What a good place to eat. The Firefly salad was so fresh I ate every tender chunk of chicken and scraped the plate for all the great mix of ingredients and dressing The burger and sweet potato fries were yummy and filling. Hope we get back to Salida soon to eat here again.

We have been to The Firefly several times for lunch and have enjoyed all of our meals. Everything is fresh and home-made. Yesterday, my husband had the Burger of the Day, like the previous reviewer. It had the Ghost Chili cheese and he had the French Fries. He LOVED his meal. I had the Buffalo Bleu Hoagie with Fries, and it was delicious. I also tried the Soup of the Day, which had Balsamic, Chipotle and Peach flavors in it. Yummy! You never know what the Chef is going to make for soup! We always are treated as good friends here and it is one of our favorite restaurants in the Salida/Poncha Springs area.

Wow! This quaint restaurant right off W Hwy 50 was absolutely delicious ! My husband had the New York Strip and I had the London Broil. Melt in your mouth! We would have easily paid $140 for a meal like that in Dallas, TX. , but our check was $40.46. What a value! The homemade bread was quite tasty as well.

Just had a wonderful meal - the restaurant is non-pretentious, quiet, and with great food. We were in town to ski and failed to get seated anywhere in town because we didn't think to make reservations. Based on the yelp rating we called the Firefly and were able to get a table - their usual clientele of locals had cleared out by 7pm, and we had the restaurant to ourselves. Everything we tried was wonderful, and we will absolutely be back.

Hubby and I came for lunch. We sat outside in the patio on a gorgeous summer day. Service was excellent. My hamburger was really delicious, not a premade flat as a pancake burger. They will even ask how you want it cooked. Hubby had the Asian hoagie and said it was great. I'd give them five stars but I'm going to be a little picky; my fries were a little greasy.

Another great local little gem. I ordered the Asian hoagie, which doesn't sound like anything I would ever order, but because of other reviews I got it. & it was AWESOME! So good & flavorful. A definite must in Salida!

This resturant was recommended to me by a couple I met while traveling and boy were they right. I had the Asian tacos but they were not just regular run of the mill tacos they were excellent. The tacos were made with ahi tuna and served with an apple slaw and a wonderful horseradish sauce that was to die for. It could have been made in any high end resturant. My hats off to the chef. The wait staff was friendly and the owner even came over to see how the meal was going but I could do was shake my head up and down because my mouth was full of goodness. I'm sure I had sauce dripping down my face but I didn't care because I was in tuna heaven. If you are any where near Salida, CO you need to go and experience some great food. They also have a nice patio if you want to dine outside. I will be back to see what the chef has in store.

This is a small unassuming little place off the Highway in Salida. I had their burger of the day. Incredible. Fresh homemade bun, with ghost chili cheese and served open face with a cream onion sauce. Like I said, unassuming yet incredible. Great for lunch and im sure just as good for dinner

Thanks Yelp for helping us find this gem! Passing through on the way to Telluride and needed a late lunch. The Asian Tacos were so unique and delicious, bravo. We all enjoyed our lunch on the patio. Friendly service, good food, and a causal atmosphere. Would recommend this place!

20 stars is not enough. Daily house made rolls and bread for their hoagies and burgers. Fresh salads and extremely creative daily soups - ie pear peach cilantro chipotle & squash with balsamic and cream base. To top it off - kind caring efficient high-standard service with a smile.

What? I gotta drag you down here and FORCE one of these delicious carnitas tacos down your miserable gullet? Come and support these hard-working ladies, enjoy a local beer and roll in the chile just to get the scent. Mumford and Sons are gonna fuck this place up, though, so get here before August.

Beautiful patio. Great service. Mostly salads and sandwich's for lunch. Fresh ingredients. Both the buffalo and Asian hoagies were really great. In talking with several locals they all raved about about Firefly as being their favorite place to eat in Salida.
