Are you serious Anthony Wedo? We thought they had improved food. They did not! It was the same bs. The chicken pot pie was okay, but everything else was bland. The baked fish is a garbage fish called Pollock. Fishy with a bad texture. This is the direction restaurants are moving away from. Your days are numbered. Step your game up!

Sadly this place has deteriorated so badly that if they are trying to go bankrupt then why not just do it and get it over with! When I came here 2 yr ago it was so much better-a great place for me to take my family to that had good food and affordable(I have a large family when we get together)but it has gone downhill so badly that it leaves you wondering "what's up??"-they have to be aware of how bad it has become!A year ago last Father's day was the first sign of trouble-prices up and food missing and none being brought out to serve.Yes they said they were busy(obviously). We wanted breakfast but since they were not refilling the food we decided to visit and wait it out for lunch but lunch brought no relief for the missing food. There was new management walking around but definitely not solving any problems. We never went back until this past Mothers day-again prices raised but food inferior, missing and steak grill not available. That was enough for me but tonight my granddaughter ask if we could try again...even worse .Food terrible, hardly any customers during the heart of the dinner hour, only carving station present and meats terrible(ham tasted like a step up from spam and very salty),no baked potatoes for the evening meal and on and on.In general everything I placed on my plate tasted bad (not kidding!).Never have I been to a buffet that was so bad in my life!At the end of the night the only food I finished that tasted good was the vanilla ice cream and the lava cake-all else went to waste!I am confused as to why the management or corporation has let this happen but I would not be surprised if food poisoning is or will be a problem here.To bad and of course prices up-I have definitely learned my lesson and no one can talk me into this again!!

So sad! I used to really like this place. However, the last few times not so much. I won't go into detail.......cold food and dirty tables. I probably won't be going back.

My boyfriend loves this place, I have no idea on earth why. I was dragged into a breakfast buffet on the weekend and my boyfriend swore up and down they had "upped their game" and they changed their menu and things are so much better.. well. Upon arrival when we're paying not only did this cashier seriously take forever to try to sell me a coupon book , I mean TRIED to shove this down my throat , I had to tell her more than once that I'm not interested. She took so much out of me that I didn't realize you are charged for drinks... that makes sense. When we walked over to sit down , the entire dining room smells. Like a dirty person ,musty like they''ve never deep cleaned the carpets or the booths. Gross. I think their food is either so overcooked and dried or has absolutely no real flavor . Their salad bar is probably the better bet if you have to eat here, but honestly I didn't want to have a salad at 9 in the morning. I was so irritated I nearly dropped $30 bucks , for less than mediocre food , to sit in a nasty smelling dining room and drink lukewarm orange juice.. that they can't seem to keep filled for some reason. I hate country buffet and I will never return..

Easter Sunday was busy. The woman hosting was great. The young man who worked the cash register was very ill, or in pain, or something. He looked like he was going to faint. I hope he is alright. The food was good. It was a holiday, so of course it was very crazy, with space. I docked a star because the cappuccino machine only gave me hot water. Something wasn't right.

I won't be back, and that's a real shame. I was out in 2013 and was shocked at the improvements made since the last time I'd taken my elderly mom out for supper! While no one rational would ever have confused this place with The Fort, it was not too bad. I was glad I took Mom here. Fast forward to 2015, and so much has changed, none of it for the better. The roast beef is inedible, and I have all my teeth, tyvm, and that no thanks to the ribs, dry with disintegrating bones. The carts with anything approaching tasty ran out quickly, and were slow to replenish. It reminded me a lot of the Indianapolis Ryan's, where we took our mother-in-law earlier this year. Similar declines in quality. I should have remembered that Ryan's and Country Buffet are corporate siblings. I am waffling between between 1 and 2 stars. Decided on 2, but only because I see no vermin.

Used to come this chain often.... USED to..... Love the ad that says they'll make it right if not satisfied....lol! Can they just go bankrupt? Also thought the "new introduction" of the carving station is on the funny side, since they had it before they trashed the place in the remodel... One ( and only ) thing I can like, that I can take their coupons and their competitor will gladly honor them......

Our group was very pleasantly surprised by the food at Country Buffet. About 16 adults and children met here for a birthday party. I would not hesitate to eat here again. Just a few of the items: A real surprise, shrimp with cheese grits. Very nice. Steak and roast beef with au jus, both tasty. One friend hit the taco bar and enjoyed the result. Nice veggies including fresh-looking steamed broccoli and a sweet potato casserole. (I wouldn't try the mashed potatoes; other potato options looked much better.) A decent salad bar including fruit. Pizza was actually tasty, which is amazing for buffet pizza. This was fresh and hot, with a zesty sauce and plenty of cheese and pepperoni. Cornbread stuffing, honey cornbread, and bread rolls were excellent. A very good array of desserts including warm-from-the-oven cookies.

Our family is not much for buffet joints..but...we have those nights when we are simply spent, need to eat, and a place like Country Buffet fits the bill. We used to find that this restaurant had a fair number of options that were healthy and fresh but then they remodeled and it just isn't as good. Lots more fried or goopy stuff, sitting around under heat lamps. The deserts have always been a bit so-so. They look good..but taste like fluffed up jello stuff or canned peach pie with extra corn syrup. Icky and just not worth the calories! The only one I ever touched was the key lime pie. That is gone now as well. They salad bar is good. Plenty to choose from. Fresh and well organized. They staff is friendly and helpful. Thursday nights are super busy as it is kids eat cheap night. If you are not kid tolerant...choose a different night. They role it out nice for kids on Thursdays though..so if you have kids, good night for them. Wish I could say it is better. It used to be. I don't think we'll go there much any more.

So much food was gone, no plates or silverware, left steak on the grill scorched black nowhere the be seen. Very unpleasant and unsatisfactory visit.

After the remodel the restaurant looks nice but the food is not better. Those tiny single serve dishes and new service dishes do not hold a lot of food so it is gone to fast without a replacement. Not as much of a selection as before and the last couple of times we have been there, there was no meatloaf or anything similar. Keeping up with the deserts can always be a challenge with unattended kids and ice cream, but this location seems to have a harder time of it. The only bright spot was the salad bar was well stocked and the fruit was fine for the season.

I went for lunch on a friday. It was busy but not terribly so. People waited 10+ minutes for clean plates or used salad plates instead. The food was ok, I enjoyed the new mac n cheese. Meatloaf is always decent. The sausage with onions was a bit salty and the baked beans were disgustingly salty. I even had my bf try them to make sure it wasn't just me. I wasn't particularly impressed with the selection.

Just visited and will be last time. The food was mostly fine nothing to write about a lot looked like it was from night before or was old and just flipped. The management is why I'll never come again!!! My daughter was assaulted by 3 kids twice her size in the bathroom. When reported his response was "what do you want me to do about it?" He didn't ask what happened or even asked how she was. He said because there is no cameras and the kids ran out there was nothing he could do- Even though this place is in walking distance of my house I will be sure to visit nicer establishments even if that is 10 miles away in this economy it's better to be safe then save money just to get assaulted in bathroom and lose your lunch anyway - this place is not worth losing your children's safety or your lunch over!

Every year when my father comes back from Mexico there are a few places that he has to visit. This fine establishment is on that list. The food is always better than I remember buffets being. The staff is also excellent. Sarah has worked there for at least a year and we always leave her at least $5 for taking care of our table. Also, and the best part of this place, the people watching. What an eclectic mix of russian immigrants, white trash, Sinaloa cowboys and elderly. Oh, just an amazing place.

Thought I would see a big enough difference from its change over in management but not enough for me to return. Too pricey for the cafeteria type food and still too boring. Wanted it to be better and it wasn't much better.

I really was surprised by the food here. I've had so many other horrible experiences with Country Buffet that sound very similar to the other reviews on this one. My in-laws suggested that I try this Country Buffet, because it was much better than the others in the area. The food was fresh and had good flavor to it (for an all you can eat buffet). The staff was very friendly and upbeat. I really was impressed with the food here in comparison to my experience before at Fort Collins, CO.

Surprisingly not as bad as people make it out to be. The only thing that tasted off was the shrimp in orange sauce. The pumpkin pie was quite tasty as were the biscuits and gravy. Even the taco bar tasted good. Maybe it was because I went at an in-between time, almost three in the afternoon? It's a great place for old people with clapped out taste buds or large families who want to eat big for cheap.

This place isn't bad. The food is typically very well-prepared -- especially the mac and cheese -- and there's a good variety at breakfast and lunch, well worth the price. The manager who's usually on duty will often stop by the table and ask how things are, which is a sign of a very good manager. One complaint: the older lady who usually works at the register is persistent to the point of being pushy about selling you the drink bar for an extra two bucks, even after you say no two or three times. This happens every time you go in. I've talked to friends who have gone there who have also felt harassed by the beverage bar pimp, who acts like you're not fit to eat there if you don't pay extra for something other than water. It gets old. A couple of times I've felt the words rising in my mouth, "What part of no don't you get, lady? Please shut up after I've clearly said 'No, thank you.'" She must be the owner's mom.
