I will probably never get a chance to come here again, as i was here for work...but this place was awesome. It's pretty rare we stop at a place more than once on a trip, but we made sure to come back for a second visit to this awesome pub. Ill keep it short. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. If you like good comfort food, awesome craft beer (the black IPA was so great i didnt even try anything else), then this is the stop. keeping my fingers crossed i have to fly back to aspen, CO so i can go back again.

First of all, 1 star for the most expensive burger I've ever had outside of NY. ( I had a burger, no bun, add caramelized onions and green chilies.....which by the way was a tiny portion of add ons.....side salad instead of fries... Tiny side salad....$17 and change which brings me to 1 star for service....she didn't give me all my change back and was not an attentive server at all. She was nice but, nowhere to be found! There's nothing else to say....the burger and salad were ok...nothing memorable.....had my bill been $10-$12 I would come back and tell all my friends it's a great hang-out.... But, instead, what a rip-off!

I'm a fan of Carbondale Beer Works. On a resent trip to ski Aspen, I found this cool spot in Carbondale. The whole family had burger cravings and this looked like a place to try. I'm glad we did! Arriving we found it quite busy, in fact only one open table for 4, we had 3 so all was good. We were able to place our beer and soda orders quickly, the amber was excellent. I had a burger with blue cheese and bacon, my wife changed her mind from a burger to the "Brewben" their take on a Ruben (the corned beef braised in Stout, my son just a basic cheddar cheeseburger. All came with fries. The food quickly arrived and looked great, huge burgers on pretzel buns. It also tasted great, some of the best fries I had had in a long time. My wife loved the "Brewben". It's hard to find fault but if there is any I can only think of two: unless the outboor seating area is open it's small, seating can get very limited on a busy night. It's also a bit expensive, $12 for a basic burger and 50cents for each topping, still this is very high quality food so the price is hard to fault. In the end I look forward to returning. Recommended.

Great atmosphere. Good beer selection. The pulled pork sandwich dinner special was pretty good but not spectacular. The service was excellent.

Killer place for beer and a damn good wiener. They have 2 rotating taps of their in house brew and a variety of micro brews from around Colorado and the US. I would move in here if they would let me. I asked.

I just sat for 10mins, made eye contact with a server, and was ignored without acknowledgement the entire time.

The beer and service are always good, but I've been disappointed in the portion sizes lately. For a place that serves such an active community, I think their dinners should be a lot more substantial. We don't like paying for white space on a plate.

Horrible service and marginal food. Seems like the known locals get good service but good luck otherwise. Took 20 minutes to get a beer and then another 30 minutes to get the second. Marginal beer m. We do not recommend.

Came in to CBW at 3:00, between mean rushes. There were, maybe, a dozen other people. Most tables were empty. It took 10 minutes to get a menu. This was only after I went to the bar to inquire as to whether there was even table service. While waiting for a server, I tried to log on to the advertised free wifi. I was told by a barman, "Yeah, sometimes it works." Guess what? It did not. Then, I got my fish and chips. The fish was so undercooked that I couldn't even cut it. As a matter of recompense, I asked if they would turn on the audio of the March Madness game that was on the TV's. Nope. Steve Miller band it was, and would continue to be. I left and went to Whitehouse Pizza. The wifi works, the staff serves me, the food is cooked to temperature and - bonus - I can listen to the Duke game. CBW, you lost a patron.

We really could use something like this in Glenwood Springs- chill vibe, good beer, and (as of recently)- an awesome gourmet comfort food menu....all in one place. And occasionally live music too! What more could you want? Sure, the beer can get a little pricey- especially their guest beers. But not any more expensive than say, FreshCraft in Denver. Happy hour is $1 off their pours, I believe. Their Avalanche IPA is great, but other people must think so too- they've often run out when I stop in. But have no fear- they offer a pretty well-balanced tap board. Their service has always been consistently friendly. This is the kind of place that I would not hesitate to come in if I were by myself. Patio is great and always has room- I've never had to fight for a table.

*Attn: this is no longer a wienery* They have changed their entire menu to reflect a bistro. The 2 star rating is because of our wait time and lack of memorable food. We arrived at the same time as a 15 person party. No biggie. Except we waited over 10 minutes to be greeted. Then we were given menus. Took forever to get our beer. 48 minutes later (yes, I was watching), I had to approach the waitress. Where was our appetizer?! I understand the 'rush', but frankly I don't care. If the establishment can't handle that many orders at once, they shouldn't be in business. And the rest of the restaurant was already eating, so this should not have happened. The food was just okay. Actually, the fried pickles were gross. Sweet spears that had been fried. My chicken salad was nothing spectacular, and my husband's pork belly was blah. Totally not worth the spendy $70 we were charged. I should have put up a fight to get my money back (or not pay my full bill, rather). And management never came to see us despite my concern for the extremely long wait.

I loved it here! We came in for apps prior to dinner at another location. I wish we had stayed here! Service was amazing, our server was nice and knowledgable. He was friendly and fast. The food was delicious, pork rillette was AMAZING! Beer is so good! Loved the cream ales! I wish we had spent our night there and not left for that hyped up mediocre place down the street!

The wife and I stopped in to sample some beer. The beer was good. What really got our attention was the burnt ends Mac and cheese. That was awesome!

My husband and I just returned home from a long weekend in Carbondale. Carbondale Beer Works was just what were looking for after a long bike ride in the Roaring Fork Valley. A variety of draft beers, excellent food (I hesitate to call it bar food), and small town, friendly customer service. Leah, our bartendress, was so welcoming and helpful with questions. We stopped in twice during our visit in Carbondale! Thank you for exactly what were looking for! We'll look forward to stopping in on our next visit to Carbondale.

Really really really good! The "Coal Basin" Black IPA was super good and my locally raised beef burger and kale Cesar were made with love...

Never felt so unwelcome in a brewery. Yo Aaron- I'm not wasted. My eyes are red because my contacts are bothering me. 2 stars for really good beer. Beyond that, suck it, Trebek.

Lunch stop on our way to Aspen. Enjoyed a really good burger and kale salad. Nice selection of Colorado beers as well as their own. No wieners on the menu..they have done away with this but food is really good and very friendly service.

Food, beer, staff...all awesome. Wonderful burgers and mac & cheese special. Great craft brew, I could have stayed all day. A definite 'must visit' when in Carbondale.

Easily one of the best places to go for great drinks and fantastic food in the Roaring Fork Valley. They brew some really delicious micro brews, (and I've been to over 50 different microbreweries in Colorado and can still say they are delicious in comparison) as well as keep on tap some guest brews that are always fun and interesting to try out. There's a beer for every palate here, guaranteed. The food itself is worth writing home about. I've had their food a number of times now and it's always delicious, fresh, well-priced and filling (sometimes too filling since I just can't seem to stop myself even though I always tell myself I'll bring some home). I've had a number of their specials and food off of the regular menu and it's always incredible tasty food. They have all types of food options from rabbit food to hearty portions of slow-cooked or seared meat and mac. (By the way mac and cheese is house made and it's hard not for me to order every single time - sometimes comes with additions like slow cooked pulled pork or green chilies & onion). The bartenders are always quick, courteous and friendly and you can look into the kitchen from the bar and see that it's clean and the cooks obviously work as quickly as they can but also very hard on each dish they prepare. The employees care and the atmosphere is so comfortable. (They also have a few TVs around) Bottom Line: I love their beer but even if I didn't drink, I'd come for their food alone, it is that good.

Funny, this was our first stop in Carbondale and ended up being our last stop as well! They have great beers, tonight was "Open Mike Night" with actually talented musicians up there, great vibe! The deep fried pickles were a littttttle (ok, alot) too salty, but this place has an outdoor patio, wonderful chill employees and a great overall vibe!

So this place was listed in the brewery guide for Colorado but it doesn't seem like much of a brewery... more of a bar really. And the beer is not really astounding at all. Meh indeed.

Great beer selecion. Average beer food -- hot dogs, fries, and such. Cool bartenders.

When considering a visit to Carbondale Beer Works, it's important to know what it's not. It's not 5 star dining, it's not 100 beers on tap, and it's not a winery. It's a weinery, and they serve hot dogs, not pinot. Okay, with that out of the way, let's talk about what Carbondale Beer works IS. It's a cool little place with good beer, friendly service, and a pleasant patio. They usually have 4 or 5 of their own beers on tap with 4 or 5 guest beers that are quite good. I tend to like hoppy beers, and there's always at least one IPA on the list (including their Avalanche IPA, which we like quite a bit). Again, it's not a place you describe with superlatives, but does every place have to be the biggest or the best? My wife and I always enjoy stopping by and having a beer or two when we're in Carbondale. In our opinion, not every brewery or tap room needs to have a big, obnoxious crowd or a huge selection. The bartenders are always nice, and it's a good place to chill and enjoy the evening. Works just fine for us! Check the hours before your go.

The spicy dog I had was tasty, but not for approx. $9. The fryer was broken, so no fries. The beer was good! The food is a little pricey for what you get!
