There are just some nights when you want to rock it out with the old dude jamming by the karaoke machine, dancing to his own beat. Here is why I am a new devoted fan of the Rear Inn: - I can go in my sweats and tennis shoes and the dude checking IDs at the door thinks I am over dressed - The beer pong players really liven up the feel of this musty old bar - The juke box works, it plays your song next, and the guy dancing next to it might just buy you a pitcher of beer when you tell him you love MJ - People actually sing karaoke, they're not embarrassed, they rock it out, and then all of the sudden you're up there rocking it with them, shaking it to your own personal interpretation of La Bomba - The shuffle board is free, it's in excellent condition and it is strategically placed next to the crock pots full of mini wieners, meatballs and potato chips (free of course) - The waitresses are awesome! They are friendly, they take your order, go get your drink and bring it back without taking a long smoke break, making a phone call or going to the bathroom in between - Everyone there is smiling. It might be liquor induced, but hey, I love smiling And let's not lie, who doesn't want to go to a bar called the Rear Inn? If that alone doesn't make you crack a smile, you need to drink another beer.

Fun cheap bar, beer choices are limited to the usual big brands on tap, or bottle alternatives. Local and waitresses are very friendly. Music is not so loud you have problems holding a conversation. 2 x Pool tables need leveling but are usually open, however cues are in poor shape. Free munchies were a nice suprise. If the waitresses are tired of "Rear" jokes they don't show it, in fact will happily join in. Very casual!

The Rear Inn is always good for an evening of karaoke, pool & good, cheap drinks. The staff is friendly and enjoyable. However, the bar is a little dark and divey, but who doesn't love a local dive bar?

The Rear Inn is always a fun way to spend a weekend night. Or for that matter, a fun way to spend a week night as well. They have karaoke 7 nights a week beginning at 9. Perhaps even better than the karaoke though is the cast of colorful characters that seems to frequent this place. This is people watching at it's best. It's downright cheap to drink here, the service is good and the bartenders and service are all really friendly. It's really easy to lose track of time in this place, it's a total dive bar, and each time I visit, I look at my watch only to realize it's well past midnight. Staying out past midnight is rare for me these days. I'm telling you - check this place out, you won't regret it!

Dive bar, true. Would the name or location give you any reason to think otherwise? :) (behind the Mexican food restaurant in front) This is a 'be true to yourself' bar. Do you want to be a pirate? Be a pirate. Do you want to dress like the 80s? Dress in neon all night long. Do you think you're the next American Idol? Well, somehow, the man running karaoke can make you sound like you are. The karaoke list is HUGE long, so get there early to get on the list if you want to sing. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the karaoke. Even I sounded great on both songs! The crowed is supportive and cheering for you, without being obnoxious. I had read here on Yelp the reviews about the man running karaoke, so I brought with me a little more graciousness than I might have. I made sure he knew that I appreciated his work for the singers, not just for me. Sure, I tipped well, but that didn't change my order in the rotation; that's okay. He's just doing his job. I could tell by his reaction to my short conversation with him that others don't realize how much work his job can be (especially with bad singers made to sound great). That night had a lot of songs that were slower paced, not as upbeat, and although I would usually mind that, it was perfect. The singers sang well, and really bought into it. Drinks were fairly priced. Other guests were welcoming and friendly. It was quite an interesting night....a FUN night; we had a great time. Thanks to the staff and the other customers for making us feel so welcome and at home!

The Good: The bar itself is a true dive bar gem completed with wall to ceiling carpet, mirroring, and wood paneling!! Grab your koozie and favorite nascar tee cuz this place is known for friendly bar staff and cheap drinks. Now for the awful: the karaoke owners are two washed up, old, miserable fucktards! Their crusty, musty cigarette singed vocals could only be matched by their horrendous attitudes. Papa Fucktard popped an attitude when I asked if we could bribe him to move our song request up. After reading other yelp reviews, none of which are good, I decided to confront him and remind him of the fact that he is indeed working at a dive bar. Apparently he didn't take too kindly to this fact and decided to physically grab me and tell me to "get the fuck out". To which I said "Do not touch me or i will call the cops. Oh and ps you don't own the bar Fucktard so sit down". At this point granny Fucktard awoke from her meth/whiskey induced coma to shout "you have been removed from the list". Needless to say I didn't get to sing my shitty song because of a couple of shitty Fucktards running the karaoke. To the owners of Rear Inn: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY PLEASE GET RID OF THE NASTY KARAOKE COMPANY!!! I know some people that would do this place justice.

Hubby and I went here about a month ago for Karaoke. It's was so much fun! Dive bar? Yes! We loves it. They allowed us to order food from the Mexican restaurant upstairs and eat it there. When were leaving and settling our tab we were amazed. 40 dollars? For 4 or 5 drinks each? We asked them to please make sure all of our drinks were on the tab, and they were. We will be back. It's been a crazy month but this is our kind of bar.

Do you dig karaoke? Do you dig tons of NEON? Do you dig carpeted dive bars? Then get that Rear to the Rear Inn Lounge.

This is a true dive bar with some of the best entertainment in the metro. After drinking from 8:30 until 12:30, our complete tab (2 people) was $26.00. Karaoke starts at 9 PM. The 5 Stars review is not because The Rear Inn is nice, because it is not nice, it is because it is FUN. Everyone should check this place out.

I'll let y'all in on a little secret. Allegations have been made that I attended this bar a couple of weeks ago after a particularly inebriating wine tasting at Spero. Further allegations allege that I consumed X number of Jaeger and Red Bulls before getting caught making out with some random dude sporting a circa 1982 mullet in the parking lot. (OK, the latter portion of that allegation turned out to be untrue - it was just my husband's twisted sense of humor taking advantage of my blackout). I'm giving it 3 stars even though I don't remember having a good time there, but I guess everyone else did that was watching.

Seriously, the worst part about this place is probably the karaoke hosts themselves. They pretty much seem to hate their job, reek of smoke, suck at singing, and don't seem to have any sort of enthusiasm. Otherwise, I LOVE the drinks and service. Nice strong jack and cokes and reasonably priced. If you're sick of trying to park in Denver, this is definitely the spot for you. If you don't mind torn chairs and divey, you'll also love this worn hole-in-the-wall bar. They are really great about letting people bring food in, as their menu is pretty much nonexistent (frozen pizza). But I don't mind, it's close to home and the singers/audience are a hoot and always make the night a blast!

Honestly this will forever and always be my favorite bar. Before I moved to Denver this was where my friends took me. I love it. Everything. Best karaoke bar, cheap drinks, always enough room for big groups, pool tables, parking. Sucks that it's all the way in Westminster but at the same time I think that's what makes it a hidden gem. I hope it stays this awesome forever.

Went back with a gaggle of karaoke enthusiasts and had a great time. There were a lot more people there this time around (aside from our bunch); our server, Rae, was fantastic; drinks were better; and the song selection was great. The KJ did a wonderful job keeping things moving along, too. And in case you were wondering, the answer is yes. The creepy vending machine is still in full effect.

This place is exactly what you'd expect it to be. The smell of hard liquor smashes you in the face as soon as you open the door. Great, no-frills neighborhood hang-out bar.

Lots better on the weekend for some karaoke. Great prices on pitchers of beer.

Every time I come here, its the same old song and dance. Cheap beer, friendly and fast bartenders and waitresses, massive karaoke selection and people you don't instantly hate. Patio out back for the smokers (not to mention a vending machine that sells smokes and a meal if you want) and two fully functioning bathrooms with sinks and soap. What more could you ask for in a bar? Oh yea, a digital jukebox, couple pool tables, a shuffleboard table, ice for drinks, chairs to sit in and tall things with round tops to put your drinks down on. Boom. I'm sold. See you there every night (oh yea, karaoke is EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK ).

This place is as divey as they come. The beer selection is absolutely horrible. The best thing they have on tap is Blue Moon. I'll be honest though, you don't come to this place for the beer selection. You come here for the fact that they have karaoke every night, the crowd is very interesting, and each time I come here I meet folks I wouldn't normally strike up a conversation with. The beer is cheap. Monday nights they have 8 dollar pitchers and anytime the broncos play and they score, you get a free shot of either some peppermint stuff or cactus juice. The karaoke selection is pretty decent and the sound system is good. Seriously, if you want a place off the radar, this is a good place to go.

Sometimes it's good to have low expectations. For instance, I went to a Mexican restaurant last week with fairly low expectations and ended up finding some of the best Mexican food in town. I had the same attitude coming to Rear Inn. My friend invited me for some karaoke and after hearing the name, I was already planning a way out of this trip. But I decided to make an appearance and was actually pleasantly surprised. First off, I was happy to see people my own age here (late 20's/early 30's). I used to live in Westminster and most bars are packed with grizzled old men and middle aged bar hags, so it was a nice change of scenery. Drinks, pretty darn cheap. A couple beers, a G&T and a shot of vodka cost about $11. I would definitely recommend not getting the well gin b/c it's just awful. Though it seems rather appropriate for a place called the "Rear Inn" lounge to serve gin that taste like ass. The karaoke crowd was fun. A decent amount of good singers who can really belt it. Generally friendly people at this bar, not always common. One thing I don't like is the lack of karaoke song books. You basically have to tell the host what you want to sing and he looks it up. The selection does appear to be expansive, so that's a plus. This seems like the perfect place to stop in after a heavy, Mexican meal at Los Arcos. I'll def be back for more karaoke.
