded room and our waiter was a guy who talked a little too loud, thought he was a little too cute, and whose eyes were a little too crazy. We had just sat down and our waiter asked if we were ready. We said just a minute so we could read the menu. He didnt come back for over fifteen minutes. When we were finally able to flag him down he laughed and said 'well i bet you wish you were ready when i was dont you?' It was so rude. We put in our order of basic breakfast. After waiting an hour we started hearing other tables complaining. Our waiter would walk up to each table and loudly state that the food is coming as fast as it can but there is a very large party that is being served, then he would point to the adjoining room that was empty except for a table of about ten people. It didnt seem like a really big party and it absolutely shouldnt have hindered the kitchen from serving anyone else for over an hour. I was also left wondering how this 'large party' was able to have the dining room all to themselves while the rest of us were sitting so closely packed that we could overhear each others complaints. One table tried complaining to a manager and the manager offered no apologies whatsoever, but also blamed the 'large party' and walked away. When we were told again that there were more tables ahead of us yet to be served we finally got up to leave. Our waiter said 'would you like a cookie for the road?' We said yes. He handed us one cookie. There were two of us. Thanks? Then as we were walking out he shouted, 'dont worry, ill pay for your tea!' It was a tea bag and hot water i had ordered and drank over a very long hour. Perkins, if you need to shut down for a 'large party' post a sign on the door and quit wasting peoples time waiting for their egg over medium. And honestly if ten people is too big a party for you to handle you may need to rethink your hiring decisions.

The food was very good and the service was very good. No complaints there. I found the gentleman walking around doing balloon animals and magic tricks a bit annoying, but a couple of families with small kids liked it. My boys had no interest in him.

In the day the place is full of white cap regulars who know all the staff by name, came as a group of four, two of us ordered the fried chicken sandwich, one had a breakfast, and one had the turkey dinner. In my opinion, Perkins is not where you go order a Turkey Dinner, and I think he learned his lesson(it wasn't BAD...just wasn't quite the Grandmas Thanksgiving he had anticipated, with the trangle of cranberry jelly and all) Besides that, everything was fresh and good. Service was very nice. We imitated our elders around us, and sat, after eating, for a total of three more hours. The food must have hypnotized us, I don't know. Got a crazy cookie when we left, which is half sugar, have chocolate chip. Super Nom! Overall you can't really go wrong at Perkins...unless you order dinner

In Clearwater for a business trip and didn't know where to go eat, so we hit up Perkins. It looked/sounded like good old home style American food and I was in the mood for fried chicken. They didn't have fried chicken, as a matter of fact, almost 2/3 of their menu was breakfast. To satisfy my cravings for fried food, I ordered the fried shrimp. It was ok. The clientel was older, and the decor was like Baker's Square, the food was similar too. There was nothing wrong with the experience. I'm just giving it two stars because there are way better choices for restaurants in the area and I probably won't be back.

I think I like this place more for the sentimental value than the actual food. This place has been around forever and is THE place to hit for 24 hr dining. Whatever time you end up rolling into this place - the breakfast food and baked goods are the only things to hit up. Plus, who can ever forget the dare to use the line "can I have your digits?" and have it actually work! wow.

The food was good both times I went while working in the area. The prices are fair for what you get. The service on the other hand was very inconsistent. Great the first time around, absolutely miserable on the second visit. I should see a server more often then two times. After she delivered the food I did not see her again until after i walked back to the kitchen to get a refill for my drink and some extra napkins to clean my hands after finishing my burger. No real appology for the poor service either. Since it is the only 24/7 restaurant in the area I would most likely go back if I was in the area again.

They are always out of something. Unbelievable! Service has really declined. The only good thing is the pancakes are still fluffy, overcooked, but fluffy.

Italian chicken salad to go, a handful of lettuce, a third of a grilled chicken breast, and no dressing. $9. Rubbish.

Service was great, food..not so much. Very bland. It'd be nice to have more flavoring in the food.

Great breakfast spot. They are open very late, so this was always a stop on the way home from a night on the town.

I like this place a lot! I think this place is the best 24/7 diner in the area. I used to go to this place past midnight with my husband, and there are many people dining. They maintain an clean environment unlike Denny's and they always have nice friendly servers. I love their southern fried chicken in a skillet. It is so yummy and comes with hash brown and a delicious muffin (banana nut is my favorite). P.S. Their water is straight from tap. Order an orange juice or something else.

This is a great Perkins! Free WiFi, food came out fast, and clean. What more could you ask for?! The staff was very friendly and checked on me more than once.

The food was great, servers were nice as well. I only gave them three stars because the place was kind of dirty and they gave me a to-go box that had dirt and hair on it... Also, silverware was dirty and I had to bogart more silverware from another table. Very inexpensive food though and wasn't a bad experience at all.

Perkins' lighter style omelets have always been my personal fave. Had my late-night birthday dinner here with the Hubs last Saturday night. We had a fantastic server named Kayla. She was super friendly and efficient. I had the ham and cheese omelet. The Hubs had a big meal with a funny manly name that I can't recall. He likes his hash browns, bacon and eggs well done and Kayla made sure they were. He was a happy man. I wish they would bring back the deli ham and cheese omelet. I would be an even happier girl :)

Poor slow service on Sunday. Ordered pork chops with apple sauce. The pork chops were way undercooked and white in appearance and smelled of raw pork. I had to send them back. The applesauce was served in a small plastic container the same size as you would receive a side order of blue cheese dressing with wings and consists about 2 tablespoons total. I was totally disappointed.

We decided for a breakfast for dinner kind of evening. There is nothing fancy here. We are quite partial to their pancakes. This location could to do with a decor refreshing and update. The friendly staff made for another pleasant meal here. We ordered the Tremendous Twelve and it was good but not great. It still amazes me how much diner's charge for breakfast foods. It is definitely a "cash cow" for restauranteurs. With their front counter full of pies and muffins tempting us as we leave, we scurry past until another day.

After a few years of living in Florida I've finally tried Perkins. I would compare this restaurant to the likes of Marie calendars and bakers square because they serve fresh baked pie with typical American diner food. I had the trio: tomato basil.soup with a half chicken sandwich and a slice of pie. I must say it was a good.deal being that it was all under $10. The service was good but our server was a bit awkward...friendly but awkward. However this place didn't give me a wow factor. But it definitely serves its purpose...to be a good 24hour diner bakery especially if your on a tight budget.

1 hour for 2 appetizers. Not very busy, only about 5 other customers. Food was cold when it finally arrived. They took it back and put back in the fryer to heat it up. When it came back it was sopping with grease. The waiter offered to warm up the dipping sauce, when it came back in the same plastic cups, the cups were warped, which means he nuked it in the plastic cups, very toxic. Another waitress brought our check, and without any apology proceeded to complain about the owners not staffing the store properly and that she was the only one there that knew what she was doing. That may be the case but don't complain to an already pissed off customer about it.
