If you're in Ridgway and love coffee, definitely stop in here. I visited in on the third day of a bike tour (after being rained on for three straight days), and was badly in need of a caffeine morale boost. I was not disappointed - Eric made a great double espresso and then took time to answer questions about the shop, origin of the beans, and his preferred brewing methods. It's obvious that Eric and his staff put a lot of thought into their operation. On my way back to Boulder, I stopped in and picked up some Cimarron beans (Rwanda Gitesi). If they taste half as great as they smell, I'm going to be happy. Always stoked to find a great shop like this.

Super cute & clean coffee shop. Based on the line it is very popular! The barista moved quickly & the line went fast. Had a lovely vanilla latte, the foam was perfect :) Little book shop attached with small tables & chairs. They have a some nice Colorado hats & tshirts for sale. Also have a nice patio out front with lots of flowers.

I had the pleaser of travelin through this awesome town and happen to pop into this shop for a perk up! Man, this is one great shop all the books clothing and extras were spot on. Mmmm the coffee it tasted perfect and was finished beautifully. Didn't even want to drink it, it looked so good. Hope someday I get the chance to go back.

What a find! I am a bit of a coffee snob, and was looking for a flavorful cup of brewed coffee. They serve several blends from the Steaming Bean Coffee Company in Telluride. I like dark roast, so I had the "Black Magic." What a treat! This place is located on the main street in Ridgway just across from the city park.

Excellent coffee; all of the baristas are pros and I've never had a bad or watery latte at Cimarron Books. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, and very smart. There are posters and books and art and events here that provoke thought. I love Cimarron books and Coffee. When I leave after walking in here, even if just for 5 minutes to grab a to-go cup, I feel refreshed with a new perspective on life and ready to take on my day. Oh, and the staff are all super sweet and wonderful.

Only give 2.5 stars, as 5 stars reflects exceptionally great service, product, atmosphere and respect for the customer. So, half way there. I am a local who has frequented this cozy little coffee shop for the past 9 years. Comments are the thoughts of many and wishes are for fulfillment and success with this cafe. High hopes when new owner came, but mainly same old, same old. Very disappointing. Points given for friendly staff and owner, Eric, who roasts this wonderful coffee. An awesome addition. Books, cards, maps and such are a good fit. Fun to hang out. Sadly, often on historically busy days there is one person working. People walk away disappointed, often angry. Suggestions made to owner are "Always" met with excuses, but no real changes. After awhile it becomes insulting, as customers comments are met with dismissive words. I just attempted to voice my displeasure (out of total, utter frustration) and finally just walk away. Insulted, as I got reprimanded for simply expressing what a large percent of locals experience. Previous day (crazy busy in town) and one person running the shop. I drove to Ouray for coffee and good service, that reflects respect to the customer. Sure staffing is a balance, but balance takes focusing on the key foundation of a successful business, customer service. Adding some simple healthy food options would be "widely appreciated". Maybe mixed greens with a scoop of organic (no antibiotics) chicken salad. Both could be made up or bought in bulk. Instead the menu has barely changed. Only food seems to be burritos, made elsewhere, and are scary at best. Doubt many come back for that one. Very sad, as this is a local hang out, but I will be having coffee at home.

This is exactly the type of coffee shop that I love. The coffee was great, the espresso perfectly pulled, and the baked goods were amazing. I had an apple cinnamon muffin that made my morning. Prices are a bit steep, but in this instance you get what you pay for... amazing quality. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

We hail from the Portland area so we have prettt high expectations when it comes to coffee. At Cimarron, the barista was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee was excellent - My wife, who is very particular about her chai, ordered a chai latte and was over the moon about it. The shop is also filled with quality coffee products, very cool local this-and-thats, and a great book selection. Did I mention the drinks were some of the cheapest I've seen anywhere? A perfect coffee experience. I look forward to coming back whenever I'm in the area.

The brunette girl behind the counter was very rude. One visit was enough for me. Maybe if I spent more than the $40 I did she would have been nicer.

Yummy gluten free chocolate chip banana muffins made my heart sing and no belly bloat! A good thing right before a long Cyclo-cross ride. Husband had the tea and a scone. The gals there are friendly and have the Mountain town easy pace. We sat outside with panoramic views of the majestic mountains. Great place to re-charge and fuel up.
