I tried this place still trying to find a replacement for the awesome Chinese food place that got taken away from me. I went in during lunch time and ordered the sesame tofu which they informed me that it only came in the dinner portion, I said okay paying the dinner portion price and expecting the dinner portion size. When I got home AHHH NO!!! I have received bigger portions from Panda Express for a lot cheaper. Also I got a small steamed rice and the small container wasn't even 2/3rds of the way full. It gets my goat when Chinese restaurants skimp on the rice. Cause if they skimp there where else do they skimp. SO long story short I will not be coming back here. Expensive prices and small offerings. The reason people believe "suburban Chinese food" always sucks.

This restaurant is AWESOME, my coworkers and I come here often. The outside looks very plain but Service is always good. Sometimes when it's busy you can have a bit of a wait but once you order your set. The food is always delicious and brought promptly! I have got the sweet and sour chicken, and the chicken fried rice, both are yummy! Plus you really get a GOOD portion. I would definitely recommend it!!!

The portions here are pretty small. The flavor is average. I ordered the garlic chicken this time and it hardly had any chicken in it, all filler vegetables. It did have a bone I bit into though. Pass on these guys.

We were excited to try this place since it is a few blocks from our new home, but it was extremely disappointing. The crab wantons were not flavorful and kind of soggy. The sesame chicken was very hard/crunchy and more breading than meat. The pork lo mein was also not good. The food tasted mass produced and overall was pretty bad. It is a No for us and there are several other places we will be taking our business. Sorry Golden Taipai.

Surprisingly good! This restaurant is located in the shopping center where I do all my grocery & beer shopping, so it's a little surprising that this was my first trip. Wil and I conveniently talked each other into stopping for Chinese take-out on the way home, and we weren't disappointed. Although Golden Taipei smells like Subway (which is next door), it has a nice ambience - it's not one of those really tacky, over-the-top places. The prices seemed a little high considering you didn't get an eggroll or anything, but the food (sesame chicken, General Tao's chicken) was delicious. I really wanted to try the crab & cheese wontons, but my budget said "not until you have a coupon!" Take-out was reasonably quick, but I think we'll eat there next time...when I have a coupon!

Was apprehensive due to very mixed reviews. Came at lunch with kids. Soup was very good - better than it looked. Lunches come with soup and egg roll. Very fast service. Great food. Will definitely come back.

This wasn't my first time here. I've been coming here with work folks for the last couple years. It's a solid go to for Chinese fair. We seem to hit this place up at least a couple times a year, usually when someone is leaving the company. Seems a place to go when you you're going to wish someone a fond farewell. At least from my experience. Not to say that's a bad thing. It's fast, super friendly staff, and has a warm atmosphere. For the area I'd say it's the best.

This place is getting expensive and the quality has really stored off. I think my chicken was really dried rubber. Way too expensive for what it is. It's really close to the house but I think I'll drive a little longer.

this place is empty, which is always a nightmare for restaurant business/owner...i walked in there and there were three tables occupied..browsing through the menu looking at over-priced items...i went for the basic of basic, shrimp fried rice and a beef chow mein..the guy asked me if i wanted lunch menu or dinner menu...i am thinking its 1pm so it would be more appropriate to order lunch menu...so that was weird...anyway i ordered to go, didn't find any mood to eat there...i get home ready to eat, chow mein noodle is kind of dry, lack of flavor, beef is also dry with very little flavor...taste like egg noodle with separation of flavor...blah! small portions of food...fried rice was basic below the ratings...i could make better fried rice than what i had...this is very bad...only positive is and its funny...the chili paste oil sauce...that spicy hot chili oil paste...yup, that was great....i would never, go there again to waste my money...service is poor, no one is smiling at the restaurant...rumor i heard of cockroach seen inside the restaurant which is enough to step outside and run.

The food here is very good. I ordered the shrimp and black bean sauce & it was fantastic. Won ton & egg rolls. Perfect. Downside, service was painfully slow. Prices are reasonable. Wait staff was courteous, but still slow.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
