The best lunch spot anywhere. I eat lunch here 5 days per week +. Fresh eats and healthy choices. Start with the Pesto Wrapture and work your way through every item on the menu, enjoy!

Great, filling food for on the go! For $8 you get a hearty wrap. Cash only, but they do have an ATM you can use.

Getting the pesto wrap with grilled veggies (instead of meat) made up for my terrible meal from CP Burger I got a few days earlier. Really great food and very reasonably priced, especially for Aspen. The owners should really look into using a Square credit card reader if they have an iPhone. It's 2012, it's time to accept credit cards!

I enjoyed the "What's Up Doc Wrap" almost as much as I hated ordering it by that name. It was a delicious Greek wrap with hummus, Greek olives, sprouts and feta cheese. It was a great, quick lunch - until the whole thing fell apart halfway through. But they have a really nice variety of wraps and salads, even if the seating is limited to a couple counters.

This is one of my lunchtime staples. The Babs-e-que is an unbelieveable wrap of Corn, Chipotle, Chicken/Steak and Mashers that will blow your socks off. And the best part is, the wraps are so big, I usually save half for later. The smoothies are also the best in Aspen. Beautifully balanced, and they will even make you a custom one if you aren't feeling one of the drinks on the menu. They also have a special wrap of the day, with Thursday being my favorite, The Pilgrim. A Thanksgiving feast of a wrap, filled with turkey, mashers, cranberry sauce and gravy. Oh yeah.

Big Wrap is the BOMB! Best salsa in Aspen. Get it hot. I love the Swift Kick wrap. The chips and smoothies are great too! It's kinda hard to find this place, but it is right across the street from the Gondola Plaza. Go down the set of stairs by the sidewalk and get your grub on. They DO NOT take credit cards so bring cash.

I love the Wrap. Do not be intimidated by the line out the door at lunch time. It moves quickly. Better yet, call ahead and go right to the cash register to pick up your order. Any wrap on the menu can be made without the tortilla and served as a "salad." I always get the "To Thai For" wrap, but I also enjoy the tacos as well as the citrus-lime tortilla chips. The smoothies are excellent, too.

I have been working in Aspen for several weeks and trying out lots of great lunch places. This place came highly recommended and the food delivered at a great value. I had a the fajita burrito and it was great! I would have rated it higher but the customer service was the WORST I have had in a long time. The staff making the food had terrible attitudes (something that I was also warned about prior to my visit) and my order wasn't even customized!

This is one of the few restaurants in Aspen where you feel you get what you pay for. It is a reasonably priced restaurant that serves fresh food that is delicious. As good as any salad place in the financial district in San Francisco. I have had 3 salads: the greek, the original and the southwest. I ponder which one to order every day. Love them all. Maybe one day I will expand, but for now I am happy with all three

I have been trying to re-create the Pesto Wrapture at home with a medium success rate. It is seriously the best wrap I've ever had! OK, so, all the times I went there, I always got the Pesto Wrapture because I can't get over the cilantro salsa, but my friends were all really happy with their wraps too. It's small and cute and the staff is super friendly. Love it!

I don't know if I just had this place hyped up too much in my mind or what. The Big Wrap has a huge reputation in Aspen. I thought the food was good, but I wasn't overly impressed. I ordered the Mexican wrap because I wanted something as close to a burrito as possible. They got the wrong beans and salsa in there but I gotta give them credit because they redid it as soon as I went back up. What's up with not taking credit cards! I saw at least 1 or 2 people enter and leave because of this. Luckily I was prepared because I roll with a fat wad. OK, not really but I lucked out today. I gave them an extra star for being right in the middle of Aspen and maintaining a pretty sweet culture in their small deli style shop. The bare brick interior was cool and they have bar type seating along the wall and windows.

My wrap at The Big Wrap was quite possibly the only meal during my stay in Aspen that I did not feel guilty about and still enjoyed! I grew up eating wraps and I thoroughly enjoyed mine, The Garden of Eden. It had veggies and quinoa wrapped around a spinach wrap and was so delish! I was looking forward to the smoothie, but was disappointed. I believe I ordered the Kauai (or something like that), and felt like I could taste frozen fruit. The place is quite small, so my friends and I had to sit outside but no complaints there- there are benches outside.

Only affordable, quality, lunch place in town. Cash only is a pain, but whatever.

  • Jason K.

All I can say is the woman at the counter was extremely rude and short. She visibly got mad when my girlfriend asked her what other types of sauces they have and made some snide comment about "well that's the sauce that goes on it so..." I guess this is acceptable in Aspen? Lame.

This tiny, cash only, wrap, salad, taco, and smoothie shop is the best food value in Aspen. By tiny, I mean there are 8 barstools for indoor seating. By value, I mean Chipotle like prices in a town where even lunch is $15 - $25 per person. But value is not the real story here, flavor is. Each of the wraps are distinct, interesting, and well done. Braised tofu and roasted vegetables are first class core options so vegetarians can feel like first class customers. Seems every time I walk by the Big Wrap, there is a line, but it moves fast. If you want some tasty food, now, and think eating lunch on a shady bench with a friend is better than inside trying to talk over TV, you will love this place.

The Big Wrap is one of the few places in Aspen where the people who live here can afford to eat at. At lunch time, this place gets a long line out the door, and it moves very slowly. There are plenty of unique options to choose from, but I choose to follow Yelp and go with the Pesto Wrapture. It was around $7.50 pre-tax. Honestly, the Big Wrap is pretty much just a Chipotle but locally owned. Everything kind of tastes the same, and the quality is about the same. Only complaint was that the pesto was unevenly spread and very overwhelming in places. However, the quality of the ingredients were good. Not the first place I go for lunch, and as they close at 6, not a place to ever go for dinner. However, a fine choice if the line is short and you have cash on you.

Decent flavorful food. I had a vegetable medley with rice and mild and hot sauce which was pretty good. Good place if you like the chipotle style food and want something quick and inexpensive to go.

This is a lunch review. Veggie sandwich w side salad on panini. It comes on 6 grain bread. Pretty quaint little basement spot, as in 4x8 space. It's not about good seating. It's about the good tasting sandwiches. That's what The Big Wrap is great for. So glad we peeked in. They are underneath in the back corner.

In a town where just about everything is overpriced, The Big Wrap keeps its prices small and its wraps big. I went there at lunchtime on a Tuesday in the summer and the line was out the door and up the stairs; I can only imagine the crowds at lunch on a weekend during ski season. Their menu has enough to please every palette. I had their Thai wrap and it was quite tasty and huge. Half the wrap would have made a meal and all for under $10 - unheard of in Aspen! While the wrap wasn't the best I ever had, it was good and for the price, it was excellent! No wonder the lines are out the door. While I didn't eat at every restaurant in town, I did hit quite a few and this is one of only two restaurants where I actually thought the food was not a rip off. Btw, I noticed that people were picking up to-go orders at the register so you might be able to call in and avoid the line.

This place is awesome. They have wonderful wraps and great smoothies. I come to this place a lot and the food is always good. The people who work here are so nice. The lines tend to get long buts it's worth it. If it is the weekend you should probably phone order if your not up for the lines. I like the mister potato head wrap. I am vegan and they are fine with you adding things and taking out things. You should come to this place.

Delicious. Great bang for your buck. Many good choices, though they all seem to share an underlying flavor. Ordered from the top of Ajax mountain before the last run, and food was waiting for me at the bottom! Huge portions, so I was able to get 3 meals out of it. Stayed fresh-tasting for a few days in the fridge.

Love this place. They have the best burritos. Pesto wrapture, To thai for, Swift kick...all awesome! There's a reason why this place is always packed. They have great smoothies as well. Just remember that they only take cash or checks. No credit cards.

I was lucky enough to be able to go to The Big Wrap with my sister and was able to have my wrap halvsies thus allowing for a two tastes for one deal. We tried the Chow Baby and the Pesto Wrapture. I wasn't impressed with the Chow Baby, with pickled baby corn and really lacking that kick I expected (should've gone for the Swift Kick!). I'd go back for the Pesto Wrapture, it had all the flavors I expected with a spicy note. I chose to get my black beans on the side as well and don't think it detracted from the wrap (they're a little void of flavor). Expect a line to the door even in off season and the true Aspen attitude. Also, it's $.80 for a side of hot sauce so make sure you order it extra spicy if desired. It's cash or check only and unless you're a big hungry go for wrap or smoothie, both is a bit of a rough combination according to a friend we were sitting with. They also have quite the variety of fancy sodas, if you're feeling classy try the grapefruit Sanpellegrino, it's delicious and adds a true compliment to the Pesto Wrapture!

Came here to grab breakfast. All their wraps are about $7.50 each. You can build your own wrap or chose from their list. I got their Thai wrap and was not impressed :( It was soggy, rice was clumpy and tasted bland. No matter how much I added hot sauce it didn't taste good. Thai sauce was dripping and made it difficult to eat the wrap. Parking is on the street. They do not take card and CASH or check only. They do have an ATM inside and charge you about $2 per transaction. Limited bar seats inside the shop and plenty of outdoor bench seats.

    (2)
  • Julie C.

I did not try the wrap here I tried the tacos. And to be honest it lacked a lot of flavour. I got two carnita tacos with everything on it and now I kind of I asked for hot sauce on the size or something. The food was bland but I can tell it was at least for the most part fresh... maybe their wraps are different. Some local Aspen kids came barging in half way through my order screaming for a "chopstick wrap". So maybe I jsut chose to eat the wrong thing.

If you give this place less than 5 stars, maybe you need to go hug a puppy. Or if you're allergic, a tree. Or why not both! It took a bit of navigation to find The Wrap (google maps fails me sometimes). And I didn't want to be THAT girl, tourist with a map, scratching my head, asking for directions. But, eureka! We had found it. I asked the guy behind the counter who might come off as a bit intimidating which he recommended - the Thai or the Babs-es-que. He said, "Oh man, those are both my favorite!" Being that I have a small (small) obsession with mashed potatoes, I got the Babs. I chose it with steak. OHHHHHELLOFLAVOR! TASTEBUDSSOHAPPYTHEYDOADANCE! The only reason why I HATE this place is because it's not in NY. Sad face. Cash only, and the wraps are about $7 a pop. Wash it down with a clementine Izze and you got yourself an amazing little lunch.

In a city where you are spending a fortune on every meal, it's a breath of fresh air to find a place like the big wrap. Great prices for a lot of good! The wraps are about 7.50 but can really feed two people! I had the to Thai for wrap. So good! Even better with Siracha sauce :) my husband had the Hail Caesar and ate the entire thing. Highly recommend! Just remember, cash or check only!

I was given an order from a local Aspen business who wanted wraps for lunch. As much as I wanted to order I found out they do not accept any credit cards. I find this hilarious that a business would turn down business to save a few bucks on their credit machine.

  • John S.

Terrible attitude by two of workers. One, was a big guy with a black beard. The other was a middle aged woman that looked like she didn't want to be there. I ordered three steak tacos and the rude woman said they were out of steak and it would take a "while" to heat up the steak. I just ordered the chicken instead to avoid the delay. After ordering, the cashier/smoothie lady yelled out "does anyone in line want a smoothie?" I said yes but she took the order of the person behind me first instead. The food was edible but nothing to write home about and certainly not worth putting up with the terrible attitudes of some of the workers. I guess the old saying is correct, you get what you pay for. Avoid this place.

Great place for a cheap lunch or snack, which is a nice change of pace in Aspen. Had the wrapzilla, really good. No complaints about the food or the price. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 are two fold: (1) Service is a tad slow, only two people in front of me, but was waiting too long, and (2) they don't take debit or credit cards. That is just unacceptable. Get a freaking merchant account already and conduct business in the 21st century.

    (4)
  • Rachel R.

Wrapzilla with turkey, dotted with bacon, sprouts and raspberry vinaigrette (not drenched but just right), subbed guac for pico- top notch! "Kuaui Not?" smoothie fresh, tasty and large. CASH or check only, atm on site. Tiny place but benches out front.

We stopped by here for a quick lunch one day, not knowing exactly what to expect. My wife wasn't really hungry so she had a smoothie. I on the other hand went for the Thai themed wrap. It was really delicious, flavored with a sort of spicy peanut sauce. All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and it was assembled right away. The eat in dining area is quite small however, consisting of only a small amount of stools along a bar against the wall. I think there may also be a few outside tables but it was raining the day we were there. Overall, I'd say definitely check it out.

The Big Wrap is my favorite place for lunch when I'm working. They deliver which is a plus because most days I don't have time to leave the spa. Also, their food is always fresh, healthy and consistently great tasting. Babs and her team will make anything you want and aren't bothered by substitutions. Any meal can be made vegan, gluten free (ask for a wrap in a bowl if you don't tolerate gluten), Paleo or whatever the new diet trend might be. Any salad can also be made into a wrap as well if you need to "eat on the run". I can say that after eating there for over 10 years, I still love and enjoy every bite. I especially love the South West salad, the To Thai For and any and all of her soups. Especially the black bean soup. It is so creamy, I don't know how they make it so smooth. Happy eating!

  • Carrie P.

The wraps here are absolutely delicious and the food is well-priced. I cannot give this place 5 stars, however, because it is rather ill-equipped to handle its lunchtime crowd. The first time I went, I stood in line for almost an hour to get a wrap that took about 5 minutes to make. The second time, I called in ahead of time, to avoid the long wait in the line. I was told over the phone that it would take 35 minutes for my order to be ready. I gave them some extra time and showed up about 50 minutes later... they didn't start to put my order together until I got there. It took them just a few minutes to do so, so I don't understand the long wait times. It seems to me they are understaffed to handle their customer load. Also, keep in mind that they have limited hours of service and accept cash only. The food, however, is yummy and worth it!

I love this place so much- the lunch hour gets pretty crazy lines so keep that in mind, but the staff are kick-ass, the food is awesome & fresh, & they will even deliver in town! Probably the best value meal you can get in aspen. I just wish they were open late!!

We were in Aspen for a week and went here three times. It's a perfect compact meal to bring to the top of a hike, or enjoy after skiing (beware though, it closes relatively early... 6pm I think). It's almost funny how cheap these wraps are ($6-8) compared to the rest of the fare in Aspen. For the price of a few dumplings at any Asian restaurant in Aspen, you can get a wrap the size of your face at the Big Wrap.

We are here for the summer and stumbled into the big wrap for a place for me and my kids to have a mellow delicious lunch. The menu is great and great prices! My kids devoured their tacos and I had the big salad which was delicious. We plan to go several times a week so I can try everything on the menu --- fabulous!

Had the Thai wrap and lime chips with guacamole. They were excellent. But you lose a star for not taking credit cards. Oh but don't worry. They have an ATM on site for a $2 fee. Sounds like a scam to me.

What more could you want. The bacon was really crisp. The wrap selection and quality of ingredients is top notch. Small place that makes great use of its space in the high rent Aspen downtown. Red white and blue smoothie hit the spot. Fast, delicious and good prices for Aspen.

Yelp led us here for lunch in the off-season, and while we weren't expecting anything special we left unhappy. The menu is super heavy on flour tortillas (that were instantly soggy), beans and rice. Maybe as a mid-ski carb booster it would be a good idea? It only took a few minutes to prepare our lunch, but it was flavorless and mushy. While it was a good deal for Aspen, no amount of money was worth it for a lunch that ended up mostly in the trash after our serious efforts to eat as much of it as possible.

CASH ONLY! I am still dreaming of the Pesto Wrapture.... My new favorite! This particular wrap (or burrito) is super delicious! It has rice, black beans, you can get tofu or chicken and your choice of salsa and of course, pesto spread. I went with medium salsa and it's my favorite type of salsa... with lots of corn! The price is ridiculously awesome, especially we're talking about Aspen! $6.70 before taxes and tips and you can get it in a bowl rather than the wrap if you're not a tortilla fan. The portion definitely will fill you up. They give you plenty even though the price is so nice! This is by far the best 'fast food' I've ever had.. I loved it way more than your typical Qdoba or Chipotle places. Definitely a place to stop in if you are ever in Aspen... easy on your pocket book!

You can try (and fail) to find a more delicious value for money in Aspen. Obviously the Pesto Wrapture is the go-to, but after a few times on that ride, don't be afraid to branch out. The wraps are quality. That said, just enjoy the owner's severe demeanor. I like to think of her as "The Burrito Nazi" and then her bluntness just seems endearing. Definitely plan on take away, eating in the park or in the comfort of your own home! There are a few benches out front but no tables, so awkward to eat at.

All of my Aspen friend, when visiting Cali, have to stop at In N Out. When I am in Aspen this is my must eat "fast" food spot. Fresh, healthy, local, fast, and affordable. The must eats are the tacos, To Thai For, and the Pesto Wrapture. Be aware they do not take plastic so buck up and have a little cash in your pocket!

We went here twice during our trip in Aspen, and I must say that I left satisfied each time! I tried the pesto burrito and the to Thai for burrito, and both are at a toss-up for best meal in Aspen! This place is cheap, fast, and very versatile, and makes chipotle look just sad. My only qualm is that the burritos are a tad messy, and each time my burrito began to drip uncontrollably before I could finish it.

  • Jeff S.

I am a BIG fan of the Big Wrap - beyond the speedy, efficient service, everything on the menu is outstanding. Babs, the friendly owner, told me that with the exception of ranch dressing and tortillas, everything is made from scratch in-house which certainly lends to the fresh nature of all the food. My favorite item on the menu remains the Pesto Wrapture which is essentially a basil pesto chicken (or tofu) burrito with rice, beans and a choice of salsa, cheese, etc. The fruit smoothies are custom made and outstanding - a nice mid afternoon snack. The Big Wrap is an Aspen institution and should not be missed by visitors or locals. . .

This is my favorite place to get some grub in the valley, hands down. My ultimate favorite: Pesto Wrapture It's vegetarian friendly and have tons of options. It's right by Aspen's ski lift so you can just walk over for lunch after a day of skiing/snowboarding or shopping in the summer. CASH ONLY. Well worth the walk to the ATM if you don't have cash on you!

The price was oh, so nice! What a great value for a city town like Aspen. Followed the tip to pre-call in our order. That was awesome. It was ready for us when we got there. I tried three wraps with two others and here's our favorites in order: Best - Wrapzilla Really, really good - What's Up Doc? Good (but not in comparison) - Garden of Eden. The Wrapzilla is jam packed full of flavor! That sweet raspberry sauce is tasty! The What's up Doc? Was a little too wet but the taste was great. The Garden of Eden didn't compare to the taste of the others, good in its own right though. The free, self serve water was a nice touch. There IS an ATM machine on site (realize it looks more like a credit card transaction machine used in stores). The service was acceptable. Nothing overly friendly. They were very busy and I assume they usually are.

I really liked this place. Cool, different wraps with nice fresh ingredients. Incredible value considering the location. The Rock My World... um, it rocked my world! My only issue with it was that they do a ton of call-ahead orders which makes the line move incredibly slowly. Awesome place though!!!

After my 2nd day of skiing, and trying not to eat anything on the mountain so I wouldn't have to stop... I pulled into the gondola area of AJAX mountain absolutely starving. I was with my cousin and boyfriend and we had eaten breakfast, but nothing since and we all trotted over to The Big Wrap. I got the What's up Doc wrap, my cousin got the Pesto Wrapture, and my boyfriend had the BABS-B-Que. We all seemed to devour our wraps. Mine was filled with hummus, feta, israeli veggies (tomato, cucumber, onion) and some other great added goodies. The Pesto Wrapture tasted like a healthier (sort of) version of a burrito. The Pesto Wrapture had beans, salsa, rice, pesto, chicken and some more toppings. The BABS B Que had mashed potatoes, steak, and other delicious flavors packed into a small wrap. We all finished our HUGE wraps...and afterwards I was definitely satisfied.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing... but my food sucked! It was crunchy, sugary, and COLD. I hated it. The location of this place is great and people are nice. But I've had better. Meh.

Fantastic wraps, reasonably priced. One of the only decent places in the core for lunch. Pesto wrap with hot sauce is a go to. Honest to god decent food which is a rarity in Aspen.

This is a great place for a quick, cheap, healthy lunch. My boyfriend and I stopped in after a sweaty Bikram class this morning. We were starving and dehydrated, so I was very thankful for the water and cups I was able to help myself to, as well as the fast and efficient service. The bf and I split the What's up Doc wrap, along with a smoothie. The person serving us was really sweet about cutting the wrap in half, along with giving us our smoothie in two cups. I was totally full and satisfied with my meal and it came out to about $12 total, so I'd have to say the best deal in town I've yet to find. Yes - they only accept cash, but I'm used to that having lived in SF and NY.

AWESOME value for Aspen! I got the Mediterranean wrap with couscous. Very tasty! The wrap was huge! I also got a smoothie that was good, but was not as smooth as I expected. It was runny like the drinks you used to get at the old Orange Julius'. Still good, just not what I expected.

Awesome wraps! I got the pesto wrapture. Huge wraps for $7, you could share, but they are so good you won't want to.

My new favorite lunch spot! The chicken tacos are the best, and don't forget the citrus corn chips, yum.

Always great, fresh food... Worth waiting in line but if I were the owner, I would find a way to speed up the ordering process. It could double their business.

Pleasantly surprised. Shared a Mr. Potato Head with my girlfriend. At first I wanted something with meat, but this one tasted really good. Staff is really friendly. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Aspen.

Local hole with fresh food. They are known for their wraps but have other alternatives like fish tacos and salads. The wraps are good, not great. Worth a try.

All I can say is the woman at the counter was extremely rude and short. She visibly got mad when my girlfriend asked her what other types of sauces they have and made some snide comment about "well that's the sauce that goes on it so..." I guess this is acceptable in Aspen? Lame.

I was given an order from a local Aspen business who wanted wraps for lunch. As much as I wanted to order I found out they do not accept any credit cards. I find this hilarious that a business would turn down business to save a few bucks on their credit machine.

  • Hema K.

Decent flavorful food. I had a vegetable medley with rice and mild and hot sauce which was pretty good. Good place if you like the chipotle style food and want something quick and inexpensive to go.

Love this place. They have the best burritos. Pesto wrapture, To thai for, Swift kick...all awesome! There's a reason why this place is always packed. They have great smoothies as well. Just remember that they only take cash or checks. No credit cards.

What more could you want. The bacon was really crisp. The wrap selection and quality of ingredients is top notch. Small place that makes great use of its space in the high rent Aspen downtown. Red white and blue smoothie hit the spot. Fast, delicious and good prices for Aspen.

  • Adam E.

I really liked this place. Cool, different wraps with nice fresh ingredients. Incredible value considering the location. The Rock My World... um, it rocked my world! My only issue with it was that they do a ton of call-ahead orders which makes the line move incredibly slowly. Awesome place though!!!

  • Alex D.
