OMG Peppinos. This is a place I will never forget. It's a cute little place in downtown off the beaten trail. It was busy!! Not a lot of people eating in, but DANG that kitchen staff was working hard. I tipped them well because they deserved it. Their pizza is awesome. My favorite that I have had in a long time. And the prices are reasonable! This is by far the only restaurant in the central Colorado area that I have been impressed with the food. Coming from NM, where we have good food everywhere, it's tough to compare. Staff was friendly and helpful. Place was clean. They have boardgames for you to play while you wait/eat. I think they like people to stay. It's a cute little place. Deffinitely recommend going here. As long as you aren't too snobby on the atmosphere on the place, it's totally worth the trip. Can't wait for my next trip ot Summit county!

Aloha pizza was delicious. More than just the usual pineapple and ham - bacon and onions and red peppers made it feel more like a full meal. And the crispness of the crust was just perfect. My wife ordered a garden side salad - same thing. Not the usual iceberg lettuce and some shredded carrots. We got broccoli and mushrooms and fresh spinach. Very friendly staff and affordable prices to boot. Would definitely recommend and return.

BBQ chicken was good, sauce was sweet but crust is pretty good. Ordered a 12" for 2 and ate the whole thing. We would eat here again probably.

Decided to stop in and try out this place based upon the other reviews here on yelp. I have to say we were impressed with the pizza, it was cooked perfectly, thin and crispy crust, excellent toppings and served fast, fresh and hot. Will definitely be back again.

Loved this place so much. The garden side salad was amazing and had so many fresh veggies. The pizza was incredible and you can just tell they use fresh ingredients! I will definitely be coming back when I am in town. Mike the chef was amazing, and very friendly as well...as was all the staff!

I am not a big pizza fan, so I was skeptical at first. Wow, was I made a believer!! The Mt Vesuvius is hands down the best pizza I ever had! The huge single slices you can get when you walk in are amazing, too! Peppino's is now a staple in our household!!

Best pizza in Frisco! Crisp crust, fresh ingredients + tossed right in front of us! Love this place!!!!!

    I. Freaking. Love. Peppino's. As a deaf woman, it's damn near hard for me to get good service at a lot of places. Seriously, people get so freaking weird when I let them know I'm deaf and it makes me feel so unwelcome... not these guys! Everyone is super friendly every time I come in and the food is so, so good. I've never dined in, I usually call in to pick up orders and every time I come in to pick it up, it's ready to go! The Sweet Basil BBQ is a fantastic pizza :) I definitely recommend this place!

No stars for this one. Called to order delivery, called from my cell that has out of state number. The individual who I spoke to was very rude, repeatedly said he couldn't hear me as he spoke over my words as I talked, then hung up on me after telling me my order would take an hour and a half to be delivered. My friend then called back from her local phone number, order was taken without trouble, and told the pizza would be delivered in 45 min. The pizza came and it was crap with hardly any cheese, or toppings that we ordered, that cost $ 20.00. I am not from, born & raised in Colrado, I have lived here for 6 years. However regardless no reason to treat customers this way.

My daughter has Celiac disease and she has to eat gluten free. She got the gluten free pizza to go twice and she didn't have any issues. They do mention that they do their best to not cross contaminate but, they can not promise it will not happen. My daughter liked crust and she got it with pepperoni and black olives. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you go there often they have a loyalty program.

This is what pizza is supposed to be! Old school metal oven (no conveyor belts!). The crust was almost cracker crispy on bottom, but soft (not doughy) inside. Brought my family of 6 here after snowboarding...the small but cozy dining room had plenty of games and activity books for the kids (it was nice not to have to tell my boys to put away twit phones...they were all over the connect 4 games). We can personally recommend the "Med Head"(Mediterranean veggie), Mount Vesuvius (meaty pie with jalapenos) and Buffalo Chicken. The family owned vibe is strong here...in the best way possible...nice to see employees take ownership of the process and product! We'll be back! BTW...ask for a little extra red sauce on the side (chunky and perfectly spiced...(I literally pulled a bay leaf out of it! )...perfect to dip your crust in!

Delicious pizza. And my favorite.... I enjoy a garden salad with my pizza. Seems places are taking the easy route with that crappy bagged stuff that I can get at any grocery store. But not here... This is the real deal! Fresh, fresh, fresh. Lots of veggies. Fresh croutons in separate baggy so they stay crisp (for take-out). Love getting take-out. The energy in that kitchen is fantastic.

So delicious!! We ate here 3 times the week we were in town. I couldn't get enough of their garlic knots with honey. I also had a marinara pasta with white American cheese which was delicious. The pizza was also very good.

Ordered delivery pizza, calzones, & cannolis while we were in town for the weekend. Food was excellent & arrived piping hot. Creative toppings available for build your own pizza. Would absolutely order again!

Great pizza. The restaurant itself is a bit dingy, but has a selection of games to play, and decent seating. The wait was a little long too, but they do delivery and it was a very busy night for them so that wasn't surprising. The pizza was good enough to overcome any shortcomings in the facility.

When traveling I always love finding the "local" pizza places. This place has pretty decent food. Our pizza was good - not fantastic, but a solid showing. The garlic knots were great ! The salad was okay as well. We ordered a chicken ceaser salad & overall it was okay, but there was very little chicken. The gyro that my daughter ordered was pretty good she said. It's a good local place, but very little dine-in room. I'd recommend it, but you're likely need to take it to go.

This lil place is AWSOME. Subs are fantastic. And the pizza is delightful. Very, very good food. Thanks

Good pizza and toppings. Large slices that are not overpriced. Friendly staff. Next time in Frisco will grab a fast bite here. Doesn't have any happy hour or tap beer or I would have given 5 stars.

This place makes great tasting food. Their operation is chaotic at best. I just ordered a pizza and was told 35 to 40 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes after hanging up so that I could pay ahead of time. They told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later they told me Oops it is just now going in the oven. There is always some excuse about being late with these guys. They just finally pissed me off while I had my phone handy and could write a review.

  • Arlene M.

Not impressed. We stopped by at three thirty on a slow Sunday. We ordered subs and a slice thinking that would be quicker than baking a pizza. We waited over thirty minutes for our food. The subs were burned, but tasted ok. The slice was fine, but nothing special. The gyro was good, but not great. Not worth coming back.

We are from the NYC/Philly area where thin crust pizza is king. We have some high standards but this place met or exceeded them all. Good selection and friendly service.

super cheesy cheese steak good pizza

  • Matt B.

10x better than Beau Joes in Idaho Springs. Fantastic crust makes all the difference. But a good balance of fresh cheese and veggies is also key. Add genuine and fun staff and it equals a great experience. Will be back after pow pow days!

  • Ernie S.

We stumbled in here upon the recommendation of a couple of local skateboard kids, who said it was the best food in town. A family-run operation, this place is busy and a top quality. Don't expect fancy and expect a small wait has the're very busy with in dining and delivery . We had a pizza that had a white Alfredo sauce and bacon, the crust was bubbly it was hot and was brought to our table and we loved it. It's funny, pizza is a very personal thing people like what they like. I frankly I'm not any kind of the pizza snob, but this place was great. The staff is sure responsive friendly and fun. You will not be disappointed!

The owner/operators make excellent dishes here. You have to find this fine pizzeria that is on Main St, but is hidden from your view. We had a great pizza tonight and will be back soon!

Ordered a dinner pizza on the way back from Vail. These guys did us the very finest thin crust pizza we've ever tasted -- light, crisp, crunchy, but melt-in-your-mouth delicious. All the ingredients seemed very fresh to us. The 14" Med Head filled all 3 of us up (2 adults, 1 kid). Even though we were 10 minutes late and they had to warm up the pizza, it was still fantastic. Staff was wonderful and attentive without being obtrusive. Atmosphere was informal, just the way we like it. (Think cozy hole-in-the-wall neighborhood pizza joint, not obsequious ostentatious Macaroni Grill.) Next time we're in Frisco, we'll be back for more!

  • Don F.

Okay its a pizza shop but it has some really great pizza. Had the Veg--tron it was tasty....crust had a nice chew and they were friendly like we were regulars. If you're in Frisco and want a great pizza in a comfortable atmosphere this is the place to go.

  • Kristin H.

I wast impressed with the pizza. It was over priced, $12 for two slices. They were slow even though the pizza is premade. They start with a premade slice of cheese pizza then add more sauce and whatever toppings you pick. The staff was friendly but the pizza did not taste fresh and I will not be returning.

A great, gluten-free option, pizzeria in the middle of the mountains! Incredible friendly staff here!

  • Paul G.

Today was my first time here. They were moderately busy due to the Pro Cycling Challenge in Breck. Ordered a lunch special jalapeno and pepperoni pizza. The wait was reasonable and you can watch them hand toss the crusts. The pizza had really good crispy crust, just the way I like it. The staff was friendly and courteous. I will definitely come back.

I'm bumping it up a star for being locally owned in a mountain town full of tough competition! They are somewhat difficult to find (walk toward the back on the street level, behind Stork & Bear) as I never saw a sign. But we were greeted warmly with a shout from the open kitchen as the guys prepped food and a lovely young lady was there to take our order at the counter. My husband was skeptical of the pizza we saw, so we opted to try their subs and they were tasty! My husband had the Mystic and I had the chicken parm. My sandwich was a tough decision because I noticed they also do a meatball sub with homemade meatballs, so I think I'll come back to try that too. My chicken was handbreaded chicken pieces, not a full breast like I expected, but the breading was well-seasoned and the marinara on the sub was delicious!! We got a preview of the marinara with an appetizer order of garlic bread, so I was happy to see it on my sandwich too- it was a touch on the sweet side but well balanced and not overpowering. The garlic bread was kinda meh but was saved by the yummy marinara for dipping! My husband really enjoyed his mystic as well. We ordered a "giant slice" for our 6 year old, and giant it was! The crust was decent, if a little on the boring side, but again the good marinara and decent quality of cheese and toppings made it totally edible, though far from craveable. I'd have to try their pizza again before I say a total yay or nay. They also had buttered noodles for our toddler and they were the fun cavatappi shape which she loved. The food took some time to come out, after they hurried the garlic bread for us, and it was nice knowing they were making our sandwiches fresh. While we waited, we went back to their dining area where they have a shelf full of family games to help kill the time. I had an awesome time playing Connect 4 with my 6 year old and my husband stacked a deck of cards with our 2 year old. After kicking my 6 year's butt at Connect 4 (yeah, I'm that kind of mom), I found him a "shape game" that he really started getting into and was bummed when the food came out- it was an excellent way to kill time while waiting for food and have some QT with my son. All in all, this is a locally owned business that wears its heart on its sleeve. They have posted all kinds of charitable donations they've made and participated in, as well as promoting local happenings in the county. I also heard that they deliver- an awesome option for out of towners too wiped after a day on the mountain! I highly recommend you check them out and see for yourself.

Got a carry-out order today. I got their version of an Italian sandwich, the Buttafuco. They seem to have very good pizza in the county judging from the reviews. The sandwich was very well made also. I really loved the nice toasted action with the bread. It had a crust, yet was light enough and airy. The tapenade was a nice addition to a classic and went quite well with the other flavors. Will definitely be back for more.

After trying Keystone - fail for food during mud season - we came back into Frisco and happened on this little pizza place. Friendly staff greeted us at the door and we were on our way. Pizza was hot and big, toppings were numerous, and I beat my DH at battleship while we waited. Give them a shot if you want some pizza and you are in the area!

The hubs and I were craving pizza, so we checked out the reviews for this place on Yelp and thanks to you Yelpers, you didn't let me down. The pizza here is awesome! This little place is perfect for grabbing a bite for lunch. We shared a 10" The Works pizza. It had just about everything on it and it was delish. The toppings were tasty and the crust was just the right amount of crispy; just the way we like it. It was a perfectly sunny day, so we were able to enjoy our lunch outside on the patio. The 10" size is just the right size for two people to share at lunch. I love everything about this place, the food, the employees and the price. You can't beat it! I'd love to try some other things on their menu. They all sound great.

This place was a joke ya the pizza was ok (when it finally came) all the staff were rude and not helpful when we had been waiting almost an hour for pizza and garlic knots. When we inquired about our food they were snotty and disrespectful. When they brought out out knots we inquired again about out pizza and yet again got a shitty response this might fly if we were rude however this was not the case the 5 people behind us received their pizza and had time to eat it as well as leave and be gone 30 mins before we had to go inside and inquire about our food. In the end the pizza was ok that's all.

This is the best pizza I have ever tasted next to a local hangout in Rome called Zizzi Pizza. Ingredients are fresh and proportionate. The crust is not too thin and cooked evenly throughout. And the sauce tastes like a fresh garden bouncing around all over your taste buds.

  • Jody S.

A nice local pizzeria with great pizza and a homey atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. The pizza is great and reasonably priced. The beer selection was a little thin and pricey. They had a two liter bottle option for pop that was very affordable for the kids.

We loved this place! Great pizza, excellent crust, wings got great reviews and the guys behind the counter we're genuinely awesome! We we're visiting, but if local would definitely visit again!

I had the Jimmy The Greek pizza 10". Delicious and filling! The crust is perfect... more towards the thin and it's sure crispy! Enjoy!

  • Eric H.

Peppino's was ok. The service wasn't that great as they overcharged us on our bill and did not offer to correct it when it was pointed out to them. They just said "oops." I was excited to walk into the back room and see a bunch of board games available for playing. However, there was not one that I was interested in playing, so that was disappointing. The garlic cheese bread was very good and I would recommend it. The pizza was ok. It had a good flavor, but the crust was... well, it was really crusty. Too crusty for my taste. I probably wouldn't go there again for pizza... but would consider stopping in for some game playing and cheese bread if they get some new games.

On a Thursday evening in September (not peak season in Frisco), it took over a half hour to get our basic cheese pizza. And, it was NOT worth the wait. The sauce is severely over seasoned with herbs, completely masking any tomato flavor, and the crust is extremely dense, like I would imagine paperboard being; not crispy, just dense. So, if your goal is a good quick bite before hopping on I70, go somewhere else.

This pizza is damn good! They have some very unique toppings! I highly recommend it. The owner of this restaurant is the brother to the lady who owns My Thai in Breckenridge, Colorado. This is a very casual and chill atmosphere. Try the Stromboli's as well! It's tucked away next to a bar called Ollies!

Pizzas are excellent. Fantastic (and huge --- be forewarned) meatball sandwich. Good greek salad. They obviously pay attention to serving simple, excellent food! Delivery is nice too on a snowy evening!

What a great find in Frisco! After a day skiing at Breckenridge, my boyfriend and I had planned to go back to the hotel, shower, change, and THEN go out to dinner. However, we were starving after leaving the slopes and quickly decided to head straight to dinner. We didn't have a change of clothes with us, so we needed somewhere that we could walk in wearing ski clothes. We were also craving carbs!! We searched for a restaurant that offered dairy free and gluten free food (I have both food allergies), and this is the place we decided to try. We are so glad we did! The second we walked in and starting looking at the menu, one of the managers instantly walked up to us and started explaining the menu and that we could order at the counter. I asked him about foods that I could eat with my food allergies, and he showed me everything that would be good for me, and also let the staff know, as he was about to walk out the door to make a delivery. My boyfriend and I looked over the menu for another minute, then walked up to the counter to order. The lady working was so friendly and helpful! I think she was one of the owners/managers. She made sure that everything I ordered would fit my dietary needs, and even confirmed the sauce with one of the chefs. As we were talking to her, several other employees chimed in and were also talking to us. She also told us how she was experimenting with new gluten free recipes. I had a gluten free pizza (no cheese), and it was really good! The prices were really reasonable, and they put a lot of toppings on the pizza. The crust was also really good! My boyfriend really liked his (normal) pizza as well. The vibe was very low key and laid back, and it was perfect for a casual meal after a day of skiing. On a side note, there was another family in the back of the restaurant who had several children with them, one who was the child of celebrity parents! The restaurant seemed to know the family well, so if a local family who is friends with celebrities like to go there, that's got to mean something right?! Haha ;) I would definitely go back here.

Consistently good pizza. I've never been disappointed. I used to buy one or two a week, but they stopped giving me return customer coupons--they still have them. So its about once every six weeks now.

Ugh. I wanted to like this place. And it came highly recommended. But all in all, a real disappointment. Let's start with the setup. It's dated and aging by the day. It's sticky vinyl booths and worn-out floors kind of aging. Not a fan. Then we were told it was "kid friendly" because of the toys. More like a crusty doctor's office with toys that have been there for 25 years. They had a few wooden blocks, and a few boxes of ancient board games in crumbly boxes, and not much else. The kids weren't terribly impressed. Of course, for "kid friendly," the uncensored rap music blasting in the background dropping s-words and n-words was really what my children needed to hear. The service was kind of rude--not harsh, but just stand-offish, like they really didn't want to be there, really didn't care, and were showing it. It wasn't personal. It was just they didn't want to work. And the pizza was meh. The crust wasn't the greatest and had that taste of being slightly charred and overcooked, but know that's the style and how they always cook it. And the toppings were a bit salty, as if they were really commercial toppings from cans. Disappointing all around. We probably won't return.

  • Melissa J.

Ordered pizza for delivery. Delivery service was good, right on the estimated time. The wings and garlic knots were great, but the pizza we ordered was just gross (Cheeseburger Paradise). I'm not sure if we made a bad choice in ordering, or if all of their pizza is nasty. This pizza had "White American" cheese, which is apparently white processed cheese slices melted onto the pizza. I couldn't even finish a full piece.

In Frisco for a quick ski weekend and this pizza was everything we were looking for! Great service and delicious.

  • Phil C.

I really like the pizza here. Like NYC or Boston. Fresh (and some odd) ingredients prepared in house not just ordered from some pizza wholesaler. The huge lunch special slices are a deal and the non-pizza stuff is good too. Beer and other alcohol is available. Casual atmosphere (not particularly nice, but comfortable). The food takes precedence here. They sell pizza dough to go too in case you want to make your own at home.

    (5)
  • Josh S.

Their branding sets them up for failure -- "the best pizza on earth" -- but even though that's false, it's still damn good pizza. Wings were meaty and tasty too. They have a small room in back with maybe 7 tables and a small bar seating in front, so they're mostly a takeout/delivery place But they have games for the kids and good food for the adults, so it's a good place to eat-in as long as it's not busy. All in all, it's a great place and I recommend it highly if you want good pizza in the Frisco area! I'll be going back.

Awesome food and very friendly staff. Great vegetarian pizzas and whole wheat crust is always a plus. House salad was full of delicious fresh veggies that you wouldn't normally get on an average salad and the house made dressing was delicious.

Amazing pizza- but more than that they are so friendly there the minute you walk in the door! We enjoyed a large pizza after an afternoon of rafting!! If you're in the area the locals swear it's the best pizza in Summit County!

  • Brian B.

Peppino's was a little hard to find, it's on Main St, but well off the street, we drove by 3 times until we found it. It reminded me of the college pizza joints I frequented, nothing special. A few in our party ordered wine, I think the guys behind the counter had to unwrap the glasses. We ordered a salad to start, it came in a take out box and a stack of plastic plates. Pizza was hot and tasty, but again, nothing special.

  • Jim K.

We were staying in a condo in Frisco and walked down mainstreet looking for a place to unwind after a day of biking in the mountains. Just happened to stumble upon Peppino's, but the food and atmosphere were great. Mountain mystic pizza feel sitting at the counter watching pizza being made as locals stopped by. Enormous slices of pizza with great taste and oven-fresh crispy crust. Calzone was also great and huge. Kids enjoyed it. No one went away hungy.

  • Dave B.

Decent pizza, hard to find (set back in a small mall), service was good and helpful, they have board games in the small seating area. Not bad, not great.

    (3)
  • Nathan L.

This place is awesome after a day of riding on one of the mountains. The place itself about a year ago expanded so there is now some decent seating space, however the best place to sit is still at the bar that is attached to the kitchen. You can sit there and watch them toss their delicious dough and the heavily top the pizzas. They always use really fresh, really tasty toppings, and lots of them. I've also had some of their subs in the past and they are also very good, but I would always stick to the pizza. This past time we also tried the garlic bread and it was great. With the combination of the sauce they give you it is delightful. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars but I just can't because the hot wings were terrible. They seemed like they were boiled or something first, but then I'm fairly confident they weren't cooked all the way through. None of us got sick, or anything but I was definitely a little concerned. However, with the wings and all I will still be back because this place is great.

Waited long time for pie...call ahead if you know what you want. Pretty good pizza but better posters on the walls.

  • Sarah V.

This place is great. Super friendly and helpful service, and a relaxed, local feel. We had the Tree Hugger pizza - you get a nice whole wheat flavor in the crust without it being overbearing, the veggies tasted fresh and were cooked perfectly, and it even tasted good cold the next day. We'll def. return next time we're in Frisco.

    (5)
  • Loren A.

Good pizza and fun board game to play. Had a BBQ chicken pizza and a pepperoni pizza - both were excellent and hit the spot after a long day of skiing. If you're looking for a full service restaurant with waiters, this isn't the place for you, but if you are okay with ordering your food at a counter and paper plates, it couldn't be better.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
