Permanently closed. Seems like furniture is being taken out. No notices or anything. Nice place to visit with kids since they could roam around. Will miss it.

Upon my last count Aventura has 3 Starbucks within its tiny radius, so an alternative coffee shop is a welcome addition to the area. We've been here a few times and it's always been good. They offer pastries, desserts and a few lunch menu items. Although I've never ordered the food, my fiance had one of their brownies (which he claimed was delicious) and while we were sitting down the owner brought over a complimentary slice of one of their cheesecake desserts. I took a bite and it was very good. I'm not much a of a sweets person but if you are, Cafe Cita would be a great alternative to the usual 'Bucks routine. The one thing I certainly love about the space is the jazz music which is always playing.

The owner of cafe cita was very rude to the point he called me a bitch. He also told me to get out of his store. I was very embarrassed but the only reason he told me to leave was because I changed my mind on a drink and bagel. I was SOOOOO SHOCKED to the point I cried!!! I've also heard the owner usually snaps on usual customers !! NEVER AGAIN will I go back there . No one deserves that!!!

Tried this spot again......... I would imagine he didn't think I spoke Hebrew...... HOWEVER, I DO. I overheard him tell a young woman in Hebrew, that the bun on the top of her head, looked like, " a black mans balls. NEEDLESS TO SAY.......I totally will not attempt to give him any of my business AGAIN.

I stopped in today because of a recommendation and ordered the Goat Cheese and Grilled Veggies sandwich, iced coffee and soup of the day, which was pea soup. There's a lot of seating indoors and out and a bookshelf to peruse reading material as well as TV's inside and out. The seating is very comfortable. The sandwich was served in a little wicker basket. I bit into it expecting a pretty good sandwich, but it was really extraordinarily delicious. The goat cheese is cold and the bread (I chose ciabatta) and the veggies are hot, and the combination was so delectable. The veggie combination is complex and provides a lot of flavor. It was crisp and so good that it's a menu item that one might crave after leaving and want to come back for again. I couldn't tell if the coffee was particularly good because my iced coffee had milk and sweetener, so I asked for a sample of the regular brewed coffee black. Instead, the owner gave me a full cup of hot coffee, which is not like Starbucks (which I love), but had a foam on top and was freshly brewed and deeply rich. The owner said that he buys the very best beans. The pea soup was served in an elegantly decorative porcelain cup and was not a creamy split pea soup but instead very hearty and delicious with a lot of flavorful herbs. Very homemade and special tasting. I loved it. To get soup, a hot sandwich and coffee is not cheap, and I also bought a large fruit cup to go and a banana. Altogether, I spent about $28.00. The owner also said that the fruit in my fruit cup is much better than what they sell in the supermarket, but I haven't tried it yet. Cafe-Cita is a pleasant and comfortable place to hang out with a quiet location tucked in the pedestrian way of the shopping center, and the sandwich and the soup were really out of the ordinary and highly recommended. Although it was not a particularly inexpensive stop for lunch today, I wish that I had also gotten a muffin to go to try one. They're probably great. Their desserts looked really high end. But, I'll be back. The food I had tried today was really great... really.

I recommend this place to many many people. I always order the banana nut coffee and it is to die for. I cant find something like this at other coffee places in the area. Their desserts are good too. I have had some of their flan before and it was pretty good too. The price is not bad either. The only thing I would say sucks is the parking. When it rains the lot floods badly and if not the spaces are so tight that it makes you not want to park and leave....but I cant resist the craving so I just run in and out! I say give it a try yourself

The best ground coffee south of Berlin. One of the only shops I've found in south Florida that use the aromatic WMF machines from Germany - you can taste the difference. Wonderful to find great European coffee close to home in one of the cleanest, friendliest establishments in the neighborhood.

Food is okay, location is okay but that's about it. The only reason i keep coming back here is because I purchased a groupon deal otherwise I would think twice about paying for my lunch here. Place is understaffed, it tends to get chaotic around lunch time (If you go late morning/noon maybe you'll luck out), the person who prepares the food apparently hasn't been taught to wear gloves because every single time I go in there, I watch him and he DOES NOT WEAR GLOVES! I have literally watched him touch the cash register and then go straight to make a sandwich. Ummmm... Excuse me? Seriously think about it twice when you go in for your lunch here

We bought the Groupon for 4 visits to this shop. We live on Miami Beach, so we only go when we're in the area and ONLY for coffee. My husband bought me a pastry on our first visit and it was awful (dry and tasteless). Also, upon reading other reviews about their food quality and poor food handling we decided not to order anything but espresso and lattes. The service is mixed, but never very friendly. I like the coffee okay, but I ordered a mocha last time, instead of a latte, and it was a disappointment. The syrup didn't taste quite right. We will return until our Groupon is up, but not beyond that. We prefer Aroma for coffee and food.

Great coffee and service . Serve breakfast all day. Have lunch selections too. Really like their banana bread!

The coffee is awesome with many unique flavors, but the staff needs more training especially when processing a credit card. My friend spent five bucks but was charged 50 dollars. Next time, we will pay cash to avoid such problems in the future.

Cute cafe with a variety of coffees, desserts, sandwiches & breakfast items. I had a veggie sandwich on fresh ciabatta bread with homemade goat cheese. I loved the outdoor seating area, plenty of room and tables are spaced out nicely so you're not hearing your neighbors conversation.

Seriously I would come back there if the owners would really stop smoking love sitting outside but the owner and his friends are all heavy smokers . That is the only negative aspect but it's near me so I go in to try the coffee not bad . It's 2014 people do something other then chain smoking like vaping it don't stink and it's mor exceptable .

With a selection of 7 different bread choices and made to order sandwiches and salads this is a great area coffee shop. Something for everyone!

Organic egg sandwich with tomatoes on whole wheat toasted bread- $3.95. Delicious. Glad to have a new spot like this in Aventura. Nice atmosphere. A bookshelf across the register holds a few books and some board games, so you can take that outside, hang out, have coffee, and play a game. I'll be coming back.

Come for coffee but forget lunch! I came the first time for coffee...excellent! 2nd time Tuna sandwich was so salty couldn't eat it and he put it on a sandwich grill (I don't like hot tuna)...3rd time Greek Salad was swimming in dressing after requesting on the side. Okay, he said he didn't hear the server ask...he remade it to go and I get back to the office - NO FETA! Clearly a FAIL.

Great little place downstairs with nice hot chocolates, brownies, veggie sandwiches. and wifi. Wish the egg salad sandwiches did not have onion.

Great new spot! prices are WAY too low.... I'm only saying that because it's fantastic and I HOPE they stay there for a while. Bagel works was terrible.... I went there often simply because it was next to where I live..... Cafe Cita has friendly service.... low prices and fantastic food! It's simple but good! You don't feel like you are bothering the people working there when you walk in like Mo's Bagel's and Bagel works..... I truely hope it is able to stay open.... I go there every morning and will continue to do so and tell every one I know about it.... because in this area it's rare to find a quality NICE atmosphere to have a coffee and bagel! My brother and I ordered plenty of food and coffees ( I also had a sparkling water) and it was under $15.... that's not normal around here!

The place is nice the service is good, but i really wish they would learn how to make drinks ... they put way to much sirup you can taste chemicals in every drink hot or cold. If the owners see this the place is very nice but change your coffee to a better tasting one .
