Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Pretty good pizza. Garlic knots were awesome and for $4 you get a lot. Service was great- very friendly. Would recommend!

Ordered this for delivery. Decent pizza but it's not 4 star quality. Pretty generic pizza with not a ton of flavor. Was hoping for a NY authentic pizza it you'd have better luck at Abo's and that's saying something. Too pricey for what it is. Garlic knots were delicious and delivery was nice and quick

Since moving to CO from the East Coast a few years ago this has become my go to pizza place. My co-workers and I eat here at least once a week and we are proud vassals of the court of the Pizza King. The pizza here is straight forward and classic. None of your cracker crust, vegan, gluten free, MSG free, anti-biotic free, GMO free, free range, farm to table, organic nonsense here. This is real pizza. So called "foodies" and the lemming rabble that prefer institutionalized big chain pizzerias: you're not welcome here! The crust is delicious, the home made marinara is first rate, the toppings and cheese are generous and the pizzas are expertly prepared. The royal pizza family that runs the place are a friendly group of people who are extremely responsive to customer feedback. To the members of the mutant public that complain about the prices here, you must be going to the wrong place. The lunch specials in particular are extremely easy on the pocket book. As other reviewers have noted, the garlic knots should not be missed.

Pizza King gets five stars for the calzones and garlic knots, four stars for the pizza, and three stars for the meatballs. So if you want a five-star experience (or if you love the crap out of cheese), come for the calzones. I couldn't put mine down even though it probably weighed ten pounds.

Pretty good NY ish pizza it did make me happy when I got my pie and it had large floppy slices of not excessively greasy pizza with well cooked crust that wasn't soggy. The place is a strip in a strip mall and not exactly well decorated or maintained but was clean. The pizza made up for it, the sauce was seasoned and complimented the crust and toppings the cheese was stringy and good (not like those cheap chain restaurants). We ordered an 18 combo and got a well made pie that we all enjoyed at a dirt cheap price, I've paid double for worse. The pizza we bought was a good old school pizza I'd go back for another

I don't get pizza anywhere else. I usually order my pizza with extra sauce since it's so good. The toppings are plentiful and evenly spaced so every bite is perfect. Also: GARLIC KNOTS. I'm not a garlic lover, but these are incredible. I can't recommend them enough. I prefer NY style, but when we ordered the Sicilian for a work function, it got rave reviews. I love supporting local businesses and Pizza King is way better than the chains for maybe(?) a dollar more. It's a no-brainer. If you don't want to pay up the wazoo, then don't get a million toppings - the cheese and sauce are good enough to stand alone (although I do have to put in a word for my favorite pepperoni and pineapple combo). Special shout out to the friendliest workers in the world. I always have a smile on my face when I get there.

Too expensive, doesn't tastes any different from dominoes. Overpriced and not that great!

Love their pizza - order the legend all the time. It comes super hot, with amazing dough and the meats are delicious. Can't give them 5 stars, however, because their wings leave much to be desired.

The best thing I can say is that the pizza isn't bad. It's just meh. Nowhere close to NYC quality, sad to say.

Ordered a Palermo Sicilian pizza add sausage for delivery. Probably the best pizza I have had in Colorado. Loved it. The sauce was perfectly balanced, the crust was crispy and chewy and The delivery was timely. Yum yum!

First time calling this place... so loud in the background I had to repeat my order 5x. We finally figured out my veggie pizza order with two modification. Then 20 min later they called to re-confirm the "confusing" order and then we went through it again. Finally they repeated the correct order to me and said my pizza was being made. On delivery of my pizza it was the complete opposite of what we had just talked about over 2 different calls. Although they are sending out another pizza free of charge I'm still waiting almost 2 hours for a veggie pizza without 2 toppings

This place rocks! I love their pizza (perfect amount of chew to the crust, yummy toppings) and upon trying their wings recently, found those to be pretty great too. They have awesome pick up deals but also have some pretty cheap bundle deals for pick up or delivery. They also sell pizza by the slice. I'm not the hugest fan of the space (it's kind of awkward and long) but I don't tend to eat my pizza there anyway and it's pretty convenient to get to. It boggles my mind that the best pizza I've found here is also one of the most affordable but I couldn't be happier! And it's local not a chain which is an added bonus. Oh and if you like garlic, check out their garlic knots- cheesy, garlicy and oily in the best possible way.

Great NY style pizza! Check out their carry out specials. Garlic knots are smothered in garlic butter-so unhealthy but so delicious! Kinda skimpy on veggie toppings, we like to get the XL cheese then add our own toppings at home. Always friendly folks working! If you do get carry out be prepared to wait at pickup if it's really busy. They use a phone line for their CC machine and the phones are ringing off the hook when busy.

If you love NY style pizza, this place can't be beat. It's probably the best NY style pizza I've had in Colorado. The garlic knots are great as are the fried mac and cheese. And they deliver! Good pizza delivery options in the Louisville/Superior area are limited. I recommend this place over any chain.

Good pizza at a good price. It is nice to have an independent pizza place locally. Friendly people and most nights I go in the owner is there making sure things are running well! We go at least once every two weeks! Oh and the GARLIC KNOTS! OMG...you gotta try the garlic knots. Make sure they give you plenty of garlic oil in the box too...YUM

  • Travis C.

Super friendly service but unfortunately the pizza is ordinary. The crust is too weepy to stand up to the toppings. However, if you're looking for a deal they do offer a cheap alternative to feed a family with their take-away specials. If you're picky about your pies keep searching.

My husband and I really like this pizza place! There was a slight hiccup on delivery and when we called they were very professional about it! When the pizza finally arrived, it was still hot and very delicious! The pizza dough really was perfect! Also, my husband hates pepperoni pizza but he loved Pizza King's. This place really is the best NYS pizza around town!

  • Holly C.

This place looks very unassuming and is easy to write off as simply yet another Boulder-area pizza joint. Nevertheless, I stopped in for a couple of slices and a Coke - only $5 - and was thoroughly impressed. The owner was very friendly and running the cash register himself. This isn't going to be the best pizza you've ever had, but it's very tasty and just what you need when you're craving a New York slice. Not to mention their free delivery and reasonable prices for a full pizza. With Pizza King around, there's no excuse for anyone to ever order Domino's or Pizza Hut in the name of frugality again. Tip: avoid the mozzarella sticks and go with the garlic knots.

Great pizza and garlic knots, little dough twists brushed with garlic butter and dusted with cheese. Nice break from all the chain pizza places around us. They are the only place we go for pizza!

  • Heather M.

I was surprised to be the first reviewer since they've been around for at least a year. This is good pizza. It's not the super gourmet, $15 for a personal pie kind of pizza, but it's tasty, reasonably priced and worth a try. Delivery was fast and friendly. The sauce was great -- not too sweet (which I appreciate) and with the right amount of garlic. We'll be ordering from them again.

Great pizza and fast and friendly service & delivery. I'm a big fan of the beef and mushroom! Thankful for the fresh (instead of canned) mushrooms.

Very happy to have a pizza place in our neighborhood that is not a big chain. Pizza is fresh and yummy, really good. Specials in their website make it a good deal.
