Five of us went to lunch here last Sunday and EVERYONE was extremely impressed with not only the food, but also the fantastic service we received. I had the Gyro plate as an entree, and everything on my plate was authentic and delicious. The Gyro meat and Hummus were as good as anything I've ever had. The Pita bread was baked right in front of our eyes and is came out within seconds of being completed, puffy and hot. Our glasses never made it to empty without being refilled. The Chicken Shwarma plate was also a huge hit. The plate was filled with a tasty sampling of hummus and rice and homemade cole slaw, a sprinkling of a few fries, Tzatziki, and we also used their homemade sauce that was spicy and tangy. We received a free sampling of their Baklava at the end and it was outstanding. Everyone loved Amira. We will be back!!

Amazing food, large portions, fast service! I had the Gyro plate, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great!

My husband and I have eating here many times, we usually get takeout but the atmosphere is cool too. We have had their falafel platter, vegetarian plate, lentil soup, Lebanese cheese pizza, as well as sides of hummus and cabbage salad. Everything is good. The cheese on the cheese pizza is very flavorful. My husband loves the cabbage salad (actual side is not on their menu, but it's no problem). The falafels are gluten free, and light not overly dense and oily like many places. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A wonderful addition to Golden!

I really used to like this place. Really good food at reasonable prices. Excellent hummus! Then today, I had a really awful experience. Our waitress was completely inappropriate. First of all, she really wasn't a great server, but her comments are really what bothered me. I have eaten at Amira's at least four or five times in the past, but am also just a big fan of middle eastern cuisine anyway, which I realize she would not necessarily know just by looking at me, but she kept asking me if I knew what I was ordering with every selection I made, which came off as condescending. She didn't bring us plates to eat our sandwiches off of, she just brought them on a tray that was obviously not conducive to sharing food off of, so we had to ask for additional plates. Then, to make matters worse, when I went up to pay, she asked me if it was my grandmother I was with. I was with my mother, and I found this extraordinarily rude. She then kept trying to guess my age, which is highly inappropriate. Needless to say, she did not get a good tip, and there is a good chance I will not be going back. Very uncomfortable experience.

AMAZING! Best middle eastern food I've had in Colorado! Hummus and chicken shawarma were spot on, and they make their pita fresh! Falafel was light, fluffy and delicious, and baba ganouj was smoky and fresh. Very nice decor, clean and great hot sauce on the table...nice presentation with the food too, and very well-priced for what you get...happy these guys are open now!!!

This is my kind of restaurant. If you like a relaxed atmosphere that offers large quantities of delicious food at a low price this is a great place! So happy that it is less than a mile from where I live. It is well worth a visit.

The best place for Lebanese food we have found, especially the huge pita breads that look like gigantic sopapillas. You can see the chef working the big ovens. Teh Lebanese pizzas looked great. The vegetarian options abound, unusual cabbage and sweet pepper dishes. I ordered the lentil soup and a big salad plus the yogurt drink. M had the vegetarian combination. Well prepared, fresh and what a friendly lady at the table service! It got busy and yet she did not falter. The decor is interesting, used to be a grocery store, I think. They have fixed it up quite nicely. Will most aasuredly go back.

Funny that in a small town as Golden, they would open up right next door to Golden Mediterranean Icon. But they have 2 really great things worth noting. Their babaganouj is delish (yes, better than across the street) and their bread is pretty great too. But if it's hummus you are after, go across the street. So, in the end, either way, you can't loose! 2 great middle eastern restaurants, both offering a specific and unbeatably delicious dish, so it just depends what you're after.

1.5 stars, rounded up. Thoroughly underwhelming, in every facet of the experience. The restaurant a few doors up the street is head, shoulders, and torso above this place. I went for lunch with a friend in late July, it was 95 degrees out and the front door was open and there were zero patrons. Uh-oh. The waitress (and I use that term loosely) apologized for the heat, saying that their A/C had gone out the previous day. I'm pretty sure HVAC repair guys work at night, but it HAS been hotter than Hades here, so maybe they were all busy - I'll give them a pass on the stifling heat. We asked for water to drink and those promptly delivered and kept full, so credit where credit is due. To say the decor is plain is to a disservice to both the words "decor" and "plain". A couple of extra-large IKEA prints on the walls and some chandeliers that still have stickers visible on them? Blargh. The open kitchen view so that people can see the wood-fired oven is neat - for a pizza place. Which, by the way, is what Amira purports to be...because, you know, that long-established tradition of Lebanese pizza, right? We opted to start with their hummus, which was tasty. The bread that came with it was interesting but I don't know that I'd call it pita, per se; it was thick on the bottom with a huge air pocket and then a thin shell - very much like a sopapilla (not the only quasi-Mexican food experience...more on that later). When she dropped off the hummus, our server mentioned to us that if we liked hot stuff we should try the sauce in the bottle with the white cap, because that was a homemade hot sauce that they make in back, "much like a Sriracha". Nope, not at all. Nothing like a sriracha, it was thin and watery. In fact, if you put their house sauce next to a bottle Tapatio or some other cayenne/vinegar based sauce, I think 9/10 people would be hard pressed to tell the difference. The aftertaste was exactly the same as any bottled hot sauce at any Mexican restaurant. I ordered the kafta kebab, that having been my favorite Middle Eastern food forever; the menu (which I just tried to find online but Amira doesn't even seem to have a website!) claimed that it was a mix of lamb, beef, and spices. It was bone dry and there was no discernible flavor of coriander, cumin, garlic or any of the spices found in every kafta recipe ever. I couldn't taste anything other than black pepper - there was so much I could see flecks of ground black pepper throughout the grey overcooked ground beef - and supposed ground lamb, of which I suspect there was none. I was born in Lebanon and grew up mostly in the Middle East eating lamb all the time and I think most of you would agree there is a very obvious difference in both taste and texture between ground beef and ground lamb. I gave my friend a bite of it and he said it tasted exactly like a (beef) burger that he would grill at home, except overcooked. The sides that came with the entree were just okay; the tabbouleh was fresh - I prefer less parsley and more bulgar wheat, but that's a matter of taste, there was some "cabbage salad" that tasted like Miracle Whip with cabbage in it, there was more of the hummus, which was good and a nice dollop of incredibly tasty garlic sauce - probably saved this from a 1-star review. On top of this good-sized entree plate were 6 pale greasy things that looked like they might be French-fried jicama or something like that - so I tried one and couldn't tell what it was. Offered one to my friend, who also couldn't pinpoint the taste so we asked the server over and she said that they were indeed French fries. The reason we couldn't tell they were potatoes is because they were crisp on the INSIDE, meaning they weren't cooked through; they must have been dipped in warm oil for a couple of minutes and then slapped on top of the plate. Those same French-fry-things also made their way INTO my friend's gyro sandwich, which wasn't served in a traditional pita, nor it seemed on the bread from the hummus. It seemed more like a lavash-type of bread, almost as thin as a tortilla, and it was rolled tight like a burrito. Third weird quasi-Mexican food thing. In addition to the uncooked French fries in the gyro, there were also chunks of pickle - neither of us remembered those being mentioned on the menu as ingredients and I can't look it up...because no website. Seriously?!? I only ate half of my food and asked for a box. The server asked if I wanted two, and I replied that one would be fine, thanks. She replied that she would bring me two boxes, which she proceeded to drop on the table with the check and walked behind the counter and started playing or texting or something on her phone. I packed up my leftovers and we stared at our dirty plates for 5 or 6 minutes while she texted away before my friend finally got up and brought the bill back to her with credit card. Meh indeed.

Love this place. It's right across the street from our house, very affordable, and sooooo much flavor. Love the gyros and the lentil soup so far. The pizza looks pretty tasty. Very nice people and simple decor. Come here and eat!

It takes confidence to open up a Lebanese restaurant right next to the only other Lebanese restaurant in town. But Amira totally delivered. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious. Some of the best food in Golden.

  • Fred W.

I agree with an earlier reviewer that it takes guts to open up just a few doors down from Ali Baba - one of my long-time favorites. I decided to give these guys a chance anyway. I'm glad I did. I ordered the gyros plate and my friends ordered beef shawarma and lamb shank. Both were outstanding. In fact, the gyros were possibly the best I've ever had - they were so tender I could hardly believe it. The plate was beautifully arranged with hummus, garlic paste, salad, rice, etc. Homemade pita bread fresh from the oven arrived at the table periodically - delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. The decor was a bit diner-esk - I took a star off for that, but it was cancelled out by my six stars for the food (yes - off the scale). Plus there is a great view to the west. The price was quite reasonable and the portions generous. We got out for $47 before tip (3 entrees plus appetizer). I encourage you to give them a try.

Found this place on Yelp. I love Yelp! The sign on the wall said Capacity 30. So it's a small to Med size place. Good choice of menu items. I had Chicken Schwarma. A Fantastic mix of spices and flavors! Friendly staff! You gotta go! Wish I lived around here!!!

  • Ken H.

I really liked the food here. The interior is spartan but the staff is friendly.

Amazingly fresh food.... I am usually sceptical in trying new places, I am extremely glad that I did. The new owner is warm and very friendly :-) Their menu has a great variety.... You have got to give this place a try!

  • Sandeep D.

I had falafel sandwich and foul hummus. I must say this was one of the most authentic tasting lebanese I have tried. I grew up in saudi arabia, so I am always looking for the authenticity that reminds me of my childhood. This food made me happy. They bake fresh pita bread which is amazing. Very few places do that. Only negative is this place looks like they are short on staff. The older gentleman did his best to serve and be hospitable. I will definitely go back to this place if I am in the area.

    (4)
  • Joshua J.

This place makes the absolute most amazing pita I have ever tasted. They make each one fresh to order, and it arrives warm, tender, and delicately sweet. And then they make PIZZA ON IT. GET THE AMIRA PIZZA. Get it with chicken and have them add onions to it. Their shawarma chicken is so flavorful, well-marinaded, and tender. Coupled with the tahini, cheese, hot sauce, and the crunch of the onions, this is the most unique and delicious pizza I have ever tasted it. And at $7.54 after tax, it is an unbelievable deal. You'd be paying twice as much for a comparable pizza loaded with artificial ingredients and hydrogenated oils from Domino's. Seriously, I've been getting this pizza 2-3 times a week for the past several months. Their customer service and English could be a *little* better, but trust me, the food is worth it.

  • Kryssi J.

This place is so great! Best falafel I've ever had, and for only $5. Also delicious pizza, not to mention that it's the cheapest pizza in all of Colorado! Very friendly people.

    (5)
  • Sarah W.

This is so delicious and the owner was nice as can be. They have a pizza firing oven and my 5 year old thought it was so cool. So the owner fired up a huge pita for my son to watch it bake and then gave it to him. So generous. Not to mention our hummus, grape leaves, honey and yogurt pizza (try it!!) and falafel sandwich was enough food for 4 people, with leftovers, and only cost $24. Every single bite was delicious, too. Very authentic and carefully prepared. We stumbled onto this place when driving past, but we're going to come back over and over. They don't offer a kids menu, but we like to share with our son anyway and he really enjoyed the yogurt honey pizza.

  • Laurie M.

Chicken shawarma plate-arrived with tender chicken on a bed of whipped hummus- a side of cabbage salad, garlic sauce, pickled peppers and a sizable flat bread to soak it all up. Delicious!

  • Alex D.

Hate to say it but not as good as Ali baba up the way. They have been out of the baba ganouj (sp?) the last three times we've stopped by! Once at 11am. Forgot beverages, just poor service. Food is great when available. Sorry Amira.

  • Patrick O.

Went there with the family for lunch. The food was great all around. I had the gyro plate and it was cooked perfectly. Everyone loved their food. They were not busy at all since we were there at around 2 and the service was great.

  • Morgan D.

The food was amazing! The employees really cared. The restaurant was clean and want full of bells & whistles. Oh and the price is super fair for quality and quantity! No booze, tables are a little big for a party of two, and napkins are really thin, but those are the only negatives. We had dolmas, grape leaves, and they were wonderful. Not too mushy, perfectly warmed and not too greasy/oily! My boyfriend had the gyro plate, which was a ton of really delicious food. He said the gyro meat was some of the best he has had. I had the lamb shank, mmmmm! The meat was fall of the bone, but the lamb could have been trimmed better. The potatoes, onions and sauce were perfect and I would recommend instantly adding it all to the rice they give you. Last but not lease, you can really tell the purple that work there are really proud, grateful, and echoed to share their restaurants with you.

From a Lebanese person I admit this place is One of the best Lebanese restaurant in colorado .The new owner was very friendly and helpful and dedicated to his work and business he even was our server for sure ill be back again double thumbs up nice job

    (5)
  • Jason Z.

The new owner is really nice and hospitable. I had the zaatar/cheese pie and chicken shawarma. Both were delicious and made fresh. This is one of the few places in Golden and Denver where you can get pita bread right out of the oven. I love this place, will definitely come here again.

    (5)
  • Paul J.

Fantastic food, according to my wife, who is Lebanese. Unfortunately, the service is as slow as the food is good. Incredibly S-L-O-W. Restrooms had no soap. That said, it's worth the trip just for the sight of the fresh pita bread coming out of the oven puffed up like a Mylar balloon. No liquor license.

    (3)
  • Ben R.

The place is quite and the gyro is really good. The bread (pita) is so fresh and hot from the oven. I got a spinach pie that was also very tasty.

    (4)
  • Hassan H.

Fresh home baked pita. Get a plate. Good prices on everything best price on the wraps. Kafta, chicken and beef were good. Falafel was decent but still very good.

    (5)
  • Eric J.

Food was excellent. Ambiance is a bit strip mall-y, but could have been worse. Owner was super nice too.

    (5)
  • Greg S.

This one has some things that are great and some that are needing improvement. I will say that the food is excellent. Large portions and the hummus is made in house and is a little different every time. The lunch gyro plate is very good the tzatziki sauce tastes like tzatziki sauce and the garlic yogurt sauce is fantastic. The fresh made pitas really won me over for this place. The cons: front staff changes frequently and it shows when a new hostess/host is there. The lobby is simple tables and the chairs can be a crap shoot for wobbliness. sometimes its hard to order an extra pita, not sure why, I'll pay for it I promise.

  • Jess M.

New and clean atmosphere on a great corner location in Golden. We were greeted warmly and our appetizers came quickly. The lamb shank was tender and sides were fresh. Excellent hummus. A special home made bread is served with dinner. The new owner was our waiter and obviously is taking great pride in the establishment. Looking forward to the owner's home made baklava coming soon!

  • Red Robyn R.

Really great food, wonderful staff. Wish the ambience was a little more like Alli Baba's up the street. Very fair prices. I would definitely go again

  • Adam D.

I don't get the 4-5 stars?? Came here because of all the yelp reviews. This place is half as good as Ali babas, yanni's, or Petes in uptown Denver. We were the only people in there on a Friday at 6pm? The setting is plan and cafeteria style tables. Our "server" hid in a corner text messaging, managing to ignore his only customers. The hummus is good, the gyro meat is great, the veggie plate wasn't bad....but compared to Ali Baba's (literally next door) not even close on every front. And it's more expensive at Amira's....pffft. You'll find me at Ali Babas on the regular.

  • Lari-Ann R.

For $4.99, you get a 12" pizza with all sorts of middle eastern toppings. The crust is distinct and delicious. Forget Woody's, and the tourist trap, this place has got the goods. Their middle Eastern food is great too.

    (5)
  • Ana M.

This place truly has authentic Lebanese food. And everything tasted delicious, was very fresh, and the crusty, warm pita...oh my God. Plus, the new owner is incredibly friendly and kind. This is my new favorite restaurant in the Denver area

    (5)
  • Mario C.

For someone that has never eaten middle eastern food before I was blown away. I have never tasted, like at this place unbelievably good. First time I was here I had lamb and ground beef mixed together which was delicious. Tonight I had the gyros with hummus and once again I was blown away. Staff.....incredible!!

  • Danielle H.

Second time back in two weeks, this place is so good and staff is so friendly. It was busy when we walked in, but they were very prompt. Can accommodate for gluten free and vegetarian.

    (5)
  • Donna S.

Had lunch with a friend of mine here last week. The chicken kebab, which I ordered, looked delicious but tasted like the cook failed to clean the grill before starting my order. It had a burnt flavor. Update: the great manager no longer works here. I won't be back.

  • Jenifer K.

We went to Amira tonight for dinner. It was our first time there and we will be back! The food was delicious! I had the lamb kabob and my fiancé had the meat combo. Both were prepared perfectly. The meals were served with hummus (excellent) and fresh pita, which was visually spectacular and yummy - warm, chewy, soft, and flavorful. It was a lot of food, but we managed to fit in some baklava, a perfect end to a great meal. I highly recommend this place!

    (5)
  • Amb O.

The new crew in Golden. Homemade, fresh pitas, fabulous chicken shwarma. Decent entrees, served with fries, which I find odd. Also served with mixed hot pickled peppers. Those peppers are tasty. Try it! The fresh pita comes out looking like a giant rugby ball!

  • Tricia B.

Stopped on a whim after climbing. We did take away and ate by the river down in town. The owner gave great advice on our food order of falafel and hummus. The food was amazing, quick and the pita bread was as big as a pizza! Fresh and amazing. We will come here again.

    (5)
  • Justin S.

This place is awesome! Their portion size is big so watch how much you order but I think it's great value. There hummus is amazing. Also, I think their lentil soup is dialed in. We will definitely be coming back

  • Graham K.

We really liked this place and yes, we usually go to Alibaba to scratch the gyro itch. Weird that the two places are so close. I'm going with 4 stars now just because I'm trying to be more stingy with the 5 star reviews - but the Gyro plate here was outstanding and i LOVE the freshly baked pita. Service was really good. As others have said, not much ambiance, odd sized tables, etc, but who the hell cares when the food is so good? I have to say that after years of going to Alibaba and generally getting great food and service i felt a bit like i was cheating, but next time I'm in the area and have that gyro craving, Amira is where i will go again.....

  • Stephanie R.

We were looking for an easy and quick lunch after having our 4 Runner upgraded at Slee automotive nearby. The people who work there are very welcoming and helpful. The food was really good and the portions were huge-we took more than half of it home. I ordered a spinach pizza to take home and the gentleman took great pride in telling me about how they make it. Looks great can't wait to try it. Great little place.

    (5)
  • Holly S.

This place is fantastic! My husband tries to trick me sometimes and go into Ali Baba Grill but I can tell instantly. Ali Baba has NOTHING on Amira. Do yourself and favor and head into Amira instead. The food here is amazing! We purchase the gyro plate and chicken Shawarma and the food is flavorful, cooked perfectly, comes with the perfect sides and we always have plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. We love the fresh pitas grilled on an open flame. Mmmmm! I don't write reviews very often but this place rocks and deserved another five star review!

    (5)
  • Lori S.

Great atmosphere, wonderful service. The food is outstanding! Our party had the gyros, chicken kebab, and falafel. Entrees are enormous.

    (5)
  • Josh S.

Excellent food! Excellent service. The portions are huge and very reasonably priced. We've tried all of the kabobs and the pizza and have been impressed with it all ! We'll be back time and time again.

  • Tom D.

WOW this place has amazing food, and pizza bread. My wife got chicken shawarma and I got kafta. We also got their cheapest pizza to try, forgot the name of it. The dishes came with huge fresh baked pitas. The hummas and garlic paste were top notch. This place is new and hands down better than the more established Alibaba next door.

    (5)
  • Bertie W.

Really good Middle-Eastern food. Much better than the other Middle-Eastern restaurant in the same shopping center.

    (5)
  • Dan L.

An unexpected surprise! Today my partner and I came across an unassuming middle eastern restaurant in a strip mall and decided to take a chance. The food was perfectly spiced, beautifully presented, and the fresh pita was heavenly. This place is definitely worth your time and I know we will make the trip from Denver to Golden to enjoy this gem once again.

    (4)
  • Matthew F.

Overall an excellent experience. The food was awesome and pretty darn cheap. I went with coworkers and we all stayed quiet because we were so focused on the food. The only downside was that the service was slightly lacking and I would suggest they filter their water.

    (5)
  • Azar S.

We have been regulars at Ali Baba next door and decided to give Amira's a try. I am glad we did. The food is great, service is quick and the fresh pan bread is mouth watering. Not as fancy as Ali Babas but absolutely worth the eat! Enjoy it!

  • Carissa H.

Very flavorful, large portions, different yet delicious pita. It was my first time eating here, but I will definitely be coming back. I thought it was much better than ali baba

  • John G.

Most delicious Mediterranean food I've had since I moved to Colorado. Everything is fresh tasting, the hummus and fresh bread are intoxicating. We would eat here any day for any meal. It's hard to find good restaurants on the west side of town. This is one of them. The Decour is nothing to speak of but the food makes up for it.

    (5)
  • Jeff A.

Takes a lot of guts to move in so close to an already established Mediterranean Restaurant. Especially a great place like Ali Babas. However this place is extremely impressive. The fact that they make the pita bread on order is awesome. Freshly baked pita to pair with their awesome hummus and baba ganoush. They also have the tastiest gyro meat I have ever had. Honestly have never had a tastier gyro sandwich in my life. Not a huge fan of pickles, but they blended in perfectly inside their sandwhich. The decor isn't anything too exciting and the menu isn't extremely varied. However everyone I came here with agreed it was the best Mediterranean food they have ever had and that is the most important part.

  • Megan R.

I have now eaten here twice. The food is very good and service is too. They are very appreciative of your business. The quality and price are great. I love the flat bread, huge poofy serving with tasty hummus. My toddler likes the pizza which is a bonus too. Last night I ordered take out gyros sandwiches, very tasty and cheap. Far better than Ali Babas overly salty version in my opinion.

    (4)
  • Sasha L.

Ate dinner here last night and it was amazing. Huge warm pitas, delicious babaghanoush and hummus! My husband had the gyro plate and I had the kafta plate and they were both very tasty. Prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to go back! So glad we found this place- best food in Golden by far!

    (5)
  • Joel R.

Food was amazing! Service was horrible. I will order their food to go, in the future, but I doubt I'll ever sit down to eat again.

    (4)
  • Wendy K.

Got a gyros sandwich to go. It was the best, easiest to eat gyro sandwich I have ever had. Very garlicky.

    (4)
  • P J.

Fresh, quality ingredients result in great flavors. These guys don't cut corners and it shows: tabouleh has got just the right amount of lemon juice rather than being smothered in citric acid as so many other places do. Babaganoush is excellent with subtle flavors of charred eggplant and not much oil. Finally the hummus is not overpowered with tahini but is freshly made with chickpeas. The final dish was a lentil soup made with chicken stock delivering warm filling flavor. Thoroughly recommend esp for large groups as there is plenty of space as well.

It rocks. Plain and simple. I'm having gyro sandwich withdrawals. Must get my fix tonight.

  • Timeri T.

Never before have my taste buds been delighted at a restaurant in Golden - until now! I absolutely love this food. The lamb kebobs, falafel, and cheese pie were perfect. The decor leaves a lot to be desired, but I can overlook that based on the food quality. Please patron this restaurant so we can keep one tasty place in this town!

    (5)
  • Weinhold C.

This is easily the best lebanese food in the area and probably the best food overall in Golden. Even if you don't eat a lot of lebanese, I challenge you to order the chicken shwarma or gyro plate and not be impressed! Their hummus and pitas are amazing and the portions are huge. The food at Amira grill is almost too good to handle. Every bite will leave you yearning for more. Don't waste your time anywhere else!

Our experience here could only be described as awkward. Saturday evening about 6:30, we were a party of five. We arrive to an 80% full restaurant. Two tables were pushed together for us in front of the window, the tables are kind of large and we are all looking at the parking lot. Two used glasses were on one of the tables and sat there through our entire meal. We sat for a few minutes without menus, those were delivered, she said she'd be back to take our drink order. A few minutes later she asks what we'd like to drink and we order two appetizers. Drinks are delivered. Appetizers come out a few minutes later and are set in the middle of the huge table we have been given. Pita to go with appetizers is delivered shortly after, two large pitas on one tray. But we have no silverware or plates. We asked for silverware and received 7 sets (five is not a big number to count). We were never given plates to eat the appetizers on, awkward. As we shuffle two bowls of appetizers from one end of this huge table to the other over and over. Four of the menus were taken away like maybe we needed the space, awkward now you have to remember what you were going to order. Waitress came back a few minutes later to get our dinner orders, we all ordered by number. Meals were delivered two at a time and food was interesting although fries were supposed to come with each meal according to the menu there were no fries present but the portions were large and lots of different things on the plates. One more pita was set in the middle of the table. We had to ask for drink refills and even though hubby's glass was empty a refill wasn't offered nor was water. Food was good, I would have liked to ask questions about what I was eating but every time we wanted anything it was like begging for someone's attention. After we flagged the waiter down to get boxes we were told the bill would be available at the cash register, hubby paid and we left. It would have been nice to have felt like we were not wasting the server's time; it seems they could not get away from our table fast enough. A willingness to talk about a cuisine we were eating for the first time would have been welcome. Dinner was $12 a plate plus drinks and appetizers, silverware that was bent and thin tissue paper napkins seemed inappropriate. Amira will probably not hit the top of my restaurant options real soon.

Absolutely delicious. We were planning on going to a place down the road for dinner, but saw this place and tried it out on a whim. Best decision we have ever made. We had the mixed meat kabob and vegetarian platters. Everything was very fresh and tasted great. The bread was amazing. Servings were generous. Service was very prompt and polite. We will definitely be going back!

Saw this new restaurant while driving by a few weeks ago and decided to order take out tonight. I got the vegetarian plate. It comes with fries but I asked for a salad instead. The woman taking the order was agreeable and said she would add a fatoush salad. I got there and she showed me how she put the dish together. It looked delicious and was huge! I learned that they make homemade pita bread. It was still steaming hot when she handed over the order (it didn't get home intact) Everything was fresh and homemade. The falafel was the best I've had in Denver. A highly recommend restaurant.

Fresh pita and amazing flavor. As a longtime Golden resident, Amira Grill is my new favorite in town!

I had the chicken shwarma plate for lunch. The shwarma was very good and to my liking. The portion size was good, and the pita was warm and fresh. The hummus was definitely to my liking. The french fries were a tad underdone and I think the cooking oil was a bit under temp. However, that's the only negative. The service was excellent and I'll happily stop here again the next time I'm in the area.
