Really a great brewery that opened up in Niwot, CO recently! I have been here two times so far and have not been disappointed! My first time here I got their chili beer which tasted great! My second visit here I got the cherry ginger beer which was equally amazing! I have had cherry beers in the past and sometimes they are too sweet but that is not a problem with this cherry beer! I highly recommend you try out this new brewery! It is a little tricky to get there if you don't know Niwot. It is on the farthest back road to the market place area. Don't put all of your scruples on the GPS because it took me just past it in a nearby residential area. Regardless if the GPS does lead you astray this brewery is worth looking up!

I was terribly disappointed by Bootstrap. It's a neat little place in an interesting part of town, but I thought the beers were among the worst I've ever had. I ordered a flight of several that sounded good but didn't finish a single one of them. Plenty of other people obviously like this place, and beer is admittedly a matter of personal preference, but I've been to almost all the breweries along the front range, and this one stands out in my opinion as one of the bottom three or four.

Truly a gem of a new brewery in sleepy little Niwot! I am grateful for the good folks at Oskar Blues for turning me on to this relatively new brewery just a few minutes away. They brew some sensational beers, anchored for me with the Insane Rush IPA. Hoppy and strong, it's amazing. However, the best part about Bootstrap is stopping by- it's got just the right atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a bit. It's certainly not a brewpub like Oskar Blues is, but it is comfy and friendly and certainly a good place to sit for a bit. If you get hungry, they do partner with delicious Abo's in the same complex for a pizza deal. Also, Monday's they have a deal on growlers- $2 off. I'll definitely be back- quite possibly fairly regularly. Go check them out- it's cool to see a small craft brewery with a good personality and great beer in Niwot!

I really like the off beat location and creative craft beers they have. Not your standard beer selection. Very friendly also, I will be back.......

Had a flight here the other day and I did not leave disappointed. The beers are very straightforward and also a little experimental. The peach gold and chili beer were very unique but my favorites were the brown and amber. Being in such a small town the service was friendly and welcoming. I probably would not go here again given the location but if in the Niwot area I would stop by for another pint.

This brewery is off the beaten trail, but dang is it awesome! Tucked in the middle of Niwot in a little market area is this fantastic brewery. On my last stop here I was heading back to Denver from a golf trip up in Longmont and I noticed this wasn't too far out of the way so away we went. What a good choice! A band just was setting up in the front room so we settled up in the back bar and enjoyed some great beers while rocking out to some classic rock covers. I had the sampler since I never had been there before and each of the beers were very well refined and delicious. Beware though, the Chile beer was a tad tough to handle after having the other beers. Might have been because we also just had Mexican for lunch and chile on top of this is never a good time, but I say try it but beware! The layout here has a very friendly feel and it appeared they had a nice little patio out back. Go here and enjoy, you won't be disappointed.

I have been to Bootstrap about a dozen times or more and it is truly a great hidden gem! The beer is very good and the ambiance and service are great! Bob the bartender is super friendly and eager to tell you about all of the beers on tap. They often have live music and it typically starts fairly early which is great if you just want to grab an early beer (or two), listen to some great tunes and head home for dinner. They really go out of their way to have excellent music with a variety to suit all tastes. Even the Monday night open mic was excellent! If you go, be sure to try the chili pepper beer, which is the spiciest I have tried yet. The Sticks Pale ale is really session-able and the Insane Rush IPA won't disappoint! Steve really works hard to provide a consistent and quality product. The love shines through in every pint!

Oh yeah! Wowza! This magical place is worth the drive if you are venturing anywhere near there! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon just as the live band was warming up and sat at the bar. We got a full flight and it was fabulous! The beers were great, but that chili one was too much for me! I loved the Golden ale and the Merlot barrel aged version of the Golden ale too! How fun is that?! The weird decor, kickass band, and great service were top notch! There were many a happy patron enjoying themselves and I was in a great mood for the rest of the day. They sell really unique growlers and this place was so darn charming, I fear I may have dreamt it! More cowbell!!

Yelpers were right with this one. Delicious beers, nice relaxed vibe (band playing - not too loud - lovely really). Worth a visit. Buy local drink yokel...yup...great IPA's...Insane Rush and Wreck Havoc X...wow some.

Just got home from their beer pairing dinner. It was awesome! Steve explained how each beer was crafted and then Justin shared how he paired each beer with the delicious food. A totally enjoyable evening. Kim

A perfect neighborhood brewery. The beer is great and the atmosphere is relaxed. Awesome to see that they are canning the IPA now! The staff is great. I feel like I'm Norm walking into Cheers most times. Also, some great bands play on the weekends. It's obvious that someone spends a great deal of time choosing the lineup.

Hidden, but tremendous. Wonderful space, incredibly friendly bartenders, and super interesting beer. There's a great number of things happening with their suds. They've got beers that are mellow, uncomplicated and accessible for all levels of beer fans, and beers that are significantly more complex, bold, and in your face. I thought their hot pepper beer was one of the best in style I've ever had. Legit spice, actual pepper nose and flavor, with a slightly lingering mouthfeel to let you know you actually had some capsaicin in there. There are a hefty ~10 beers or so on tap, and there's a lot of great stuff happening. It's not going to be a destination brewery all on its own (unless you live close to Niwot) but if you live in Denver like me, I CANNOT recommend Bootstrap enough as part of a bigger brewery tour. Awesome beers, awesome atmosphere, fantastic soundtrack (nothing but great classic rock!) and a pretty cool little tap room. Bootstrap brings some of the Denver craft beer scene to Niwot, and does it with style. Strong work, everyone. See you soon!

Such a cute little brewery! I love the cozy, homey feel, and I love that it's so local. My brown ale was good, but I've had better. I did enjoy my Gingerbread Ale, however. My chicken wings were surprisingly good - seasoned well and went quite perfectly with the blue cheese dressing. A good low-key place to hang your hat and relax.

Bootstrap is a small and up and coming brewery located in Niwot. They make one of my favorite brown ales around, and are only going to get bigger and better with the coming years. They do trivia on Tuesday nights. It is a great local hangout and if you are looking to try something new, stop in and give them a try.

Went there for the first time on New Years Eve to get a growler. Tried the IPA and it is amazing. Got to sample a few others...chili beer is really spicy, might be good as a bloody beer but I don't like bloody beers. Tried a few others that were tasty but the IPA is the way to go! Great place for a brew.
