What a find! If we lived near here or traveled through regularly, I would be a regular. We were looking for a meal stop between Telluride and Glenwood Springs but found few options online for these small agricultural towns in the river valley. A Yelp friend and I discussed this place as looking like a possibility but do be aware that they close between 2pm and 5:30 pm so plan accordingly. Luckily, we made it here by noon and had a wonderful meal. We did a late breakfast menu, in a charming garden patio setting, with friendly, helpful service. Everything was nice, no plastic plates or cups, even though outside on iron patio tables. The ingredients all come from local farms and everything is homemade, right down to the bread for the toast. Awesome. They list all of the local suppliers, veggies, meats, eggs, even honey, which you can buy in jars to take home too. And we did. We did traditional farmer's style breakfast plates and I couldn't have asked for a single thing to be different. The eggs were truly as fresh as I grew up with, from our own chickens. The homemade sausage was rustic and tasty. Hashbrowns were perfect. Jam for the toast as homemade and fresh as it comes. I would love to try the lunch and dinner menu sometime. The selections sounded terrific and what I could see going to other tables was enticing. The customers were a mix of older, obvious tourists since it was a weekday, but with some young locals as well. There is also inside seating in a quaint house like setting with displays of local items for sale.

Yummy! I love to eat organic and fresh whenever I can and this hit the spot. I am gluten free which was offered in the pancakes, and they were excellent! The food took a little while to come but thats how you know its all made fresh. When I visit again I will definitely be going back.

Oh my! Other than breakfast at home, this is the freshest I have experienced. I ordered the breakfast skillet, which was a combo of farm eggs, hand-grated potatoes, and a variety of garden veggies. The eggs were buttery and bright yellow, the potatoes were perfectly grilled, and the vegetables were just-right. Will return ... again and again. Yum!

I've been for breakfast once and it was delightful. Dinner, however, was a different story. My husband had the elk osso buco and I had the butternut squash ravioli. The osso buco was ok (slightly cold) but the ravioli was tasteless and needed some sort of seasoning ... anything. The dough was thick and it tasted like it was out of a package. The blue cheese sauce made the meal even blander. Service has always been great and lots of smiles from the staff. Shame the food doesn't match up to the service.

What a wonderful lunch. I had the soup & salad with an added grilled cheese for $10. Seriously. The grilled cheese with delicious sourdough bread was only a $3 addition to the $7 meal. The kale salad was delicious with a light young cheese in it. The Tomato Basil soup was not too thick and not too thin and went perfectly with the sandwich. I'm looking forward to many more meals here!

Living Farm Cafe is awesome in every way. Kale Caesar and Pesto Grilled Cheese was phenomenal . Js sweet and tangy BBQ sauce on the smoked chicken sandwich was also worth the stop. Only open for breakfast and Lunch so plan ahead to stop here for either.

Really nice place, lunch was great! The breakfast menu seemed very traditional. The service is good sometimes. The market had awesome local products. They also have some rooms you can rent. I have not seen them. Fun place to eat. There menu changes seasonally with what local food is available. I would definitely recommend it. All in all, the living farm is a nice place to eat, shop, or sleep.

What a wonderful place to eat lunch on a sunny summer day. A beautiful patio and a great burger with brie and handcut fries. Four in our party and all our food was amazing. Way to go beautiful lady from Paonia via Dallas.

This place gets 5 stars because they grow their own food and locally source the rest. Dinner itself was 4 stars. Not the most amazing gastronomic experience ever, but certainly well crafted, delicious, reasonably priced and all in tiny Paonia! Great service too.

Ok,but certainly not great.Started with waitress saying that they were out of two entrees.Since the menu is very limited,not having two was bad news. Service was Ok.My meal-pork chop-was ok!but not great.There were 6 of us and all felt the same way.We were here last year for the BMW Rally and the consensus is that the food has slipped a few notches.Too bad.

Got to town late, they were open until 9p and sat us at 845. The wait staff were sweet and kind, the wine and beer, both local, were amazing, the food was awesome, all sourced locally. We almost had fresh frog legs because a local made it into the kitchen and their chef is French trained. It was the perfect introduction to Paonia.
