Been coming here sense I was a kid. Excellent food! Homemade pasta and a great family atmosphere. Great bar as well and they always have the games on. One of my favorite local places!!! :-)

We love this place! We come here every year to watch the Super Bowl, plus some special occasions. We used to drive across town for it, and now we live close enough we can go more often. My mother used to come here in high school, so there's some history here for us. Great homemade food, the best pasta sauce you will ever have, and they have takeout and frozen pizzas ready to go. And the nicest staff ever!

Great place when you're in the mood for traditional Italian! The pizza has a nice buttery thin crust. The homemade pasta noodles have a great texture. The sauce is the deep rich type that really clings to the noodles. The sausage sandwich is unique in that it's patties versus link. The meat has a nice spice to it. My husband ordered the house chianti which was a prefect compliment to the food and he appreciated the generous pour. Oh and the double chocolate cake. It's surprising very light. Save room!

Was attending a seminar at Red Rocks in Arvada and wanted to try somethihg local at lunch. Decided to try this place I'd spotted as the first couple of Yelp reviews I glanced at were positive. When I entered I was barely acknolwledged with what I took to be "seat yourself". Just a few people there. Very dim and in major need of a paint-job which I really can overlook if the food /service are good. In retrospect I probably should've tried the pizza but wasn't that starved and wanted something I could store easily in the little fridge available to me if I had leftovers (and I usually do) While waitiing to order couldn't help but notice the warm welcome the regulars DID receive that came in after me. Three were greeted by name. When it came time to order settled on the stuffed shells with a sausage. Comes with soup or salad.I don't care for salad but love soup. They didn;t have any soup...at noon. I told the waitress to just hold the salad so as not to waste it. She offed me a meatball as a substitute which I accepted. This should get them an extra half-star,Asked for a to-go box up front but was just told let to let her know when I was ready. A small basket of bread (very fresh and good) butter and some of those little cellophane-wrapped breadsticks were brought out while I waited and read a paper. Nothing provided to set the bread on though. The Pasta came out,two shells. half-sauced and one oddly naked. Just OK sauce and pasta, the filling needed a binder and had to be chased around the plate. Meatball OK-sausage quite good.Wildly uneven. Clearly the reviewers who grew up on this place are tasting nosalgia.

The food was not bad but was extremely overpriced. $18 a plate for spaghetti is ridiculous.

Love the pizza!! Loved it the first time I went and I think they just might outdo themselves every time I go!! The staff are beyond friendly and helpful!! Love this place!!

NO ONE has written a review for Arvada Villa yet? Craziness. This is by far the best pizza I've ever had. I grew up eating this pizza as this is a family-owned place that's been around for like 40 years or something. Homemade pastas are delicious and quality of meat is excellent. I've lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years now and I still haven't found a pizza here to rival Arvada Villa. Needless to say, whenever I return to Denver, I make a point to visit this place at least a couple times. Love it!!!!

This little place (tucked away in a strip mall) has been an Arvada favorite for many many years and is family owned. The ambiance is intimate but still maintains its family flair. If you are looking for a superb pizza with hand-tossed crust that is thin, but not to thin, sweet and tangy sauce, fresh and plentiful toppings, then this the place for you.

We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Arvada Villa. The service was beyond EXCELLENT! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest with recommendations. The food was delicious; the best Chicken Marsala I've ever had. My husband had the lasagna, and while tasty he said it was a bit heavy on the ricotta and needed more sauce. The do not have a kids menu, but our girls were able to share an entree and it was plenty. I'd happily give 5 stars but it needs a good clean and the tables are way too close together. If the restaurant was packed it would be uncomfortable. It is also a bit dated, but that's not a reason not to go!

Looking for a good Italian meal, my daughter and I thought we'd try Arvada Villa since we live near and we understood this place to be popular with the locals since the 1960's. My daughter was looking to enjoy Fettuccine Alfredo and found this restaurant does not serve Fettuccine Alfredo. Really? Instead, we both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with home made noodles. A salad was served with each entree. I ordered Italian dressing, that was a mistake. It tasted like only corn oil was drizzled over my salad with just the tiniest hint of vinegar. The Chicken Parmigiana was okay. Honestly, for $19.00, I think I've had better Chicken Parmigiana TV dinners though. The chicken was not crispy and the pasta was chewy and tasted of flour. Yuck. Our waitress all but disappeared and we had to ask to have our drinks refilled. From the beginning, she had an attitude. The place was packed! Though for the life of me, we couldn't understand why. As we watched, it was clear the "regulars" were treated well. Clearly Arvada Villa feels they do not need any new business. No problem, we definitely will NOT be returning. Service - 2/5 (forgotten about / attitude) Food - 2/5 (tasteless) Decor - 2/5 (dark and dated) Cleanliness - 2-5 (food and such under the coolers near the door / chair back sticky) Speed - 3/5 (the best part of the meal) Welcome feeling - 1/5

We had pizza here a while back. it was take out and needless to say we were not impressed. To be fair and give this place a fair shot, we went back to try it again. The food is expensive and for what you pay for it is average AT BEST. My ravioli was basically the ravioli with tomato sauce from a can dumped on it. Needless to say, I wasn't happy with the place. The service was decent enough, so no complaints there. The place was a bit dim as well. That's fine I suppose if you are looking for a romantic setting. But I think this was more to hide the food so you couldn't see what you were eating. The place looked like it had a thin veil of grease across everything. It really wasn't appealing at all. In the end, I don't think I shall ever return. We gave this place two shots and neither time was impressive whatsoever. There are much better places within ten minutes of here. Save your money.

Dated. A little dark. But yummy food, a GREAT wine pour and really friendly service. Met the family there before candle light Good Friday service and it worked out really nicely. I wasn't starving, so I just went with two apps (Caesar salad and the meatballs). My cousin did the same thing but with a different salad and the spicy sausage. Both were really good and as I mentioned before, the wine pour was very generous.

Pizza is a little pricy but super good! I ordered the Arvada Villa Super Pizza, Large. $15 for takeout. The guy that took my order was very over the phone was short and rushed me off the phone. The lady that gave me my pizza was very nice and even put parmesan cheese in a little cup for me. The decor in the restaurant is dated but I liked and appreciated it. Will be going back!

Don't know how to rate! Website shows open until 9:00 on Sunday. Walked in at 8:30 and were told they were closed! Update your website! Checked it before driving there! Ended well, went to Randi's which showed the same hours, well received, GREAT pizza--Better than Arvada Villa!!!

ordered a pizza with green peppers and onions . What I received was something circular with sauteed onions and hot Italian peppers on it. The peppers were not minced or sliced but rather just cut in half and slopped around the pizza circle. The whole sauteed onion slices were not spread around the pizza but just plonked there - an entire slice of sauteed onion at a time. The crust might as well have not been there at all it was so thin (2 or 3 mm at best!) that it was completely sogged down by the sauce. and unable to be held by hand. The sauce itself was somewhat sweetish and the best thing that can be said about it was that it was - generic. All around a poorly made pizza.

The restaurant claims to have been here since 1960. I felt like it was still 1960. Then, it would have been expected that a drunken owner would make a racist comment. I came in with an African American friend and this drunken jerk said something so despicable that we just got up and walked out in disgust. So, if you are reading this and deciding where to eat, you can go here. Just remember....you are who you eat with.

Super small and quaint with that mom n pop feel. Had the veal and home made spaghetti noodles. They were great! If you are used to store-bought noodles I would not suggest getting home made. They are much different and many people aren't used to the different texture/taste. The sauce was a little boring but I like a ton of different spices in mine. I was rather disappointed about the wine list. For being an Italian joint you'd think they'd have more than 4 choices...

My husband and I went in for dinner one night to try the place out because we live close by....I thought I was ordering the baked cheese ravioli but I apparently ordered the regular which looked like it was just thrown in the bowl. When I explained to the waitress that I thought I was ordering the baked she basically told me that I didn't and walked away from the table. My husband then caught her attention and asked if there was anyway it could be baked. With a fuss she took it back and the cook put 3 slabs of cheese on it and probably microwaved it for 10 seconds and brought it back. It looked awful and at that point I didn't have an appetite. We asked for to go boxes just so we could leave and get out of there. As we were leaving I explained to the waitress that she was not accommodating at all and put no effort into taking proper care of us. The owner came out of the back and explained that the waitress was his sister and that he doesn't need customers like "me" and grabbed my shoulder and basically pushed me out the door and told me to "never come back"!. He was so rude it was unbelievable!! It was the worst experience at a restaurant I've EVER had. Needless to say, I will never go back and hope no one has to experience anything like that. Beware of this restaurant...seriously :(

This restaurant is almost like a place out of time - a time when people knew what customer service was about, and how to take care of customers. It's no surprise that this is Arvada's oldest, continually run restaurant, and, even with plenty of new competition, they still pack the house. Almost everything is made fresh daily on site by the owner who comes in at 5:00 a.m., six days a week. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. We are vegetarian, so we can only eat the pizza since, even though the marinara is vegetarian, they soak their meatballs and sausage in it to warm them up - the way restaurants used to do. The pizza sauce, however, is kept separate and vegetarian. When you eat an Arvada Villa pie, you'll find it's different, too. It's not quite like any other you've had. The crust is made fresh daily, giving it the proper flavor and texture. The marinara is made fresh, too, and it is seasoned just right. And, at $16 for a decent sized pizza, it's a decent value even in today's market. What really makes this place special is the service. The owner talks to every customer. He even goes around and tops of wine glasses, and it's all sincere. He really is that way, and not just putting on a show because corporate told him he has to. If you look around the walls, you'll see plaques that the owner had made with the names of many, many loyal customers - customers who have been dining there for years - and attached to the walls. It's his way of honoring them. I love this place for all of the homemade goodness, the different pizza, and, most of all, the hospitality that leaves me feeling like a kind every time I go. If you are sick of being treated like a sack of potatoes by some high school kid at a run-of-the-mill restaurant, go here, and rediscover what hospitality and customer service mean. (I have read the negative reviews, and I sincerely feel those people either missed the boat, or were paid to post negative reviews. I know of no place in the Denver area that honors its valued customers with plaques on the wall, tops of wine glasses free, and has the same good, consistent, fresh food every time. I'll stake my reputation on it. If you don't like what you get, ask for Jim Gibson, and I guarantee he'll make it right)

A gem! I have gone to this establishment since I was a pup, it is my favorite pizza in the state (especially the sausage and mushroom)! Homemade pastas, meatballs and sausage are also delish. It may be a little expensive but it's a small business and they make everything from scratch. To the person that complained about there not being meat in the sauce, add a meatball or sausage on the on the side, it's the way they've always done it.

Went to Arvada Villa for lunch the other day. I ordered a meatball sandwich and my girlfriend ordered an Italian sausage sandwich. If you like lots and lots of bread and very little meat along with cheap ruffles potato chips on the side, than this is the place for you. Very disappointed.

Never been here before, but we thought we'd give it a try since they are "established in 1960." Not sure how people gave this place anything more than 1 star!! My experience started off with poor service. I felt like we were inconveniencing them even though there were only 2 other parties in the entire restaurant! When asked "what salad would you like?" I responded with "what are my options?" My options consisted of which salad dressing I wanted. I was amused because he should have asked "what type of dressing would you like" followed by the types of dressing available. This really wouldn't have mattered if this was the only disappointment. Don't get the bleu cheese because it tastes more like thousand island. Both my friend and I thought the same thing. I also noticed that the staff, while making our salads, did not have gloves on and touched all the ingredients. I overlooked this because it's very possible that they may have washed their hands?? Highly doubtful!! Once I got my first bite in my mouth, I felt something stringy. Yes, it was a long stand of blonde hair (I'm brunette). And all the waiter had to say was "I'm sorry" and didn't even offer another salad!! Next, which I'm not surprised, the food was bland and had no flavor! I had to add lots of salt & pepper just to choke it down. I normally don't need to add anything, even at Olive Garden! The friend that came with me is super chill and never complains, but she even wanted me to speak up! Maybe they're known for their pizza? But the manicotti, spaghetti, and lasagna are definitely not one of their best dishes! How do you screw up spaghetti?!? Prego has more flavor than their sauce! Once we received the bill I was expecting to have at least 5-10% taken off due to the hair that I practically ate! But, we were charged full price! I would be okay with that if they would have brought me a new salad. When I told the waiter that I thought we should have a discount, his response was "the salads are complimentary." Really!?! I don't care if you don't charge for the salad, my appetite was ruined, and on top of that, I am now writing a horrible review! Congratulations & thank you for my free salad with extra hair. He finally did take $5 of my manicotti. I'm not even sure who the restaurant manager was, but no one else even approached our table to apologize. I will NEVER go back to this place even if they paid me! DO NOT GO HERE!

Positives: Family-owned. Loyal clientele. Cute ambiance inside. Homemade pastas. Very friendly staff! Negatives: Overpriced food- $12 for a standard pasta dish?? We ordered takeout and it took FOREVER- over 30 minutes. Bland sauce. No meat in the sauce or lasagna- we didn't even see a meat option, which is a bit weird. I really wanted to like this place, too, but we really didn't. The pizza looked good, so if we go back again we'll be sure to try it.

I grew up eating at this place and still look forward to going everytime I'm back in Denver. Homemade pasta, amazing desserts and a warm cozy atmosphere. No, it isn't 5 star dining...but in my humble opinion it's some of the best Italian food in Arvada.

We've been coming here for years. The homemade spaghetti is great and we love the pizza. It's a drive for us now that we no longer live in Arvada but we'll keep making the drive!

I have been eating at Arvada Villa since I was 16. Since I don't live in the area anymore I rarely get to eat it but when I do it is always a treat. Quite possibly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is always cooked just right, the dough is not crisp but not too soft, just right. One of the best selling pizzas would be the Super, which comes with pepperoni, sausauge, mushrooms and black olives and is pretty tasty. My personal favorite combination would be pepperoni, sausage, onion and garlic. Absolutely amazing, these four ingredients blend so well together, it's so good it's ridiculous. The Arvada Villa offers a full Italian menu, the pasta that I've had was pretty good but really the star item on the menu is the pizza. You can eat in there, order it to go or if you live in the area you can get it delivered. This place is not the cheapest, but it is a privately owned company and the pizza really is to die for so in my opinion it is well worth it. If you want to try one of the best pizzas of your life come to the Arvada Villa, you will not be disappointed.

Pizza was hot and fresh out of the oven when I got there. Smells and looks good. tasted just as good as it looked. only down fall is that the parking lot is really small.

I hear good things about the pizza. The "italian" food is a joke. 40 years and you still can't make a decent Chicken Parm? Could be why the owner is looking to sell.

  • Monica Thomas T.

Yes the owner was a bit intoxicated. A broncos game was going on. No one in restaurant service was ok. Owner was yelling and carrying on about game at bar which is right next to tables. We had our 3 year old with us and she was wondering why that man kept yelling. Pizza was mediocre. We ordered shrimp on pizza came out with baby brine shrimps. Very disappointed. Garlic bread was burned on top and again we were the only people there. Took awhile for pizza which is understanding but it wasnt worth the wait. Owner bragged about how he makes everything gets there at 4 am. Meatballs were boring. Everything was boring and bland.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
