This place is what I call typical Moms and Pops eatery shop. Small, friendly, warm & cozy, relaxing, and pretty darn good comfort food. Simple menu with mainly varieties of Stuffed Burger and Cabby (Stuffed German Burger), they are both excellent! They make everything homemade, and of course, burgers and Cabbys are made to order, it comes to you freshly cooked, hot, super delicious. The cook, server, cashier, all very friendly and take good care of you. Really great place, you really need to head over there if you in the area!

I have eaten here five times in the past couple of months and have to say that each and every time has been a great experience! I have yet to try the bacon cinnamon roll, so a sixth visit is guaranteed. The options for their stuffed burgers are plentiful. Each one I've had has been juicy and delicious. They offer various side dish options, but I must admit that the quinoa salad I had today is my current favorite. It was listed as seasonal, but I hope it makes it to their menu, full-time. The Proud Momma selections are an added bonus and offer a wide variety of "cabbage burger" options. They are served with a mild horseradish cream on the side that adds a delicious depth of flavor. While the serve yourself drink station and the bus your own table request may be off-putting to some, I have no issue with it as it allows the owners to provide their excellent fare at VERY reasonable prices. The owners and other staff have been friendly and approachable at every visit. I highly recommend Good Eats Grill and will myself be a regular diner!!

Great food, clearly made by people passionate about what they do. Very friendly owner who made a point to talk with every customer there. I'll definitely be back! They do pick up orders, dine in and carry out.

Great, juicy Burger with side of asian slaw. What makes their burgers both special and unique is that they stuff veggies and cheese INTO the burger. YUMM. I showed up too late in the day to get a bacon stuffed cinnamon roll, but there is always next time. Great friendly staff, and kind owner make this a restaurant to return to!

I'll keep this short and sweet: this is our new favorite home-style restaurant in Longmont....the food is home-made and delicious, the attitude super-friendly, and the value is excellent. If you're looking for a great meal in simple, homey surroundings, look no further.

All day breakfast and amazing burgers. The biscuits and gravy was top two or three anywhere I have eaten and that's a lot of places. Glad to have them in the area.

The Good Eats Grill has just taken up residence in the very unassuming strip mall on Francis Street, across the street from the old Pantry grocery. Apparently, this strip mall has been purchased by new owners and will be getting a much needed facelift soon. Like many others, I read about Good Eats in the Times-Call article which highlighted their bacon cinnamon roll. (I know, right?) So we stopped in for Saturday breakfast a couple weeks ago. The atmosphere is lacking, so don't go with expectations of a hip space. You order and pay at the counter and they bring the food to you. Not my favorite way to do things, but they are saving money and it shows in the food pricing. This place is CHEAP and I really appreciate a cheap breakfast place, especially when the food is really tasty as our food was. The "Breakfast Specialties" can be had three ways: burrito, bowl, or breakfast sandwich. Kind of an interesting way to do it. We opted for burritos and got them smothered with their tasty green chile. Mine was the Southwest (only $5.25 sans green chile and I don't know how much extra the green chile cost): eggs, chorizo, jalapeno, and pepper jack cheese. My husband got the Meatlovers which was the most expensive at $6.75. That's right, the priciest thing on their breakfast menu is $6.75! I probably sound like a big cheapskate, but it is rare to see prices this low these days. They also sell what they call stuffed burgers (apparently the "toppings" go on the inside) and we haven't tried them but they look good. And they also have cabbage burgers and variations on cabbage burgers. Back to the cinnamon roll. Yes, this is basically why we came, but my husband ordered and only asked for a "cinnamon roll" so we got one with no bacon. (So sad.) But hey, it was actually really good. Very moist and drizzled with some frosting/glaze but not so much that it was over the top, and our kid devoured it in a matter of minutes only giving us a few bites. So anyway if you are looking for a good little greasy spoon, give this place a try. I'd love to see them succeed. Thing to know: Closed on Sundays! Boo!

Ah yes... we so need more of these. A local diner/cafe 'just around the corner' in the middle of town. Local folks making local food and doing it well. It's fast casual (you order at the counter, they bring it out to you, you clean up after yourself and save on tipping). 7am to 7pm. They do gluten free (if you want it); they can 'low carb' things (bowls vs. breakfast burrito wraps) and they can layer on the fat and carbs, if you're so inclined. I little somethin fer everyone. BUT... They specialize in something dear to my heart (and the reason for 5 stars vs 4): Bacon stuffed cinnamon rolls. Did you get that? BACON. STUFFED. CINNAMON. ROLLS. Oh yea... I know..right? Whodathunkit? But it's friggin AWESOME. They call bacon 'meat candy' and man, they are not kidding. These things are incredible. I can't explain it, you just have to try them. They also have a sort of 'restaurant in a restaurant' idea called 'Proud Mamas' made up of home made stuffed sandwiches (basically fillings baked into bread dough) M-F from 7am to 1pm. Things like cabbage burgers, veggie burgers, reubens and mexi burgers (regular and 'hot'). So..yea.. the actual full name of the place is: The Good Eats Grill & Proud Mama's. A mouth full (but it's a darned tasty mouthful). Big thumbs up all around.

How do I love thee, let me count the ways!! I'm mad it took us so long to try this place!! As soon as I walked in, it reminded me a few little places I had been to in rural Germany with the 'help yourself' approach to business. Greeted at the door by the smiling and warm Chef Don and equally friendly hostess we immediately felt welcomed. Soon after our meals arrived, Chef Don stopped by our table himself to gauge our satisfaction...being 3 bites in my response to him was "this is nothing short of genius." I was enjoying "The Original Cabby Mama" which was comfort food at it's best. Having just transplanted from the East Coast, we use to enjoy a similar meal there called a "Patsy" which got it's rustic beginnings from the Poland/Slavic regions of the world. Chef Ron gave us a quick history lesson of the "Cabby" originally hailing from a German/Russia background. All of which...I am a fan. Tender, deliciously prepared meat, cheese and in this case cabbage stuffed inside a perfect crust. SIMPLY YUMMY. I appreciate a non pretentious restaurant, with a controlled menu. A menu I am sure that contains quality not quantity if the rest is anything like what I tried today. I can't wait to return and try "The Reuben Mama"...I'm told it's "off the hook."

After I read an article in the local paper about their bacon stuffed cinnamon rolls, my fiance and I decided to try it out on a Saturday morning. I am a big supporter of local restaurants, and try to eat at them every time we got out. When we walked in, I looked around and waited for someone to seat us. The chef came up and explained that we order and pay first for our food, which is fine, but not something that I really expected. We took a glance at the menu and decided on their specials. I got the Tamale breakfast (homemade tamale, eggs and potatoes smothered in green chile), and my fiance chose the biscuits and gravy. I realized later that I hadn't been asked how I wanted my eggs, but decided to be ok with whatever came out. And we OF COURSE ordered a bacon cinnamon roll! He rang us up and I asked about coffee and water. He informed us that it is serve yourself and had to cancel our credit card payment and charge it again with the coffee included. Fine. We walked up to the "drink bar" and fixed our coffee, then sat at a table by the window. My fiance had fallen on the ice the day before and used the table as support to sit down because he had hurt his back (after we had put our drinks down). All of a sudden, the table FELL OVER. Spilled his coffee and all of the condiments on the floor. After examining the table, we realized that it was a four top supported by nothing more than a thin rod in the middle. OK. We got everything cleaned up, and the waitress cleaned up the liquid on the table (she was VERY pleasant btw, no complaints at all). I thought that as long as the food is good, this might be worth it(?)... Our waitress brought our food out on what seemed like aluminum camping gear plates. I get it. They're cheap and they serve the purpose of food plating... I was really excited to eat my homemade tamale and eggs. I looked down to what I had hoped to be a delicious looking plate of homemade goodness, and was immediately disappointed. The tamale looked ok, but my eggs were scrambled, and looked like they had been microwaved in a cylinder dish and BURNED. Soooo not appetizing... I tried the tamale and liked it. Tried the eggs and blah. Not good at all. The potatoes were bland. My partners' meal looked like biscuits and gravy, but very thin sauce and biscuits that looked like they were out of a can. The only redeeming part of the meal was the cinnamon roll. It WAS really good! I could actually see myself just going there, picking up a cinnamon roll to go, and returning home where I can serve myself in comfort. The bottom line is that this restaurant, while maybe having good intentions of (hopefully) paying the servers more instead of having them actually serve you (which they do serve the patrons) by cutting down costs with a "serve yourself/clean up after yourself" thing, is lacking in a comfortable atmosphere, tables that stand, and great food. I like my local restaurants, and I want them to bring something to the table that looks and tastes like they put effort into making. Unfortunately, I got none of those things (except for the cinnamon roll and tamale). If I am going to pay $20 for breakfast, I will go to Aunt Alice's where the food is CONSISTENTLY good, the atmosphere is inviting, and I can tip the waitress for the job that she is paid to do.

My wife and I ate there yesterday on the suggestion of a friend. Glad we did. Best burger in town. The owners are so nice. They will make a burger about any way you want it. The sides were wonderful. German Potato Salad and also the Jalapeno Cole Slaw were GREAT. You need to go here. You won't be disappointed. DLH 9/11/2015

Glad we stopped in! I had the Turkey Burger, while my mother tried the Beef Burger. Very fresh, quality ingredients, embraced between a homemade bun. Service was great. I look forward to returning with friends and family!
