We always stop for a beer. The beer is good and the staff is friendly. The brewery is tucked away in a little industrial area near the mountain village turn off. The "tasting room" is a counter in the brewery. We stop by at least once a day whenever we are in Telluride.

Some great beers here. I tried the Tempter IPA and also had tastes of the brown stout and Fishwater brew (stronger red IPA). The layout is pretty simple; they have a bar and a few taps behind it - nothing fancy. But what you get is great conversation, really cool people and exceptional beers. It's worth a stop in Telluride. And you can bike here from town along the river trail too - worth a stop at the end of the trail.

This place is so cool- we pulled up about 30 minutes before closing time, but were able to sample a lot of the beers and talk to the staff- it was awesome. Definitely worth visiting. The bar is small and intimate, but it's perfect. Drink your brews amongst all the equipment and watch the folks at their work. We sampled several different beers, my favorite was the Bridal Veil Pail Ale- it was delish! We will be back and certainly recommend anyone to check this place out. It's awesome and should not be missed if visiting Telluride. Enjoy!

TBC kilz. Russel Kelly Pale, Fishwater DIPA, Tempter, all good. The Mas whiskey barrel aged Fishwater Project and the Wet Hopped American summer exceptional. My favorite brewery in Telluride and one of my favs in CO.

If you're into craft beer then making a small trip outside of town to Telluride Brewery will be worth your time. Like a lot of smaller breweries it's located in an unsuspecting business park, probably a mile or two outside of Telluride. Be warned that the term 'tap-room' is very generous in this situation. They are obviously very short on space, but are making the most of what they have. There is a small bar and a small amount of room to stand while you drink - no bar stools, seats or tables. I wish there was a patio or something outside to enjoy the beautiful Telluride scenery, but alas there is not. On the bright side, you are right there, up close and personal, in a working brewery which is cool. The actual brewery employees also work the bar so it can be a bit hectic. On my visit they were obviously busy working on the equipment and getting ready to can beer. They did their best to be friendly and attentive, but I almost felt like I was an inconvenience. Wife and I went down the entire tap line and the beers are very good. Aside from a one or two I didn't care for, the beers were delicious, fresh and well made. FreakyFish - a Belgian double IPA, was my favorite. Prices are fair - bought a sample of everything, a pint, and a glass and walked out for less than $30 after tip. Definitely worth a stop by, but know this isn't your typical taproom. Good place for a quick beer but not somewhere to spend an afternoon.

Fantastic microbrewery in Telluride, I go at least twice each time I'm in town. They boast a substantial selection of beer of all categories, and have a great view of the mountains. The staff is extremely friendly. Buy a "Crowler" - a 32-oz aluminum can that is filled and sealed before your eyes - all the freshness of a can, with the full selection of the tap wall.

For the beer connoisseur this place is a must for stopping in for a pint. No food and no bar really, as it's more of a Tasting area. But if you're there for trying the beer then the rest doesn't really matter. I actually enjoy having a pint while standing among the brewing equipment, I feel that it ads a unique experience that you don't always get to partake in. They are big into IPAs, so if that's your preference you are in for a treat. They also have several high gravity beers as well. We sampled several beers and enjoyed them all. The staff was friendly and courteous but would leave ye be to enjoy your brew. Then when you're ready to leave they are the only place I've seen that offers the Crowler to go. The Crowler is half Can half Growler. It's a 32oz can that they'll fill up with your beer of choice so you can take it with you out and about without having to worry about glass containers. They seal it with a canning machine so it remains fresh for weeks, if not months (I only made it week before opening mine). We'll be stopping back in next time we're in Telluride.
