I read the review about the falafel, so I was pretty excited to try it. But it wasn't that great. I think it could be great if they made it more flavor-forward with the spices. Loved the texture, the bun, and the condiments. The falafel itself just needed a little more oomph in the flavor department.

The truffle fries were to die for here and came in such a huge quantity you could definitely share. I tried a sweet potato fry as well - really tasty! I had the tuna burger. It was really tasty - very fresh and light. I wish there was more sauce on it...it had a little zing but I felt like it could use a bit more to make it really flavorful. The service was very quick and the milkshake was super tasty. I liked sitting outside watching the kids play putt-putt while we ate. With the great summer weather in Aspen I could sit out there all day! The meal was a bit on the pricey side though. I feel like with my truffle fry and milk shake upgrade mine was around $18...touch price to swallow for a burger and fries but I felt it was more worth it for the fresh fish.

Wow. Simply a great Burger with high quality ingredients. Try the Tuna Burger as a "Non Moo" option. Great touch with the names on the orders where else can you hear Colin Powell and Justin Bieber names called in the same location.

CP Burger is delicious! It definitely is a gourmet burger joint that has a laid back vibe-- they don't take themselves too seriously with you can see with the order names they assign each customer [i.e. Hilary Clinton, Eddie Murphy, etc] You will be happy ordering as much or as little as you want, as everything is packed with flavor. The truffle fries are fantastic, and Kale salad [a popular dish in Aspen] is light and yummy. I wish I was only a few months older so I could try their spiked milkshakes! What a thing to have on a menu for such a family-friendly hot spot! CP Burger has local investors which is nice to know, as it is the Aspen version of being family-owned.

Tasty burger but small in size. The tuna burger with wasabi sauce is special.

Had a great late lunch here! I thought it was really creative of them to use "celebrity" names for the orders, seemed to make everyone smile when "Ryan Seacrest" was paged for their burger. There was a good variety on the menu, and the service was quick and the food tasted very fresh. I had a chicken burger and the sweet potato fries, and the fries were cooked perfectly. You get the added bonus of watching the ice skaters while you dine, which was quite amusing. Give it a go!

Great to have burger joint in town, and one that you could almost compare to In-N-Out Burger!! The burger is really tasty. the sauce has a lot of flavor. The fries are really good as well. They have Parmesan fries that are really good. For Aspen this place is actually kind of affordable a simple burger around $6 add fries and drink and tax, maybe around $10 to $12 depending on what fries you get. They also serve alcohol! Highly recommend this place!

My burger sucked and the children helping us behind the counter sucked. The meat just isn't that good. Also had the grilled chicken. It was described as rubbery. Truffle fries were about the only thing that was semi decent.

This place has some great food! If you are looking for a great place for a lunch, or a different dinner, check this place out. Their burgers are great tasting and their hot dogs are pretty tasty as well. Here is what I ate: hamburger with bacon, onions, and blue cheese (A+) hot dog with sauerkraut, relish, and onions (A) parmesan truffle fires (A+) Tater tots (B) I WAS VERY FULL! Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Menu: 4.5/5

I can't help but smile when I go to CP Burger. The fun music, the staff, and the excellent food always make for a good time. My favorite is the falafel burger, and I am NOT a vegetarian. Hint for families with young kids: this is a great place to bring the kids even if you don't mini-golf in the summer or ice skate in the winter -- it is off the street so your kids can run around in the green space outside while you sip on your shake and catch up with family or friends.

Great burger concept! Summit burger - caramelized onions/bleu cheese - delicious! The truffle fries were to die for and they have a great selection of local/unique beers. My kids loved the milkshakes (they even have adult versions w/Bailey's, etc.) The best part about the place is the service - nice guys and quick!

Ate here after a concert on Ajax. Open late which is a huge plus. Has a great ahi tuna burger with kale. Also have adult milkshakes which are a nice addition to a menu. Have amazing truffle fries. Give you a celebrity name instead of a number....adds to the fun atmosphere.

Both my veggie burger and truffle fries were hard and cold. For what I got the price definitely wasn't worth it. Seems like a poor attempt at trying to copy Larkburger.

Burgers: 4 stars. Perfectly cooked, delicious and cool presentation, but a bit small - it was all over too quickly! Truffle fries - 5 stars. One of the best I've ever had; way better than Ajax. Spiked shakes - 5 stars. No more needs to be said. Minigolf for kids - 5 stars. Close proximity for parents to hang and watch their kids, but still be drinking a spiked milkshake. BUT... Can't they invest in some umbrellas? On this beautiful but sunny August night, everyone was clamoring for the inside seats because the sun was blinding. Also, they need some cleaning help. The bathroom was a PIT, and we had to clean our own table before sitting down - gross.

I ate in four of the fine dinning spots In Aspen. However, CP Burger was the most satisfying. Thick meat with a bun that is not oversized. Also thin, crispy fries.

For what it is, this place is awesome!! Very affordable with delicious food. Burgers are good, not the best, but very good. The kale salad with tuna was awesome, and we literally went every day to have it after we first tried it. Even tried to recreate it at home, but not quite the same. The chili is also delicious. Beats the "famed turkey chili" from Deer Valley by a long shot. Fries are awesome. The milkshakes are delicious as well! Sure, this won't be fancy shmancy and has a set predictable menu, but they are so good at what they do.

the tuna burger is small but delicious...its ingredients (tuna, kale, tomato, purple onion, miso vinagriette, and garlic aioli) compliment each other nicely....i plan on returning tomorrow

Ok, so went w/the hubs to Breck for a meeting then a 2nd one at Aspen, Aug 22, 2013. I'm really not a fan at all of aspen or their places to eat. Maybe 2 places over 3 yrs ago were at best worth my money and time. So my hub's said this place had good burgers, though he ended up down playing it when we were near here. I'm not so much picky as where I just know what a burger should taste like and if it's worth the price. Well this place is not Worth the price nor is it delicious. Their burgers are small and decent but not worth it at all. Lark burger blows this place out of the water for sure! lo down: Summit Burger- not worth it, flavorless meat and only had the blue cheese taste. All burgers are cooked the same and it's small like a jr burger. It looks plump and fat, but that's because it's like my hand making a "c" cup shape. Chican burger- Only tasted the green chili's and no flavor, I had to add salt. Truffle fries- these were by far the NASTIEST tasting fries ever!! They tasted burnt and looked dehydrated. I couldn't really taste any truffle and even with a lot of salt on the fried, it tasted like I was eating ashes! NASTY!! Sweet potato fries- I'm not usually a fan of sweet fries, but these were the best by far and I ate these, mainly to get all the burnt taste out. Kale salad- Okay it was hearty, but flavorless.. I make mine much better with sliver of the salad almond toppings, truffle olive oil, hawaiian salt and lemon. For almost 9 bucks, who could by my ingredients for less and have more than 2 servings. Soo not worth it! I mean why is everyone raving about this stuff, when kale salads been out and in stores over years especially in vegas. Best part was character names and that was it.. Would I go back to this place? Heck no! I rather pay much more and eat at better places or even room service in my hotel.. Heck I rather eat Mickey d's!!!

I love their falafel burger and their parmesan fries. So good! I only wish they had a quinoa or a type of veggie burger because I'll like a variety of vegetarian options. Otherwise, their side dishes are solid. And their milkshakes? Oh man! Their malts are champ. They are right next to a ice skating rink in the winter and a mini golf course in the summer. Great place to take your kids.

Questioning sanitation practices. My husband witnessed an EMPLOYEE use the restroom and head back to work WITHOUT washing their hands. GROSS!!!!

  • Grace D.

Great find considering most meals in aspen ending up being outrageous. Not much seating (mainly outdoors). The atmosphere was overall pretty nice. Loved the fact that you can mini golf while eating your food! I got the veggie burger and banana split milkshake. The burger was pretty good, but the shake was amazing! Portions were fairly large. Definitely a nice kid friendly spot

  • Sara N.

This little burger joint is not to be underestimated. Their CP burger was delicious! It reminded me of a bigger, juicier version of the west coast's in n out burger! The parmesan truffle fries are also delicious and may be made from kryptonite. If you are looking for a good burger in Aspen, then this is your spot!

Yelp said they close at 10pm "today." This sounded fishy so I called at 8:45pm to confirm. No one answered and it went to voicemail. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:59pm and were told they were closed and were ushered out of the establishment. Awesome job, guys.

    (1)
  • David L.

The burgers were undercooked, the truffle fries overcooked, and the music inside was so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. Definitely better places in Aspen to spend your food dollars.

  • Dave T.

Great place for a quick bite. More than hamburgers too! The Tuna burger with miso vinegrette and wasabi aioli is with the visit in itself. Oh, and tater tots too. Mini golf in the summer and ice rink in winter.

OK CP Burger. 500th reviews gets 5 stars here. An Aspen must. In a town full over way over priced food, CP Burger provides great food at a great price. I was told by a friend of mine that the ahi burger was great. I was a little skeptical, but tried it none the less. DELICIOUS. The ahi itself was HUGE and for $9, you can't go wrong. I opted out of the park fries, but got onion rings which were a nice addition to the meal. Overall, CP Burger is a gem in a town full of overpriced eateries.

  • Cordel H.

I'm from out of town so I might be biased. Maybe it's the way things are done around here. It's just an alright burger...after I had to re-cook it in the microwave. If you like your burgers medium then you'll be OK. Fries were good. Tots were kind-of slimy tasting. Decent price.

  • Cristina W.

I love the burgers here! I had the Summit Burger and the beef patty was juicy and exceeded my expectations. The burger was also the perfecy size - not too big but it filled me up. Also ordered the Parmesan garlic fries which I couldn't stop eating. The second time I came here, had the Kale Salad. You can add chicken for a few extra bucks but I just got the straight-up kale as I wasn't very hungry. It was good, but left a strange aftertaste - not sure if that's just kale or something else. I've had kale at other places and I never experienced said aftertaste.

This place isn't bad at all. It's right next to the outdoors ice skating rink (and I believe you can rent skates there too). The burgers are served on their side in a container a la "in-n- out". The thick patties are cooked medium rare, pinkish in the middle. I'd categorize it as above average in quality and corresponds with their prices. The parmesan truffle fries are totally worth it. They're savory and have no need for ketchup.

Super friendly staff. Burgers were just the right portions. I had the CP Burger with pepper jack cheese and my wife had the falafel burger. Both were fantastic. We sat outside on the front porch area in early summer...perfection. Next time we are in Aspen, we will definitely grab another CP Burger. You should do yourself a favor and go by CP...and have some truffle fries for me.

Pretty yummy burger! Fries too! Burgers are quite small for the price though, just a heads up.

  • Chris T.

Pretty good. Love the concept. Chicano burger is great but could use more kick. Fried food and boozy shakes how do you go wrong? Great for kids with ice skating in winter and pmini golf in summer. That have gluten free buns on request.

Great location in Aspen - very family friendly next to ice skating rink! I love a good burger joint with an easy menu and decent prices! I enjoyed the burger place not once but twice during my stay.

    (5)
  • Nika G.

I really loved CP Burger! 90% of restaurants in Aspen are $15+ per plate, and are a bit too fancy for a quick lunch, so CP Burger was perfect for my family and I who needed a quick, not too expensive meal. Everything everyone ordered was delicious, the perfect size, and the perfect price. I would definitely recommend CP Burger to anyone!

    (5)
  • Ari B.

I got a bacon cheeseburger that was great, the fries were ok, and the prices were great (for Aspen). Nice little place right next to the skating rink which makes lunch really easy if you have kids with you.

I've always found Aspen to be a smaller LA in the Rockies. CP Burger is proving my theory. This place is a total LA gourmet burger joint. And it's fantastic! Super friendly workers with a clean, simple and creative menu. I was weighing between the tuna burger and the falafel burger. I was in dire need of some protein, so I went with the tuna burger. It was incrediballs. I think it had something to do with the miso vinaigrette and kale that generously topped my perfectly seared fish. It was served with truffle parmesan fries. They were ridiculous. Apparently they're pretty common in Aspen and you can casually ask for them in most restaurants. Delightful. Everything comes in neat little packaging, which is, of course, biodegradable. However, the BEST part about this place is their system of taking names while you wait for your food. I think this should be adopted by other restaurants because it's fucking awesome. Instead of taking down your weird ass name, they assign you a celebrity name. No questions asked, no misspellings, and why wouldn't I want to be Robert Wagner while I eat my burger? From salads to lattes to milkshakes to TATER TOTS, it's all at CP Burger. And the price is so right.

I just spent three days in Aspen, and CP Burger may have been the most satisfying meal I've had yet. By "satisfying" I don't necessarily mean that it was the very best, but given the price, the atmosphere, and the food quality, I think overall it can't be beat. We went there for lunch, and I had the Ahi Tuna Burger with some tater tots. The burger was delicious, and all of the ingredients seemed very fresh. It really reminded me of Gott's / Taylor's Automatic Refresher, if you've ever been to Napa or San Fran. They also have a great selection of spiked milkshakes. I had the banana something or other which was... um... not sure... some mix of banana ice cream, chocolate, and liquor. Great way to keep the day going :-). Anyhow, I was only able to make it to CP Burger once, but if I find myself in Aspen again, I'll make sure to go another time!

Great place to grab a quick and tasty bite to eat in Aspen (but pretty pricey for burgers and fries)! I recommend the grilled chicken burger with fries...pretty darn good!

    (4)
  • Katie W.

Cute little place, instead of order numbers you are assigned a name, I heard Britney Spears, Darth Vader and we were stuck with John Travolta. I had the tuna burger which was quite good. The kale on the sandwich really added a nice crunch. The sweet potato fries were great, though the portion size was way bigger than it needed to be, there was no way one person could finish the box. My only issue is that my daughter's hot dog kid's meal was $7, only a buck less than my tuna burger. Even though this is Aspen, that seemed a little ridiculous to me.

    (4)
  • Hilary S.

Summit burger is crazy good. That, truffle fries, and the coffee milkshake with heath bar bits make one hell of a meal. Burger is small, and won't fill you up by itself. Definitely get the combo. My cousins, 4 and 7, love the putt putt course. My wallet doesn't. Their tip? If you want to play forever, never play the 18th hole. It eats up your ball.

We were very unhappy with our meal at CP Burger. We decided to pick up some burgers and take them back to our hotel in Snowmass Village. We ordered two regular burgers, a chicken burger, and a fallafel burger. We were greatly disappointed when we got to the hotel 30 minutes later. The two regular burgers were rare -- very pink. The chicken burger was very dry and there was almost no condiments on it. However, the fallafel burger was good.

What fun it is to ice skate at the base of Ajax Mountain, and then duck into this upscale and creative burger joint to warm up. It's right on the rink. You can walk right on into CP Burger with your skates on. They serve a range of good and creative burgers (jalapeno burger anyone?), fries (parmesan truffle fries perhaps?), edamame (!?!), Joel Gott wines, and a few interesting beverages with a kick (The Smuggler: chocolate ice cream w. peppermint schnapps, or the XO-Chino: Patron XO coffee liqueur, Amaretto, vanilla ice cream). Yum! Upon placing your order, you are given a 'star name;' they'll call you back to pick up your food at the counter by calling out something like "Chubby Checker, step right up and get your chili cheese dog and hot chocolate buddy!" As crowded as it was, there always seemed to be a place to sit. The people behind CP Burger are the same that own Lu Lu Wilson, The Wild Fig, and Brexi Brasserie locally in Aspen.

  • Lynn E.

For quick, healthy and reasonably priced meal try CP's. Local's raved about the burgers and the kale salad. We can add to the chorus with cheers for grilled chicken burger and Lulu's Original kale salad. Sometimes in Aspen you just need a little sustenance before or after your next activity.

Nice place to get burgers fast and easy. I like my "fire" burger but I didn't like my fries and onion rings here. They are kinda brunt for my taste.

  • Ty P.

This place is awesome. Great food! I had the CP Burger and it was juicy and super tasty. The Parmesan Fries are the best things on earth. Also ordered a milk shake bc everyone else was doing it too and since I like jumping off bridges I decided to try the Oreo milkshake. It was good but I would recommend getting the Oreo one with vanilla ice cream next time bc the chocolate makes it too rich. Watch out for little kids everywhere, just saying. Def worth a eat while you're in Aspen, ideal for lunch or a quick dinner.

Had the CP burger with fries which were ok. Reasonable prices.

  • Erik A.

I had the Chicano Burger and my girl had the Tuna Burger. Both were on the smaller side and topped with cheap, plain grocery store buns. Meh, nothing special. The fries were soggy and cold. She also had a "Naughty Monkey" which was a creamy milk shake shake with vanilla and butterscotch schnapps amongst other ingredients. Delicious! It's the only thing saving this place from a mere 2 stars, but was $9.

Wow Burgers at nice prices considering the location..,.

    (4)
  • Louis C.

I heard good things about CP Burger. "...an upscale gourmet burger joint, with amazing burgers." That was not the case. These "gourmet" burgers seemed pretty basic to me. For the price I was paying for these burgers I expected a lot more. The beef was good quality and it was a big patty, I'll give them that. But the fries are way over salted and the "truffle fries" are over seasoned. Given the prices I expected more, 2-stars is "I've had better" and truly I have had better at cheaper prices. Rip-off tourist burger joint for rich snowboard kids.

Passing through Aspen, found this place on Yelp! and went based on the reviews. Come to find out it is mostly "Meh". Limp fries accompanied my summit burger which was greasy and fell apart almost immediately. Partner was unimpressed for 28 bucks. To sum it up....meh.

  • David W.

Let me start by saying, is there anything better than a GOOD hamburger?!?! Well if you are in Aspen, I have found hamburger heaven on earth! The bun is so soft and fresh it feels like velvet in your hands. This is probably one of the more expensive hamburgers at $9.80 after Aspen's outrageous sales tax rate but worth every penny. You can play and round of miniature golf while you wait on this delicacy or help yourself to self serve frozen yogurt. Did i mention they have SPIKED MILKSHAKES! I can't wait to return.

  • M. T.

**SHORT REVIEW** The burgers, fries and shakes were ok, why the one star review...because the cashier was a young little punk that had the nerve to tell me my burger was CLOSE ENOUGH to the Well-Done my wife ordered instead of just making a new one. It's a good thing for him I have learned to calm down over the years and decided to be nice and just tell him to go cook me a new burger.

Quick tasty burgers at an affordable price for Aspen! Open late, good option for late snack!

Well it's good because it's cp burger :) convenient location right across the street from the bus stop. Service is friendly and fast and you get a cool celebrity name for your order like Michael Jackson or Rick James or Jackie Chang. Will come back for more. Burger proportions are a bit small in my opinion for the price I'm paying. The truffle fries were the bomb so get those too.

Pretty good, but over priced for what you get. Definately a tourist trap!
