They removed my favorite bagel. The Green Chile bagel. Disappointed in that. Tried the Parmesan bagel and was just ok. Customer service is not great. Tried ordering two bagel breakfast sandwiches. The man taking the order seemed like he hated his job and had to ask me several times what I had ordered. I won't be going back for overprice bagels unless they bring back the green chile bagel

This is my go to bagel place. The people who work here and super nice and the service is quick. Their bagels are super delicious and they have great discounts on day old pastries.

So sad, The employees are so surly and obviously miserable. I have to think there's no management and it's hard to tip when my order becomes a major meltdown for the service help. The stoner guy who is usually there even asked meltdown if he could take over, but she declined and THREW her first attempt in the trash 3 ft away. For this I was charged an extra $ 10 for veggies on 3 sandwiches that were supposed to be included....OWNER: plz give it up and go back to selling used cars.

How hard is it to have decent customer service? I come here once a year and it's only because I forget how bad the service is. The feeling that I am an enormous inconvenience to the staff just disgusts me. They try to get me out of the store as quickly as possible. Train employees on customer service. Last time I'm coming here.

I have been here for breakfast a few tumes. Overall it is pretty good food. Sometimes heavy on the cream cheese. Has an interesting breakfast burrito. The place doesn't seem clean and the seating isnt comfortable or friendly to more than 4 but it appears to be centered around takeout anyway. If it were full, their process of ordering, paying and picking up food would be chaos.

My experiences at Big Daddy's in Lafayette have consistently been good! We generally will stop on a Saturday morning on the way to an outing. My teenage son orders a breakfast bagel sandwich (egg and cheese). My regular order is an Italiano bagel with cream cheese. i have never been served anything but the freshest bagel, usually still warm! (at 7:30 or 8:00 am). The staff is friendly, a little laid back, but always gets my order right. The coffee is high quality, but about one out of three times the supply runs out.

Thought I'd try Big Daddy's for a morning stop, and had a decent experience. The counter gal was friendly and recommended her favorite muffin - raspberry! Always a good idea, except here it means a plain-ish multigrain muffin with a small dollop of berries on the very top. The latté wasn't bad - it's hard being this far east of Ozo. I would have appreciated a louder shout-out when it was ready, rather than being notified a few minutes later that it was waiting on the counter. I guess that's what I get for sitting down to check emails while I waited!

Solid, not spectacular. Good bagels, quick service, reasonably priced. I often just get a dozen bagels and some cream cheese to go for my bagel fix at home.

This is the ONLY place I get bagels. The service is fast and super friendly. I HIGHLY reccommend this place.

Bagels are very good and several of the eclectic sandwiches are also good. It is a place to get a quick good bit to eat. The few times I have been in the place it has been messy; overflowing trash, trash and food on floor, chairs all over and this was at 1:30 pm on a Sunday and I was the only one in there. Take a little pride in the way the place looks.

Bagels and nothing but bagels. You'll get your bang for your buck no matter if you stop here for a little lox and cream cheese or a lunchtime bagel sandwich. Egg sandwiches are tasty with cheese, and the cream cheese with my lox was laid on so think that I had to scrape some off (my own preference). Thick fresh slices of lox, topped with capers and tomato. Mmm mmm mmm. Forget about the McD's next door. Order your bagel and grab one of the small cafe tables outside if you're lucky.

They do have a large variety of spreads and bagels, just too bad that they quantity does not equal quality. While the bagel may have been okay if it were toasted properly, it just wasn't. It went through the toaster and was even a little black on top but it was barely lukewarm when I got it. I think if they slow down their toaster (and check that attitude guy who gave my husband grief about double-checking that there was no egg on his) then I might give this place a second try. Until then I will take the advice of another reviewer and just get mine at the grocery store and toast it (thoroughly!) at home. My dog snuck the rest of mine while I was at another stop and I was not the least bit sad about it.

Go Daddy Yup. Let's go somewhere else, big daddy! There are two Yelp listings for this same bagel joint, so I decided to add my review in the one that had the real phone number. ANYWAY, I was intrigued to write my review on Big Daddy Bagels immediately after purchasing my families breakfast here. I don't know why but I felt like I needed to even if I have a million other reviews in my queue. I entered and the set up was very relaxed with patrons lounging. My kids quickly spotted the kids table as I proceeded to the ordering area. The lady I encountered was fairly kind but throughout my stay she became a tad flustered since a cute little rush followed me. There was also a gentlemen that was chit chatting with a patron/friend which I don't particularly mind since there were three staff members handy. Overall, being new to the area and to this establishment, I felt kind of tossed around. I wasn't the fastest "orderer" and, maybe I'm wrong, I probably didn't follow standard ordering protocol. I ordered a veggie bagel and 2 juice boxes with the main lady, then while she was getting to work on my order another lady took my pizza bagel order. I then proceed to tell the initial lady which veggies I wanted on my bagel. All the while the other staff members got busy with my other order and the patrons behind me. When it came time to pay I grabbed a day old muffin since I felt that asking "which flavor do you recommend" would be pestering at this point because of the line that grew behind me. No worries, it was faster since the "new" muffins require them to pack it for me and it also saved me a dollar. I also decided to order a Sunrise Smoothie. SMH, for shame I add another item to my bill when she asked, "will that be all." LOL, oh well. The total came to a little under $18. Tasty? EH! It was average. My veggie bagel was good and nothing out of this world. I did ask for a toasted bagel but it didn't seem to have come out as such. As for the pizza bagel, it wasn't all that. They spread your choice of bagel with marinara and melt cheese over it. A sprinkle of of oregano or italian seasoning would have made it a ton better. My smoothie was okay. I would have much rather grabbed a Jamba Juice or whatever the local smoothie rage is in the area. This place just didn't tickle my fancy.

previous to this visit we thought we just got a 'Not fresh" bagel however this time same thing we don't want it toasted because a fresh bagel when it is fresh is to die for! however hard, not fresh, my husband even saiod if they gave it to me free i wouldnt take it last time for me and : $6.00 for 2 with cream cheese no thanks

I've tried many times to like the bagels from Big Daddy as it's one of only a few bagel places around me. I don't get it, the bagels taste like cardboard. Today I had an egg & cheese on a bagel. Microwaved egg, slice of cheese not melted on a bagel, one bite and I threw it away. I won't go there again.

A friendly spot that serves up tasty fair trade coffee and bagels that come close to NYC standards. We also just had a delicious fresh cinnamon bun from here recently. The staff are friendly and patrons are happy to chat as well.

I'm pretty picky about bagels and I was not impressed. The bagels were just OK, and the cream cheese tasted like they had just scooped a hunk out of the giant philly cheese tub. The main reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of the atmosphere and service. All of the staff treated me like they had been trained by Dick Cheney's charm school and there are all kinds of chairs in the way of where you order. It's like a labyrinth getting to the counter.

BigDaddy's Bagels doesn't show up in the Yelp's Lafayette search and Yelp won't let you Check-In here, saying "you're too far away". If you click on 'Directions to Business' you're directed to a location that is two miles away from the actual store. So taking all of this into account, I ate a bagel and coffee this morning in a place that doesn't exist, that doesn't accept check-ins but does accept cash. I'll try again another morning on another dimension and with my cloaking device deactivated.
