One of the best French Dips I've ever had! Great place if you're traveling through Ridgway towards Telluride or Ouray. It's the kind of place that you'd skip by, because it's in a shopping mall and isn't in the "cute part of downtown". But this is where the locals eat. Feels kinda like a sports bar w/ a restaurant section too. Good prices. Even the dressing for the salad was homemade. The au ju sauce was amazing...well worth it.

Really great food. We stopped as we traveled through Ridgway. Candice was our server. She was new but so attentive and sweet. We had pancakes and eggs. Very good.

Good, simple comfort food (breakfast) prepared perfectly. Best home-made hash browns. Omelets made by someone who knows how to make an omelet.

Great restaurant where the locals hang out. BEST biscuits and gravy ever. Not the traditional white gravy. So good we came back the next day to order it again. Very relaxed atmosphere and friendly people.

We had a great experience at the Cimarron Cafe while staying in Ridgway recently...The owner's mother was our server both times we've eaten there and she could not have been more kind to us! We first had breakfast burritos which were enormous, over-flowing with quality ingredients. The real highlight was during our lunchtime visit: the french dip, served with fresh cut french fries...It was extraordinarily delicious!! I am salivating just thinking about it. I was glad to have had the chance to tell the chef just how much we enjoyed it! They were so nice that they even offered to make another french dip for me for dinner even though it wasn't on the evening menu, when I (jokingly) expressed disappointment that I couldn't have it again for dinner. :) You can tell they really take pride and care in serving fresh and yummy food. I can't say enough about this place, or it's staff! I am really looking forward to our next visit! Thanks to the Cimarron Cafe crew!! :)

Was in town for a brief moment and needed something delicious. Cimarron Cafe was the closest with the best reviews and they are spot on! We had the breakfast burritos with hashbrowns, forget about it! SO good.

Cimarron Cafe is divided by a bar into a quiet dining room, and a casual room with huge TVs showing sports. The food is good. The best thing at Cimarron Cafe is Chris, the bartender. He mixes great drinks, knows about the food,& is a terrific conversationalist. The second time my husband & I came in he greeted us by our names & remembered our drink preferences. Wow.

If you remember anything about the Cimarron and only one thing, it'll be the portion sizes! HOLY MOLY! I ordered the breakfast burrito with breakfast potatoes and it was enough to fill me and my husband! It was so good, filled with plenty of cheese, mushrooms, sausage, and eggs- wrapped in a 12" tortilla. The coffee is hot and cream is on hand. There was only one waitress on staff for a Saturday morning early, but it wasn't packed by any means, so service was great. Sitting wherever in the dining room you're able to see and hear the locals talking about their recent hunts and ongoings in the area. Anyone's willing to strike up a conversation with you - the people are all so friendly!

Spent the evening in ridgeway and we had dinner and breakfast here. It's so worth the money! Good big portions and just amazing flavor in their dishes!

We stopped in here for breakfast, and it was great. My cutie asked what the waitress liked best, chicken fried steak and eggs, HUGE, and I got the two egg breakfast. Both were a huge amount of food. The chicken fried steak was really good, lots of flavor. The coffee was stronger than at Kate's Place, in fact the whole food experience was better. Kate's Place has nice ambiance, but the Cimarron Cafe is nice and had better food. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars was the coffee.

We really enjoyed this place, the staff was very friendly and the food was great. My husbands steak was cooked " rare" perfectly! I had the green chili burger, it was delicious, I loved the bun as well. Everything was fresh and seemed homemade.

The main chef has changed and the food we had last summer was sooooo much better. We visited three times and each meal was over salted by at least 30%. I was so looking forward to the biscuits and gravy. I can't even describe how good they were a year ago. I walked away very disappointed.

stopped in around 9am while I was in town.Service was friendly had a bloody mary which wasn't made by a bar tender since one wasn't working so a cook made the drink for me it was a basic at best tomato juice, worcestershire, salt/pepper, horseradish, with celery salt around the rim and olive/yellow pepper garnish it wasn't bad just not to my liking or worth the $7 Price tag. I ordered the breakfast burrito was great really nothing to complain about came with a green tortilla, great portion size hash browns cooked slightly crispy . My brother ordered Hash & eggs he ate the whole serving with a smile so I think it was to his liking. All in all I'd probably come back to see what else they make I can't say I was impressed but time will tell.

Awesome service and amazing food. The coconut shrimp was the best!, and the salmon and chicken scampi were truly outstanding (not to mention the carmelized spaghetti squash! YUM!). We were a party of 8, and both the kids and adults had a great night out.

Excellent restaurant, though a bit pricey, it's actually worth it. Beef stroganoff was excellent, as were the burgers and the prime rib. So far the best restaurant in the entire valley. We enjoyed the air conditioning too! Great place to fill up and cool off.

SOOOO delicious!!!! My husband and I just returned from a week-long stay in Ouray, and unfortunately, we didn't try Cimarron Cafe until our last full day in the area!! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with the onion rings and pepper sauce and my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Both of our sandwiches were DELICIOUS. The onion rings were honestly the best I've had in my life - the pepper sauce was an amazing addition, and I am salivating just thinking about it!!!!! The restaurant is divided into two sections - when you walk in the door, the section on the left is more of a 'sit-down, potentially romantic' location....and on the right, is a bar area with several big screen TVs. Don't get me wrong - it isn't your typical 'sports bar' at all - just an upscale restaurant where you can catch a game while you eat. DEFINITELY stop in if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!!!!

Stopped as driving by. Not expecting the the pleasant quality atmosphere that we found here. The food was more expensive than we had anticipated to feed the family. We stuck to the burger and salad menu. The dressing for my salad was homemade. The burgers were juicy and not overcooked. The food was delicious. If my husband and I were alone we would have explored the more pricey fare.

The Cimarron Cafe is in the location formerly occupied by the Sunset, Galloping Goose, and a bakery I can't recall. The Cimarron is a different style, more formal and upscale, but not particularly pretentious. The restaurant is divided into two sections, with a main dining room and a more casual bar area. It is pretty popular among us locals because of the great atmosphere and food, as well as generally friendly staff. They also have some good specials. For example, they get really busy on Monday nights, when they have $5 cheeseburgers. You might think: they must be small burgers, or rather nasty, or plain. But, no, they are good burgers. 1/3 pound, with free french fries and the usual toppings, with burger patties hand-made by Kalyn the excellent prep chef. And they have $2.50 beers and $6 patron margaritas. In addition to burgers, salads, sandwiches, and such fare, they also have very good steaks, fish, and chicken dishes that are more expensive but not outrageous. But the main draw, by far, is the talent of their staff. Kalyn and Cammy are both mimes, and used to be mime teachers at the famous Pompeouse mime school in Paris. They trained under Marcel Marceau, who used to lecture there, or whatever mimes do to teach other mimes, cause I guess they are not allowed to talk. The have mime costumes and makeup in the back and within 5 minutes they can transform from chef/waiter to mime. They have the white-painted faces with weird makeup and black outfits and do all the mime routines, totally silently, and also have original mime routines involving food service. In addition to the French mime routines, they are also trained in mime techniques from the Japanese Noh school of acting, Germany, Argentina, Rwanda, Bhutan and the Nunavut region. They also have a barbershop quartet with two other staff (Roy and Beth). They have the classic striped costumes and they sing in absolutely perfect harmony. They can sing old 1950s songs and also all the Dennis Weaver classics like "Ouray County Road 24" and "Llamas spit love, not cud" and "Glad you like my earthship, now get off my property." I wonder if they have some kind of mime-barbershop fusion routine, with 2 mimes and the barbershop quartet. That would be very original. Well, I guess the mimes could not sing, so it would be a barbershop duet with 2 dancing mimes. Or maybe it would be just a parody or something. I am not an expert in these things at all but I do like a good joke.

They have what may be the best french dip I have ever had. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. The breakfast is very good as well. Give it a try.

Staying at Ridgway State Park & wanted a good breakfast, saw the ratings & we decided to try it - we weren't disappointed. We had the huevos rancheros & hash browns....very good. Great service & food!

Excellent food, and friendly service are what this place is all about. Ten TV's with all the major sporting events on at all times. It also has a casual fine dining atmosphere to it in the dining room in case you're wanting a nice night out for an anniversary or birthday. The patio has a wonderful Colorado view and a cool shady spot to enjoy cocktails or a brunch. Definitely a great place to stop in and re-fuel and relax.

The Cimmaron Cafe is great. I've been there twice since it changed hands and the new owners have done a serious upgrade to this place. Both the atmosphere and the food are very good. For breakfast, they've got a pretty wide selection of hearty options that will fill your stomach. For dinner, they have a nice variety of foods on the menu that you'll enjoy. Staff is friendly and you'll enjoy a nice meal. Worth a stop if you are in Ouray.
