The Glenn Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

This is a blue collar neighborhood bar that also serves food. Good food. It reminds me of a local bar back east or even an English pub without the funny accent. People of all ages hanging out at the bar. You don't have to be a regular to quickly fit in and get good friendly service. The menu is limited to a selection of burgers, sandwiches and pub fare, which suits the place and the people. The steak sandwich is fabulous (add cheese. The fries always come out hot and crispy. I usually get the plate and think, "I'm going to take half home" but then I'm most of the way through it, maybe next time. Beer selection is limited to the favorites with a few craft brews on tap, and then there is the crazy array of flavored vodka including some of their own special blends. There is no hostess and no reservations so if you show at peak hours you will have to wait and grab a seat as they open up. Relax, have a drink, they'll get you in. Great for lunch too.

This is a small little place, that when driving by if ya blink you missed it. I went during Happy hour and man did it make me happy. The beer choices were great for the food choices they have. I even tried my very first Martini here. The fried pickles were very well coated and spears instead of slices. The mozzarella sticks stayed gooey the whole time of the meal. I ordered the Maytag burger...... It was cooked the way I asked and it was so juicy and delicious. It was seasoned simply but had loads of flavor. My friend got the California Burger. I only rated this 4 stars instead of 5 because his burger was medium well but he wanted medium rare. The Staff are super friendly and always able to help. Our waitress stopped to talk to us but didn't carry on too much like some do. She even asked the bartenders to change the TV channel so I could watch the Rockies game. This is a little dive that I plan on going to again and again.

Awesome! Really great friendly service and a cool local place! Of course the namesake helps! Bean dip was awesome! Then steak sliders excellent and Glenn Royale burger amazing! A must , I am sure the happy hour is fun!

I've lived in the area for a long time, driven by, but had never stopped in. This is a great locals joint that doesn't disappoint. Reasonably priced drinks, but they also have an amazing weekend brunch! Bloody mary bar, unlimited mimosas and they serve the best breakfast! If you're in the area, definitely stop by, it's not just your average 'bar', it's sooo much more! A word of caution: the homemade pickle shots... drink with caution! :)

    Excellent scene! good beer!

First off, the service was undeniably excellent--friendly almost to the point of being spooky. Secondly, the burger was one of the best I've had in a long time. The beers could have been better. I had two different types and both seemed a bit...flat. Certainly not enough to ruin the experience though, and I'll definitely be going back.

Returned today. Burger was great thick and juicy not to mention the pricing was GREAT considering the quality. I also had a side salad super yummy love the dressing. And last just not least I seen a peppermint kiss drink on the drink menu that sounded AMAZING I will be coming back to try that which is a complement because i am not a drinker.

You have got to be kidding me! This is the worst bar I have EVER been to. Not accepting vertical ID's? Oh and now you accept them once you realize 20 people are about to leave. Complete bullshit. Not to mention the bartender called me a "princess" when I asked why she needed to see my sisters ID again after she had already been drinking. The bouncer is a joke and the bartenders suck. Do not come here for a good time. I wish we had stayed at our hotel!

I really liked this spot. Its got a cool neighborhood vibe to it. The food select for Bar Fare is excellent with a wide variety to select from. We all went with the "famous" burgers and it proved to be a great idea. All of us really enjoyed them. We were there on Saturday in the afternoon during the Bloody Mary Bar and all I can say is thats a great way to enjoy the day!! I also enjoyed the Pabst on tap!!

Worst, smelliest, rude staffed bar I've been to in years. I went with friends and haven't been there in years and now I know why. The place looks like something that should be on the show "bar rescue".....it smells like dirty socks and the only way they make money is by selling sports apparel and stealing from customers. We tipped a GOOD AMOUNT on every round of drinks we bought, not because they were awesome but because it's the right thing to do. Finally I decided to keep my tab open (huge mistake) because I paid every time I got drinks and then ordered a FEW more on my open tab and then got handed a $70 bill basically claiming I had like a bottle of liquor (not even humanly possible). Also my friend went to get a couple shots at the bar, left a $10 in cash ON THE COUNTER and took the drinks back to the table and the waitress came over and asked "IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THE SERVICE???" because she didn't see or get the tip. Whether you get a tip or not you do not speak to people that way....lastly I got fed up and asked for the manager only to find out SHE WAS the manager. I will never go there again after being robbed from the manager and I will talk badly about this place til I can no longer speak. I hope they are drowning in debt because that's what they deserve.

For my first night in CO my friend and I wanted to have a few beers and listen to live music. No cover charge which I loved however considering my friend and I both have right side up I.D.'s they refused to serve us. Just one of their companies policies which I understand so we moved on to the next place! Good for visitors to know if you received your drivers license before turning 21(even if it is still valid). Maybe next time Glenn when I get a new I.D.

A friend and I have been visiting The Glenn on average of 3 times a month since Summer 2013. We both just moved to the area from separate areas of New England, and really enjoy a few drinks, GOOD food and friendly staff. We consistently get good drinks, GREAT food and terrific staff at the Glen. We hate chains, and much prefer to support private business. That being said, Thornton is full of chains and we deeply value good places that we can support and enjoy. 1st, if you want a good selection of beer or good priced happy hour well drinks, The Glenn is where it's at. Happy hour includes half-off prices of most if not all items off the Starter menu. $5.00 for a HUGE plate of excellent Nacho's? Oh yea! Fried pickles are pretty good too, if that's your sort of thing. Big pieces, good batter. Asian wings were spicy and good, but not really our thing. Unlike most bars, The Glen actually has a nice if small selection of starters, salads and entrees, and this is REAL food. Hamburgers are HUGE and very good. The fried fish is too good to be true, and I'm from both New England and the San Francisco Bay area. Both of us know when fish is crappy. Everything we have tried was good, though certain things didn't appeal to us after the first order. We have never really had "bad" visit, and this is partially because a certain waitress sort of took us under her wing, and she's been totally awesome to us since our first visit in July of 2013. If you like karaoke and live music (in fact this is our only issue with the Glenn), they got that too. Outdoor seating in the Summer is great, and they have an outdoor bar during warm months. Outside, music is typically at a volume that still allows you to talk. Inside however, music is typically too loud to be comfortable for us. We are both older adults, and the type of music is fine, it's just the volume that it's played at. We go here and eat a nice meal and enjoy a couple of drinks before 8 pm, or during happy hour on weekends. After that, inside the music is crazy loud and we can go to more quiet places to drink if that's our plan. If only those other places had good food and the pleasant ambiance of The Glenn. And our favorite waitress.

I had the steak salad for lunch and it was very flavorful! Who knew that a bar could have such great tasting food! The price wasn't bad either (about $12). I wouldn't mind going back here in the future.

Great neighborhood bar, close to home. This place is always fun, great music ,great food, great specials on drinks and food, and awesome staff. They also have a awesome patio.

  • Sam V.

Divey on the outside but definitely quaint and comfortable on the inside. I had the Caesar chicken sandwich. Dressing was light. Chicken was well seasoned. My girlfriend had the tomato soup which was more of a tomato sauce consistency. Service was average. I'd probably come back on a bingo or trivia night, and Id recommend you do the same.

Good Music ( Sunday late afternoon) , great food and friendly staff make for a terrific time. The food was very tasty , wings, burgers fries and chicken fried steak and it was all delicious. The staff was super friendly and attentive with drink refills, taking a delivering our orders. They were all smiles and laughs. One mistake in the order was taken care of quickly and without a fuss. The fries come in pretty small portions, but the nachos are huge. The singer was pretty good as well, one guy, but a band playing a guitar and singing. Loud enough to be heard, but not so loud you could not talk around the table. Overall a great night.

Had a great first time experience, Atmosphere and vibe were good! Our waitress Karen was super nice, she reccomend a dirty Shirley to go along with my dinner which was also great! I had the Californian burger and it was ohhh.. soo..good! Friday night is karaoke night so we had fun listening to all diffrent types of genres from Bob Marley to Fleetwood Mac to Gorilla's....we will be back!

First time to the Glenn was a great one. Good food and cheap prices. We had a very friendly server. If you don't know what you want just ask, they let you know what's the best!

Oh Glenn, You marvelous little diamond in the rough you... So I live 4 blocks from this place and just recently noticed it's existence. Great service, great drink specials, phenomenal right-size portioned meals and local atmosphere. If you get the chance swing on by and get a Glenn drink token during happy hour. (Try the Spicy Turkey,) sounds stupid I know, but blew my mind. This place doesn't disappoint.

I love this bar! Yep, just like the song. The bartenders are fantastic. There is always a refill waiting for me. The food is spectacular. Good music selection. The patio is really cute.

  • Alexi A.

Summary- Awesome local place somewhat off the beaten path (for tourists anyways) delivers solid food, good service, and good atmosphere. Food- 4 Stars Nothing that's gonna get any michelin stars, but solid and as promised. Fried Pickles were very good, nachos were a solid rendition. Burger was awesome, and I am not one to say that lightly. Perfectly cooked, all the ingredients were excellent. Salad was also very good and huge, although the chicken on top could have looked more appealing for sure. Atmosphere- 5 Stars Just a awesome neighborhoody feel with a cool bar and big booths. Can get pretty loud. Service- 5 Stars Quick, friendly, and brought us a bunch of extra water when asked to. Drinks- 4 Stars Nice beer menu with good selection.

Oh Glenn, I try so hard to like you. I want to like you... but it's just not working out. I wrote my previous review based on our "bar night" here, but on the most recent occasion, we brought the whole fam. The high booths are kind of nice; my toddler liked sitting high up and my one year old could sit in a booster seat and sit at the table just fine. For an early dinner (5pm-ish) it was BUSY. The fried pickles were great. Our burgers and other fare was so-so. Typical bar food. The beer selection, however was ABOVE expectations and we were quite pleased there. I had some kind of IPA from Chicago and the hubby had a Batch 19, both on draft. Nice. Service was SLOW; this is always exacerbated when you have kiddos in tow. They start whining and it seems like things take even longer. Because of this, I watched the time, and it wasn't just me, it was slow. However, the main reason I probably won't be back here in the near future: my husband could not stand the top 40/hip hop/dance tracks that they were BLASTING the whole time. Not just background music... BLASTING so loud that it was hard to have a conversation. I can stand that kind of music a bit more than he, but it does seem really weird that a place with a "biker bar" kind of atmosphere would be blasting the newest J-Lo remix hit rather than some classic rock. As we were leaving, the band on the patio was sounding much better.

So I was in the area for a night with my girlfriend, and we decided to go The Glenn for a late dinner and some beers on a weekday around 7pm. Walking in, it was fairly dark, with low music playing, and a few sports games on the TVs. We sat ourselves and ordered some drinks fairly quickly. After that, the service was very slow. 30 minutes later we got our drinks then ordered food. 45 minutes after THAT our food came to us. I got a burger, and she got the salmon BLT. Both were good, though not incredible, noting that the price of each was about $12. Verdict: If you're looking for a neighborhood bar to grab a few drinks after work, or watch the karaoke or live music, this is the place! I wouldn't recommend it as a sit-down restaurant, as the staff is very small, and fills up quickly because of the limited seating.

  • Andrew S.

Great dive bar feel with dive bar food. Being from Minnesota my wife and I have been searching for a place not full of hipster and craft beers. This place filled that void. The food was nothing to spectacular. I had a burger that was good. My wife had a steak dinner special that I wasn't impressed with. If your looking for a good burger joint with blue collar folks this is the place.

  • Adrian A.

This place is fantastic, the atmosphere is very comfortable, great music, the staff is very friendly. The food is pretty good, as the hot wings are amazing... Sometimes I have to wonder if he's a chicken wings or Angel wings? And of course the liquor and the beer is great. Fantastic selections on tap beer. This place has always reminded me of McLarens bar from how I Met your mother. My friends and I love this place! It truly is a diamond in the rough.

  • Troy R.

A friendly place with character, delicious food and great drinks. The service is awesome but can be understandably a little slow during peak times. Great burgers and brunch on the weekends. Eggs Benedict! My go to place for a few drinks with friends or to make new ones.

Saturday night is prim rib night and its pretty good. Make sure you get there early though sometimes the prim rib runs out. I have been to The Glenn a few time the fish and chips are another good pick off the menu. My favorite are their fried pickles, they are probably the best that I have had. I love that they fry spears it makes them much easier to eat. Overall this place is a lot of fun with the live bands, karaoke and there is always a game or something to watch on all the tvs.

  • Jaime N.

OH YEAH! I am LOVING The Glenn! I grew up in Thornton/Northglenn and remember as a teenager how I felt like I was in a restaurant chain hell. The Glenn offers a British pub style environment (wood booths/bar) and a really tasty menu with good prices. Another thing I like about The Glenn is that they have karaoke, trivia, and live music nights. It really helps not having to drive all the way to Denver to find entertainment! Keep it up, guys! You've found a loyal customer!

Good stuff! I've been there to see Trainwreck a few times now. Always a great show! I've only sat on the patio and had drinks, apps, and dinner, never inside. Indoors seems pretty nice though, walking through. While their beef is not grass fed, they state that it is fresh ground by a small local producer. A step in the right direction! The burgers are quite tasty. Good sweet potato fries. I like the fish and chips too. The green chili dip is not spicy at all, and it is quite cheesy. It's a bit wetter than some, not as thick and gooey as you might expect. Good flavor, just not what I expected. They could use a stronger/thicker tortilla chip that would hold up better to being dipped. Drinks are good. It's more of a beer place than mixed drinks. The first gin and tonic was better than subsequent. Different bartenders maybe...very different pours. Service is friendly but at times a little slow. I think they need to staff up a bit more for popular band events. Plenty of people bring their kids, even for the loud music. It is fairly family friendly, although there were some smokers later on in the evening. I like The Glenn, I'll have to go for lunch or something another time, even when Trainwreck is not playing. They're awesome though!

I have been here many times and I am never impressed. Sure it's fun and a great alternative to the chain restaurants in the suburbs but it's not that much better. The staff is friendly enough but nothing special. I wouldn't have bothered to write this review except this was listed under healthy food in yelp and I don't entirely agree with that. Normally I come here for a happy hour with friends and I'm not concerned with the health factor of the food I consume. Today however I brought my almost three year old child and the kids menu has the normal awful cheese and carb filled items with soda, french fries and an ice cream Sunday as the only offered sides, etc. I had to ask for her to have juice and veggies and pay a dollar extra for my kid to eat vegetables. That's ridiculous! I eat as much hotdogs, pizza, bacon and ranch as the next person if not more but please get off your "downtown restaurant in the suburbs" high horse with your mediocre at best food and garbage filled kids menu The Glenn.

This place was amazing! Hidden gem in Thornton. I went on a Saturday evening and it was a bit busy, got the last table in the house. Wait staff was very nice and the prime rib special I got was PERFECT! Why I just found out about this joint boggles my mind. Awesome food, hometown vibe.

Went on a Saturday for happy hour, we got terrible service. I had to open and close my tab twice because our waitress told us she was leaving , then she told us she was staying. We were outside ( smoking allowed) then sat inside ... Still did not have an assigned waitress or waiter. The food was excellent and about the only thing worth it. What a shame. Won't be back.

3.5 burger! It takes a lot to get this high of a rating. My server makes it a 4 star. Nice quaint place good pricing and tasty burger. I asked for med rare and got a medium but still juicy and good flavor. Definitely a local place.

  • Noah P.

Love this place. The steak sandwich is awesome. Good beer prices and if you go in on your birthday you get free drinks! Oh the fried pickles are also bomb.

Went with my wife and two kids under two and plan to go back. Nice place, good food, kid's menu, very nice people. It was a bit pricey but looks like a solid deal if you hit a happy hour or special. Very good beer selection too.

  • Sarah M.

Yummy yummy yummy burgers!!! Never frozen beef??? What??!?! You can taste the difference. This is a bar that seems out of place but walk inside and you will feel the neighborhood warmth! Decent pricing on food and drink and good healthy pours will keep us coming back! If yiu want to sit down during karaoke I suggest you get your booty there before it starts! We waited forty minutes and snagged some seat at the bar! Great bar! Will come back again and again.

Hidden gem in industrial Northglenn! Great food, drinks, gets pretty crowded and the "crowd" gets pretty crazy! Awesome lunch and drink specials. If your craving a good burger, this is the place to go! AND the sweet potato fries are my fav! Check out the patio;) Spacious, nice bar, and the outdoor fire pit is cool! Rule of thumb, just don't get too close to the fire, especially if you've had too many drinks! Reminds me, I STILL have a damn scar on my right butt cheek! Check it out fellow yelpers!

I used to live close to this place & visited frequently. Haven't been there in awhile since I moved, but was in the area last week and decided to stop by. It was JUST as I remembered! It's out of the way, probably what some would call a "dive," however it's anything but that. They have awesome food, live music certain days, and an outside patio for the smokers. The burgers and blood mary bar are fabulous. Very casual atmosphere....flips flops and tank tops are dressy. Btw....don't miss the cinnamon roll waffle. Creme cheese frosting! Yum :)

Legendary burgers indeed. The service was perhaps a bit sluggish, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

Went here last night for a late diner. The first thing I noticed was the noise level. It is pretty loud. TV's going everywhere, pretty crowded and warm inside. The waitress was on top of stuff and got our drinks out quickly. For starters we had wings and quesadillas. The quesadillas were really good, but the wings were a little overdone. For main course, we had a burger, fish and chips, and the Monday Special, a pulled pork sandwich. Food was good, but nothing really memorable. Restaurant was A-ok - not bad, not great. Since it's close to my brother's apartment, I would probably go back, but I wouldn't make a drive to go there.

In the area, this is the finest local bar around. The staff has always been great. This is my go to spot in the area. The menu is simple but very good. The beer selection is balanced if not excellent. Nice patio/beer garden in the back. It is almost too popular for my taste now as it can get crowded. Also free wi-fi if you are in need. This is what local bars are supposed to be like.

  • Pam C.

This place is such a solid 4 stars, that if I see it slip to 3-1/2 stars, I'll change my review to 5 stars. After reading the reviews on Yelp, this place was exactly what I expected and wanted. Went with my grandson for brunch. Hot day (well air conditioned). Service was splendid. They made a smaller meal for my grandson and barely charged anything for it. He loved their lemonade and I loved my bloody mary from the bloody mary bar. No crowds. No wait. Just perfect for what we were looking for.

I have been the Glenn several times and there are things that I love, the food is good, sweet potato fries are yummy and they offer a variety of vegetarian options. But every single time I have been the service has been horrible. This time is was Tuesday night and they have Geeks who Drink, you would think they would staff for that well I guess not. One bartender and she was way behind. It took 15 mins to get a beer and we were sitting at the bar! I understand if they were wall to wall but they were not, the service was just not really up to par.

    (3)
  • Jeremy C.

I came here on a Tuesday to play Geeks Who Drink. The service was fantastic. The person behind the bar was very quick to refill my drinks, make sure I had everything I needed, and also did some conversing to get to know me a bit. I felt welcomed immediately. So many places forget the human factor, and this place didn't. They have karaoke on Thursdays and Fridays also, but it gets really packed for that. Get there early so you can get a seat. They also have a giant patio that will be great when the weather gets warm. They have a great number of craft beer on tap and delicious burgers. If you are in Northglenn, check this place out. You will be glad you did.

This is the perfect local dive. I say dive but its still really nice and clean. It just has that great warm dark homey quality a good local bar should have. We stopped in on a Sunday night and it wasn't packed but still fairly busy. We started with some fried pickles because I can rarely turn down fried pickles at a bar. They were the big spear style and were nice and warm and crispy. Perfect. I got the Maytag burger with sweet potato fries. It is your basic blue cheese and bacon burger. I was a little sad about the amount of blue cheese on the burger. It was just a small amount in the middle and the bacon wasn't much different. I am a big believer in having each bite of your burger include everything on the burger and it just wasn't going to happen with the proportions. BUT the burger was big and juicy and yummy so I still managed to scarf the whole thing down. The SP fries were fairly basic but still yummy. The boy got the steak sandwich and loved it. The chunks of steak were perfectly medium rare. As we were getting ready to leave the live music was being set up. It was just a dude and his guitar but he was good. Behind him was a wall with board games and the booths were nice and big. It was really the kind of place you go to hang out in the neighborhood. Too bad it isn't my neighborhood!

  • Heidy B.

This place is wonderful! We sat at the awesome large bar in the middle of the restaurant and Maggie (our bartender) was awesome! She made all the best suggestions for our food! We had fried pickles and shrimp! So good! They also had the greatest Bloody Mary Bar, which allowed us to create the best Bloody Mary's ever!

  • Cindra S.

Best food, best happy hour, best service! What a gem right in my neighborhood. The burgers here are amazing, and all the food is delicious. I have never been disappointed. Beautifully patio with fire pit, Excellent happy hour deals, and a bloody mary bar on weekends! 5 Stars!

  • Taylor B.

This is truly a great local place to hang out. There is karaoke on Thursdays and Fridays which is always fun to go and check out. If you are looking to have an in-depth conversation, this may not be the place for you. It is a pretty loud place but its easy to talk to whoever you may be sitting next to. There is a patio outside with a firepit if you need to step out which is nice. As far as food goes, I always get any one of the burgers because they are great and the sweet potato fries get a lot of love too. Drinks are pretty standardly priced but happy hour is really where it is at, 2-for-1 drinks before 5 if i remember correctly.

  • Debbie H.

The Bloody bar alone is worth the four stars. They have everything (except Montreal Steak Seasoning...hint, hint) and it is clean. As you know, not all stay that way! The burgers are yummy as are the nachos. Not sure I've had any thing bad, it's all good. Drag yourself on over.....you'll be smiling for hours!

  • Jay H.

Nice, open and warm neighborhood bar. Not too loud, nice mix of cliental. Food was average at best, but I should've went with a burger or fish and chips which are their specialties. Canned chili and canned queso. Definitely stay away from the chips and queso. My wife had turkey, bacon cheddar sandwich with sweet potato fries. Better than mine and the fries were best thing either of us had. Inattentive service. Great selection of beers on tap. Will go back, love the atmosphere. Just hope to find some food items that are tasty.

  • Matt H.

This isn't a dive bar, this is just a great bar. They have a decent selection of draft beers and great burgers. I think they have Karoake some nights but I've never stuck around for that. We've come her for lunch, dinner, and happy hour after work. The servers are pretty no-nonsense, but they are always attentive and get the job done.

  • Danny L.

This has become a regular hang out. We found out about this place because it was the after work hangout for our favorite 975 North (god rest its soul) waiters. It's just out of the way enough to be "locals only," but still is almost always full (a good sign). The ambience is dive-bar size but MUCH cleaner and with more attention given to the look and feel. We love the lights (school light type globes hanging from the ceiling). The booths are cozy, and while the place definitely has a buzz, it's never too hard to hear each other and have a conversation. The burgers are THE BEST. They use local Colorado beef, so this is one of the few places where I'll still have a burger. I feel a little like I shouldn't be reviewing this place, 'cause I don't want too many people to catch on, but it's definitely our new "go to" local spot.

    (4)
  • Epona S.

I love this place! It is so yummy! They have a lot of beer selections, and their burgers are to die for. The inside can be a little loud for family dining, but the patio is the most perfect atmosphere

Delicious! Cheap! Great atmosphere! I thought my mom was kidding when she said they had the best burgers around - they are wonderful! They taste meaty, there is no greasyness or fat on them ... and the pulled pork was similarly lean and cooked perfectly. I recommend the fried pickles and sweet potato fries!

They always have good specials. They have boardgames too which we took out once and played over drinks. My only real complaint is that almost every time I've been in it's taken the server a long while to initially get to our table and sometimes a while to get their attention otherwise. It can get loud. The food was cheap, good, and quickly delivered. The servers were sweet.

Place was slammin on a Sunday night. The burger has slipped to Ok - still edible but not as good as the first visit. I'd still go back but this is on my watch list. Service is still decent.

I *heart* the Glenn. It's everything I've always wanted. DELICIOUS burgers, good fries, awesome service, laid back atmosphere, fried pickles, great beer...I could go on and on. If it gives you an idea of how much my husband and I love this place, it was the first place we thought of for our last "date night". The only thing I would change is that it's a bit loud inside.

Yep.... Just Love It! Whenever I am in the mood for a burger, this is the place to go. Burgers are beyond good and with sweet potatoe fries and fried pickles on the side, it just doesn't get any better for me! It's a great neighborhood bar and with trivia night, kareokee, outside patio with live music in the summer and cheap drink specials, how can you go wrong. Not in the mood for any of that, well just go grab a board game and get on with it already. I can remember a night with a group of 6 sitting in the big booths drinking PRB and playing JENGA - good times. I've been here more than I should note, but will keep coming back anytime I get that burger or PBR crave:)

I like this bar... From the outside it does not look like much. Once your in it feels more comfortable . Had a nice neighborly feel with friendly staff and very good food. I was expecting simple greasy bar food but was surprised at the variety and quality of the food. Not the cheapest place, but a the food was very good for the price. I have been twice now and I'll go back again..

My girlfriend and I went here for a lunch based on the reviews already posted. The great reviews are well deserved. I walked in, I dug the atmosphere. The waitress was great; super chatty but not in a forced way. A pretty good selection of beers to choose from on tap, and I managed to get in during happy hour to get a buck off my Fat Tire draft. I got the southwestern burger and it was delicious. I wish I could taste the green chile more, but the taste of the meat was excellent. They also formed the patty to have a greater diameter and be a little flatter, which is welcome considering some places almost put a ball of meat on a bun. The bun was also delicious and perfectly sized for the burger. I like how they made a point on the menu of mentioning that their ground beef is from a local place, as are their buns. My girlfriend got the avocado melt and while she wasn't as impressed as I was with my burger, she still enjoyed it a lot. The prices were very reasonable. The draft beer (real beer, not swill like bud light) is a little overpriced, but it's not outrageous. Overall, a great restaurant with good food, good beer, good atmosphere, and good service. They check every box on the good restaurant checklist for me.

I had a great time there last weekend. They were completely packed and everyone was out on the patio for karaoke. In between karaoke songs they were playing a good mix of modern music The crowd was a mix of ages ranging from 20s-50s and the food was great. The burger was pretty greasy but good sized for bar food and the sweet potato fries were awesome. They smoke their own barbeque in-house so I'll be trying that next time I go.

The Glenn isn't a good nor a bad place. I have to admit I was there recently and the Hamburger was good, but didn't seem as good as previous times. The service was a little slow but I didn't mind because I was on a date and we were enjoying our time. Other than that everything else was fine, but nothing that made me go "wow".

I've only been to The Glenn for drinks at the bar so I can't rate the food. I've seen what they offer and the prices seem really low so I'll have to check that out sometime. I was there on a Saturday night and they had a guy at a mic with a guitar. He was pretty good! The music was a bit too loud but we still enjoyed it for the most part. The worst part was the service. The bar is a "U" shape and from where I sat I could see two sides and part of the third side. At one point every person sat with an empty glass or bottle in front of them and we all watched the bartender ignore us. It did have one benefit because it got us all to talk to each other. We had something in common -- we were all thirsty! When a couple came in and sat at the bar I glanced at my watch to time it. They waited five minutes to get some attention from the bartender. Then they finished their drinks and watched the bartender for awhile. Eventually they decided to go somewhere else. Yes, the second round had us all talking to each other again. It didn't take our bartender very long to get tabs and money, at least. Lastly, the bartender put a bottle of Crown Royal near us and we had a chance to stare at it for a bit. The label looked as though it had been washed many, many times even though the bottle was full. If you ask me, that means that they wash the bottles very often (they didn't look like that was the case) or they were refilling bottles. Interesting. I still want to try the food sometime but I think I'll find another place for beverages.

Went for brunch with my wife and 2 year old. Chicken & waffles was excellent, good solid burger and good screwdriver! Music a little loud, but it is a " grill & bar". Clean, great service, highly recommend.

We've eaten here several times, and it's pretty darn good food. Atmosphere is good... easygoing, intelligent staff. Seems obvious they won't just hire a warm body to work here... they must screen pretty heavy to get smiling bartenders and wait staff who seem to really care about their customers. Good beer selection, quick service and a pretty wide variety on the menu for a bar. Make sure to try the fried pickles. They're spears... not slices, and well fried in a tasty batter. I'll rate them 9 PBR's out of 10.

The Glenn is a great place to get a break from all of the chain and fast food restaurants in the suburbia-hell of north metro Denver. It looks a little grimy from the outside, and isn't in the greatest location, but the food was delicious, the service was respectable, and the atmosphere was very low key and comfortable. We shared a chicken club sandwich and a buffalo chicken sandwich, both of which were very tasty. The fries (both regular and sweet potato) were perfectly cooked and salted. They have a decent selection of beer, even though it was a bit overpriced for the neighborhood. Our quirky waitress was very attentive and entertaining. I was also impressed with their taste in music... a blend of mellow current popular and independent artists. We will most definitely be back... even though it's a bit of a drive for us.

I don't want to like this place. I hate finding awesome places on vacation. You know, 'cause I'd love to go there all the time. While not as awesome as Squeeze in Marfa, Texas, this place still falls in that category. The awesome thing is that it doesn't look like anything from the outside. An older, ugly building conceals the delicious inner beauty of the Glenn. The decor is cute-- a mix of super old school (30s and 40s esque tiling) and more modern hip (the tiny little lunch trays that the food comes on instead of plates). The only particularly negative thing I have to say about the place was that the booths can be a little hard to get out of if you're not a twig-- the table and an armrest at the end of the seat are a little too close together. Oh, and we saw my dining companion's salad being made. It looked like they were piecing it together one piece of lettuce at a time. But that isn't so much negative as it was kinda funny. Anyway, the cheapish draft beers ran around $4 but there were cheaper bottled beers I think. I had a burger, which was damn good, and the food that my dining companions had looked good too. The fries came in a little metal bucket/cup thing. Adorable. AND delicious.

We love it here- it can be crazy busy on a Friday or Saturday night, so we choose weeknights or brunch on the weekends. Their Bloody Mary bar is delightful, the burgers are fantastic, drink specials are good, and patio is great (if you can find a smoke-free corner...). Some nights it gets loud with karaoke but I'm not usually out late enough to worry about it. One of our favorites!

Broken A/C? 90+ degrees outside? Not a good combination! I could barely stay for one drink. I will consider giving this place a try in the winter, although the heat will probably be broken.

One of our favorite low-key, good food bars to go to. They have daily specials, but our favorite is the Sunday night Country Fried Pork Chop....not healthy, but OHH so delicious. The beer is always cold and the food is always great. The servers are friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. They have a patio for summertime use, and it's always sure to be a good time.

The Glenn is our favorite local pub. The atmosphere is great, lots of wood and vintage lighting and floor tiles. They have specials nightly and a bloody mary bar on the weekends. The food is suprisingly delicious and diverse for bar food. They also have a brunch menu. The reuben is good, so is the green chili. They have board games if you like and great booths to sit in. Trivia on Tuesday nites!

This place, in regards to atmosphere, is hit & miss. Half the time we really enjoy ourselves, other times I feel like this place is an extension of Lodo's (loud slutty drunk girls wearing clothes smaller than they should, dude-bros with popped collars, white sunglasses, MMA and Tapout fanatics, yuck). However, the food has always been good--but a little overpriced (drinks too). But, like I said, it's hit and miss--other times the atmosphere is really pleasant. We usually will stop by and have a drink, and by the end of the first drink we know if we are staying or bailing.

I shouldn't like The Glenn, but I do. A nondescript little neighborhood bar in Northglenn, full of exactly what you would expect: backwards baseball caps, really bad facial hair decisions, and women wearing outfits that would have been a bad idea 15 years ago, much less now. But for some reason, I dig it. First off, it's cute. The decor is modern pub. Lots of wood, high-backed booths, and a centerpiece U-shaped bar in the middle. They have a full menu consisting of bar standards, but all done well. The burgers and sandwiches are really good, and they add their own touch to the presentation by doing things like serving their fries and fried pickle spears (yes, I said fried pickles) in little metal pails. Service is super friendly, and they have a killer happy hour with half prices apps and drink specials that include 2-for-1 pints of PBR for $2.50 (can I get a HELL_YEAH!). They have a patio in the back, but from what I can tell from what's behind the Glenn, it's more for smokers than for the view. They also have a trivia night and occasionally bands. Every time I go, I invariably make some smartassed remark about the knuckleheads, or the old drunks, or the cougars, but I'm always happy to go back. Maybe it's the cheap PBR and smiling servers. Maybe it's the fried pickles. Or maybe it's just that I appreciate a good neighborhood bar, even if I don't really connect with the neighborhood. Cheers!

Glad we saw the good reviews and decided to stop. The burgers were great. Even the veggie burger was delicious. They have the standard fries option or steamed veggies for those wanting a healthier side. Our server was friendly and attentive, the food arrived quickly and the music was good. The Glenn was a good find.

Service, FOUR STARS !!.....The bartender put the Rockies game up for us at the bar ! (Really, in a few other places....they do not wanta put up the Rockies for us......) I like that some bars have the Stella Artois glasses...with the stem, so...that you can look cooler drinking your beer. I feel so much classier with the genuine Stella glass.... Food, THREE STARS!!!....Why you ask? My husband asked for a burger with just lettuce. When it was delivered just a short jaunt from the kitchen, the server asked him if he had wanted the tomato's, lettuce and onions. He told them...nope, just lettuce....and we watched them (from the bar) pick off the extra condiments he specifically did not ask for off the burger in the window. .... otherwise, he enjoyed his burger which was cooked to temperature as requested. I had the "Ballpark Nachos" The menu promised some sort of cheese sauce...or cheese, beef chili and onions, tomato's and sour cream. I think the ratio of the latter was good...(Oh, and pickled jalapenos..) but the chili was hardly there. I found a few beans and a random piece of ground beef, but I felt no real chili presence there. Cheese? A few sprinklings of cheese matter...no discernible cheese sauce to be detected. The chips were cold and some of them stuck together from frying..and a few of them too dark. I was happy that it appeared that they fried their own chips...although they were careless in the process. Their salsa was really good, which I asked for to add more flavor to the nachos. I really used to love the Glenn for the above bar food quality. Now, not so much. : /

Beautiful patio, great atmosphere, and affordable hang out! The sweet potato fries and fried pickles are really tasty, the burgers are yummy and there is a beer for any taste. If you go, you have to check out the patio. It's so comfortable and well put together. This is no corporate owned same ole'. This is my new hangout!

Once the location of a biker bar, the remodeling and reopening of the Glenn was a pleasant surprise. After peering through the windows on drive by's and seeing more SUVs in the parking lot than bikes we thought it was safe to enter. We were both pleasantly surprised. Well portioned burgers in cleaver little trays, holding any condiment you could think of. The decor was comfy and casual though slightly too yuppie for the neighborhood. The beer selection is decent and the daily drink specials aren't bad. I love bars and pubs with trivia night and board games. There's nothing wrong with a little drunken competition. Though if stop by to play Jenga...please don't steal the tiles!

Been going here for Happy Hour since it opened. Great atmosphere and though I really haven't "eaten" there, they fried green beans are the BOMB! The prices are fair and though, normally we go early for happy hour, the service has always been pretty good though, went Friday and ordered one drink, it took 15-20 minutes to get it and the place was almost empty but, every place has a bad day. Gotta try it out if you are in the area....

My husband and I use to l live just about a 2 minute drive down the street and went here all the time. We still make a drive from brighton to go because their food is so good. They have the best FRIED PICKLES of any resstaurant!! And we make sure to go there every year for our birthday. When we went last December for my birthday I got 5 free drinks of any kind (shots, beer, mixed drinks, etc). I was able to have them myself or split them. Plus, the place is very, very cozy and I love the new outside patio. The board games that they have there are so much fun when you are with a big group of friends. They also have sweet potato fries and excellent Ruebens! My husband and I NEVER had bad service at the Glenn and we have been going there ever since it opened. Almost everything on their menu is delicious!!

I had high hopes for this place after reading the reviews and was sorely disappointed. The interior is nice enough BUT THE LIVE MUSIC IS RIDICULOUS. IT IS A SINGLE GUY PLAYING FOR TIPS SINGING THREE DOORS DOWN SONGS LIKE THEY WERE SUNG BY GARTH BROOKS. ITS A SMALL PLACE BUT THAT DIDN'T STOP THE GUY FROM CRANKING IT UP TO 9 AND LAYING ON THE WHAMMY BAR. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR OR TALK TO MY WIFE ACROSS FROM ME WITHOUT SHOUTING (kind of like I have been doing annoying right?). I had the fish and chips that were advertised as hand battered. They might have been in the factory where they were frozen before they were flash deep fried. My wife's salad came with an extra 6 oz's of water in the bowl. Her potatoes were cold and not only that they were hard around the edges like they had been formed an hour ago the potatoes were undercooked. The chicken-fried steak was burnt ( I mean come on) and it was all coated with 99 cent instant great value gravy (yum). At no point did the waitress ask how our food was ( not like she could hear our response any way). This is hands down the worst dining experience I have had here since moving to Co in early 2009.

I enjoyed my dinner here with my Dad and sister last night! The Glenn is a somewhat upscale bar in the metro area that serves typical American food like burgers and sandwiches and has a big variety of drinks. We started with the Chil bean dip and this was sooo good! The bowl was practically cleaned by the time we finished. It combines cheddar cheese, bean dip, and green chili with a plate of tortilla chips. I had to stop myself from eating more because I didn't want to be full before I even got my actual meal! I really recommend this app, I only wish it was a little spicier. For my drink I got Pama Flirtini which I LOVED! This cocktail was made with I think pomegranate liquer, pearl citron, champagne, and some grenadine. I ended up ordering two throughout the night I liked it so much. I let my sister try it, however, and she said "it tates like a Starburst!" So, this drink is probably made for someone with a sweet tooth (like me!) We did have to ask for water seperately, which is annoying to me. This isn't California where h20 only comes by request because of the drought. At least when it was brought out, they use giant mason jars so it's enough for the whole night. For my entree I got the salmon BLT. The salmon was made really well but I wouldv'e enjoyed this a lot more if it wasn't absolutely drenched in the chipotle sauce. A little goes a long way. The fries it came with were nothing to write home (or Yelp) about. Side note: substituing a side salad with your meal instead of fries is $2.99 which is the exact same price for a side salad on the app menu. We decided to stick with the fries and get a side salad to share instead since it was the same price no matter what. That was strange to me. The service was pretty good, although the waiter forgot to ever bring my sister's 2nd drink she ordered. He was really nice and was cracking jokes, though, so no worries. For three of us our bill was over $100 which is pricey for a "bar" dinner but we did order 1 app, 5 drinks total, and 3 entrees. I would definitely come back and first thing I would order is that drink I loved! I am gonna try to recreate it this weekend. Will probably fail. Thanks!

This place was a good find! We were looking for something other than the usual chain restaurants in the area and this place stood out by its reviews. They state local beef burgers and Karaoke every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. That does not suck. The parking lot is small and packed but the place seems larger inside than it looks. They do not have a hostess but we had no problem finding a table. The service was great (thanks Mike!) and the food was good for average bar fair. I got the chili cheese burger (red chili) and was not disappointed. My wife got the Big Ben and our daughter got the Maytag. Both were great. Tater tots were a bonus. Fried pickle wedges were also good. They also have a good assortment of family games for all ages and there a few kids so it is kid friendly. It is basically a good local bar with good food and entertainment. We will be back!

Great little place, kind of an upscale bar. Friendly service, and good music. Food is great, nice little place to meet and unwind. It's always packed so they must be doin something right ! Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it.

A very comfortable setting with booths, tables and lots of bar seating. The music was great, the waitress was super friendly and very helpful the drinks were perfect. The fried pickles were gone...quickly! I was so excited to eat a burger out...seeing grass fed, local burgers on the menu was such a treat. Everyone at the table got one! They were mouth watering! Each one was cooked perfectly, the veggies were fresh and the bun was toasty. The fries could have been better, I like them hot, crispy and moderately salted....such a guilty pleasure. These fries were bland and a bit soft. They have a cute selection of board games hidden by the booths up at the top of the wall. I can't wait to come back for their brunch. It looks amazing.

We had a very nice time here. Had some fried pickles, which were the best I have ever tasted. I think they must use like a Clausen pickle, and this made them very firm and tasty. We had great service considering it was packed. Everyone was very welcoming. We were here on a Karoake night, and it was tons of fun to watch. They have a nice set of taps with lots of local beers on tap. It is a nice neighborhood family location as well. The only thing that could use some improvement is they might need to expand a bit as seating is very tight, and very little if any dance floor. They make the most of the space though. We will definitely go back to try one of their famous burgers!

A perfect example of how a neighborhood bar and grill should be. Friendly and attentive bartenders and wait staff that make you feel at home, great food (try the burgers!), and a great selection of entertainment from Karaoke, to live music. And a great patio, lots of seating and a fire pit.

I had been meaning to try this place for some time now so since I was nearby I went in. The place is cozy and everyone seemed friendly enough. There was a mix of people from older folks, bikers, families and a few of what might have been hardcore regulars. The service was a little slow for not being real busy but that gave me time to look around. They had a Bloody Mary bar set up that was pretty busy. There was preseason football on most of the TV's and NASCAR on 1 television but it didn't seem that anyone was there to watch either. We ordered an appetizer of buffalo wings and they were good, not too hot but meaty and tasty. I ordered the Glenn classic burger well done ( always well done at new places ) with fries. The burger was real good and cooked as I requested with onion, lettuce and tomato. The fries were standard fare and nothing special. Good bar food and we had a good time so I would go back for lunch and a beer.

Happy hour and I split a burger with the wife; $32 bucks for one burger, 1 glass of wine and 1 beer! Are you kidding me?? The CA burger wasn't as good as Old Chicago's either. And enough of the music already.

Great find. My coworkers were complaining about it being a bit off the main road, but they both admitted it was worth the patience. Burnt my mouth on the fried pickles, but I definitely still enjoyed them. Almost went with a salad. Don't do it! Go for the burger.

I really like this place, it feels cozy and warm. The night we went it was busy but inviting and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Went with friends and played one of the many games that they have available for patrons. Had beers and a couple of appetizers which were all delicious and well-priced. I am a particular fan of fried mushrooms and was delighted to see them on the menu. They could have used a minute or two more in the fryer, but would give them a try again.

We stopped in here tonight after hearing my dad rave about it for a long time. We were outside reading the menu to make sure that they had something we both wanted and a guy told us "go in, the food is really good!" so that made us feel better about it. We ended up getting a steak sandwich which was fantastic and full of flavor. A hamburger that was really great! They source their meat locally, it is fresh never frozen and it is completely grass fed antibiotic free meat. The flavor was really good and reflected quality. It was perfectly cooked too. The french fries were awesome, no clue why, but they were just better than average. We had the mac and cheese which was delicious, although a bit cold. Our dinner ended with the doughnut sundae which was pretty good, although it was mostly whipped cream. Overall, we will be back!

I laughed when someone called it upscale. Neighborhood bar. Very casual atmosphere. Local hangout. Staff is great and have been there a while. If Northglenn had a cheers, well this would be it. I wish they had better TV's for sports but for cheap beer and good food you can't beat it. Burgers are greasy & delicious. Weekend make your own bloody mary's are wonderful. Weekend brunch menu is really good too.

This is a neighborhood bar. Huge patio out back with live music during summer months. I've been to the Glenn too many times to count. I've had cocktails, beers and almost everything on the menu. I like it all. What I like most is though I'm not a regular, I feel like one when I'm there. I went there when I first moved here 5 years ago. I'm moving away and will miss it much!!

I have now been in twice. Once to meet up with an old friend from childhood last Spring and recently for Saturday brunch with relatives in Denver. Both times I have been pleased by the atmosphere, service and quality of the food. Though i did not partake, my niece tells me the weekend brunch bloody mary bar was outstanding! This is a dive bar with a neighborhood friendly feel. If your looking for a comfortable environment to have a few cold ones or start your weekend off properly, then I would highly recommend The Glenn.

We weren't greeted at the door & no "seat yourself" sign. E though the server was polite-she was afraid of us BECAUSE THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. THE PRICE IS OUTRAGEOUS. We ate our food because we were so starved from not eating all day. And we would have told the server, but once she dropped the food at the table, she did a quick run by ONE TiME... Won't be going back. Will tell others the same.

Very good food and a lot of local beers to choose from. The service is great and the staff friendly. Keep in mind that it gets very busy on the weekends and karaoke nights are Thursday and Friday. That being said, if you are looking to sit down and eat during those times, there might be a long wait preceding a very loud dinner.

OMG. This place has the best burger. I had the southwestern burger and it was AMAZING. The party was juicy and the jalapeños and green chili were hot. My mom had the Reuben and said it was the best one she's ever had. And she's had many Reuben's. The cups they serve drinks in are awesome to. They are 3 cup mason jars and I loved it. The staff was super nice. They call everyone honey when they serve you. I loved it and will definitely come back.

this place has some pretty good food but bartenders service is mediocre. we definitely only go to the Glenn when there's no other place to go. lighting kind of sucks too. hasn't really improved over the years, seems to have gone downhill actually. would be awesome if there was a really good bartender here...we'd probably stop by more than once a year! sorry Glenn!

Awesome food! I've never ordered anything I didn't like. It is a little on the pricey side as far as Pub Food goes, but the staff is always friendly and the food doesn't disappoint. They have live music throughout the summer and its a great local hangout.
