I'm not sure of many places that serve congee, but this is definitely my go-to place for late night congee! Open til 10pm Sun-Thurs & 3am Fri- Sat. I sure did satisfy my congee craving yesterday night at 9:30pm without having to slave over a pot of rice cooking for 4+ hours! I ordered the 'Chao Long' (Southern Vietnamese pork rice soup). It came with pork blood and pork intestines! Another rarity to find in some asian restaurants nowadays!

I love eating at mom and pop restaurants. I especially love the restaurants that look like there were hardly any renovations done to it. Golden Pho and Grill checks those two boxes. It's a great almost hole in the wall Vietnamese joint that has extremely low prices. I got to see the meat plate which all looked good and the pho was standard looking. I ate the pork noodle bowl and was delighted with the meat quality and flavor. Don't expect much ambiance or great decor. This place is focused on the food.

Reviewing from a vegetarian standpoint. I wish that more pho places would take vegetarian diners more seriously. Just because we don't eat meat doesn't mean we don't have tastebuds! The pho was bland. Even with everything I could add in, it was bland. I expect that the veggie broth was plain, with no roasted ginger, onions, or anise. It was also cheap, so I give them 3 stars. If you have a small budget and are in the neighborhood, this may be the place for you. Plenty of fresh veggies provided, included cilantro.

I'm so jealous that Denver citizens get so many pho places to choose from. There should be an app to choose which pho place to try next. This is among one of my favorite new finds. Great authentic pho and friendly staff. Check it out. Cheers...

Truly - a delight Vietnamese eatery. The only unusual part of our experience was the whole staff seated and watching tv when we arrived. It's not that we expect them to greet us at the door, but just saying something would be effective. I was nervous we were intruding on their after hours, past closing time, but was relieved they were still serving delicious bowls after delicious bowls of the best thing on earth: pho. The service was fast, just like the food delivery. The broth was rich and robust and the pork spring rolls were pretty generous portions. All in all - this is a legit pho spot that I'm sure we will frequent more and more. Their late hours make it easy to put this place on the top of my list!

This dish I ate had my name all over it! If you don't know me, I love love anything that is in a roll form. So being that I like to eat my bun and all, but to have this platter where it's a bun dish into a roll form? I'm all over it! Nicely thought of! This brings a bit of uniqueness to the place. You wrap your own as it comes with many diff types of meats to choose from and the fresh veggies to go with.

I'm always on the lookout for new pho places...it's about time I changed up my routine. The first thing I ever got here was the porridge, when I was fighting a nasty cold a few months back. I loved it so much I decided to come back and get the pho next time. My friend and I (we like to think of ourselves as viet food connoisseurs) loved the pho so much we put this on the regular rotation. Their bun bo hue is pretty spectacular, as is their grilled noodle bowls and rice plates. The pho broth is the real star of the show though- it beats out my old favorites by a long shot. Not to mention the prices- a small is only $5.50. I haven't found a cheaper bowl with this quality in quite some time. Also, their service- it has a real family feel to it, super friendly, always smiling, and you'll never wait for a table! Check it out if you're looking for a new pho/viet food joint on S Federal, you will not be disappointed!

It was good and open late. We had the shrimp and pork fresh rolls, the imperial rolls, and the pho with rare and brisket. All was good. Broth was excellent, but meat was tough, the brisket in specific. There are no crab cheese wontons, as the insane person reviewed. I don't think Vietnamese restaurants even really serve much in the way of dairy. Most Asians are lactose intolerant. You can find BBQ,Pho, role etc. Still searching for my pho jam.

Don't be fooled by the 5 star status! These were not the best crab cheese wontons that another person said in a review. The pho does not deserve the 5 star stats, to sweet. Service was good, but the food wasn't worth me coming to when there are 4 1/2 star locations in the same area.

The food here taste great and is always fresh. I went here for two consecutive days and ordered Pho. Their serving is good, more than what one would pay for. Plus their Thai Ice Tea is a sure hit.

Flavors were there. They did what others don't... They included the sprouts and basil in my to go box. They also gave me plenty of sciracha and hoison as requested. The only reason I dropped a star was because I specifically asked when I called if they had soft tofu and veggie pho and they said yes. And when I ordered I repeated that I wanted soft tofu and when I got back to my hotel and opened it, my tofu was fried and chewy. The language barrier is an issue.

Love this place. This is my go to place on the weekends when I want to eat late with my girl and friends. The Pho broth is delicious. Grilled shrimp springroll is fantastic.

Definitely our go to place for Pho Friday for my husband and I. The pho broth is the best I've had. the noodles are chewy, never mushy. To top it all of the owners are super friendly!

Holy crap. This place is legit. The spring rolls I'm shoving in my face as I write this might be the best ones I've ever had. I'm not sure what makes them so good, maybe the sauce? Maybe they're made with the dreams of children? IDK, anyways the real treat is the pho. Sweet baby Jesus, it's delicious. Broth is perfectly balanced and flavorful. Good portions too. The service is quick and friendly. This is my new spot!

No joke -- this place is consistently good. My partner and I have been patrons since before the ownership change, and the food just got better, and the prices are legit. My large pho bowl always lasts me two meals, and the combination rice plates are fresh and perfectly grilled. They give you a heaping amount of veggies to put in the pho. This is our go-to Viet place.

This is my favorite Pho in Denver. Wonderful flavor w/ fresh ingredients. Staff are great and service is quick. The portion sizes are generous and the price is right. Many great pho places in Denver, Golden Pho and Grill is worth the stop!

We had dinner here and it was fabulous! The environment is unassuming but the customer service is exceptional. We wanted a Goi Ga salad but it wasn't on the menu. No problem, they made one specially for us and it was delicious. The Pho was tasty and came with lots of herbs and condiments and the appetizer plate was enough for three of us with leftovers to take home.

The Golden Pho & Grill has been open for just over one year now. I discovered it just by deciding to give a new place a try. My old stand by for the last dozen+ years has been the Saigon Bowl, but I like trying all the other VN places too. So the first time that I walked in there earlier this year, as soon as I enter the door the waitress starts naming off some of the foods I usually order. She had immediately recognized me from the Saigon Bowl. That is a great start in itself, where the waitress knows what you want and you don't have to go through particular things each time. I love Goi Cuon but I hate mint, so I have mine made with basil. She knew that instantly! The Golden Pho & Grill is just that, pho & grilled meats, not the super huge menus that you will find at Saigon Bowl, New Saigon and T Wa. My last time there was Monday, June 9, 2014 and I brought three friends with me. We split an order of Bahn Xeo as an appetizer, as the other three were quite curious about it after my description of it. Banh Xeo is a tradition southern Vietnamese treat, commonly called in the USA as the Vietnamese Pancake. It is nothing really like a pancake, but you can compare it to a crepe in a way. The "shell" of it is made of an egg batter and it comes out like a crispy crepe. Banh Xeo literally translates to "sizzling cake". It is filled with roasted pork, shrimp, bean sprouts and diced green onion. The ones at Golden Pho & Grill are quite large in size, filling one of their platters, so this can be a meal in itself! It is served with a plate of Romaine lettuce, slivered carrots and daikon, sliced cucumber and jalapeños. You then take a large lettuce leaf and use it as the tortilla of a burrito and you put some carrot, daikon, cucumber and peppers to the lettuce leaf and then a chuck of the Banh Xeo and you wrap that up as best you can with the lettuce leaf and then dip that into the fish sauce and stuff it into your mouth. It is messy, but good! We also had Goi Cuon, which is like a small burrito that has a rice paper shell. Rolled up inside you will find roasted pork, shrimp, rice noodles, and leaves like mint, basil, cilantro, even maybe shredded lettuce. It is served cold and you usually dip that in a Hoisin sauce, chile sauce and chopped peanuts, but it could be served with a fish sauce instead. One of the three friends had Pho Ga, which is Pho (Traditional beef broth, beef and rice noodle soup) only Ga is chicken. The other two had the Com Dac Biet and I had the Bun Dac Biet. Dac Biet essentially means "super" or "combo with everything". Com = rice. So Com Dac Biet is a plate of grilled meats and rice. Grilled beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, VN egg rolls and an egg over easy. Bun = dry rice noodle in a bowl with cucumber and shredded lettuce on the bottom, then piled on top of that is the grilled meats, shrimp and egg rolls. No egg. And you dip it all in your small bowl of fish sauce via your chopsticks. Then they give you lots of basil, cilantro, purple leaves and chile sauces to add to it all the meals. We all had Chanh Muoi which is a traditional style Vietnamese lemonade to drink. Chanh = lime or lemon and Muoi = salt. Chanh Muoi is a pickled, salted lemonade that the pulp, basically all of the lemon or limes become part of the drink. It is something that I have been drinking for years and simply just love. The perfect summer time drink! On South Federal one certainly has plenty of choices for Vietnamese food, in fact there are four VN restaurants on this one side of the 1000 South Federal block! Even so, I can whole heartily recommend this great Vietnamese restaurant.

I've been to basically every Pho joint along South Federal. Generally, they all more or less run together. This isn't a criticism, but rather is due to the fact that most of the restaurants put out good quality food at a reasonable price. This weekend I went to Golden Pho & Grill and found a restaurant that just stuck out. This is a five star review as judged against this restaurant's direct competition. It's not fancy (and definitely not expensive), but really excels at what it does. The first time I go to a new Pho place I usually order Vietnamese eggrolls and a bowl of pho. This allows me to fairly compare tit for tat. This time I opted for the seafood pho, while my dining companion went for a combination noodle bowl. I, of course, tasted both, and was blown away by the quality and taste of the food. In a world of good pho, this bowl stood apart. It was light, but flavourful and delicious. The eggrolls were likewise quite good. Perhaps what impressed me the most regarding the food was that on both of our dishes, we received shrimp that were perfectly cooked. This is so rare among Vietnamese restaurants as they usually overcook them in the rush to get food out of the kitchen quickly. What is more, the wait staff was incredibly kind and friendly (although, to be fair, we were one of only two filled tables at the time), and went out of their way to provide good service. Golden Pho & Grill is not my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in town (that honour still goes to their neighbour across the street, Vietnam Grill because of the large size and authenticity of the menu), but for a quick bowl of pho, I haven't found a better place.

The food was fresh and tasted good. Service was good. Everything is new inside and looks better than most pho restaurants in the neighborhood . The only con was their booth tables are very uncomfortable to sit in.

After trying many numerous Vietnamese places on Federal Blvd. and in the Denver area I have to say this place is my favorite after eating here. My favorite dish is the Com Dac Biet and this place definitely has the best one I've tried. I've heard the original owners of Saigon Bowl own this place now and it was recommended that I try it from speaking to other Vietnamese business owners in Denver. My Vietnamese girlfriend also loves this place now as well and we will be eating here at least once a week now on most occasions after trying many other places since moving here about six months ago. The service is the best I've seen at Vietnamese places and the food is extremely fresh. The portion sizes are also very generous for the very fair prices. This place is also open until 3am on Friday and Saturday which makes it a great spot for late night eating. I would recommend any Vietnamese food fan give this place a try if they have not already. I've also heard the Pho is some of the best in town too!
