Dont be fooled by the sports bar label, the food here is awesome. We had a group of 30 for our motorcycle clubs rally dinner, and they rolled out the limo to pick us up at our hotel, then the prime rib and roasted turkey were awesome. They did a great job with the service for our large group and we will be coming back. Dont miss this place...

Food was stale and tasteless, and way overpriced. My wife's tacos completely fell apart because they were so dry. My hamburger bun was dry and fell apart too. Bletch. We told the manager about our dissatisfaction and he offered to take 5% off. Whoopee-doo. We told him we'd like him to take one of the meals off the bill, which he reluctantly did, but he was clearly unhappy about it. Hey, serve decent food at a fair price and this won't happen! Stay away from this place.

Pulled pork sandwich was excellent. Service was subpar. Waited 10 minutes for a Bud Lite only to find out they ran out. Got a Miller Lite instead. Lots of TVs for viewing which was nice. Like I said though, the Pulled pork sandwich was excellent. Worth stopping in just for that.

went in for a brew and a salad. The bartender was very helpful and nice. Had a decent selection of beers. Had a cup of the pablano soup and a turkey club salad. The salad was good but certainly was nothing more than a bar salad. The soup was very delicious. I was feeling a little too lazy to venture further than across the street and this place was pretty good

I ordered their Philly Cheese steak sandwich, and it had a chunk of plastic about the size of a quarter in it that I bit into. I was pretty disgusted. I have never complained about any restaurant before, but I will not go back to Wallbangers again.

Loud, but that is to be expected in a sports bar. We have eaten here several times and our kids love to come here for the green chili. My husband loves to come to watch sports and I love the friendly staff. Our waitress is so calm and efficient. The young lady at the table beside us knocked over her glass of water and the waitress handled it with charm, quickly taking care of the mess. Food is good, but slow coming. Otherwise, great experience and one we regularly repeat.

So the OLD crowd ruins the energy. Why a sports bar pulls all the senior citizens, I'm not sure... but we hate the lack of atmosphere. The service still sucks. The big screens are good. If it weren't for sports being shown, we'd NEVER come here... even though the chili cheese fries still rock. But at $8.50 now, not sure they are very good value anymore.

For starts... They have 4 different new Belgium beers on tap... That alone gets them 2 stars. I started with a cup of green chili and it was okay... The best part was the tortilla that came with it. I then moved on to the pretzel bun sliders... DAMN, what a great combo. The meat was a lil dry, but what do you expect with a slider. The pretzel itself was perfect. Bartender was talkative and friendly. Place was nice and clean. Would come back again.

Been coming to Salida twice a month for over 2 years & finally decided to try this place. Nice atmosphere inside for a sports bar...big and spacious. Based on other reviews, decided to try the green chili. It is excellent with great flavor...prefer hotter, but I luv spicy! Very friendly staff! Suggestion...if in Salida check this place out.

I think this is probably the only sports bar in Salida. Big open bar with lots of flat panels and decent bar food. Service was friendly and attentive. Watched Peyton Manning throw his 51st touchdown this season here.

Spent the evening at Wallbangers two consecutive evenings. The owner picked us up at our hotel in a funky limo. Great good, wonderful service. The bartender, Pete was attentive but not pushy. Reasonable prices and good beer selection. Don't miss the place the next time you are in Salida.

I've been to Wallbangers a few times now, usually to watch a sporting event with my Love. We most recently stopped here to watch Monster's Energy Race (the $1 million dollar triple crown of moto/supercross, if you will), but that is another story. One thing I do love at a bar/restaurant is munchies...at Wallbangers, they have peanuts...not sure how good they are for me, but I do love a good nibble session with a nice cold icy drink. The food is decedent, but nothing I'd write home about. There is a plethora of televisions so you are hooked up pretty much from anywhere in the bar/restaurant. It's a great place to enjoy some food, drinks and company! I will definitely continue to frequent here. =)

Worst food and service in Salida. I'll never eat at this place again. Got raw chicken. Server was never around and really didn't seem to care about our table or the food. How can you mess up a simple salad??

A great stop if you're in Salida. They picked me up at my hotel and dropped my off when I'd had a good meal and some beers. I order the super hot chicken wings, and they weren't lying about the heat, so be warned. The chicken wings were very meaty with a good crunchy exterior-highly recommended. I ordered a basket of fries, but didn't have room to eat many of those, the wings just hit the stop. The wait service is fast and friendly. I had a good time chatting with the owner, he's showed great attention to his customers and enjoyed talking about sports. There is also a small arcade room with foosball and air hockey, so it looks like kids can play some games if you're watching a game. I'd definitely bring my family here. Friendly faces, good beer, and great food. No complaints.

We drove to Salida from Westcliffe to watch the CU/CSU football game. Not many restaurants in Salida seemed to have TV's and Wallbangers had great reviews, so we gave it a try. We are glad we did! The service was great and the food was too. My husband had the steak burrito which he said was tasty and I had the rib eye which was on special for $13.99. This was a good deal considering it was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. It came with two sides and a piece of garlic toast. Good selection for beers on tap. We will definitely return the next time we are in Salida.

Note: as of June 01, 2011 when my family ate here, this is now the "WallBangers Sports Bar and Grill. Very good, food quality, service, personal Colorado hospitality. The green chili is excellent. And the kids ( ages 10 and 6) loved the food and game room. We recommend the new place (open since Jan. 2011).
