This restaurant is now the tavern serving pizza, sandwiches, wine, beer and other great stuff. Opened very recently. It's locally-owned and we locals love it.

What a gem of a place. Great service and genuine local owners. Cool find when touring the "peak to peak" highway. This is great little cafe in a less traveled mountain town. Forget waiting for a sandwich in Estes Park, that might take all afternoon. I'm definitely stopping here again on my way to the next event. And of course, the coffee is awesome!

Good service, but, really, $6 for chai is overpriced.

Gem of a coffee place in the mountains. It is slightly overpriced, but the service is great, the coffee is good, the loose leaf tea is made locally and is terrific, and the food ain't bad.

We were about 1/3 the way down the St. Vrain mountain hike when my wife says to me, "I'd love to have a beer right now. A Fat Tire would be perfect!" It was the second day of our 4 day camping excursion. We were camped outside of Allenspark, CO. It's beautiful in the mountains this time of year. Allenspark is a little town that is easy to miss off of CO SR 7 about 40 miles into the mountains outside of Boulder. We were actually going to a gift shop, but it was closed. I noticed a sign that read, "Coffee Shop". Rather than go back to camp we decided to get warmed up and relax for a few. Walking in and the first thing I saw was a guy drinking a beer and eating a sandwich. I looked around and to my excitement I saw not just a coffee shop, but more of a café with a bar; a nice sized gathering spot with plenty of tables and room for some live msic. "Hallalula!" My wife gets her Fat Tire. In addition, to my surprise they also had a gluten free IPA for me- that's right gluten free beer in the middle of almost nowhere. This was a wonderful find. The drink selection was as good as a small local pub (minus the on tap selection) and the prices were totally reasonable. We didn't eat their food, they had a great sandwich menu with a wide variety from which to choose. The people were really friendly and the atmosphere was great. While we went there on a quiet Monday afternoon, I can see this place really vibrant during the weekends. Oh, Tapestry of Life Coffee House has a great selection of coffee drinks too... Stop in when you're out that way. You won't be disappointed!

I randomly pulled into Tapestry of Life traveling from Estes Park en route to Peak to Peak Highway. Tapestry features espresso, pastries, a menu with breakfast sandwiches, fresh-made lunch and dinner food, and beer, wine, and cocktails. A woman who I presumed to be the proprietor was behind the counter and offered some advice on where to find snow packs sufficient for enjoyable snowshoeing, including a tip on the local spot and a map of Allenspark. My breakfast sandwich hit the spot and next time I'll try the coffee. Who knew this place was even here?
