My boyfriend and I love coming to The Shack for any and all sports games, great food, cold beer, plenty of TVs and we like the laid back sports bar atmosphere. I also like to bring my mom and friends here occasionally for happy hours too! My only complaint is that the service is almost always a little slow (not with the amount of time before you get your food, but with being checked on.) I have had good luck a couple times, but that's always with the same waitress (and I wish I remembered her name because she's awesome!) Other times, your beers are empty for awhile before you get approached about another drink. I was in this past week for a happy hour with my friend, excited to show her my favorite spot in Highlands Ranch, and I had to flag down a waitress in another area to go and get ours to order food, and I would have liked another 2.50 Coors Light, but it was getting late by the time we were asked again. When we were done we had to wait about 30 minutes before we saw our waitress and had to wave her down again to ask for the check. I know they were busy though, because it was poker night. I like that they have fun stuff like karaoke, music video trivia, poker etc. also :) it's hard to find fun, intimate bars like this anymore! Food here is SO YUMMY! I recommend the wraps, and their green chili burger is bomb. For appetizers try the zukes or the Kenny's (I think is the name?) Quesadilla, the one with bacon!

19 dollars for lunch. Really! Charge me extra for a side salad even through I didn't have an additional side. Food was average at best. Would have paid maybe 12 bucks tops. Side salad had iceberg lettuce. Poor quality for the price. Will not return.

Wow! So- walk in here and feel like you are at home. Then, do yourself a favor and go sit on the patio. Also, stick with my reviews and thank me later. The menu has a lot of options- ones that were recommended but that we haven't tried - but the homemade options are the best! We really didn't have a single thing we didn't like tonight- and as yelpers typically do- we ordered a lot of food! The service was really amazing- the waitress (Stephanie) was even really helpful regarding their happy hour specials since it was close to the end of it. They don't have a lot of selection in the way of wine but we were really in the mood for home town local food and drink. If you are anywhere in the area and have that craving, this should be the place! The restaurant is a little hidden on the Safeway shopping center but don't hesitate. We will certainly be here for our favorite football games this season and even for the "hard day at work, we are going out!" type of evenings, Ok- food favorites: Fried mozzarella- hand breaded and really amazing. Fried zucchini- fresh from the owners garden (in season) and soooo good (this actually was my favorite, I couldn't even take it home - had to eat all of it!) French dip- The roast beef and super creamy cheese - order it without the bun and you have a no carb dream! Don't miss out on the au jus! Fried pickles- these are whole pickles - cut into spears and then hand breaded and deep fried. Need I say more. Jeez- can you give me any more amazing food tonight?? Wings- the wings are whole wings---we had the garlic and they were good- ordered them extra crispy and they were good! The sauce is really flavorful, so if you are tasting other items eat them last! Specialty drinks- we had a honey whiskey and ginger- was an amazing dessert!
