Miners Tavern Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Food is good but one wonders with the huge menu which item will be the one you order that has not been made in awhile. Good atmosphere. We would go again. New to the area.

Miner's is a fun place to go when I am I Colorado. They have a great selection of beers on tap and awesome burgers. You should try the buffalo burger, it is fantastic.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we stopped by for lunch on Saturday. I suppose mostly grunge, but was relieved to see it was only slightly worn, but clean. The place is split into two sections, one a traditional bar area and the other brighter and airy. There were dartboards and a pool table, and quite a few flat panel TVS broadcasting various sporting events. We were apparently the first customers of the day and got our choice of seating offered by Helen, the inimitable barkeep. (Just imagine Kathy Bates a la Harry's Law and you'll get the picture. For an extra laugh put Jim Parsons/Sheldon Cooper in my husband's place and consider the interaction that might occur between them, because that's pretty much accurate.) I got the appetizer sampler, I think they called it a miner munchie platter? It was decent, though I wasn't impressed with the fries, but I lean towards crunchy and salty fries. The coating on the onion rings and the chicken was the perfect combination of cohesiveness and crunch. Hubby got the cheeseburger and inhaled it, so no complaints there. We later found out they regularly offered buffalo burgers (the meat, not the sauce), so we plan to go back and try those! There seems to be at least three entrances to this place, I saw at least two people come in through the back. We decided it was too early to drink, but had places to be later on, so we'll just have to come back.

Two things you need to know. 1. Best hamburgers anywhere! 2. Even better bloody Mary's. Who could want more? This is true hidden gem.

great food, great atmosphere! Fried pickles are a must as they make their own batter. The meats are from a local butcher but get here early as they can run out of buffalo burgers.

I can't believe that this is the same place that I came to five years ago when I moved here. Miner's walks the fine line of dive bar, and a place that is comfortable and fun to eat and drink in. I have to admit, there were times that I felt like I was cleaning the floors when I walked on them there, but over the years there has been substantial growth in the quality of Miners. They have a pretty decent tap selection right now, the best in Erie, and a full bar to back it up. They have food that is actually pretty decent. I had a great burger there, and really good fries. I was very impressed. They have lots of TVs, shuffleboard, and a pool table. They even have live music sometimes. The owner is frequently there, and seems to genuinely care. I am a fan of Miners, and especially when you compare it to other places in the area which are terrible, like Parkway, that place is horrible. I had a blast last time I was there, and look forward to going back soon.

This is a great place for burgers. At lunch they usually have a special for $8.95 (I think) for a cheeseburger, fries and a beer. The burger is huge and you can get pepper jack cheese (a perk). More fries than any human should eat, but I didn't waste even one. I've found that after 1:00 during the week it's pretty empty, but the service is still good. Small town bar in a quaint downtown--I hope that area takes off eventually; there are some cool buildings down there. This is a good spot.

This is one of those places that totally surprises you. We walked in just looking to grab a quick burger. It has a very dive bar atmosphere with some of the friendly service I have ever had. The owner was on staff and making his rounds all while backing the bar and helping serve food. Really great local feel to this restaurant. If you were in the area I highly recommend you stop by and grab a great burger, see some friendly faces, drink a good beer and have a great time.

Food is great. The burgers and buffalo burgers are great. They were cooked perfect, not over done. Helen the bartender makes a really good "Bloody Mary" We will go back for the burgers.

An Erie local favorite. Old beat up bar atmosphere with great food. The burgers are huge and delicious, fries are great and I stop by often for the fried catfish.

I've lived in Erie for 8 years, and I'd never been to Miners Tavern. Shame on me. I took my 8 year-old daughter there for lunch on a Saturday, and was blown away. Both of us were very happy with our meals. I had one of the best burgers ever (no joke). It was like meat candy. My daughter had the club sandwich, and loved it. She even told the waitress. Now that they have a garage door in the front, I'll have to come down for a beer sometime soon1

Good food, prompt service. The waitstaff is rather to-the-point, without much chatting, but is polite and efficient. The burgers are good, with veggies (carrots and celery) as an alternate side to fries. Nothing here is glamorous, but what they do, they do well.

Our bartender Helen was very nice, but the overall experience was not great. The bar was empty and I got a very creepy vibe.

I love this place, the staff and food are amazing. Like most places in Old Town Erie, it is very kid and family friendly. The menu is pretty basic tavern food, but let me say that after two years of searching for a Portillo's burger replacement in CO, I've finally found it. Amazing, char-grilled burgers, big enough to split with my husband, and also said to be from a local source right here in Erie. I feel slightly blasphemous, but I might even like these burgers more than Portillo's, and they come with a massive pile of fries. It's an old style, kind of beat up bar feel. None of the tables or chairs match, the paint is rubbing off of the concrete floor. Might sound shady but all put together with the atmosphere it makes for a pretty neat, relaxed, home-town feel. It's always been clean and neat.

Miners Tavern is the greatest. Great atmosphere and people. Locals and newcomers are as friendly as can be. The food is excellent ( thank you, Jessie) and Lee, the owner, does a magnificent job running his bar. The bartenders are very social but tend to business first. I love this place because it is genuine, not the yuppie bars that cater to specific groups of people.

An Erie institution. Miner's Burgers are fantastic. BBQ Cheddar is my favorite. The Green Chili Burger is really good as well. Great beer selection.

This is a 100% local establishment. You will be passed over for karaoke Friday in a heartbeat if a local requests to be on center stage. Beer selection is descent but if it's all you have, then it's really all you have right.?

I just wanted to update my previous review as we have stopped by here for a burger every time we have a chance and are near Erie. It is great that they have these huge garage doors that they can open during the summer months. We got a chance to meet Lee, the owner, and what a great guy! He was so friendly and makes the best burgers in the Denver Metro! You gotta try the burger. They have a local butcher, and the meat is out of this world good! Right now they have a special on Tuesdays with like an burger and beer for $8.95 or something like that, and $3 drafts. Nice Colorado tap selection as well.

Had to check out the burgers everyone raves about.. Not much to rave about, the burgers are average at best and had a slight flavor of burnt lighter fluid. Fries were also soggy and flavorless. Seems like a good place for a local dive drink, but cannot suggest the food.

A+. I love the dive bar feel with great comfort food. Our waiter was really cool. He encouraged me to try a different beer than I had originally ordered just to support a smaller brewery. I agreed with him and changed my order. Also, the green chili here was amazing with great spice. They were also doing karaoke- great entertainment. We'll be back.
