Delicious food and great staff, our waiter was friendly and accommodating while making us feel right at home. Loved the fried pickles and the Carolina BBQ sandwich was AMAZING!! If I'm ever in Fruita again I know exactly where I'm going!!

I've eaten here twice - very impressed. Both times the service was good. The Hefeweizen was amazing, the German Lager was dark red and a little fruity - so delicious. Their food is tasty. There are plenty of healthy options, and the prices are quite reasonable. On Tuesdays, all drafts are $2. That's awesome. I'll be back!

Yay new chef just started and started off with a bang...first Sunday brunch with lots of options...Omelets fresh prepared to order. Expecting a new menu soon as Rich (chef) can come up with it. Great to see Aaron is still here and has an attitude of a contributing owner. Also found out the owners have acquired the former End Zone and renamed it the Fat Jar Cannery and Brew House. Now maybe we can patronize business in our town again!

Great service! Both ladies serving were super friendly and helpful. We asked Jen what she liked on the menu and I was so happy to get a honest response. Her favorite is the firecracker burger with a chicken breast substituted plus avocado. SO GOOD. The fish tacos were tasty, would rather have a corn tortilla but flour still tasted great! IPA was tasty. Looking forward to coming back in the fall when we go mountain biking.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here on our way back from Moab yesterday. We were originally going to check out a place up the street, but given our passion for good, craft brews, we decided to check out Suds instead. Unfortunately the patio was packed so we had to be inside on a beautiful day. Our server was on top of all of our needs upon sitting down. I had a honey orange wheat and the Mexican beer (forget the name) both were light and refreshing. My boyfriend had the hefeweizen and German lager, happy with both. The food was very good. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with buffalo chips, you have to get the buffalo chips for your side if you come here! My guy had a burger. High quality ingredients here. Great atmosphere, looks like they also occasionally have live music here. Highly recommend!

This is a full service music, and sports geared brewery/bar/restaurant. We did not eat, but came in for a quick pint. They have happy hour, as well as a beer special every day. Bartender was chill. We had the double white and an IPA. As we were asking him about the interesting guitar and bass hanging above the bar, he pointed out the Beatles memorabilia shrine near the door. Nice spot, they were playing sports on TV, if that is your thing.

Passing through to Moab, had to stop for a beer and snack. The service was fantastic, the beer delicious and cold, and the Fruita Family platter had fried cheese curds and pickles, and crispy onion rings with wings. Sat out on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful day. Certainly will stop back here on future trips and will definitely recommend to friends.

Had a very bad experience with an inexperienced snotty waitress. The manager said he would talk to her about it. Then he never responded to me at all. I will never go there again.

We were in the area for a few days of mountain biking. This place was walkable from the house we rented. We showed up around 8pm on a Saturday and the place was dead. We didn't know if that was a bad sign or there are not that many people in Fruita. Our server was Jenn. She was great. Really funny. The guys has a few of the beers at $4 and had no complaints. The ladies ordered double vanilla rootbeers, Naughty Rootbeer, they were $7.50. They went down way too easy. For dinner, someone had the fish & chips, the Bacon Blue Burger with Buffalo Chips, the lemon pepper chicken and the turkey chef salad. Everyone said their food was good. The lemon pepper chicken was a tad salty but that was the only negative comment. Meals were between $8 to $10. We hung out for a bit but it was obvious they wanted to close. We were the last table at 9:30pm on a Saturday night. Overall a good experience. We would recommend if you are in the area. A decent meal at a good price with funny servers.

Didn't eat much but the beer and burgers were good. It was nice to visit a local place like this after days out in mother natures playground. I'll come back. Oh yeah, don't go here if you are in a hurry.

In town for a race and wanted something quick. Sat immediately by the host, drink order just as quick. Service was quick and the food hot. I am not a real foody, just like simple fare, but I like it good and hot and I got both. I would eat here again.

The service help in the bar..very good. Very nice and attentive young men and women. Love their burgers. Fries are some of the best I've had and priced competitive. Their beers that ive tried..all very good. Especially the Monkey Butt Amber. Ordered nachos with beef yesterday. Wow..very average at best. Which would be ok if they didn't charge $14 for them! Yes..you heard that right! $14 and very sub par. For $14 you expect either really good nachos or really large nachos. Both would fit the price. They were neither. I really dont know how they serve them with a straight face! We sat watching others eat their burgers wishing we'd have stuck to that!

  • Judith A.

Terrible food. We needed a microscope to see the fish in the expensive fish tacos. The tortillas were petrified. Maybe from the Dinosaur Museum?

  • Sarah L.

Beers are ok. Except the IPA it was really bad. Ordered the fried mushrooms they were also very bad. The batter wasn't cooked all the way through, the mushroom was mushy and not hot. Possibly frozen and fried. We ate a few and told the waitress we didn't like them. Still charged us for them. Ordered the nachos instead...... 20 minutes later they arrived. They were no longer warm and the sour cream was partially frozen so u couldn't dip into it.

Food and beer were great! Great selection of local brewed beers! Monkey Butt beer was great! Had hot wings for appetizer. Lots of sauce and great flavor. Ate the club and French dip! Both were excellent and the fries were delicious!

I stopped here with my mom on a cross country trip. We both enjoyed our meals and the waitress was cheerful and attentive. Granted it was 4p on a Saturday.

Decent food. I had chicken strips. They were a tad dry I think. The sweet potato fries may have been better without the cinnamon-sugar topping that they came sprinkled with. I tasted the buffalo chips and those seemed to be a better side choice. I don't drink beer but I had a pretty good Riesling. Our server was very upbeat and friendly.

  • Sandy H.

Blue burger with mushrooms instead of bacon, easy to substitute. Recommend the sweet potato fries, they come with cinnamon and a brandy butter dipping sauce, then the waitress bought a dollop of whipping cream for the fries, just like dessert!

I normally give a place a second chance and suds struck out twice with me. I head to Hot Tomato or Copper Club but steer clear of here; learned my lesson. On both occasions the service was severely lacking and the food mediocre at best..

Stopped in lunch after a day of sight-seeing with out of town friends, cool-looking bar. Would like to hang out for drinks sometime...too bad Fruita is so far away, doubt I could more than one or two and make the drive to Grand Junction! Food was not bad...had the redneck nachos despite being turned off by the name--I've never met a redneck that ate blue cheese! They were good though...service was a little irksome...I ordered the beer cheese soup with the intent of dipping the nachos but it was forgotten, and still forgotten after reminding her. I finally told her to cancel it after my friends were long done eating and I didn't want to make them wait on me. I never looked at the bill to see if we got charged for it...I assume not. I liked my husband's beer better than my own IPA....he got the Monkey Butt Amber. I would try it again.

Very good burgers, good sides and salads. Liked the firecracker burger and a nice side salad. Fun place - a little loud. But very friendly staff and worth finding. And some cool rock memoriabelia. If you are in Fruita, you will be glad you stopped in.

Pretty good handcrafted beverages, nice to see people actually working in the brewery area while you're having lunch. Our waitress was very nice and our meals were pleasant. Not my favorite dish or anything, but it was solid in it's excecution. Oh, if you're going to charge extra for mass-produced sweet tater fries, at least give me a heapin' helpin of'em. Speaking of the fries, they came with some strange cup of....... something oily. I think it was a sweet vinegarette or ... or. Still a touch frightened by it really. Disappointed that we missed the Hot Tomato (every pizza needs a day off...) but not disappointed that we ended up here.

Totally great! Super friendly staff, really tasty and generous post ride pasta dishes as well as wide variety of sports bar / comfort food. Awesome beer and cheese soup. Perfectly priced and comfortable dining room. Would definitely come again.

Enjoyed a good meal at Suds Bros Brewery last night. The prices seemed fair, service was good, but a little slow at times. We were seated in the bar area instead of the dining room which seemed strange, but they were cleaning it prior to closing. Better customer relations if the dining room was cleaned up after closing. I like all the tv's in the bar area, a sports fan delight. A lot of time and effort went into opening this restaurant and it is a bonus to the Fruita area. Second visit March 17th, got charged $1.25 for a shot glass sample of one of their beers. I can understand charging for a 5 or 6 glass sampler tray, but for one taste...dumb! Food was average, waitress was friendly and chatty. I've never been a brew pub that charged for a "taste" of one of their brews...these guys are either really stupid or cheapskates. Either way it's not good for customer relations. It's a good thing there are other choices in Fruita.

I liked my cajun chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Nice ambiance, inside and out. There's a bar area with TV's for watching sports. Regarding some of the Yelp reviews that complain about poor service, I'd say my waitstaff was average -- nothing great, but not terrible either. You've got to go with the flow with these small town microbreweries. Great place to kick back after a hard day's work. Take your date there. Upbeat kind of place. I'll be back.

Went to Suds for the first time last night to watch the Thur night football game with some buddies. Food, service, and atmosphere was great. Best thing we ate were the shrimp jalapeño poppers and fries cheese curds. Freaking awesome. Great beer too. Had the nut brown for only $2 pint during the game. They have a sauce for every dish, and they are all great. Highly recommend this place!

The place has potential but there's work to do! Ordered the flatbread gyro special. It was served in a pita, not flatbread, and came with the tiniest amount of meat possible. The specials board showed it costing $9.99 but we were charged $10.99. Same thing for my son's meal- $10 on the menu but charged $11. Not impressed. Good news is that the beer is decent...

It looks much better than the original brewpub that was in here a few years ago. The bar area in particular is very attractive with flagstone walls, dark wood and dramatic lighting. I asked the waitress about the fish and chips and she told me she didn't like fish, but that it was popular; not exactly an enthusiastic endorsement. I subbed cheese and beer soup for for the chips ($11.00). The soup was good but the fish was a joke. The serving consisted of four tiny, I'm talking fish stick sized fillets. I should have sent it back and ordered a sandwich, but I didn't. Since when is breaded white fish worth $60 per pound. Ridiculous.

Last Friday was date night. Jan and I went to dinner as is our usual game plan. This time, we went to Suds Brothers Brewery located in downtown Fruita, and had their Friday night special: prime rib. What a treat. It was just perfect. More importantly, though, was the social experience. We were visited by the owners themselves who took the time to actually make us feel welcome and very special. We recommend Suds for lots more than their great beers and food.

Love this place. Always have good food and the coldest and best beer!

Bad service. Decent food. Didn't get a very welcome feeling being a tourist from the other side of the range.

  • Justin H.

Meh. Beer was totally average at best and the food was worse the average pub grub. Options are certainly limited in Fruita and if you find yourself here, Its not the end of the world, just don't expect anything better the mediocrity.

went there after a long hard mtb ride in Rabbit Valley. Service was good and the food it the spot. The beers are still a work in progress but overall a nice visit. Had the root beer float for dessert. The ice cream was so so but the root beer was excellent. My only complaint is the serving size of the root beer was about 6-8 oz. I will go back.

Nice place....but ordered medium rare steak sandwich, it came out medium well. I politely sent it back. Yet again received a medium well steak. Server made me feel like I didn't know the difference between the two. She did not offer to take it off of my check or even my drinks. I doubt I will return. If you go....make sure you get your steak the RIGHT way!

Having lunch at the bar mid afternoon. Only customers in the place and they ask for a credit card before they will serve us. I have never experienced that anywhere before and never will again. TERRIBLE customer relations... Will never go back. Food was below par.

At first, we were disappointed that the Hot Tomato Cafe was full until we walked into the cool, air-conditioned, fly-free Suds Bros Brewery just down the street. From the moment we walked in, Jenn W. (our faithful server) and Brad (with the awesome calves and the bucket of many crayons) were VERY personable, helpful, welcoming, friendly and funny. The food was better than your typical pub fare. The menu choices were good. The prices were reasonable. My husband had the Carolino BBQ sandwich (one of the recommended choices) which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our party had more kids than adults. All had a respectable amount of fun (extra straws were even brought to us after all of the straw papers had been lost to a straw paper war), but the kids were kindly cautioned that spilled drinks in the big cups they were given would result in the termination of their friendship with Jenn W. The beer was good (both the WTF Lager and the Red Monkey Butt Amber Ale) with FREE samples given to a few selected brews when refills were needed to ensure a good second choice was made. They make their own root beer as well which was dubbed "awesome" by the kids. Chocoloate milk was served in chilled mugs to the delight of the kids. This is a place we will try to visit again the next time we venture through Fruita. I know that it's newer, but hope it can stand the test of time.

The brews are good but unfortunately the food is AWFUL!! The fish & chips taste like Gordons frozen fish. The veggie hummus wrap doesn't even come with what it says it does on the menu & the hummus is watery. If you want to eat, don't come hungry to Suds! We go for the happy hour beers & go elsewhere for food. It's a shame because the menu sounds good but tastes disgusting.

The service was extremely slow mainly from the waitress. We started with an appetizer, White cheddar cheese cruds. They were over cooked some had burnt areas, hard to chew and also very greasy. To the point where you fingers are covered in grease after you pick one up. I had the French dip. Almost half of the roll did not have meat on it, what little meat I did have was good. The au juice did have a good flavor. The person I was with had the BBQ stacker burger. He had no complaints. We both got the sweet potato fries, which we enjoyed. We had the "Beer Cheddar soup" made with a beer they make, do not be fooled it is just broccoli and cheese soup, and not that good. We would not be going back, but on this visit we found out our favorite bar tender form a different restaurant (Aaron) who we just love is working at this place now. So we will be back just because of him. Next time will be sitting in the bar and im sure we will have a better experience.

4 adults, 3 kids. We all liked the food, service was good. The etch-a-sketches for the kids was innovative idea, better than crayons! Beer sampling was fun in an attractive atmosphere and without loud TVs. Reasonably priced. We'll be back!

I went in last night with my boyfriend and 2 kids and let me say the friendliness of the waitress was awesome...the fries were the best and I liked the general atmosphere. Now if only the timeliness of the waitress and the burgers were a little beefier this would be my new favorite place. The waitress absolutely must learn to greet tables sooner...bring drinks sooner and also bring the check before 20 minutes passes after plates have been taken or there will be a lot more dine and dashes. Patrons don't want to wait that long to leave late at night with kids to take home to bed. I don't know how long these waitresses have done this type of work but this kind of service will make or break the success of this restaurant. I have been a server and bartender for over 10 years and I'm kindly telling you...must have some meetings with waitstaff on timeliness. Also not having free samples of special brews while the bartender is seen sampling quite often is irking to many...I personally do not drink but I've heard this complaint from many patrons of Suds Brothers very recently, just a heads up...not all samples need to be free but seriously...need to give a little to get a lot ;) rethink your strategy or this place will bomb fast!!!

I came here with my mom to get a quick drink while walking around town. What a mistake. Walked in without being greeted. Decided to sit at the bar. Continued to go without greeting even while waitress were behind the bar and walking passed us so we left after giving is about 15min. No hello, no "just one moment, we'll be right with you." Nothing. You're much better off going down the street to Copper Club for a good beer and awesome service. Suds is embarrassing.

The turkey wrap and fire cracker burger was willing... Par it with the nut brown beer and you will never be disappointed. Staff is very nice and attentive.

Stopped at lunch today and had a great experience. I tried the flight of their in house brews and ended up taking home 2 growlers. We sat at the bar and got great service from the bartender who gave us all the info we could have ever wanted about the in house brews. Ended up getting the firecracker burger and it was awesome. Next time I drive through Fruita I am definitely stopping in for a drink.
