Because of my work I do 5 to 6 catered lunches and dinners a year. Usually for these events I like to get a simple buffet set up with a few choices for folks to choose from. In the past I have used Chipotle but they seem to be getting more and more expensive as of late. So this time I decided to try our garbanzo. The food was really good. The chicken was moist, the humus delicious, great falafel, great sauces. And when ordering for 10 people they give you enough to easily feed 15... so the, price at $100 for a group of 10 was really fair. The only problem we has was they forgot to send our desert, but when I called the store, they were far too apologize and sent me a $20 gift card to make up for it. I couldn't be happier with the service they provide.

Fast, healthy, and flavorful food. Garbanzo has a place in my heart for Mediterranean craving fix. You want a free sample of a falafel, check. You want everything in a pita, check. Lots of veggies, check. A well rounded meal for under $10, check check. Parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare when busy so lunch maybe a bit difficult in this plaza but when you have a craving that needs to be met you will brave the horrific parking lot to get it. I may not come often but when I come I'm pleased every time. Yummy!

First, let me say that I like Garbanzo in general. The Araphaoe location in the DTC has always been a good lunch experience. The Colorado and Yale location has always been clean an efficient. This location at Cherry Creek has deteriorated significantly in the past 6 months. I'm not sure what happened because it use to be very good. However, the best way to describe this location as dirty and disorganized. It's like the general manger quit and they forgot to hire a new one. This location does not offer free falafel most of the time, even when you're standing in line on a Sunday afternoon for more then 5 minutes. The line take forever as people at the counter never seem to be at the right station. I understand working at fast food isn't the most interesting job, but how long should I have to wait as employees constantly take off and put new gloves on because they're moving from food prep to the cash register and back again. Lastly, the floor is kinda disgusting, especially around the wast bins at the entrances. For the most part, I'm just disappointed because this location used to be good. I'm not sure if it's an ownership problem or a hiring problem, but I'd go down to Yale before going back to this location.

Mediterranean food quick. Fast-food version. Has all the familiar Mediterranean cuisine. Nice to have choices others than burgers & it offers a nice variety. Friendly employees too that actually seemed interested in helping. Definitely would go back.

I was in the mood for mediterranean, and after yelping around for a place to eat, this was our pick. All I can say is it was...not great. Service was pleasant and very friendly. They give you a sample falafel when you first walk in. How nice! But it turned out to be kind of dry. Definitely not the best falafel I've had... So, Garbanzo must be some sort of Chipotle knock-off because the ordering system is exactly the same. You can choose your wrap- pita or a tortilla. You can also choose your proteins, toppings, and sauces...but it sounds like they each cost some $$. I found the taste of the food to be blah & bland. It most certainly did not "wow" my tastebuds. I don't think this was very authentic or tasty. In fact, I think my stomach was a little upset with me after this meal. Sorry, Garbanzo, I really wanted to like you but I don't think I'll be returning.

My second favorite falafel shop in Denver. The food is not as good as Falafel King, but it is quicker and has a more Chipotle like style. The ambiance is good and the staff is friendly. They are going for an Israel style falafel experience (the owners are Israeli), but their effort to be more high-end takes away some of my favorite parts of eating falafel.

I have been to Garbanzo many many times and tonight I was disappointed. I BRAGGED to my gf about the free falafel when we walked in.... Yeah not even a friendly greeting as usual... the falafel they offered was cold and dry...BUMMER! I ordered Chicken Shwarma and she the Steak... both were incredibly dried, as was the rice! My lettuce was wilted and brown.... Surprised the food was even served. Had to ask for new falafel and, though, I enjoy crispy they were practically burnt I wouldnt stop going to Garbanzo ever but perhaps this location because on a SLOW night they were clearly not on their game!

Falafel as you walk in, yes please! I love Garbanzo's period. This a quick lunch or dinner spot and vegan heaven! I almost always get the plate which comes with a pita (not vegan) so I ask for more falafel. I recently stepped outside my comfort zone and tried the Laffa which makes it into a delicious burrito like wrap which was delish. Everything here is great, the chips, the hummus, it's all great and incredibly fresh. If you have read other reviews of this location you are well aware of their parking situation. It is THE WORST. And to make matters worse there is construction behind the building so it all just becomes a nightmare. Back to Garbanzo and my last hint. Complete the survey! I do it every time so I can get my choice of a free pop or 5 falafels or side of chips. Now that is a deal!

  • Casey P.

Delicious! Free sample of falafel when you walk in. Also got to create a custom gyro with falafel, lamb and beef. SO YUMMY! Definitely will be coming back here :)

Fresh and tasty ingredients. Helpful staff that seem to know what they are doing and get you through the line quickly. Usually the only thing that slows me down is the people that are in front of me that want to try a small bite of everything on menu. What I'm saying inside "I know what I want can I just go ahead of you, pppppllllllleeeeeaaasssseeee!" I don't say that out loud, I just wait patiently. You get something for free when you walk in the door - falafel. Not many places give you anything for free. I've got the sauces down to a science. I have to agree with everyone - the parking does suck. Especially around lunch time when you have people in the Panera drive-thru and then the construction on the north side of the complex. But once you get inside it's all good and the falafel turns your frown upside down (or right side up as the case might be).

Overall I like Garbanzo's. I like that they offer you a falafel to eat while you're deciding what to order. I like that you can get your goodies on a plate or wrapped in a pita. I like that they have all kinds of salads and sauces. I like that the pitas are fresh baked. And I like the flavors of the food they make. So, I have to say in general I'm a fan. With that said, parking for this location blows. And sucks. The last time I went I think it took me just as long to park as it did to order and get my food. However, this isn't Garbanzo's fault. So if you are driving here for lunch let me please ask this of you - for the love of all that's good stop making three point turns to turn around in the middle of this lot. We all hate you for it. K.Thx.

I love this place! The falafel is great. I enjoy making my own salad and they even give you a pita and hummus with it. How can you go wrong? It's the assembly line concept so you can control exactly what you get which is great for picky eaters. There's nothing not to love- its quick, healthy, and flavorful.

I've been working in the neighborhood over the last 10 days and have been to this particular Garbanzo twice. I am fairly impressed with the friendliness/attentiveness of the staff. They are genuine !!!!!...that will always make me want to return. As for the food..well...just ok. I tried the Gyro the most recent time I was in yesterday and felt that the only flavor I was tasting was from the garden salad and Tzatziki sauce. The meat was flavorless to me. If I am in the area again I will come back and try something else......hopefully that will convince me to visit another location closer to my home but it will be tough sledding trying to match the " vibe " that this staff evokes when you are here

The falafels were okay, I have had better. This place is like a mediterranean style chipotle. You pick out how you want your food served (bowl, pita, etc..), the meat, the veggies and the sauce(s) etc.. I really do love places like these, because it does make it easier to eat healthy and make good choices and the food taste great. They offer up free samples of the falafel, and since I had a coupon for a free drink and falafels -- I had a good share amount of them.

  • Evan B.

It is like a Mediterranean chipotle. Pick a format (pita, lafa (tortilla) or bowl. Pick the main dish Falfel, shwarma etc, and fill it with the rest. I was living large on a work Per diem so I opted for the Lafa, to my surprise they did not use real lafa bread they used a tortilla, but it worked sorta. No surprise to my followers I went for the falafel, and then filled it with pickles, and pickled eggplant cucumber salad and tahinni. I could have put much more in it, like tabuli or pesto, but that would not have seemed right or been traditional. I got a the combo they sold hard on that came with thick cut potato chips. My falafel burrito was pretty good aside from the poor rolling that resulted in a rupture. The Tahini and pickles went with with the most yet crisp falafel, it also was not too greasy. The falafel itself is some of the best I have had outside of Israel. In the end with drink and side my bill was right at my $10 per deim, however if you order well you can get out for $6. I would go again if only there were one in my home town.

I'd give this a 3.5 rating if I could. Overall the pitas are good, if you get enough steak or chicken (which I did Not tonight) Sadly they can be terribly messy. I know that is a potential to some degree, but this one feel completely apart. If you're not prepared with enough napkins you'll have sauce dripping down your shirt sleeves. Parking is Terrible at this location. Even at 7:30pm I could not find a spot. Short staffed made the wait frustrating for someone hungry.

So, who doesn't love a fast food place? I know I do, but usually said fast food is greasy, not healthy and certainly rarely good for you. Garbanzo is just that place. Fast food Mediterranean. And it is seriously yum. I know, I know, it may not be authentic, but somedays, Garbanzo simply must be had. A quick lunch or dinner, where you can have your choice of falafel (friend chickpeas), chicken, steak or a mixture o ffalarma( chicken/steak and falafe)l. You have the option of ordering a plate, pita. laffa or garbanzo greens. I have tried the garbanzo greens, plate and pita, but never the laffa. I am happy that they have the option of whole wheat or white pitas, as I prefer the whole wheat pita. Hummus, lettuce, rice, chicken, with vegetable salad and a ranch sauce topped with cilantro is yummy. I know we tend to pooh-pooh anything labeled fast food and we prefer independent, non-chain restaurants, but Garbanzo's is on my list in a good way. Good for a quick, healthy lunch or a tasty dinner. Three cheers for Garbanzo! And during the spring/summer, they currently have a bomb mint lemonade and the pomegranate lemonade, its sweeter cousin, are to live for. Don't miss out.

I love Garbanzo and on my other review of the one in the highlands you will see a better score, this place how ever gets three stars because my pita was ice cold when I received it and for those of you who know, cold pita= icky

  • Dorian H.

Oooo delicious! I was a little overwhelmed by the menu and all of the variations that were possible. I love that you can get a plate, pita or salad. And on the days where I am feeling especially motivated to stay on my diet, the calorie information on the menu board is really awesome. The portions are big for the price. I'm excited to get back and try some new combos of deliciousness. I'm sure everyone's said it a billion times, but truly, the parking sucks here. SUCKS! Would consider parking a mile away and walking over before trying to maneuver in that hell hole again.

Just had a tasty, quick and inexpensive meal here. My five stars are weighted to the fact that I was impressed with the food for less than $10 including my drink. My pita was hot and fresh and made every bite a pleasure. I filled it with chicken, lettuce, rice, some thing I can't pronounce and grilled eggplant. I mixed two of the sauces on the employee's recommendation and wasn't disappointed. The mixture of the mild white sauce and a spicy chili sauce was really good. I know I really enjoyed a meal when I'm finished, full and yet still want more. My only issue is the one I have with almost all build your own ______ food chains. There isn't really a good sense of what goes best with what and you generally have to ask at each stage of the food assembly conveyor belt, what they think is a good pick. The employees were nice and helpful (like most everyone in Denver) and gave me good advice. I will be going back soon!

Great little joint for a quick lunch if you're in the mood for mediterranean. Food was fresh and the girl working the line was super helpful. I think her name was Tracy? She helped me along the way and explained everything. Think cafeteria style line where you pick and choose. Good stuff!

For chain lunch, this place is top notch. Much better then the usual Chipotle, Qdoba, etc. Garbanzo's has a much larger selection and each item has less then 1,000 calories. Not a bad deal for lunch. All of their ingredients are delicious. Their Falafel and Babaganoush are both very standouts and can be added to any menu item. They also have additional add ons so there are plenty of combo's that can always keep things interesting. Great place and well worth the 15 minute drive. I will be back!

  • Dave B.

The latest addition to the chain. Bigger. Much larger interior space than the one near DU. More crowded. A continuous stream of customers pouring in the doors. Same tasty food. How can an omnivore love falafel so much?

  • Ken V.

Fresh and fast. Been there twice, both times a salad with chicken/falafel.. not that I don't like to try new dishes, but I just wanted a salad. Everything was tasty. Staff was friendly and welcoming. For fast food greek salads, I'd come here again.

Wow, this place was an unsuspected solid four stars. Just stopped in for lunch and couldn't have had a better experience . As a vegetarian that just moved here from Austin , I was missing the abundance of vegetarian/ vegan friendly restaurants that are found all over that city. I was surprised to find that Garbanzo had sauteed portabella mushrooms as a "meat option" . They were delsihe, and along with all the other tasty vegetables and pickled goodness I couldn't even finish my meal, ( and this was after a hard workout ; I was starving). Taking the rest home for later. oh did I mention they also have several flavored Ice teas, and the employees throw lots of samples your way. This place rocks. My only criticism is that for a first time customer , the menu is a little complicated, and it was hard for me to figure out what came with what.

Have you ever been to a Chipotle Restaurant? Well, this place has the same service concept. You walk in, get in line, and order what you want on your plate or pita with the items they have on the line. Their motto is "A Freshness Oasis." The first time I walked in they gave me a free falafel so I was like "WHOA! Sweet deal." So, my friend and I decided to give it a shot. The falafel was moist and properly seasoned. I got the falafel plate with tabbouleh, hummus, pickled cabbage and roasted eggplant and salad. Personally, I did not like the tabbouleh because it was made with couscous instead of bulgur... XP. Customer service is friendly, fast and efficient and the restaurant is clean and kept tight. PS-They have Quince Iced Tea! :)

  • Jason L.

Garbanzo is such an awesome alternative to fast food. This is my go-to for a change of pace when it comes to lunch. The hummus, baba ganoush and chicken are always solid.

    (4)
  • Megan T.

I love garbanzo! It's my new obsession. I get the hummus garbanzo greens which is low in calories but yummy with the whole wheat pita. The parking lot is a DISASTER though so try to go off hours, if possible.

    (5)
  • Evan A.

Garbanzo Mediterranean = Chipotle Mexican food. It's not bad, but not great. Prices are kind of high for what you get, considering most of it is rice or carbs that fill the pita.

    (2)
  • Andy S.

Denver loves these places where you pick a bowl or bread, rice beans, meat, veggies, and sauce. This one is good. Why don't they have lamb meat for gyros? There are some really high-pitched voiced girls that work here. Its funny. Like the higher pitched the girl thanks you, the better customer service it is I guess.

Shut up! This is a CHAIN?!?!?! Who does Mediterranean chain food? THIS place does! Falafel, chicken, pickled cabbage, hummus, babaganoush, salad, and other choices that can be switched up for too many combinations to count while standing in line...how can you pass up at least a try. Amazingly filling and healthy. Enough in the plate for half now/half later. Falafel teaser while standing in line, and, for me, always a great experience with employees is a great way to keep the line moving. Colors are fun and peppy, and I can always find a table during the lunch hour. T'ain't so bad, right? This is not the kind of place that you hang out and get work done in...so, no wifi is a non-issue. And since the lunch crowd wants in to get out - without being rushed - and head back to work, it's an atmosphere that has a comfortable hum. Parking is a crap shoot during lunch, but the long walk to and from your car from the other side of the building isn't a bad thing, unless you're in silly heels on a snowy day.

This place should be called Gar-BOZO because they run it like a bunch of circus clowns. Reading Maple L.'s 1-star review below was like a bad case of deja vu--my experience with this place was nearly identical and equally as horrible. I do not have a Garbanzo's back home (thank God...) so you'd think they'd help a girl out and explain the menu, but no they don't. But what do you expect? It's a fast food joint, right? So I decide that I wanted to get just a half a pita so I ask if I can get the kid's meal. "Sure, sure yes ma'am" assembly lineman #1 tells me. So I move down the line and I'm asked if I want this or that, that or this, cat or dog, etc. Everything seemed fine until I got to assembly lineman #3 who just so happens to be the cashier. He asked me if I was getting a side of falafel--I honestly don't know where he got that idea, he just pulled it out of his ass somewhere or maybe it's just their way of saying "Did you want fries with that?" I answered no and said I was having a kids meal and if it came with a drink and he said no it doesn't so I asked him what was in the kids meal. He said and I quote, "Technically it comes with apples or cookies and milk...but technically you can't get the kids meal because it is a KIDS meal and you'll have to get a half a pita meal." Of course at this point I was annoyed and what escalated the problem was that he was one of those annoying people on the job who just couldn't even give a shit about your opinion. You could just see it all over this face. He's probably the type who'd just as soon let you poo in your pants because the restroom is for customers only. Did I get an apology? Even a fake one? NOPE. He just said okay so you want the half a pita meal then? At this point I didn't really care about semantics I just wanted a drink and a pita. He put my pita in a to-go bag even though I was planning to eat in and I could just see he didn't want me there. Anyway, I checked out and in that split second I was so irritated my appetite just vanished. I made my drink then I went right back up to the counter to say I'd lost my appetite and I really just wanted my money back. He did give me my money back, but not before he dramatically threw my order away into the trash like he was going for a 3-pointer. He never apologized and didn't even really look me in the eye at all. I left and I went to the shop next door and guess what? I was so pissed I actually asked them if they were owned by the same person and they said YES! OMG I could have just puked right there I was so disgusted. It was like I was stuck in the twilight zone or something--episode titled, "The Customer is Always Wrong."

After going to Cafe Rio (next door), yesterday I realized I didn't review my beloved Garbanzo yet! Although I have been to quite a few Garbanzo, this is my main stomping grounds. I love how quick and lovely they are (although I've gotten a little attitude from one guy once....but whatever). I usually get a pita (fresh), with chicken and such. Their chips are aaaaaaamazing! (And they give you a HUGE pile of them!) And of course, I've got a frequent guest card there.

I absolutely LOVE Garbanzo's! I sincerely ate there 4 times in one week. It's beginning to make me think that I have a problem. I always, always get the same thing (because I love that you can customize everything). My signature is a white pita stuffed with hummus, light on the lettuce, babaganoush, rice, chicken shwarma, feta, and their Mediterranean garlic sauce. I love the friendly staff (especially the ones who remember me...I get so tired of eating "mall food" on my lunch breaks) and it's always wicked quick to get down the assembly food line. All in all, LOVE IT. Sure, it's not awesome shwarma, but everything tastes fresh and it's always hot, so that's all I care about. When I want great shwarma, I'll go to a place that's not quick-service.

I'm a huge Garbanzo fan. This is a great concept and I know they are expanding all over the place. Please get one out by my work (Anschutz Medical Campus) soon!! For seven bucks you get a full plate assembled however you want, with choice of chicken, beef and/or falafel. You get rice and a bunch of different salads if you want them, and there are several different sauces/dressings to top your meal. Also you get a poofy pita in either white or wheat that rolls off of an awesome pita-making machine. It's almost like the mini donut machines which are so near and dear to my heart. Anyway... it's fast, inexpensive, very healthy, and you even get a free falafel to sample while you're waiting in line. This location is always crowded but they keep the line moving and there are plenty of tables. Whether I eat in or grab it to go, I'm a regular at Garbanzo now.

As small chains go, Garbanzo is one of my favorites. I doubt if it's any more "traditional" Mediterranean than Chipotle is traditional Mexican however I don't really care. Excellent quality, flavorful ingredients and friendly, efficient staff make Garbanzo a winner in my book. I like the fact that because of all of the "add-ons" and sauces you can order/configure your meal differently every time. Some days I'm in a Falafel sandwich with hummus, tomato cucumber salad and garlic sauce kind of mood - other days I want my Falafel on a plate with rice and red hot sauce (pita on the side). You get the idea. I'm also a fan of I watching my meal being constructed. I'm happy to see that Garbanzo is expanding. The newest location in Glendale seats more than the DU local and has more parking.

Just discovered this place! I wanted to sit down and eat and cool off, relax while having a rough day. Wow! As soon as I walked in, I was handed a felafel sample, and it was so good, that's what I ordered. I was initially confused about how to order, but it was quickly explained to me so I got a pita with felafels inside. Then I went down the line and the friendly people gave me extras for inside the pita. The cool veggie salad was terrific. I sampled 2 sauces to help my decision on that. I got a nice pomegranate green iced tea and had a seat. Lunch was delicious and I even felt healthier eating it. I was checked on 3 times, asking if all was well. And it was! A gal came by and took my iced tea cup and gave me a free refill! And the fellow who first gave me a sample came by to ask how I liked everything. They make everything fresh, and you can tell. They are obsessed with customer service! Everyone was not only super friendly, they were knowledgeable about ingredients. As an older woman, I sometimes feel ignored by young waitstaff, but the opposite was true here, and I appreciated it. It was a refreshing change. The decor is charming and light & airy ( I like the cool green hanging light fixtures). I'd recommend this to everyone. It was inexpensive, just like fast food in that regard - but unlike fast food in every other regard. I came in cranky and overheated, and left feeling cared for and well nourished. I'm going to be a repeat customer, that's for sure!

It must of been a sign. We were thinkng of hitting up this new spot last night anyway. Little did we know that there was a free dinner coupon waiting for us in the mailbox when we got home. Perfect! I have a crush on Falafel King, so this place needed to impress....the verdict. Indeed it did. As we walked in, hell even before we could open the door they offered up a piping hot falafel. What a way to greet someone. First impressions make all the difference. First taste.. Wow. Crispy, hot, and moist on the inside. As stated in other reviews it's kind of like a Chipolte layout with a similar style menu. I had the pita stuffed with falafel, hummus, baba ganoush, rice, pickled cabbage, red chile, and a garlic tahini, the wife had a bowl with a little bit of everything, which was nice because it was our first time here and it was cool to be able to taste everything. It was all really good. Nice and fresh and the falafel wasnt to greasey. I'm glad this place finally moved to this location. I'm sure I'll become a regular. SOO GOOD!

SO excited that this location is finally open-especially since I can get there in under 5 minutes from my apartment :) By far the best fast food around. Went in with my $10 free tasting money for their soft opening. This place is huge, parking was a nightmare but it was a free night so what can one expect? Service was great, everyone who worked there was super friendly and efficient. My plate was more than enough to stuff my belly AND have leftovers to bring home...and the leftovers from here always are great! Usually I just get falafel because it's so delicious here but my boyfriend convinced me to get some steak as well and it was so good! A few extra pita's to take home and my plate was a great snack the next day. I will definitely be coming back here more often.

After a nice long bike ride my bf and I were starving and felt good about going some place "healthy". He got the chicken pita plate and I got a plate filled with all sorts of goodness: chicken, hummus, pickled vegetables, etc. After chowing down for a good 5 min, he pulls out some raw chicken from his pita, so I started poking around my chicken and found that it wasn't all cooked either. We managed to eat the other stuff without getting too grossed out. Before leaving my bf went up to the counter to tell someone about it, but no one would acknowledge him, even though there wasn't a line, so we left. I would consider giving it another try because the cooked food was really tasty and priced right.

OH NO. I felt like this when I first discovered Chipotle. So conflicted, because yes, it's a chain, but it's so good! I want to find something not to like about Garbanzo's, but it's not easy. They had me when they immediately pacified me with a falafel sample while I was waiting in line, because I was super deliriously hangry and there was a bit of a holdup due to a customer in front of me making a giant fuss about the parking lot (which I'm sure the people behind the counter have absolutely no control over, just in case you're reading this, sir.) Pickled cabbage and eggplant, crunchy and not-too-greasy falafel, hummous and tahini dressing and giant salads with lots of fresh ingredients....this is what you will find at Garbanzo's. I have gotten the chicken and the steak salads and they are massive and delicious. Plus, they come with a pita bread (whole wheat available, just in case you're wondering) that you can easily make a sandwich with the next day when you're eating the leftover portions (which there will be, unless you're really hungry.) So that's about $7 for two meals -- two meals that are infinitely fresher and healthier than any fast food joint -- and two meals that are infinitely easier (and probably cheaper) than if you had made them yourself. And I do love me a good value. Anyway, since I hate to be favorably reviewing a giant corporate monster chain, I had to find a few things to keep myself from giving them five stars. #1 - the sickly green color scheme is nauseating #2 - way too cold inside #3 - there are two within a few miles of each other on Colorado, but then relatively few anywhere else, which is odd and inconvenient. And, of course, if you're looking for authentic mediterranean food, don't come here. That's just silly. But if you're in a hurry and want something healthy and cheap and fast....yes.

Fast, affordable healthy choice. Service? Seriously, it is fast food. All I want is accuracy, speed and cleanliness. Unlike previous posters I have never had bad experience with employees. Great iced tea choices however, they lack flavor why? Wish they had wifi. Received an email promotion from garbanzos offering 10% discount. Seriously, lame promo. If I am looking for authentic I keep driving south and go to yahala.

We were SO excited to try this place after a friend recommended it and we read the reviews here. I love Med food so I thought we might have found our new favorite spot to eat since it's closer to work. Not so. We got to-go since we were in a hurry to get home. I ordered a lot of different things so we could get a feel for how everything tasted. PROS: Friendly staff. Answered questions about the menu and items there. Good selection of items. Falafels and babaganoush were not bad at all though the falafels were dry. Pitas were AWESOME. CONS: Food was not truly fresh as they make it out to be. Tabuleh salads I've had elsewhere are bright green from how fresh they are, the parsley in this was dark and fading, and tomatoes slimy. The bulgur wheat tasted like cardboard. I kept wondering if I was munching on my recycled paper plate. They were about the same color and consistency. The Tahini was awful, just bland and nasty. On to the meat-- the "shwarma" meat is about like the grilled meat you get at Qdoba or Chipotle, not much taste to it and cheap cuts. Mine (chicken) was half burnt and half uncooked. How is that possible? My husband got the steak shwarma and he said it was worse than Qdoba's! Like most men, he went and found a bottle of A1 to put on it, and that "fixed" it but he refused to eat anything else. And the add-on "kebabs" we ordered were $3.99 ea and you get about 4 tiny chunks of charred meat with some peppers and charred onions to go with. I can go burn my own meat for far cheaper. Very disappointed. Tzatziki? Fail. This stuff is not made fresh. It is chock full of emulsifiers and preservatives, like carrageenan, and if you Google this, it is scary stuff. I'm surprised that somebody that markets themselves as a fresh, healthy, hip place would offer glorified ranch dressing and call it Tzatziki. I've eaten real Mediterranean food and real Tzatziki is fresh, thick real-yoghurt-based stuff that is not runny and greasy. It is possible to get this stuff locally, there are restaurants that sell it by the bowl and still make a handsome profit, I'm sure. The worst part? I feel sick to my stomach after eating. Normally, good, fresh Med food makes me feel full, but not bloated, or sick. Now I get to watch my husband eating a bowl of Lucky Charms at 8 pm because his dinner was inedible. I LOVE the idea of Garbanzos and can't tell you how excited I was to see the variety, the ability to make up a plate of what you like. So maybe think about the quality control of keeping the food fresh, fix the problems with the meat, and revamp that tzatziki, and I will be there every day eating falafel, babaganoush, and pitas.

It's like Chipotle for Mediterranean food. I loved it actually, but be careful what you order, it might be too many different flavors for your palette.

We made our second trip to Garbanzo Mediterranian Grill last week, at the invitation of my daughter who hadn't been there before. I like the freindly service, fair pricing and generous portions of food. Yes, it's fast food, but not of the burgers and fries variety. I also like the fact that they were involved in a fundraiser, giving 25% of sales to Touching Stories. ( storycrafterscolorado.co… )

You can get WAY better med food in this town, if you feel you must patronize a chain establishment, then this is OK, and barely OK. The chicken swarma was basically chopped up chicken breast and the gyro looked like chopped up flank steak with seasoning. Please try somewhere else, there are several good med places south on CO blvd, or my favorite, shish kabob on colefax & grant, support our local businesses & eat more falafel :)

I love this place! The food is fresh, delicious, and very reasonably priced! Other mediterranean restaurants may not be as clean or well-run but this place is, hands down, my very favorite. Their falarma platter is so generously portioned that my husband and I share one platter and we can eat!

This was one of my only times I've ever tried Mediterranean foood, and let me tell you I'm hooked. I was handed a falafel as I walked in the door. It tasted great and made me hungry for more of what this awesome restaurant has to offer. The ordering process took me a minute to grasp, but the staff was very eager to help. Now that I've been there a few times I have a favorite dish that I get nearly every time. The food is always frest tasting and served piping hot. I love that I can control everything that goes in my pita. My family loves the place now and we go there quite often on the weekends.

Start at the top and choose either a plate, wrap, or whatever then work your way down the line. Wife and i didnt know that and totally held up the line.. lol... the people were not super helpful, the guy said "its just like chipotle" with a sarcastic "youre an idiot" wink... dude i live in louisiana.. we aint got a chipotle! Lol it was awkward, but the wrap we finally got was good enough, the falafels were da bomb diggety tho... i wish a had a big bag of those jokers rite now!

It was confusing, but an employee enthusiastically recommended I get the plate the first time so that I could try the different things. I got the steak and it was dry and lukewarm. That was probably the best thing on my plate. I tried different combos of what I had gotten on my plate with the steak and the sauce and the pita, but I didn't feel that I even really liked any combo I tried. It was healthy and I liked that, but I won't go back. It just isn't for me.

Great food. Sadly they are very overpriced for what you get. Expect to walk out of this place spending $10 on a meal that leaves you as satisfied as a $2.99 meal at Wendys.

Okay, so it's not totally authentic, and there are more authentic choices right up the street. True, but tiring. Can't something just be good because it's good? Clearly this is fast food. I have to wonder whether these same people whine that Taco Bell is not authentic Mexican? Personally, I think the food is great. I always get the plate, order an extra pita, and you have enough food for two meals. The Mediterranean Garlic sauce is so, so good. The chicken is okay . . . inconsistent, sometimes dry, quite a bit of fat. I prefer the vegetarian options. Awesome hummus. I did take off one star for service. I think Maggie described the atmosphere perfectly, below. The menu is confusing on your first time, and they are snobbish about how it all works. On many visits I've heard other patrons ask for explanation, and the worker has always felt the need to sigh loudly before offering help. Once a person in front of me asked what babaganoush is, and the person working gave her a huge attitude (which is ironic considering that at the "real" ethnic restaurants they have no problem describing food). Also, I would not recommend picking up food in the late afternoon. I did this once, and everything was dry and cold. It had clearly been sitting out since lunch. Ick.

Fool me once, the jokes on you. fool me twice, the jokes on ME. My experience was not good at all at Garbanzo: the food has no taste or quality what so ever!! First time I went, I was soo hungry, I didnt really pay attention to the taste but I definitely paid attention to the stomach pain that followed. I did give them a second chance and yes, the jokes on me! Garbanzo is partner with Panera and their goal is not to serve us with fresh and tasty food as they claim,,their only goal is to make money!! Their employees have no clue about any of the food and I guess this is why they dont know any better...Chipotle in a different version. I've been to the cherry creek location and the highlands, no no no!!

Loved the plate I got! The hummus was good and the meat was well seasoned and I left feeling refreshed! I wasn't expecting much since it was a chain restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was wonderful too and one kind employee helped me get seated since I had my hands full with a baby!

After, ahem, several more visits, I am still a big fan. Have recommended Garbanzo to a few folks and they were also pleased. I still believe the Falarma plate is the best deal... a good variety of eats, and for little over $6 I get enough for two lunches.

Rude workers, no respect for patrons Hair in food Wouldn't give me corporate customer service number. Was one of my favorite eateries... no more. Was waiting on my take out, while snacking on falafel, found possible hair. Looked over to the worker sitting next to me who was a worker. I said excuse me three times, he looked at me with raised eyebrows and just why are you bothering me facial expression. So I said nicely, knowing he might be on break, do you mind if I ask you work related question. He said yes, so I asked if there is any ingredient hat would look like this, holdng up the hair. He said no, he doesn't think so, but they don't make at that store. So I said ok, I'm going to return it, it's hair. And he says she's going to return it to himself, and then walked off. Then I go up to return it, and the worker says 1.99. I said, yeah, I want to return it. I have to wait there, and then the first guy *who turn out to be the manager* swings around the corner, opens the registrar, not even looking at me, and THROWS 2 dollar bills at me. And goes back to the back area. I said what is the owner's number to another worker. He ignored me. I had to repeat it 3 times, finally he says its on the menu. I said where's the menu, he points to it. I said, where is it on here (it wasn't on there). He said, there and just points to the first location on the list. I said what's that managers name. He ask didn't want to give me this info and acted annoyed that I was asking. I asked again and he told me without looking at me and his held held back. So I turn around to the table i was sitting and the other food I ordered was there. I picked it up, walked back up and said I wanted to return it all. They didn't even ask why. The manager guy shows up again and I said I'm returning it all, i don't appreciate you throwing money at me. then he said let me get them, and let the person in line go (which is fine for one) Except then he let the NEXT one after that pay for his food. There was no one else after that, so who knows how long I would wait. Then he said did you pay cash. (No sorry your food had hair, no sorry I was rude to you). I said credit. So he says, can you give me back those 2 bucks I gave you and I'll void it out. Then when I asked, he said there was no receipt to prove it was voided. Just RUDE. You;d think after having HAIR in the food, that I wouldnt want my money back? I don't care it if s 50 cents. I'm not paying mone for DIRTY FOOD. I could have understood that was beyond their control, and it happens. but it was their behavior toward me that has me APPALLED.

I am freaking obsessed with this awesome Greek fast casual delight! Garbanzos food is so fresh and always flavorful, not a place to get a greasy gyro. I never feel disgusting after eating here, I have incorporated it into my weekly diet of healthy yummines. I have found that the best bang for your buck is the plate. I have enjoyed all the sides, salads and toppings, you really can't go wrong. What really wins my heart is their baba ganoush and grilled eggplant, so good! There new ice teas/lemonades are super flavorful. Also being apart of their loyalty rewards club is a must they provide you with awesome freebies. I try to come every Monday so that I can get my double points on! I'm stoked that this concept was just picked up by the same owners as Panera and Apple bees so soon this Colorado delight will be available across the country. I hope they do not change anything because the service is great and the smorgasbord of options is what really makes this place my weekly favorite spot.

I like the food here. I know it's not authentic, but it's tasty. But this post is not about that, it's about the rude staff at the Colorado Blvd. location. Went there with a friend today and they treated us like we were a huge pain in the ass for, you know, going in there and ordering food. I had been a few times before (at the other location), so I knew what I wanted and ordered first. My friend had never been, so when we walked in, he needed a moment (literally) to look over the menu. There was no one behind us, so it's not like we were holding up the line. As soon as he approached the counter, he was still looking up at the menu and the dude started barking questions at him, not giving him any time to ask questions, rolling his eyes and generally acting like my friend was a huge idiot because he didn't know what "falarma" was, or how the whole process worked. My friend stammered out a hurried order, then said that he would be ordering two things (we were picking up dinner for a friend as well) and you would think my friend had just ordered a hot tea, water with lemon (no ice), and then asked to have his parking validated. Like it was SUCH an inconvenience and an imposition for this guy. By this time a couple had walked in after us and were casually looking at the menu, but it's not like it was rush hour and there was a huge line, or any reason to rush. Meanwhile, on the line, one employee is talking to another about how she "can't wait to get out of here" and her ride is waiting for her outside, etc. We get to the register and the first guy is ringing us up. He asks if we want anything else, and my friend says, "I'll take a large soda, too." The guy's like, "We only have one size here and it's medium," and takes a cup and sort of bangs it down on the counter, making a loud noise. It just seemed really rude. Enough that when we walked out, although we hadn't even made eye contact the whole time, my friend and I turned to each other and said almost in unison, "that guy was so rude!" (or something more profane to that effect) almost immediately. The whole thing felt like walking into a hipster bar wearing the wrong kind of ironic T-shirt, or asking for a fork at a sushi restaurant. I work in the service industry, and I know it can be tiring and stressful. I know people can sometimes be difficult (for the record, we weren't). But is absolutely unacceptable to treat customers like you're doing them a huge favor just by serving them food. Which is your job. It's also pretty lame to complain about work and wanting to get out of there when customers can hear. And hello? you work for tips! It's in your best financial interest to put on a polite face.

It is like Subway except for Mediterranean food. the food seems fresh though the chicken seem too greasy. The people working there were nice. Tasted like store bought hummus and very Americanized, not authentic tasting Mediterranean food.

Don't think I'll be returning. After paying for my order I noticed a "2% public improvement fee" Cashier would not remove this charge. I don't understand why this business can't price their products honestly. Raise your prices 2% if that's what you want to do but sureptitously tack on fees at the end. To make matters worse... The gyro was very dry and had almost no meat. Didn't care much for the hummus or vegetable salad either.

Yadda yadda hummus, yadda yadda baba ganoush, yackity yack shwarma, blah blah pita, blabber blab fatoush, yuckity yuck tabouli. Garbanzo is fast becoming one of my favorite quick stops for lunch. See my other reviews of other locations (please?). The line moves quick, the food is good and the price is right on. Parking over here can be a chore, plus the layout of the lot is strange so PLEASE slow down and have some manners pre or post meal.

A lot of yelper's have labeled this Mediterranean Grill as a "healthier Chipotle," I'm not so sure about that. I ordered a plate with half chicken/ half beef as the protein, lettuce, pickles, hummus, babaganoush, pepperoncini, vegetable salad, and a bit of tzaziki sauce to top it off. It also came with pita bread of your choice (I chose wheat). I looked at their nutrition info and calculated this to be around 800 calories, which is a lot more than my typical meal at Chipotle. However, it was a ton a food, and I did have some left overs that I ate as a snack in the afternoon. The quality of the food was pretty good, I wasn't ecstatic about it, but definitely no complaints either. The staff was very friendly; they offered everybody a free sample of falafel. As an added bonus, they had a really cool touch screen soda machine. I'd go back, but only after I get bored of Chipotle again.

The food here is beautiful, fresh, and tasty. This place would have received the elusive fifth star had it not been for the dirty tables. They were busy and I guess they didn't have the extra "manpower." The wait staff is friendly and who doesn't like a free falafel while you mosey down the line. Yes, there are a lot of calories in the food, but that's just because you get a generous portion. Take half the food home for lunch the next day and what you're left with is a healthy, delicious meal anyone from the Mediterranean area would give a thumbs up to.

As always, delicious! I always get the chicken falarma plate with lots of sauces for the top. A bit of a disappointment is that they did not offer me a falafel when I walked in, as they generally do. (They didnt to the people in front of me either). Otherwise, very good!

I love Garbanzo's and tend to go to the one that's close to me a little further down on S. Colorado. Mine has a lot of flaws that this one does not. This one always has ample amounts of pita (both wheat and white) available even later on in the evening. It has really good hours and stays open until 10pm. This one has pretty friendly staff, though sometimes they can be a little on the slow side. I only wish that this one could help out mine a little more and/or move down Colorado a little!

They had fast service and the staff was very helpful since I've only tried the salad in the past. I'm actually a big fan of garbanzo for the freshness and healthy options they have. It's becoming a better fast food option than chipotle for me. I find myself craving their Greek salad at least every other day. I reAlly like their eggplant paste thing. It's perfect with pita! Definitely try if you're in a rush and need a healthy option!

I'm originally from the Mediterranean, so I'm usually quite picky about Mediterranean restaurants. The first time I ate at Garbanzo's (on vacation to Denver) I was surprised to find out it was a chain. Since moving here I have frequented this Colorado Blvd. location a few times. Parking out front is iffy but I've always been lucky to find that last spot. I understand there is a garage around back but I've never had to use it. The place is always clean and staff is always friendly and cheerful. I've never had a long wait either and there is plenty of seating. The food is always spot on. Everything is fresh and delicious. They usually offer a Falafel sample, which is spiced right on, just like it's made back home. I always say yes, even though I'm going to order some (he he). Lately I've ordere the beef kabobs. They are delicious. The meat is always tender and flavorful, skewered with onion, pepper and tomato and grilled to pefection. It's served with Rice, Vegetable salad and Humus. I have them add Tahini sauce. They offer you a choice of white or wheat pita. These are actual Middle Eastern pitas, as opposed to Greek you get with gyros. Greek pitas are a flat, spongy bread, like a round slice of white bread. Real middle eastern pitas have a different texture, a sof crust all around and a pocket in the middle from puffing up when they're baked. These are the latter, and they're soft and yummy. I always clean my plate here. Their food is like home cooking for me, and it's fresh, flavorful and fairly priced. Give them a shot, I think you'll enjoy it.

I enjoy Garbanzo a lot. They usually offer you a sample of falafel when you enter (today they didn't) and are helpful in explaining the menu to newcomers. The food is tasty and prepared well, the ingredients are good for you, and you leave with a pleasant fullness (but not an overloaded feeling) in your belly. I usually order the chicken shwarma with falafel (falarma) on a plate with my whole wheat pita on the side. The hummus is good, but I think they tend to over-serve it sometimes. I get the rice, red onions and red cabbage, with garlic sauce, tahini, and cilantro sauce. The rice is seasoned and cooked very well. One great thing to note is that every time you visit, your receipt has an invitation for a phone survey, and if you take the three minutes to punch in a few numbers, you get a free side of falafel with your next order. It's a pretty good deal. I also like that they have a rewards program where buying so many meals (I don't know exactly how many) gets you a freebie. It's something that other restaurants should try (I'm talking to you, Chipotle). All told, it's a tasty and big meal at a really affordable price. Not everyone likes Mediterranean food, I know, but if you do or if you're on the fence, give Garbanzo a try.

Over the summer, Garbanzo was slinging their delicious bites at a few Yoga Rocks the Park events that I attended and I knew I had to go check them out some day. Well, some day arrived a few nights ago and the BF and I headed over to the closest location. Immediately upon entering, one of the guys behind the counter offered us a falafel. Yes.Please. Damn, those things are great! But what to have for an entree? The BF went with a stuffed pita and I opted for the lamb gyro. Having already tried the falafels, I knew I needed to try the stuffed grape leaves as well. Everything was oh so good! My taste buds were so happy with the tender lamb and beef as well as the delicious sauces provided. The BF's stuffed pita was super tasty, too. The smoky grill on the chicken was perfect! And for only about $7 a pita/gyro/bowl? Dear god, why haven't I been stopping here more often? Friendly service, easy on the pocket book, and super tasty bites! While it may take me a while to get back to the Mediterranean, don't mind me while I lounge in the Colorado sun and snack on falafels and stuffed grape leaves in the meantime. Garbanzo, I think I'm in love!

The customer service is absurdly good. Seriously - it's WAY above and beyond what I would expect for any fast food restaurant. Everyone who worked there seemed genuinely pleased to serve and assist everyone who came in the door. All questions were answered well and courteously. Samples of falafel were offered to everyone who got to the counter. The food is good too. It's a good value for the price. But the reason for the five star review is the customer service. It was beyond exemplary.

My husband and I came here for a quick lunch. The staff was astounding. Xavier was genuinely kind and Francesca is AMAZING! The computer broke down and it took a while for us to pay for our food. Francesca didn't let us pay for our food due to the delay. They made our day. My husband decided to pay for the next person in line though. :) I would DEFINITELY COME BACK due to the food and service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a chain... a tasty chain, but still a chain. The food here is generally fresh and tasty. The staff seem friendly and professional. Additionally, the area is experiencing some growth and some really cool places are popping up around there. If you're looking for something quick, fresh, and tasty, Garbanzo's is a good place to try.

Eat at this establishment at your own risk as I did and broke a tooth on an olive pit hidden in my lettuce. $3000 dental bill and their insurance company denies any negligence on their part. I'm definitely spreading the word about their lack of QC and lost me as a customer! Also the level of service at their Highlands location is poor with attitude!
