The view is great (ummm... you're on top of a mountain in Colorado... how can it not be?), the food is fresh and tasty, and the prices are fair..... but what I really found outstanding was the friendliness of the staff.... especially the owner. Right away I felt like I belonged. Gotta love that! The menu has all sorts of soups and sandwiches and salads.... plus breakfast items (at least during the Film Festival, when I was there)..... and there's a full bar. There's indoor as well as great patio seating. I had the Southwestern Rice Bowl with chicken for lunch and found it fresh and tasty.... with lots of chunks of perfect chicken breast. A couple of times afterward I stopped in for a quick bowl of ice cream before a film and was greated like an old friend. Oh.... and I was so happy to find a cell-phone charging station with cables for many, many different types of phones tucked into a corner of the bar. Very, very nice touch!

Pricey sandwiches that are good, and the guy who took our order was nice. But, it took twenty minutes to get two sandwiches, and it wasn't busy. After the wait, they forgot to give us our order to go, and the guy who served the order was incredibly rude when we asked for to go boxes, as if it was completely untenable request. Won't be our first choice on our regular visits to Mountain Village.

Just because it's above 10,000 feet doesn't mean this restaurant should be serving airline food. Not sure how on earth this place got 4 stars.

Our favorite bar in Mountain Village. The bartenders are awesome and somehow they always remember our names! The girls hold court in the horseshoe shaped bar and seem to know everyone and can get everyone involved in a conversation, jokes, klackers or a round of shots! The owners are a local family and they're always around to greet newcomers and regulars and make sure you're having a great time. The cafe guys are super fast and friendly and will bend over backwards to get you your food fast and fresh! Happy hour especially, this is THE place to be and the bloodies and margs are delicious! Don't go to the big corporate restaurants where some ski bum can serve you with a snarl and then ignore you, come to the locals favorite spot and be treated to a warm, fun and friendly experience. Dont believe me? Ask the stars who frequent the joint, it's not uncommon to see famous people. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Jewel, Quentin Tarantino and NASCAR legend Matt Kensith are regulars. I've even seen the guys from Duck Dynasty. We love Tracks!!

More vegetarian options and reusable/sustainable plates etc would be nice.

This is a usual rest stop at the bottom of the slopes in Telluride (right by lift 4). It's convenient, but the food isn't great. I tried a breakfast sandwich -- ham, egg, cheese on english muffin -- and it was way too salty. Later on in the week, I tried the chicken teriyaki bowl for lunch. The chicken was very bland and almost inedible. The teriyaki sauce was on the side, so you could pour on as much or as little as you wanted. The rice was overcooked. Never went back after that, though there are few other options.

Great little spot for sandwiches, salads, bowls and more! They even have gluten-free bread! I'll definitely be back!

perfect for what it is - a great spot to grab a fast breakfast, lunch or snack when you're out skiing. Or an apres-ski cocktail in the bar. LOVED the breakfast burrito - it was just the right mix of carbs and protein to keep me going during a day of ski lessons! Cheap (relatively speaking of course) and easy - definitely worth a quick stop!

Every day I ski, I find my way into the Tracks bar. I haven't eaten on the other side, but you can order certain foods at the bar. They have great drink specials and fantastic chili. It is nothing fancy but the bartenders are always great, especially Jessica. You see many of the same people in there every day. Many of them are locals and are all very nice. Welcoming, homey atmosphere and the music is great as well. A+++++

Subs are GREAT not gonna lie! (: . Didn't like the teriyaki bowl (one thing i was looking forward too)Their teriyaki bowl was literally rice, teriyaki sauce and veggies. Oh and prolly the most expensive "fruit granola bowl" i've ever had.. I paid about $6 for just regular vanilla yogurt, cheap simple granola, and blueberries. I went home and added some strawberries and bananas and a little more granola, because they just didn't put enough. Their coffee isn't even that good either. Went in one day when TCC was still closed.. My latte had grounds in it. Gross. Unfortunately very disappointed in this place. Hopefully I'll have a much better experience with tracks in the future. SKI SEASON 2013 BABY.

This place was great, I ended up there late on Sunday of MLK weekend. We had a blast playing foosball and just relaxing. Beers were good price and I have to give props to Jeff the owner who was super friendly and I look forward to going back!! ... Of course the mountain adds to the appeal, a solid improvement over BMBW in B-Ville!

I love that you can get coors light on tap instead of the god awful pbr every ski bar seems to carry. Nice atmosphere and its usually pretty easy to get a seat. Cheaper than Tomboy's across the way.

Great location - right by Mnt Village Gondola and lift. Meatball sandwich and Mac n Cheese are large portions - but don't have much flavor. They will fill you up - but flavor is minimal. Great bar area - local beer is 6.00 a glass. Nice area to sit outside.

Can't believe this place got a couple of average reviews. Totally off IMO. Look, mountain food is ridiculously expensive. It doesn't matter where you are, you're paying $5-$10 for a bowl of chili or a sandwich. That's just the way it works. So I guess what people should be looking for is quality and value. What they have at Tracks Cafe (excellent location by the way) are made-to-order (not PRE MADE) toasted sandwiches on great rolls. They are just the right not size (not too small and not too big) and are warm when they get to you. For $8.95 I got a chicken with basil pesto, jack cheese and applewood smoked bacon that was absolutely a top notch sandwich. There is also a bar there so if you want a beer, that is quite convenient. If you need a quick sandwich in Telluride, Tracks will exceed expectations

The other reviewers are crazy, this place is beyond convenient and tasty. The sandwiches are to die for, I highly recommend the pot roast with horsey mayo one. My boyfriend had the meatball one and thought it was quite awesome. We ate here at several points during our stay in Mountain Village and I never got tired of the place. Other things I tried included the chili, chocolate chip cookies, and the yogurt parfait. No complaints about anything. We also saw the owner there every time we were in, which is a good sign that he likes to stay on top of things. The bar area is really chill, especially apres-ski. It was a favorite among the locals, who all seemed to know each other and things got rowdy after a few beers. Great food, great brew, great people...there's nothing wrong with this place.

3.5 stars (gave it 4 to avg out the last post) Hello!! It's a bar/snack shop at the base of the mountain. Sandwiches are tasty (buddy loved the meatball 'wich--didn't personally try it but would not argue with him in that category). I agree the bowls were a little bland, but went in with low expectations. All in all it is decent and does the trick if you need a break. However, the best hidden secret on the mountain is the wine bar just off of the gold hill lift.

My review is purely for hangin' out in the off-season. We enjoyed some of the draft brews on their porch (near the bags/corn hole area- awesome) and also inside the bar. I consider this place the quintessential example of local Telluride hippy cool. It also may be that we were here during bluegrass and the mountain bikers were a-plenty. Anyway, fun atmosphere and staff. Next time we'll have to try the food but fun place to hang out and enjoy a brew or two. I will note (because it seems there is some contention on this with other reviews) that this was one of the cheaper places we visited while in Tride. Yep, it can be an expensive town. You're payin for the amazing view! In the case of Tracks, service and atmosphere were not lacking. Great selection of beers as well.
