I am giving this restaurant five stars based on two of the best appetizers I can remember. First we enjoyed the fried pickles which were outstanding. Got about 15 pickles which were fried almost like a funnel cake. The habanero ranch sauce had enough spice to make you not have to drown in your drink. I'm from the South and have had fried pickles in about 12 different restaurants around the country. These were the best! Next we ordered the honey baked brie. Holy cheese!!!! This is one of those dishes that makes you want to skip all other restaurants the next day of your trip and just eat the same meal again. The pistachio crusted Brie was a perfect mix with the apple and honey. The best part is the value! You get a whole wedge of Brie that would probably cost you $7-8 in a store, crusted with pistachios, bread, and sliced apples all for $12. It filled my wife and I up but it is THE PERFECT appetizer for 4 people. Very reasonably priced drinks for a resort town. Definitely a must visit any time you are in Telluride for lunch or dinner. Cozy atmosphere. Visited in July.

Great meal, great service! Very family friendly. DEFINITELY get the Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos. One of the best appetizers ever concocted. Very friendly staff. They take the doodles from the paper on the tables and decorate the walls. Our kids were furiously working on their art to make the wall. Blue Plate Special is not to be missed. Changes daily and is a great value at ten bucks.

Great food! The stuffed jalapenos were amazing!!! The brunch was fantastic and so were the fried green tomatoes. Came here twice during our vacation because it was so good! The price is right (for Telluride) and the service was great. I highly recommend you eat here.

The Floradora Saloon gets three important things very right: Food, atmosphere and service. My bacon cheeseburger was among the best I've tasted (And I've had many). Only City Grille in Denver could top this one, in my opinion. Secondly, the atmosphere was inviting and interesting with lighting that encourages you to relax. I could have sat in the booth all night drinking beers. And lastly, the service was friendly and knowledgeable. No inflated ski town egos that I could see. Just competent service with a smile. I'm telling all my friends to go to Floradora's when they arrive at T-ride.

Great burger/sandwiches, everything (e,g. coleslaw, fries, etc.) was made in house. Tasty infused drinks! We were a party of 8 and we were there during 7/4 weekend, our server was great!

We ate here twice...great both times! Good service, beer selection. Get the fried pickles and squash fries as appetizer. Grilled veggie sandwich was awesome, as were fish tacos. Caesar salad was great, too. Hubs had hearty beef stew second night, and I had the Floradora Burger. Both amazing. Big heaping portions....might share something next time!

Apparantly this is one of the favorite spots for locals. We were told to go here for a good burger. The others in my group had the burger, but they didn't think it was anything 'special.' I had the duck salad ... the duck was a little rough, but the plaintains on the salad were great - it really made the salad. The service was kind of slow and not very attentive.

Great little spot. After wandering the streets of Telluride during the Bluegrass Festival with two hungry kids and not really feeling up to snuff for most of the eating establishments ( we were camping after all) we wandered into the funky little Floradora. We were seated right away and were kept busy by the crayons and paper on the table (adults and children) until our busy waitress was able to take our order. Our breakfasts were simple and yummy and moderately priced. I had the caprese scrambler and my boyfriend had the prosciutto avocado Benedict. The kids had the kids meal breakfasts which were tasty and just the right size.

Telluride does not have a lot of mid-range priced eating places, it is upscale, spit-down or the supermarket here. So Floradora fills a niche very nicely providing good moderately priced food . We had the butternut squash soup (with ginger), a delicious Floradora burger (a real burger), duck salad and cherry pie. Everything was perfect albeit a cup of soup is very little for the price. The cherry pie came with vanilla bean ice-cream and it was a really good choice for around $7. The ambiance is actually ok considering the many faux-saloons and faux-mining town places in Telluride. Not pretentious and not overly Ralph-Lauren designed "western" if you know what I mean. Just straight forward and with friendly service. Will be back. I would give it an extra star but that tiny cup of soup still nags me.

Good food. Roasted chicken delicious, local crowd, funky place. Telluride is way overpriced! Bring the money!

Bar review only. We were here in the afternoon for a couple of beers. Sat at the bar. The bartender was kind of an asshole. He looked hungover and was in some sort of argument with another bartender about who was going to work that weekend. Meh. If I'm going to spend five bucks for a cheap beer, I'd prefer to do it in a happier establishment. Maybe we were just there on an off day...

LOVED THIS PLACE!! Had the most amazing hamburger there! The Floradora Burger was fantastic!!! The service was wonderful and the restaurant was very clean and charming! It was my favorite meal in Telluride for sure!

The Floradora Saloon is a Telluride stalwart but recently things seem to have gone downhill. A late night dinner over Memorial Day weekend may have been the straw that broke the camel's back. We were disappointed to see that entrees had been excised from the dinner menu, and we were further shocked to see the revised price tag on some items: $5 for a side salad that fits in a ramekin and $6.50 for a cup of soup that's diner-sized is really beyond the pale, even in a resort community as luxe as Telluride. Service at restaurants in resort towns generally leaves something to be desired, and Floradora is no exception. In a stunning case of "the customer is always wrong," our server described the evening's halibut special as accompanied by a sweet potato hash. I was puzzled when the plate arrived with what obviously appreared to be mashed potatoes, only to be told that "some sweet potatoes are white." Apparently these special high-altitude white sweet potatoes taste just like, um, potatoes. A dining companion ordered a burger medium rare, and when it showed up cooked beyond well, the waitress insisted that it was cooked only medium. After some prodding, an offer was extended to remake the burger according to the desired temperature. Fifteen minutes later (after everyone else had finished their meals) a replacement burger showed up, still tragically overdone but this time accompanied by some flaccid, chilly french fries that had clearly been sitting on the plate waiting for a new burger. Sadly, with this most recent experience, the short list of decent places to eat in Telluride has just gotten even shorter.

Buyer Beware. This is a serious tourist trap with high prices and less than average food. Wow..where to start? First, everything I had researched said that this was the place in Telluride for Sunday brunch and bloody mary's. I beg your pardon? cough. The bloody's had a good flavor but lacked any substance of well, alcohol! Just THE most important ingredient in a cocktail. There must had been exactly 1 shot per pint glass. If that? I watched other tables order their bloodys with an extra sidecar (shot) of vodka. For a $7 drink? Shamefully taking advantage of tourist who the Owners do not count on to go back for repeat business. The waitress also told us that the kitchen was not willing to make any substitutions and that they were not the most agreeable crew and that she would have to go back there and work her magic to get them to sub avocado in place of the mozerella on a eggs benedict. Yes, this really did happen. This food establishment also did not carry brown mustard or anything to subsitute plain yellow mustard for their burgers and sandwiches. We got a brie burger and chose to sub grilled chicken for the beef patty, an extra $2 dollars. The chicken burger came out in a microwaved bun and the $3 extra for fries was a very small portion for the $. All in the all the microwaved sandwich was a whooping $18 dollars! The atmosphere was not very hospitable and there was no wi-fi. There was a half full cup of jam with a spoon on the table, uncovered that looked like it was leftover from the table before. That was the presentation that you were greeted with when sitting down. Jam dumped into a regular cup. All toast and fries do not come with the entree and were extras to keep padding the bill. My advice is to not get suckered into this place. The salads looked promising but that was about it. I had a great breakfast at La Cocina de Luz. Go there instead.

Everyone in my group (of four) seemed to love this place. I thought it was just okay. The bread on the burger I ordered (mushroom bacon swiss) was great, but the burger seemed dry even though it was ordered medium and was still pink in the center. The fries (which have to be ordered separately from the burger) were good. It is an okay place...service wasn't great, but not terrible either. But everyone else in my group seemed impressed with the food.

Floradora Saloon was originally plan b for my group of four, but I am so glad that plan a fell through! The atmosphere was casual and comfortable and the service was very friendly. Our orders were accurate and the food and drinks came out in a timely manner. The food was by FAR the best part of the experience - our group ordered the Blackened Chicken sandwich, the BBB burger, the Big Bad Wolf burger and the tomato soup and house salad, and two orders of fries. I tasted everyone's plates and every single thing was mouth-watering delicious. Everything is the restaurant is made in house, including the pickles, coleslaw, and ice cream - the freshness and originality of the ingredients really make this place stand out. We topped it off with chocolate rum cake and peach pie, which was a perfect ending. I will come here every single time I visit Telluride. Hats of to the chef!

Stopped by for dinner yesterday. Food was good. We only had the basic burger, but everything that came out of the kitchen looked great. Great prices (low for Telluride) and service was good. Enjoyed it.

We visited the Floradora Saloon based on Yelp's reviews and were not disappointed. I ordered the Reuben and my wife ordered the Chimichurri Chicken. I loved my sandwich (and I know Reuben sandwiches). My wife loved her chicken. The space is Victorian and very nice. The service was A-1. No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Nice option in the middle of Telluride. Here you'll find a menu largely composed of hamburgers and cheese burgers, and veggie burgers and bacon burgers. So if you don't want a burger, stay away. I, unfortunately, did not know this, and did not want a burger. So, I made do with an improvised order of appetizers (duck quesadilla; very good), soup (french onion, with duck; very good, but what's with all the duck?), and sliders (nice, mini burgers, so easier for me to handle). The bartender was very gracious and friendly and helpful, so gold stars on the service. The other patrons at the bar were super friendly as well, so if you're looking to gab it up with some strangers, here's a good place to do so.

Great food, especially love their brunch. Also of note are their homemade infused vodka and tequila, very good.

I was impressed. Big time! The place makes you feel at home. They were very accommodating for a party of 7. I had a Bloody Mary that was quite impressive. Hand pressed horseradish vodka. Yum yum yum! I had the Brie Burger. Man was it quite nice. Cooked to perfection with nice toppings. This place would have gotten 5 stars if the wait staff was more attentive. We only saw our waitress a few times. Also, it would have been nice if we were told there was a automatic 20% gratuity on our bill. We were about to give a double tip till someone at the table read the fine print. sneaky waitress.

The pork green chili soup was the single best thing I ate while in Telluride for vacation. I usually try to eat somewhere different each night while out of town, but Floradora was worth going back to. A lunch later in the week was just as tasty. Killer sweet potatoe chips with a very tasty grilled chicken sandwich. Servers both meals were wonderful. Prices were pretty good too given how expensive things in Telluride can be. If I ever get back to Telluride, I'd make a point of having lunch and/or dinner again at Floradora.

My boyfriend visited the Floradora one afternoon while I was skiing, and when we met up later ALL he could talk about was how awesome it was. We decided to meet some friends there for dinner later that night. The drinks are poured well here, and their menu is stellar eclectic. We shared BLT lettuce wraps (butter lettuce, bacon, tomato, avocado and pesto mayo), mac and cheese and the biggest mozzarella sticks I've ever seen for appetizers. My boyfriend and I each had the duck confit french onion soup, which was a great twist on an old classic...very interesting flavor. Sliders and a vegetarian dish also came to our table, and both looked fantastic. The menu also included a variety of entrees (like lamb curry and surf-n-turf), salads and burgers. We also saw a brick of brie (no shit...it was huge) covered in some sort of carmelized sauce and pecans go to the table next to us, but we were all so full that we decided against expanding our ever-growing bill. For 6 adults, including 3-4 drinks a piece, the bill came to right around $200. Not bad. This place was definitely a local secret. My only complaint was that our server kinda sucked...he was so-so but not great. But for some reason I get the impression that average service is not the norm here - I expected much better. We went back two days later on Sunday for a beer. We sat at the bar and had some local brewskies and shared a basket of steamers in a cajun broth. Very tasty, and the bartender was fantastic.

On a girl's vacation snowboarding, the 4 of us were starving. Went out a little late for dinner, but hey, it's vacation. The door to the saloon said "closed" but it was unlocked. Opened it and inquired about dinner. Our server checked with chef, he said he'd be happy to keep the fryers on. We wanted crab legs. Chef agreed. Who would of thought we would have some of the best crabs legs, EVER, in the middle of the mountains. They stayed open for us, had amazing crab legs, the service was fantastic and the drinks were perfect. We were soooooo impressed, we came back with another person the next night and ate 6 lbs of crab legs between the 5 of us. Yum yum yum! And the price was totally normal for crab! No rip off here.

I stopped in to the Floradora after making the 24 hour drive from Indiana to Telluride not sure what to expect being half delirious from a complete lack of sleep. The ambiance was cool but I prefer to let the food and staff speak for an establishment eschewing aestechics. The first thing I noticed was the diversity of the menu something I wasn't expecting out of a saloon. I had the BBB Burger which was blackenedand was happy to see that they let you choose the temperature my burger was cooked to which is such an uncommon thing this day in age of fear of pink meat. The ingredients were fresh and delcious and since their ingredients are local and organic I had no problem paying $10 for a burger. If I am ever in Telluride again this will probably be my one and only stop for good food and drink.

Always a restaurant we go to when we're in town. The best thing to get is anything with duck. They seem to specialize in creating meals with duck, whether its a duck salad, duck quesadilla, or duck onion soup. You can't go wrong with any of these items. For the first time one of our party had a french dip sandwich. The meat was overdone and fatty, but the bread was a very nice ciabatta roll. Don't get this. The duck quesadilla was wonderful. A moderate money choice.

Great food! Had the BBQ chicken quesadilla, western burger (wasn't on the menu tonight buy they made it for me anyways) aloha chicken sand... French fries were amazing! They also have steaks & seafood.... Sidewalk seating is perfect for people watching & enjoying the beauty of Telluride :). We will definitely go back!

Here is a simple hint when you are travelling: find some locals and tell them what you feel like eating and ask them where they would go. Literally EVERY local recommended floradora for burgers. We had asian lettuce wraps with duck to start and the app easily fed two. Their apps are HUGE. The burgers are great and the bread for the burgers is sofa king awesome. The prices are fair and the staff is really nice. They also do flights of whiskey at all different price levels which is a really unique way to try different styles of whiskey. Also, we heard from the locals that there is a secret bar menu that you can get only at the bar that includes fish tacos and burgers both for less than $5 each! This is an awesome little spot in the center of telluride that we will definitely return to.

The most friendly and attentive staff in all of Telluride. Great soups and beers on tap. Finally a meal with normal prices! Not like was cheep, but well worth what they were charging (cant say that for lots of places in this town). The line for a table can be long at lunch, so come early. But in my opinion it is well worth the wait.

Amazing service all around...Bloody Mary, pulled organic chicken with Munster and duck French onion all great! Not to mention all of the above for under $20....then bartender Roby gave me a complimentary "face bomb" TBC Face Down Brown with a shot of Jameson - Root Beer liquor - great combo All around highly recommended for the booze, food and nice staff

Telluride seems to lack a bit in the breakfast scene, but we went to brunch at Floradora at the suggestion of some locals. We arrived right at 10:00 am, with several other people, awaiting the opening. We sat at the bar. Molly, our bartender, served about 2000 bloody marys and 1000 mimosas while we were there (yep, we consumed some of them). She was efficient, friendly, and fun. The food is amazing. I had the chicken fried chicken with biscuits and gravy. The portion sizes are reasonable, which I appreciate. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The crispy-tender breast was laid upon a fluffy biscuit and lightly covered with a delicious gravy. The potatoes had a nice spice to them (paprika!). Great breakfast!

We arrived in Telluride hungry for lunch.I have some friends who recommended Floradora and it coincided with good Yelp reviews so that's usually a recipe for success. We had outdoor patio seats with a perfect scenic view on a perfect weather day in late summer. Top it off with good food and service and we were happy to be here. I ordered the Spicy Pastrami Reuben because it sounded so intriguing. I love classic and authentic east coast Reubens and rarely ever opt for a Reuben with a twist but I simply could not resist this time. It was definitely worth it. It's good they put it on a classy fresh rye bread though because I don't think you can mess with that and get away with it. But they used good quality pastrami, gruyere cheese and a lightly habanero altered 1000 dressing. And traditional coleslaw. I can't believe how well it worked. My husband had the lamb burger with a mint chimichurri and house made sweet potato fries. And I ate half his fries, while saying this will be the last one I take, each time. No room for dessert. Good service and fair prices for the food and location.

That may just have been the very best sandwich that I had in my whole life. I had "The Boy": turkey, bacon, pepper jack cheese, butter lettuce, basil, tomatoes, and avocado on house made ciabatta bread. Each half was almost too big to hold on to (but I managed!). The fillings were fresh and real and wonderful on their own, but the combination was heavenly. It was served with a choice of french fries, sweet potato chips, or cole slaw. I had the fries and they were thin and crisp and perfect. Absolutely wonderful lunch!

Had the pho ramen based on a suggestion from our server. It was good, not great. My boyfriend's philly cheese steak was disappointing. Saving grace- the fries. Super thin and tasty.

First time in Telluride so I tried as many places as possible. Nice little spot located on main street. Never went inside but ate out on the patio. The patio is smallish and they crowd in there but it is worth it (people watching... beautiful scenery). Ordered the spicy pastrami Ruben with house fries. Pastrami was done locally and you could tell. Very tasty, lean and had some texture. Not sure what the "spicy" was (couldn't really taste it) but overall the sandwich was very good. Fries were little soggy and disappointing. Price was fairly inexpensive (especially for Telluride). Service was just ok. We went at about 9pm on Sunday of the Bluegrass Festival and I think the wait staff was burnt out. Everybody was super friendly. Highly recommend.

Just a great casual place on the main drag of Telluride to enjoy great drinks and food and a flight of whiskey if you like. The service is excellent and very friendly. The food choices at our table (Steelhead Trout and Shepherds Pie) were spectacular. You can tell this is a place that is loved by its ownership - great vibe !!!

This is the second time we have been to Floradora, was so good the first time, we had to make sure we came back. The owner, Flora, lovely lady. She makes homemade jams and jellies, which we always get a container of jam to take back home to Arizona. Food is always very tasty and the service is great. Let's not forget to mention how awesome the horseradish bloody mary was probably the best i've ever had. We were so fun by the time we finished our lunch but Flora, the sweet lady that she is talked us into dessert, homemade pie, don't remember the name of it but it was large, it was a pumpkin cheese cake with whipped cream and toasted cinnamon nuts crumble on top. Looking forward to the next time we can visit Floradora, craving a horseradish boodmary!

I decided on getting the floradora cheese steak. Sandwich had alot of peppers and small amounts of cheese and steak on a very small bun. Not worth the price. They were also out of 2 draft beers that I ordered and it took the waiter a trip to the bar and back each time to tell me. Go here if everywhere else is busy.

Great lunch spot in Telluride. The meals were unique and tasted great. Tons of different types of whiskey and tequila. I had the Jalapeno Popper Burger and it was just like it sound a burger patty and Jalapeno Poppers on top. We also had a Tequila flight it was awesome. I highly recommend this place to anyone who visits the beautiful town of Telluride.

We had a terrific lunch here during the Film Festival, and it was as good as the dinner we had a few years ago. Great burgers from local Ridgway beef, excellent house salad and sweet potato chips that were actually crisp and flavorful, not the mushy mess they usually are. The food tastes like they put effort into everything, even the house salad, so often a heap of cheap greens, especially at bars. Service was efficient and courteous; when my husband had to wait for his draft beer because they had to open a new keg, the server brought him the last half glass of the old keg on the house, just to keep him happy until he got his glass from the new keg. Nice gesture, generous and classy, don't see it too often.

It took 45 minutes to get our order for 3 salads, due to "a shift change" according to our waitress. We cancelled the order and then of course the salads were ready. We informed our server that we did not want them. She understood but after checking with the owner could only offer 1/2 off the bill and three to go boxes for our unwanted salads. The "owner" should have presented this option in person along with an apology.

Duck egg rolls: spectacular. Love the mango spicy sauce it comes with Mac n cheese burger: fried mac & cheese is good enuf on its own! Bacon wrapped jalepeno popper burger: spicy & delish Highly rec sweet potato fries. Reminds me of the ones down south Washed it down w/Smuggler's winter ale $15 for inventive delicious perfectly made burger: worth it I would def go back. It was affordable & good!

We've eaten here 3x in as many days and every meal we've had has been off the chain. The burgers are what they're known for and you won't be disappointed. The Griddler (two pieces of French toast stuffed with maple bacon sausage, eggs, and cheese grits)- holy fuck it's orgasmic. The fried fish tacos are also solid and impressive for a non-beachy destination.

The food here is good and we had a wonderful server, but I was deeply disappointed in the way the restaurant was run. Our server was clearly overwhelmed and the other waiters and the management just ignored her issues. In fact, the manager (or owner) stood around chatting at a table behind ours today for at least 15 as we waited for someone to charge our cards for the bill. Was he too good to help his servers. That's a piss poor management style and I won't return

The BF and I were looking for a great place for lunch in Telluride. In between, when I become a gazillionaire I'm going to own a compound here. It's completely breathtaking. He was craving a burger so I brought out my trusty Yelp app and found Floradora and it looked great. The place is perfect, you can tell a lot of regulars come here. They have a few tables out front that were all occupied so we opted for the table by the window for a view of the street and mountains, close enough. Menu is half burgers and contrary to what you may think, pretty unique and tasty sounding burgers too. The BF opted for the Floradora Burger with roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, white cheddar, and a chipotle aioli served on ciabatta bread. I opted for the Atomic Chicken Finger Salad with crumpled blue cheese, bacon bits, butter lettuce hearts and a garlic ranch dressing. Both were very tasty and after being on the road for several hours both of them really hit the spot. The BF and I like to share so we got to sample each others items. The burger was messy but oh so fresh. The roasted red peppers were my favorite along with the fresh and toasted ciabatta bread. The burger came with sweet potato chips and they were outstanding. I may be addicted. The salad was crisp and satisfied a need for some lighter fare, granted it was covered in a cream dressing but you all know what I mean. I was hoping for some more spiciness with the chicken but it was more sweet than spicy. The blue cheese gave an added flavor as well as the garlic ranch dressing. Service was good and food is solid. I would definitely come back and get another burger or enjoy their pretty large breakfast menu.

I'm going with 5 on this one for lots of reasons but it's based in summer brunch only. So let's do this: 1) Outdoor seating on the main drag 2) Waitress was beyond rad. Did catch her name but black hair think she was originally from Georgia maybe. Anyway, Happy, enjoyable and on top of her game! 3) my honey likes eggs . I do not. This place made us both happy. New and fun eggs dishes for him. Amazing lunch options and killer french toast for me! 4) price was great for the quality and size of food in my opinion but I do live in Vegas and pay $5 for casino coffee. Entrees here were like $12. Example: french toast with saguaro or bacon and a bowl of grits= $12. Carbs on carbs are amazing btw! 5) awesome infused vodkas house made and used in there bloody Mary's and other cocktails. Gotta support that!

The food here is just so good. Started with a duck egg roll and it was absolutely divine. Then I had a maple duck breast salad and it was THE BEST SALAD I'VE EVER HAD. Seriously, I didn't know salad could be so good. It was totally worth $14.

Generous salads, soups and outdoor seating with mountain views to die for. Drinks meet saloon standards and some. I'd say lunch is hit and miss with an aggressive menu that delivers now and then. Compared to other offerings in town it gets 4 star but as a stand alone is say 3 star.

Went there today with 6 people. We have been there many times before. Today was the worse meal have eaten there. 5 hamburgers were ordered and 4 were either overlooks (burnt) and two were undercooked. One was a Mac and cheese burger. Came to table no Mac and cheese. Was told they were out of item so instead of telling us that just brought it out without saying a word hoping wouldn't notice . The Rubin sandwich had very little meat. Asked for some BBQ sauce and ranch dressing for burger charged $1 for each didn't tell us just added on bill. When complained to owner said the bill was already been rung up so can't credit us. Customer service and waiter sucked

Love the rustic decorating this place has and I definitely think the atmosphere is decent. The food looked better than it went down...my chicken salad sandwich looked great on the plate, but it was heavy on the mayo and it sort of overwhelmed it. My friends and I agreed that Floradora has great potential, but maybe are spoiled due to the lack of options for people in town. I didn't try too many places in town, but if you have only one stop, maybe try something different. That said we did like the booze options and still enjoyed the vibe.

Sat outside for lunch after a long morning hike. Bloody Mary was amazing as was the special Floradora Mimosa. Had the fried pickles and Fish Tacos which were great. Good service too!

Out first night in Telluride we stopped in here for dinner. We had burgers and they were really good. The waiter was attentive. We were pleased.

What a great recommendation! Glad we went for late lunch/afternoon drinks while strolling around Telluride. The menu was eclectic and not what I thought we would find in a "saloon". The service was so friendly, drinks strong and delicious food.

iThis food is consistently delicious! We like to come here for Sunday brunch. The eggs Benedict is seriously amazing.

The only reason I am not giving them a 5 is because we had a terrible waitress. She couldn't care less about her job or our experience. But the food was awesome! I was super impressed with the veggie burger-- so creative in presentation and loaded with lots of veggies. I also enjoyed the butternut squash soup, and my bf loved his burger. Good, creative food.

Better than average bar food... we had their version of jalapino poppers, burgers, and a couple of drinks... the server was helpful as well...

We stopped in here for our second dinner of the night. Yes, you read that correctly. I really wanted to try the black bean floradora burger but since we were sharing and my husband typically eschews vegetarian picks, we opted for a burger. Again, I wanted to try the Floradora burger, but we ended up with Josh's Brie Burger instead. It was cooked nicely and had a good flavor- it would have benefited from a couple jalapenos or something spicy to jazz it up. But otherwise, it was a solid burger and I'd go and have one there again for sure. The fries were good- finally! And I had a jalapeno margarita that was delicious! I could have eaten a few more of those. We sat at the bar and had a great time talking to the bartender (Geneva) and the others- all locals. They had some great tips and were so friendly. Love this town. FYI- Geneva makes an amazing strawberry mojito if you're in the mood!

We loved this place. Great atmosphere. Funky. Cool. Lots of homebaked art on the walls. I had the seared tuna salad. It was fresh and wonderful. Hubby had an awesome cheeseburger. One of the BEST burgers EVAH! The bun was so good! Crispy on the outside (sort of like Cuban bread) and soft on the inside. Just really good. Nice servers too. All good.

It's a hokey old west place. We went in to have a meal, ended up leaving after apps because the service was so slow. The waiter was very nice, just not much of a multi tasker. Mozzarella sticks were mediocre. Jalapeño poppers were pretty good.

Hubby and I are on our honeymoon here in telluride. We had just got into town and wanted to grab a good lunch. I was very impressed with the menu especially for it being just a hometown saloon. I had the Conlin burger with green chilies and my husband had one of the specials; a duck sandwich with pesto. Very tastey! Apparently the chef was trained in France and loves to use duck. There were a few other odd balls on the menu that looked intriguing. Only a few beers in draft but those were also tasty. Would definitely go back!

I was in Telluride for the Ride festival and stopped into here for a bite to eat. The staff was super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were made right too. Really, if you're in Telluride for any reason whether it's a music festival or skiing, come here and support these awesome people.

Old bar/restaurant, the location dates back about 150 years. Staff are wonderful and very friendly. Charlie the manager is an excellent host and entertaining, we spent a good while chatting. Food was top notch - baked brie; duck tacos (yow!); mac n cheese. We picked Floradora through YELP, the average rating was pretty spot on! Worth a return visit!

Let me start off by saying, I'm a huge fan of pulled pork sandwiches. If a pulled pork sandwich is on the menu, most likely that's what I'm getting. Well I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was one of the worst I've ever had. The pulled pork was fatty and the bottom of the bun was soggy. My wife had the homemade chicken noodle soup, which had over cooked pasta and was a bit too salty. Aside from the not so stellar food the saloon had a cool vibe and you can't beat the view from the window seat, and for that reason alone I give it two stars.

A great burger and fries in a old-school saloon amidst the ritzy glitz of Malibu of the Mountains, as I consider Telluride. The food and atmosphere are 4 star; the star rating goes down to 3 because the kitchen is unable to keep up with the lunch rush and the food-wait was a bit ridiculous. They need Gordan Ramsey of Kitchen Nightmares to give them advice on how to avoid the lunch-slam, a daily occurrence, according to our harried waitress. Go during the off-hours.

This was the only eating and drinking joint in Telluride that greeted with a smile and had great service and decent food. You people have it going on even if your entire town has been spoiled with non stop festival and ski traffic!

This place isn't very big so there is a chance you will be waiting for a seat. We got lucky with some spots at the bar so dinner came sooner than we expected. I didn't know they were known for burgers so i want with the 1/2 chicken but that is what i was in the mood for but i was also very hungry. The chicken was seasoned right and juicy so i'm not sure what else you could ask for. I was very happy with it in the end. Service was okay... it took a while for the bartender to warm up to us for one reason or another but, in the end, everything was good and that's all that matters.

Wife and I were celebrating our Anniversary in Telluride and decided to try the Floradora Saloon after we had a terrible restaurant experience the previous night in the Mountain Village. The Floradora Saloon definitely hit the local spot right with an amazing drink selection, burgers were on point, and the staff was awesome

Went for lunch. Great burger and fries. Had the fish tacos. They were good but I didn't catch on that wonton wrappers as shells meant Asian flavored tacos. Disappointed, but they were still good, just different than what I wanted. Great service. Great spicy Bloody Mary.

Decent food. Poor service. Probably wouldn't come back. There was an hour or more wait at all other restaurants tonight so we dropped in and were seated right away. Had to ask for drink refills every time and flag waiter down to order. Didn't see waiter again until we flagged him down to ask for the check.

This place gets 3 stars. This is my second time visiting Telluride and my second time eating here. The food was ok. The bloody Mary's are awesome but it smelled of vinegar and urine when we walked in with a hint of stale beer. The worst part of all was jalapeño poppers had all the seeds still inside so when we all bit into them we were thrust into a whirlwind of sweating, drooling, almost vomiting, and the pain of a thousand burning suns. These were definitely inedible. 3 stars for almost causing permanent esophageal damage.

Ate there twice while in town. The people were great. Staff was attentive and very hospitable. The owner was there and greeting and checking to make sure everything was up to par. I had lobster blt for lunch the first visit and chicken fried chicken for breakfast. They had real HOME MADE preserves on every table. Tried them on my perfectly toasted biscuit...mmmmmmm. the sausage gravy was good...not too salty and not too floury. Sandwich the first day came with freshly made sweet potato chips. Portion was big enough for lunch and late afternoon snak. Highly recommended for great food and fun atmosphere.

Not great food but not a bad dining experience. My duck grilled cheese came out kinda cold. My two friends got the special pulled pork sandwitch which they also said was only halfway heated. We were eating at 2pm so maybe it was all prepared for earlier diners and just re-heated for us. Overall not amazing food. Our server however was very sweet and helpful and the place has a cute ambiance, plays good music, and has a good beer selection.

Great casual spot (lots of children)! This place was recommended by pretty much everyone. The atmosphere is very casual and fun. Really chill. The service was very friendly as well, and it was nice that we were tucked into a booth with a lot of privacy. The food was pretty great - I had duck tacos and they were good. Others seemed to enjoy their meal more than i did. the chicken burger also went over really well.

The butternut squash curry is absolutely amazing. The butternut squash fries and chimchurri appetizer is heavenly. I could not find anything wrong with the food. Amazing atmosphere, our waitress Courtney was such a sweetheart and helped us with our order. Such a great telluride restaurant. Will DEFINITELY be back.

Food is not very good. And super overpriced. Service is great and manager is really nice. If you are a tourist, with a lot of screaming children and ok with paying 15 dollars for a subpar burger, this is your spot.

Terrible service, mediocre food. It took way to long to get our order taken. When we had our food brought to our table, it was mostly wrong. Our 4 yr old ordered grilled cheese and she was given an adult soup and ham sandwich. We ordered a basic burger (medium) with cheese with a side of fries. We received it burned with sweet potatoes chips instead. When we told the older lady we were about to leave when it took another ten minutes to get our child's correct order of grilled cheese, she was highly irritated at us for complaining and was very rude in return. Then when we got the bill, while they did take off $7 (kids meal was $8), the bill was still incorrect. It showed that we ordered hot tea (we did not). We will not be back. We will stick to our favorites (Brown Dog and 221 South Oak Bistro).

I really want to love Floradora, as I've been coming here since I was a kid. And when I was a kid, the place was wonderful. Unfortunately times change, and so has the Floradora. The ever-changing menu makes it hard to adopt a "favorite", however the website says "if you want something from days old, just ask!" So I ask. Green chili smothered fries...truly a great thing. "Cook is in bad mood and won't do it" is the answer. Charlie, the owner comes out to say "Hi!" and "where are you guys from?" Now, ordinarily I'd say that's nice, except I've been there 30 times in 3 years. And conversed with old Charlie dozen and dozens of times. So I question...do they really care? I guess I don't anymore. I've enjoyed the mediocre food for the last time.

Had a great time with great food!!! Loved sitting outside and enjoying the views. Perfect day! The lovely owner sent my girlfriend home with a piece of their famous cake with a birthday candle when he heard we were celebrating my 50. Such a nice surprise, thank you!!!! See you next time in town.

Floradora is definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Telluride. It's not very fancy but the food is good and affordable. The last time I ate there was a few days ago and I've got to say it was one of my favorites! I've had sandwiches and breakfast dishes here before, but this time I got a duck quesadilla...Holy cow! It had to be one of the most tasty quesadillas I have EVER had! And it was only $10! There has not been a time where I've visited Telluride and not gone to Floradora and I don't plan on that changing!

I'm a regular visitor to Floradora and have nothing but great things to say. If you can snag a patio table on a sunny day, you're in for a treat. Whether I'm in the mood to keep it healthy or indulge, Floradora always has plenty of options for me. Their burger and fries are always a winner (the BBB burger is my favorite), all the salads are awesome, and I'm a huge fan of the butternut squash curry lettuce wraps w/ shrimp. My husband always has to order the jalapeño poppers as a starter. I have had a few instances where service was less than perfect, but they have always been on incredibly busy days (like brunch on the Sunday of Bluegrass), so I've never held it against them.

I had the MOST incredible (and very large) hamburger here. It had pastrami (homemade?) and also cole slaw (but not your standard stuff-- This was really zippy stuff). There was also some kind of special sauce. Amazing. The rest of my family had some great burgers as well. Not cheap, mind you...

In Telluride...where to eat? The locals recommended The Floradora Saloon for the menu, comfortable atmosphere, and the whiskey! Flora herself seated us! We started with the Poppers...delish! It was a rainy afternoon so I went for comfort food, the Shepard's Pie! Oh my! It was quite good and my friends enjoyed their burgers. They don't take reservations, just drop in and enjoy!

Seriously awesome combo of local vibe and foodie-food. Fantastic service by the bartender, Sam, who easily served the entire restaurant while helping us navigate the bar menu...local drafts...as well as the extensive menu...yum. Squash fries, duck egg rolls, and bacon-wrapped jalapeño peppers were all delish.

Stopped here on our way through Telluride for lunch. Burgers and sandwiches were good, but not anything to write home about. The kid's chicken tenders were tender enough inside, but hard and burnt looking outside. I enjoyed the curried squash soup and my husband particularly liked the BLT--excellent bacon. A bit expensive, but not surprising in Telluride.

Good place. Diverse menu good drinks. If you like duck get something duck. If you've never had duck it's ok and worth a try. Service was attentive, quick and pleasant. Burgers are what I think they're known for and do best. The atomic salad looked awesome and probably the best choice if you don't want a burger. We came for lunch so I don't know what it's like for dinner. Nice place and locals seem to dig it !

We had a bad experience on July 5th. It began when we were asked if we would like our check and hadn't even been served any food. When our food finally arrived, only 3 of the 4 were served. The hot food came out and 10 minutes later came the Flank Steak Salad which came with cold steak and plenty of unattractive fat. Second time here and will try somewhere else next time . The burgers were ordered medium yet came out rare .

All of the food was great except for the children's meal. The portion and quality for the price was terrible. When we asked the waiter to bring out maybe some more fries for her to eat, he brought out a plate with maybe 10 fries on it. Not to mention the kids meal doesn't include a drink (like every other restaurant I've eaten at throughout my whole life), and they don't even say anything about how it doesn't include it. The kids drinks are $3.00 by the way. Despite these very large drawbacks, the adult meals we ordered were fantastic.

Good stuff jalapeno's, Good service, Good Food, We had coffee and jalapenos, not sure how those go together but I'm always game for a stuffed pepper and these didn't disappoint. I think I also has a Jalapeno infused vodka while I was there. I remember thinking it wasn't all that, but it was SPICY and I never complain about spicy.

I went craving the duck salad for dinner after reading the yelp reviews and seeing pictures of the salad. Upon arrival, there was no duck salad offered on the menu or as a special. I was sadly disappointed so choose the duck quesadillas instead. It was okay but not great. Several Yelpers mentioned the portion size and yes I agree, they are very generous on their portions. We started with the deep fried pickles and the bacon wrapped jalapeños - both were excellent. For our main meal we had the flora dora burger, fish tacos and duck quesadillas, split 4 ways. All were good but not served very warm. Our server Courtney was very nice but perhaps quite busy as service was not spot on. I would go back and give it another try as their menu is interesting, not just the average burger and fries. Everything has a nice twist and seems to be made in house which is a plus to me.

This place was nice. The ambiance is nice in there, and the paper tablecloths with crayons provided is always fun (although, had I gone in there with the most immature of my friends, it could have resulted in some kid-unfriendly phallic diagrams). I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, since I hadn't had a pulled pork sandwich in all of six days, and the Weinhard Root Beer. Not as cool as having root beer on tap, but definitely a step above having Pepsi/Coke brand root beers. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty lame. The prickly pear bbq sauce tasted more like tomato than prickly pear (I'm from Arizona; there are prickly pears growing next to my house. I have prickly pear syrup at my house. You can't pull one over on me like that!), and I really feel like the gargantuon onion ring they put on the sandwich exists for no other reason than to distract you from the fact that there's not very much pulled pork on there. By all means, stop in. Just try something other than the pulled pork sandwich.

Blech. Way overpriced, sub par food. $15 for the most mediocre burger, soggy fries, and bland drinks I've ever had. The only decent thing was the jalapeño poppers. Don't bother. Save your $70 for two and go elsewhere.

I am a 16 year Telluride local and the Floradora is one of our absolute favorites. In fact, we go there usually at least once a week. Whether it is dinner, lunch, or brunch on the weekend, Floradora seems to nail it every time. There are few restaurants I can think of where the owners and chef (a local family of father, mother, and son) take so much pride in what they do or care so much about their customers. Every sauce, salad dressing, pickle, and french fry is homemade with a lot of love, the service staff cares about their customers (even if they are slammed and too busy to dote on you), and the whole family seems to work their tails off to make sure that every customer has the best experience possible. This place is a Telluride classic and has some of the best and most homemade food in town!

  • Katelyn H.

Decent food. Poor service. Probably wouldn't come back. There was an hour or more wait at all other restaurants tonight so we dropped in and were seated right away. Had to ask for drink refills every time and flag waiter down to order. Didn't see waiter again until we flagged him down to ask for the check.

Went for lunch. Great burger and fries. Had the fish tacos. They were good but I didn't catch on that wonton wrappers as shells meant Asian flavored tacos. Disappointed, but they were still good, just different than what I wanted. Great service. Great spicy Bloody Mary.

Food subpar. Owner horrible. Owner Charlie needs to learn some manners. Server was wonderful! But would recommend another restaurant for sure.

Absolutely fantastic. Great burgers, fries, and sweet potato chips. 100% recommended. And they let you draw on the table.

What a great recommendation! Glad we went for late lunch/afternoon drinks while strolling around Telluride. The menu was eclectic and not what I thought we would find in a "saloon". The service was so friendly, drinks strong and delicious food.
