Very nice outdoor meal: Ahi tuna salad over delicious mustard-dressed baby greens, and string beans Chilean sea bass over red quinoa and wilted baby spinach Seared salmon w jasmine rice Home made Fettuccini w vegetables We asked for no black pepper on two of the meals and the waiter had the foresight to know that a pre-made mango-cilantro-mojo sauce that comes with the salmon had black pepper in it, and avoided it. Everyone pointed out how good the meals were. Even the seat on the ahi tuna in the salad was perfect. Well done!

BE CAREFUL BETTER TO PAY IN CASH!Food is good but service is terrible. They charged my card more after receipt was brought to me for a different amount when called to request my refund Manager EDMUNDO told me I was lying and said "I don't know what to do" TERRIBLE!! I won't be coming again! Totally different than brickell location, totally disappointed

First time at Novecento Aventura for dinner tonight, we were greeted and seated right away as it was not too busy. We enjoyed the crab cakes and calamari as appetizers, both dishes were really good. Entrees were great, seafood risotto was delicious and the skirt steak was perfectly cooked to a medium. Our servers were nice however, some of them did not understand when we asked for some extra items or desserts. They sent other servers to "confirm" the order. This happened 3 times during our meal. Ambiance and decor are nice and our party of 4 enjoyed a great evening.

Found this place by accident by getting out of the rain. Just in Time for happy hour which goes to 9pm on some items. It's a argentine restaurant with an Italian flair. Nice brick oven. Had the flat bread 5 bucks and some beer was great. Customers ranged in age. Staff was friendly.

Had a wonderful experience. Everything from the drinks to the bread to the appetizer to the entrée to the cappuccino to the service was exceptional. One of the best meals I have had in a very long time.

If you're looking for an enticing and seductive ambiance as well as delectable food, look no further. NOVECENTO has captured my eyes as well as my palate. This delicious Argentinian restaurant has quality cuisine and extraordinary service. The specialty recipes are absolutely savory! One of their MUST HAVE'S are the exquisite beef empanadas, however you must accompany this bite with the best house red wine. Novecento exceeded my expectations, I definitly recommend this restaurant to everyone looking for a nice night out. It can not get better than great food, a sublte and enjoyable ambiance as well as pleasant staff and an outstanding customer service. Thank you Novecento, I will be back soon!

Server was very nice but you can tell the place is weak in the management department. The staff was good on balance you could just tell there was no order. Bus staff was outstanding. Food came out at a ridiculously slow pace. Bread was meh and I found it odd an Argentine place doesn't send out chimichurri with the bread. Ask for it Bc otherwise the bread kind of sucks. Provoletta was good and big enough to share. Gnocchi was great .

Went here on Sunday around 3pm and to my surprise they serve brunch till late afternoon so that was pretty cool. The menu has alot of cousine options from steak to pasta and Mediterranean style dishes. The portions were very nice and the flavor was excellent. Service was on point.

Come here often with my co-workers, this is a place that has a nice armosphere, nice food and a good wine list. Service is most of the time good and they have this "healthy" dish for lunch that is quite good. All in all, this place does not disappoint! Enjoy

Ok. These 2 stars average out a 4 star tiramisu desert and a 0 star entree. The manager was kind enough to comp the desert because of the lousy tasting entree. As we plan to give it another try, I'd rather not point out which dish we ordered. Nice atmosphere and the service was excellent.

Food is really good although not a bargain. Wait staff is busy at night. The empanadas are must haves.

Overall the atmosphere is nice but the things I didn't like were 1. When I placed the order he had a very hard accent didn't seem to understand what I was saying, I said no cheese please and extra sauce and he looked confused so I said no dairy and he said oh ok but then when the plate arrived it came with cheese and barely any sauce lol, I didn't make a big deal over it just picked it off and asked for more sauce. The dish was almost cold but I was starving so I ate it regardless. 2. An additional waitress came over to clarify the order and I told her my order as well and it was still wrong then when I was eating the last bit of the bread from the plate she grabbed it away from me with the 2 rolls still on it and grabbed my dipping sauce away to lol I was like wait I'm not done and she was like oh ok sorry lol Other then those things the overall set up of the restaurant is nice and the menu is extensive just seems like the people there aren't exactly aware of what's going on.

Soooo expensive for food that wasn't even good. Don't order the calamari appetizer- it's basically rings of rubber and doesn't taste fresh. The service wasn't great either. I didn't eat most of my meal so I asked to have it wrapped up so i could take it home. The waiter collected the plates and silverware from our table and stacked them on my food that I wanted to take home. Ew. That doggie bag went straight into the trash when I got home. Don't go there. There are soo many better restaurants in the area.

The food is excellent. Special quinoa salad is unfortunately not available on weekends; it's really great. Atmosphere is nice, food quite nicely presented and tasty. Service is definitely lacking. There were no tables available for lunch today so I sat outside. Big mistake ...the waiter was nice enough when he arrived. ..had to use my cell phone to call and get an ice tea refill. I will return. Hope they fix the problem. Milanesa is excellent, definitely not greasy. .and the truffle blue cheese fries as wellm

OK, so probably not the best idea to have taken a vegetarian to a steak house.. We ended up having pasta and salad, was just okay, I saw the steaks at the table next to us, looked very good! We had creme brulee for dessert, which made up for not having meat :) I would go back, cool place

So this spot used to be Zuckarellos and they were awesome on every level. Now onto Novacento. The ambience is nice and the establishment gets five stars for looks. Everything else not so much. The service sucked. The food was not to order. Steak medium well was served rare at best. Way way way overpriced for the quality you are receiving. No paper towels in bathroom. The only thing worth praising was the nice lady who kept your water glass full constantly and the young man who delivered the substandard food. Will not return here far far far overrated.

Had a lunch at new for me place. Let me start that for the price on the menu service have to be more then improve. At first I don't think my waiter knows how to smile. His greeting was very poor. Then he never give us any offers or explanation in the menu. After we receive food and finish our lunch he finally show up outside just in time so we can get a check and go. Never checked on us how we liked the food. And just to finish - he charge wrong price and after we give him cash for original wrong recite he promise to adjusted it. Took the check and money and come back with only money back for adjustment. So he had about 25% tip. Very disappointed. Hope that some one will care to check on service in such nice place. Food was good.

Miami Spice 2014 - pretty good menu, 5 out of our table of 7 people chose it. They tried the empanada, carpaccio and ceviche. I think the best appetizer was the carpaccio. The empanada looked too fried and the ceviche was very small. For the entree, they all got the picanha a la parrilla but the opinions were mixed. The steak was way over cooked for many of them even though that is how it is prepared. For dessert, they tried the chocolate mousse with marshmallows and mango cheesecake. Both really good. I personally got a lomo a la parrilla (beef tenderloin with sweet potato puree, arugula). It was two small steaks, both delicious, very tender. We enjoyed their happy hour 2 for 1 drink as well. Overall it was a great diner. It is loud inside and it's bothering to maintain a conversation.

If there was something lower than one star, I would give this place that. Slow doesn't even begin to describe this place; it would have taken me less time to find a cow, slaughter it and prepare the meal before these guys could bring out my over cooked steak. I would've left this place earlier if I could have, but it took them 20 minutes to walk over to my table AFTER I had finished eating again. Safe to say I'm never coming back after this.

Pretty good. Service is good. Nice variety of reggae music playing. Food was adequate. Yeah, just adequate. Nothing to write home about. More of a snack and drink place in my humble.

I have been going to Novecento since they opened their first location in SoHo in the early 90's and I'm a big fan. I have visited all of their US locations and visit the Brickell location at least once per week. So I had been looking forward to visiting the Aventura location ever since it opened. So here's my summary: In terms of food, my expectations were met. The food is excellent and consistent with their other locations. I did notice a few items missing from the menu (e.g. the Plato Saludable) but can't say if this is because it was a weekend or just because they have small menu changes between locations. With respect to the space, it actually exceeded my expectations. As compared with the other venues, the space distribution is better, the bar is located centrally in the room and some of the decoration details were very appealing... all without losing the characteristic Novecento look and feel. Where Novecento Aventura failed to meet my expectation was in staff friendliness and attentiveness. We showed up, on time with a reservation for five and they did not have a table for five available. Instead, they offered a booth (for 4) with a side chair -- not terrible, but not optimal either. It took at least 15 minutes for a waiter to offer us anything to eat or drink. And when our waiter finally showed up he was indifferent and unwelcoming to the point of being almost rude. I will return and give Novecento Aventura a second try, but not a third. With Novecento opening in Midtown (walking distance from my office) and felling right at home in Brickell, if Aventura does not improve their act and show a different attitude toward patrons it will get scratched off my list.

Beautiful place with a bad attitude from the manager. We went for a lunch on Saturday, beautiful day in Miami and a nice breeze. For that reason we chose to sit outside. It was playing a good music and we were loving the place, until we ordered our wines and a football commentator start screaming from the speakers. They shut down the music and didn't care about other customers. We polite asked what's going in? And the manager came with an attitude, "Sorry, a client request for the game". Well, what about the other clients? Did I say the game was in loud Spanish? We decided to leave and never come back.

We've been anxiously awaiting the opening of this restaurant and although the food was good, the service was lacking big time. Even for a Monday night they were busy, but our waiter seemed to be running around and not really being mindful. To eat we had the churrasco steak and the tuna. Both were really good but my fiance's steak was practically well done, even though he asked for it medium. Other server mishaps included our mojitos waiting to be picked up at the bar for at least 5 minutes and the extra bread we asked for never showed up. I was curious to have a look at the dessert menu but given the slow service I opted out this time. As the previous reviewer said, we too hope this place does well because truthfully we'd love to make this our happy hour spot. But the service definitely needs to get its act together.

My friend and I were so excited to try this place during our short stay in Aventura. However, we were quite disgusted by how we were treated at the entrance that we didn't bother to eat there. The hostess, who was busying talking to someone else, disregarded us and we were instead approached by another lady, a server (she was wearing a uniform and apron). Upon asking about their seafood options, she hurriedly answered us and didn't make any eye contact. We decided to go elsewhere where our money and patronage was more valued. Needless to say, I am wary now about even sitting there for a meal and experiencing their "customer service". Those seated seemed very pretentious and bourgeois.

Weekly dining, always an excellent experience! The food is amazing: pasta, steaks, great wine selection. Service is charming and attentive. Their brunch menu is awesome for the price. Go a few times, they treat you like family.

Terrible quality. Not the best service. Too expensive for its value. Not worth it. I thought i could have a decent food while watching a soccer game, but definitely no. The one in key biscayne is pretty similar.

I consider myself being a fair person. Tonight I had dinner at Novecento, the food excellent, the service, waiters, hostess excellent, an awesome experience, everything you need was served very good, fast, with a very good attitude., of course I like good food, and this restaurant is one of the Best at Aventura. Congrats Novecento!!!

The place looks great. You have a big parking lot outside and also valet parking if you want to. Inside decor have many argentinean vintage things and the crowd is upscale. Food is very well prepared, lots of waiters and staff and music all the time.

Food is ok but service or process is not good: i ordered novecento salad in 2 ocasions well done and it came back raw, the issue was solved but should have been avoided to provide a great experience.

This place is totally consistent with simple and well prepared food. The atmosphere is always pleasant and relaxed. The decor inside is what I would imagine an Argentine cigar and wine bar would be...dark wood, big bar, a few red details. The outdoor seating area is very nice with regular tables as well as couches and private "tents", all surrounded by healthy ficus. My favorite dishes are the Picada Creola, chicken or skirt steak milanga, ensalate Novecento. On weekends they offer a traditional Argentine assado on a personal grill plate with sizzling meats, chorizo, etc. just as you would find in Argentina.

Very slow and inattentive service. I did the Miami spice menu. I had the empanada for appetizer which was good. Tilapia for main entrée which was ok. The mango cheesecake is a regular cheesecake with a mango sauce. Would not recommend it and definitely will not go back.

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening. We had reservations for 8pm. I got there at around 7:45 pm. The host would not seat me until the rest of my party arrived. I thought this was unnecessary since the restaurant was not full. But the worst part was that the host didn't smile once and rarely made eye contact. We were finally seated and we asked to be moved. Their two top tables are large and square. They are built in a manner which places you too far from the person in front of you. We were kindly moved to a four top (same size but 4 chairs) by the restaurant manager. The manager was very accomodating and very nice. The food was magnificent. I had a special which was not on the menu, ribs. They fell off the bone and were very tender. The appetizer was extremely delicious; mollejitas. I recommend them. The table service was good but they did try to rush us in order to turn the table. They kept trying to clear the dishes even though we hadn't finished. At one point they waited until I took the last bite. This is totally unacceptable. Valet service is right next door at a flat rate of $5 (or $6, can't remember now). They had a DJ playing music but gratefully it wasn't very loud and was pleasant. The reasons I didn't give the restaurant a 5 was that they should buy two top tables that are made for two people. They used 4 tops and placed two chairs. This really is important if you want to have any kind of conversation without yelling. Also the host should have seated me without having to make me wait for the rest of my party and most importantly he should have been more friendly, smiled and made eye contact. And the busboys should not try to clear you out so fast. If they remedied these easy fixes this restaurant is easily a 5.

The atmosphere - we sat outside - was pleasant, and the service attentive. The ceviche and salmon entre were ok - 'neither was exciting. The asado might be more their forte.

Excellent food, great ambience, finnally a good option to dinner in Aventura. We had grilled chicken with mashed potato, chicken milanga and lomito sandwich!!! And we finish the dinner with Flan with Dulce de Leche!!!!!

Upon our arrival, it took five minutes to be greeted. Place not busy. The waiter(s) - yes, they changed waiters mid-service -were completely disorganized, no one spoke English, forgot to bring condiments two times. Wait staff wer almost running into each other. Weren't able to light the gas heaters (it was a cold night); the food was average. Overpriced for what it was. No management presence. Although it's in my neighborhood, we probably won't be returning anytime soon. Two thumbs down.

Love this place! Ive been here many times and I'm always with my 3 year old and I must mention they are very kid friendly and offer a great kids menu with even a steak option. Happy hour from 4-7 they allow me to sit at a table as oppose to some restaurants who only offer happy hour at the bar. The manager is very nice always stops by and says hello, and the servers are professional and friendly. Did I mention the food is Fantastic!

We went to Novecento for the first time, as part of Miami Spice. To start, the guy who came to ask about drinks only asked one person at the table, he said "water" then he walked off, never looked at me. So, I got water by default. There were many waiters standing around, chit chatting, yet we sat waiting for water refills most of the evening. Our waiter brought our check and we had to point out that we never got our dessert. My ceviche appetizer was ridiculously miniscule. On the good side, the picanha was pretty good. We are trying many restaurants during Miami Spice, this is not one that will make it into our permanent repertoire. Service is too disinterested. They just don't care. There are too many competitors who treat you like they actually want you to come in and be a customer, to waste time where they act like they could not care less.

The ambiance is excellent, the staff personable and efficient, great music too! why one star-- the steak (house special, brazilian steak) was so tough I could not cut through it with a steak knife. After 'gnawing' on it for a while, I complained to the waitress and she suggested it was tough because it's grilled, not slow cooked. Right. my suggestion to the Chef is that he should buy Prime cuts, not low-grade choice. btw, the chimichurri sauce was very good. If you go there avoid any steak that is not slow cooked and you might end up with a good meal.

Awsome experience. Food was delicious, ambiance was energetic, and service was great. Our server suggested we try a flat bread and we were not disappointed. Also suggested the mixed grill and was very tasty. Manager checked on us and was very pleasant. Had no room for dessert but will definitely return.

I have been in most of the Novecentos in the wold. NY, Cordoba, Buenos Aires, Key Biscayne, and Brickell of course. Last night, after a concert, we called to see if the kitchen was open, and the good news was that on Fridays and Saturdays it closes at midnight, which is great news for an Aventura restaurant. When we got there, at 11:10, they sat us and they rushed everything (after several years visiting hundreds of restaurants, I know when the server just want to go home even if he's the nicest guy in the world). We shared a grill picada, which is a mix of meat, chicken, sweetbreads and sausage which tasted and looked "rushed" by the kitchen. It was a little cold but it was OK. Wine by the glass is served up to one quarter of the glass (half of any other restaurant or their Brickell location) and for the price they charge, everybody at the table disliked that. The good thing is that the manager, in a very professional attitude had the gesture of inviting us for a second round which was not our intention when bringing this to his attention, especially because I want to come back and order wine and I can't complain about the same issue all the time or expect a second glass for free since I am not like that. I really hope this place succeeds, I want Novecento to stay in my neighborhood for a while. They need to adjust a little, without the classic "We just opened" excuse they gave to a customer next to us.

We been waiting for this place to open in Aventura and our first experience was just bland and this is coming from the perspective of a party with 2 kids and adults. The place has a pleasant atmosphere and I liked the background music. The table service was better than expected, but the kitchen was very slow. We ordered the flatbread with garganzola and peaches which was good and we tried an assortment of dishes from pasta, steak, chicken and burger but all had no flavor. The portions were good size, but the prices were a bit high for the quality of the food. I don't see myself coming back any time soon, but will try them again in a few weeks to see if they improved.

food is ok. Service is painfuly slow and completely disorganized. We were a party of 6 on a saturday night and everything was messed up. Not sure i could recommend or come back. Come on cold gnocci? soup after dinner served? Since waiter knew e was getting a 18% tip, he was no where to be found for most of the meal. go elsewhwere

I have been here twice since it has opened and it is amazing. First, we finally have a restaurant that has a fun atmosphere that you can go to both for lunch and dinner. Today the place was packed for lunch and full of energy. We had a group meeting in their private dining area and it was perfect. I would highly recommend it. It has an overhead projector and screen in the room. Secondly, the food is excellent. Both times I enjoyed the food. Today I had the Tilapia and first time I had the Novecento salad. We really enjoyed the desserts. Third, the service was perfect. The owners are on the premises and they are watching everything. Everyone was very welcoming and worked hard to make us happy. I am excited to have such restaurant in our neighborhood.

  • Carlos Y.

Nice looking restaurant but the service, not good, not a lot of English speaking waiters. Our experience after two visits was the following, our waiter forgot to put one of the orders (4 in total), when the expeditor delivered the food without the 4th order, he said there's nothing else in this order and showed us the ticket, when we complaint to the waiter, he went to the kitchen and came back with the excuse of "the kitchen over cooked it and they are making it again" really?? so after several "it's coming, it's coming" 15 minutes went by, not even the manager who was aware of it came to apologize! The food was pedestrian.
