In for the week and always looking to try the local fare. J J Chinese is a very unimposing corner in the shopping center. However, always seems to be busy and yelpers seem to like it . I gotta say the Pad Thai was excellent and the Pu Pu Platter is kind of a sampler with a couple of each item, ribs spring rolls , crab cakes, etc . Good choice .

They also serve Thai food! Not excellent but pretty darn good and satisfying.

Had mixed veggies and sesame chicken. The sauce on the veggies was really funky and the chicken was really tough and hard to chew. We will definitely not return.

What a pleasant surprise to find such good Chinese food in the mountains. Being Asian, I eat at a number of Chinese and Japanese restaurants both in Denver and in the ski areas. The lunch buffet has to be the best food for the price which is incredibly inexpensive. I must confess that what I get is limited and they are so well prepared that I am full before getting to the wide variety of other dishes. Egg drop soup, edamame, fried rice, pot stickers, salt and pepper shrimp, and fish and I'm done. I told the manager he needed to raise the price of the buffet ($8.50).

Atmosphere friendly. Food was pretty good. Be aware that ordering low spicy is advised. Medium too much. Burned my nostrils and throat. Got the Seafood Pad Thai.

Decent Thai food and they deliver! Lots of veggies in the dishes. Delivery might take a few minutes longer than expected, but the service is consistent.

Ok so its not authentic Chinese food and having grown up around San Francisco I do love really good Chinese ...but the food is tasty, cheap and perfect after a night ski session with my 6 year old before heading back on the road. Some hot tea, cheap Chinese and he's very happy and ready for the drive back :) Its kind of a tradition at this point and did I mention cheap? :)

Chose this place from the Yelp reviews and were thoroughly satisfied. We will definitely eat here next time we're in Silverthorne. The ribs and chicken satay were great. Also recommend the pad Thai.

I thought this place was very tasty. I had the sesame shrimp and a tasty spring roll and it was done perfectly. The lo mein was also good, and I looked forward to having it the next day. Worth a long drive to get to it!

I'm sorry, I'm Chinese, and this is just terrible Chinese food. The owners aren't Chinese, which would be okay if they were knowledgable about the cuisine, but they are clearly catering to the non-Chinese crowd. If you are looking for authenticity, this is not the place for you.

I thought this was very good. I noticed some other people complained about authenticity [yet seemed to assume knowledge of all of Chinese cousine through genetic descent and limited introduction to such in America]. I've been to China and also to Thailand and Laos -- this place serves all three cuisine types, and I think the place really does a good job. Taste, nutrition, and value are the end measures. This is a quick and easy setting. I had beef lahb and chicken satays. The beef lahb was a huge pile of lean beef for a very good price. I've certainly had better in Laos itself, but I've also had worse in Laos; lahb is usually meant to be a healthy fill-up. And, in that respect, this was spot on in a town that usually grossly overcharges for tidbits. The chicken satays were a bit pricier, but they were done really well -- as good as I'd had anywhere in Thailand. Anyway, this a great apres ski budget fill-up with great foreign flavors that I never expected to encounter anywhere in this area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
