This place was not that good, maybe good to those that don't know Pizza, the pizza is (was) very bland. The key to a good pizza is a good crust and a great tomato sauce, this pizza has a great crust but little or no sauce and no seasoning at all, I was very disappointed. But the salad was very fresh. This business needs a lesson in Tomatoes, Olive oil, Oregano, Basil, Sea Salt maybe then the can call this place a Pizza Place. (A Insult to New York).

Pizza is okay, pretty good for its price but i highly doubt they use fresh ingredients, hell u can see the back room when u walk to the front from the parking lot. 2.75 is very good for price for the "giant slice of pizza' but cost 75 cent for certain topping, don't let you add chicken =(. Tried anchovies and it SUCKED, please save your stomach room for something better

I have never in my life been driven to write a review for a restaurant, so this will be my first. Please let me preface this by saying that this place has great pizza. Unfortunately their service is sub-par and honestly that is an understatement. I have consistently had items left out of my order, and today they completely lost my order. They made little to no effort to make this mistake up to me. Good service almost always out-weighs quality product, and this was the last time I will order from this restaurant.

The IE does not have great pizza. This pizza is pretty good. Good sauce, topping plentiful. The sausage is crumbles, but flavorful. It is thin crust yumminess!

  • Katie P.

so im pretty pickey when it comes to pizzza...and this place does come close to a good slice of pizza.. like i mean the slice is huge and cheap......

delicious and mouth watering... ask for the gianT slice with their best topping italian sausage. best i had in riverside....

  • Maui M.

Zero ambiance if you are going to eat here but the pizza is pretty good. Definitely NOT New York style AT ALL but with that being said, the crust is very good. Fluffy with a slight crunch on the bottom. Toppings are mediocre. Everybody raves about the sausage but I found it to have little to no flavor and the pepperoni is low quality. It also disappointed me that it was not cut all the way through to the center so I kept pulling my slices out with a chunk missing from the tip. Because of the good reviews we drove here from Perris and I would not do this again but I might eat here if I was in the neighborhood.

My gf and I decided to order a pizza to eat at the drive-in. The awesome thing is they delivered it to the entrance for us! The pizza was surprisingly good. I say this because we ordered it without cheese, just veggies. Usually, this ends up being a thin tomato tostada. We were very impressed by the thick crust(but not too thick) and excellent sauce. They also didn't skimp on the toppings. Thumbs up for pizza that doesn't suck!

Very impressed at the food experience. Everything that I had was amazing and delicious. I had the manicotti and my girls had the pizza, which was all very tasty. I only came here because I saw the reviews on yelp and am glad I did! There is no public restroom, which I was sorely disappointed. However, the delicious food made up for that.

Saw a coupon for this place. Ordered... got there and gave the guy my coupon. Sill charged me regular price and they argued with me over that dollar... . Honestly, I should've walked away. Got the pizza home and the crust was insanely bland. For 18 bucks, you could put some seasoning in that pizza. Won't be back. This is why they were empty on a Saturday. Next time I'm hitting up D'Caesaro.

I ordered delivery to my apartment. They said I'll get it around 45 mins but it wasn't even that long till my food arrived. I ordered chicken parm for me and fettuccini Alfredo for my gf. Their food was really good. I didn't have to pay that much either except for the delivery fee. But all in all it's delicious. Thanks guys!

Rude owner/manager I will never order from here again, the pizza is just ok but not worth the foul ups they always make on your orders. I was promised a discount for an incorrect order, just called to use it and the owner mike said he didn't care about my Buisness and wudnt honor the promise... Not the kind of place I will ever spend my money at

For only 4$ you will get a GIANT slice of fresh pizza with your choice of topping. (You have to ask for the giant slice!) When the slice is fresh, its my second favorite pizza i've ever tried. The ingredients are of a good quality and their crust is very tasty and crunchy. I am in love with their sausage pizza...and I have hated all other sausage pizzas that i've tried. But when you get a slice not so fresh it doesn't live up to this description, but still satisfying. I highly recommend this pizza, just try to order a whole pizza fresh or try to get individual giant slice earlier in the day.

i don't see why everyone is saying this is the best pizza ever, pizza hut is sooo much better, anyways...so i came to this place 3 years ago and we got a large pizza to go, it was the worst pizza ever!! it was like eating plastic or something...it was the frist time we threw a pizza away...anyways, me and my sister kept wondering why this place had so many good reviews, so we decided to give it another shot last week..we went there and got a new york style slice, and yes, it was probably the biggest slice i have ever seen, but the cheese tasted bland, i mean, it was better than 3 years ago but nothing special....

  • Jane J.

"yay! i'm a fan." i decided to check out this place cuz it's down the street from where i live. the giant slice fills me up! it definitely is giant and yummy. the staff seems nice, but i have to admit the area looks sketchy, especially at night.. me likey!

  • Geoffrey B.

One of the best pizza's in town! They have a great deal with the 24" saucer pizzas! we get those all the time for Laker Games or parties! I like the Supreme's, but the sausage is amazing! The only other pizza in the Riverside area that can compete is Round Table.

  • Billie L.

Couldn't pay me to eat here again !! I don't mind the shitty pizza but the owner is a real piece of work!!

  • Jessica E.

Ordered from them twice now. I have a household of four (may as well be six with how much they eat!) and frequently have guests over. We've gotten the massive party size pizza both times, just cheese and pepperoni, and it was phenomenal. We've never even had a crumb left, and for right around $25, it's one of the cheaper and easier ways to get us all fed. I highly recommend! Can't wait to try some of their other food items!

    (5)
  • Maria R.

What can I say, I love this pizza! It's cheesy and greasy, but oh so good. I always eat it there because I like a crispy crust. They sell pizza by the slice, as well as whole pizzas, pastas, salads and subs. I have not tried anything other than pepperoni pizza because it's so good I can't get myself to order anything else! They have some outdoor seating facing a very busy and loud Van Buren street, but I don't mind it.

    (5)
  • Ryan C.

Alright food that is way overpriced. We got a salad, a cheese steak, and two medium drinks for $18. The Philly cheese steak was alright and the salad was decent. The guy gave us the wrong dressing for the salad and then tried to charge us for the right dressing. Would go back to try the pizza, but everything else seemed like a rip off.

    (2)
  • Susan O.

BEST pizza in Riverside! Its either the sauce or the cheese or both, but this pizza is GREAT. I love just the plain cheese and they have some pretty good coupon deals, too!

  • Ruben A.

Greasy food and salty meal will not come here again. Very over priced so save your money and go elsewhere.

Decided to order from this place today and have a 16" New York Supreme delivered. Pizza arrived in less than 30 minutes. Yum!!! This pizza was loaded with toppings which included ham, onion, olives, sausage, peppers, mushrooms, and peperoni. (maybe had more). Was not greasy like many pizza's can be, it was top quality and I believe they can just hold up to the name New York Pizza Co. Its always good to find a local pizza place instead of the typical Papa J, Domino, and Pizza Hut. Also, this pizza is normally $20, and i asked for a discount when i called, and they took $2 off. So after delivery fee and tax, I still paid about $22 for this luscious large pizza, but it was WORTH IT in my opinion. They also many cheap specials for large cheese and peperoni pizza's, so if your on a budget there is an option for you. I will be ordering from here again

    (4)
  • Ashleigh B.

Don't call and order ahead for pick up. If you do you will be charged as much as twice the advertised price on the banners all over the outside of the restaurant. Evidently, if you don't ask on the phone for the special price you will pay $10.99 for the exact same pizza they advertise on the side of the building for $6.99. WTH? I should have just walked away then, but nope I got the pizza because it took half an hour to get there in lunch traffic and I did not have time to go somewhere else. The pizza it's self was ok, but NOT NEW YORK STYLE at all! I will never eat here again.

Kind of hard to like a place when one sees and hears the manager or owner yelling at the employees in front of customers. Or when that same manager or owner is sloshing water all over the floor while the place is still open and customers are waiting to place orders for food. As for the food itself, it's okay, but but you never know when it's going to be really good, or suck. Have ordered the lasagne twice...once it was excellent, the next time it was bland and WAY over-cooked. Same thing with the sandwiches. the first time I ordered the steak and mushroom, it was SO good, but the next time I ordered it, there was less than half the amount of meat and filling, leaving the ends of the sandwich nothing but burnt bread. When I called about the sandwich, I was told the guy that made had never been trained on how to make it. WHAT? Toppings on the pizzas are inconsistent, too....sometimes you get a lot, sometimes hardly any. The crust is not crunchy, but chewy. I guess I shouldn't be surprised things are so messed up. Management apparently doesn't know how to treat employees. And who ever had the signs made up doesn't even know how to spell. Don't waste your time or money.

I just gulped down the last slice of my ground sausage and pepperoni pizza and I must say this is the best pizza east of the 15 freeway. LOL For a place that was basically a burger joint a couple years ago has produced pizza as fine as the ye olde burroughs of New York. I must say I have tried many pizza places in LA and this is uncanny good pizza. Let me start off with what makes a good pizza, the crust. It a semi salty crust with crispy bite. And its NY thin as well. Next you go through the cheese that is has a undoubtedly hi mozzarella contexnt . And finally how many places offer ground sausage. They don't skimp on the ground sausage either. Over the pizza is NY pizza bliss in the Inland Empire. Also I also want to give much praise for the sandwhiches as well. The use a sesame french roll and when its baked it adds another flavor level to their delicious sanchwhich. I chose the italian and it is complete with a dill pill integrated (not on the side). They also put a decent amount of meat too. My mom happily approved as do I. You will not be disappointed. Finally a place I could say Angelenos can visit if they want their pizza fix in the Inland Empire.

The pizza here is AMAZING! And the philly cheese steak is AMAZING! The delivery is a little slow but well worth the wait.

    (5)
  • Jay C.

In my opinion there's actually a range of slices that deserve to be categorized and praised as "New York pizza." Needless to say, not all slices of pizza in New York are "New York pizza;" and there are plenty of places outside of New York that make great "New York slices." And, there are plenty of places that are guilty of false advertising. This place doesn't serve up anything resembling a New York slice of pizza. Even worse, the pizza is pretty bad. Fortunately, one can get different styles of New York pizza in Upland, South Pasadena, Los Angeles, and Santa Monica.

  • Jenny C.

Gosh, this just goes to show you that Riverside people don't really eat in Riverside. I don't blame them, haha. When people ask what is good to eat here, I can only think of this place. I only go here for the GIANT NY slice of pizza, oh and it is soo worth it. For one topping, it's not even over 4 bucks! Serious, it's worth it. It's huge, not that greasy in my book and filling. Unless you're a body building mofo like my brother, than maybe not. Most normal people get full off of it. I know everyone has their topping, but serious sausage there is MONEY. I have this thing about sausage as a topping for pizza. It has to be a certain kind. I don't like the sausage balls you get at like Pizza Hut. I don't know why, I just don't. NY pizza sausage, is my dream sausage topping, haha sounds so weird, but true. Anyways, I don't know the name, but I just call it the crumbly sausage. Really small, looks like they crumbled it on their fingertips. Hence, why I call it that. Anyways, so delicious. Everyone I know loves it too. Oh, they are at a new location now too. I don't know if this is the correct address, but don't worry they just went across the street. It's way nicer, with a gate and fountain.

This is the best New York style pizza in riverside... When the family and I go we get the 24' meat lovers.... I've been going here for about 6yrs and it gets better each and everytime...

  • Wesley K.

To say Riverside is a wasteland when it comes to good food is pretty accurate. This place is an oasis of delicious delectable cheesy saucy goodness. I dont recommend eating at the restaurant, the fountain splashes water everywhere and the places looks like the perfect setting for a drive by shooting by some sort of hit man. Putting that aside, the pizza is DELICIOUS. Like others who reviewed this place, the sausage pizza is something to behold, the pepperoni...its ok. Good not great. The BEST time to eat at this place would be on Wednesday evening, you can get a large pepperoni (now going to try getting sausage there instead) 14 inch pizza for 7.53 (this includes tax) and I havnt tried their other things but Im confident it would be delicious as well. Live long and prosper New York Pizza. Also a side note: even though they have a GIANT sign that says New York Pizza, its actually overlooked a lot. 3 people so far have missed it while I rode in their car.

MAKE SURE U ASK FOR 'CARRY OUT SPECIALS'. They have LARGE PIZZA, ONE TOPPING FOR $5. XTRA LARGE for $6. $6.99 LARGE PIZZA (WED ONLY). this pizzza is good when u eat it when it's hot. i dont know about reheating it in the morning

Decided to try this spot after the review in the IE Weekly. The giant slice was great! Added my fave toppings pineapple & jalepeno to the pepperoni slice but when I got home they gave me the cheese slice not pepperoni! But even though the slice was yummy! Perfect crust & dough texture!! I also ordered the italian sub & pastrami sub which were good the bread roll were very tasty as well as the ingredients! Definitely will go back especially for pizza!!

  • Ricardo V.

I've often driven by this place and wonder how tasty the pizza's taste. I finally decide to stop in and ordered a pizza rather than drive to Grazianos in Corona. I ordered the 16" pepperoni and bell pepper and the pizza was delicious. I also ordered a second pizza a week later and it was equally good (consistent). This location would be busier since it is nicely situated but I really think that a restroom for patrons would make difference.

    (4)
  • Lourdes A.

I loved the pizza!! The service was good the only thing I didn't like were the prices and the fact that dinning is outside.

  • Sal P.

Finally made it to this place after hearing so much about it. They are my new favorite pizza place in the 951. Friendly staff and great pizza! I ordered a 24" combo for the girls at work. This is one of those huge pizzas where they cut it into squares. Very fresh ingredients and great flavor. The pepperoni was pretty standard. It was good, not as good as the combo but good never the less. The prices are great for good pizza. I will be back.

  • Erin B.

This is my kinda kick back pizza place. No frills just good pizza! We are not talking B.J's here.... This is Riverside casual. Walk up, order and kick back on the patio! Yeah its on the street and its noisy. You may get a little wet from the fountain if you sit too close - but who FREAKIN CARES! The pizza is cheesey heaven! The ranch is good! Dinner for 2 under $10.00. What more do I need to say.

    (4)
  • Glorie T.

New York pizza is the best pizza in town!!!My family and I love their pizza, it is way better then any other ordinary place & who else has a 24" pizza for such a great price, it is ginormous! All I can say is keep up the good work!

  • Destiny K.

I've seen this place many times but never stopped because of the location; however, decided to stop by after a log day with family to share some pizza because its right off of the freeway. Now if I was basing my review purely on the food I would give 4 stars but because we ate our food there we got the full experience and I'm not diggen the outdoor seating only because its so loud! I couldn't even hear my sister talk and she was right next to me. Maybe they should consider putting a few tables in the back of the restaurant just so people can eat with some kind of quit. If I ever go here again I'll be getting it to go. Oh and I'll be requesting thin crust because the crust was very hard and took away from the flavor of the pizza.

    (3)
  • Matt H.

The pizza here is pretty good! One of the only New York Style pizzas in the area! Not too saucy or cheesy and just the right amount of grease! This is a patio style restaurant so seating is outdoors under a huge awning. You order at the window and within 10 minutes a huge piping hot pizza is ready to burn your tongue. Ours came a little on the burnt side but not bad enough to make it taste bad. When ordering full pizzas, they automatically give you an ordinary thick crust like you find at Pizza Hut so remember to request thin crust!! 8/10

  • Abraham S.

I've been wanting to try this pizza for a couple years. I ordered 2 large pizzas (little Cesar's size) one with pepperoni, pineapple and sausage, the other with pepperoni and jalapeños. The deal was 2L for $18-19 dollars. But!! Only cheese. It's $1.60 per extra topping. This is pretty normal for some places. It was pretty good but for the price I would rather have Pizza Hut, or better yet costco pizza. I've had New York pizza and this did not taste or look like New York style pizza. It was the same stuff any neighborhood pizzeria has, nothing special. If you want good pizza, they have it, if you want New York Style pizza, go to New York

    (3)
  • Bob S.

This is just a basic pizza place. Nothing "best in town" about this place. They have all the potential to be the best, the secret is in the ingredients. Hope they can change, cause we love pizza & take it very seriously.

Man, what is there too say but YUMMMMMMM.. Found this amazing pizzeria/resturant about 5 years ago when I was taking my kids too the drive in. Being from NYC, I had my reservations on the quality by looking at the building.. Looks can be deceiving. .... Ordered 24 inch pizza, chicken parm sandwhich, broucetta bread... smelled amazing and was like ok.. let's see... my 3 kids wife and I devoured it at the drive in... people asking where we got the pizza? told everyone even gave a few choice people pieces... be back soon....

Ordered a party pizza tonight. It was ridiculous. Had multiple softball and tennis size spots in it missing topping and cheese. Called and asked for store manager. Explained to him situation he did apologies and said he will give me a $2.00 credit next time ???? Really that's like a slap In the face. He said yhat he couldnt replace or refund cause owner may get mad at him. Like a 1/3 of pizza missing topping n cheese. I explained That's unacceptable. He said he would call owner to find out what he wanted to do and call me back. That was at 7pm.... it's 11:30pm and never received a call back. Horrible customer service, ripped off on food. Didn't get what I paid for and feel totally taken advantage of by this restaurant. They only care about $$$$ not customers! !!

  • Claudia P.

This pizza is bomb!!!I love the bread and crust . it's so good my kids didn't leave the crust like they usually do it's soft & crispy has a great flavor to the pizza sauce and the cheese is super melty lol love this place ...we will be defiantly returning when we come back to this side of town . Bomb.com lol

  • Melissa M.

This place has been substantially delicious for over 10 years in my opinion. I've lived down the street from here and while it's never been my first choice because of it's location off of the freeway (while still being a great location for the same reason!) it has never disappointed me. Their individual slices are huge, hot and delicious. Individual toppings add up, however, when ordering pizzas. Garlic is an amazing addition to the vegetarian pizza, regardless. XO.

  • Russell C.

Pizza was good but wife almost peed her pants because they said they had no restroom. Looked into restroom codes found out that they should have allowed her to use employee restroom. Also if they seat more than 20 people they are required to have public restroom. Would be nice if they were up to code on this one.

  • Steve W.

Disgusting! The mozzarella sticks they sent me were black. When I called to get my money back the rude manager named Olly answered the phone and refused to give me my money back. I asked for the owners contact info and he finally gave me my $6 back after arguing with him. Then he sent the delivery guy back out to my apartment to pick up the mozzarella sticks to make sure I wasn't eating them! Horrible customer service, disgusting horrible food, horrible manager! This place will make you get sick and should be out of business. Be warned!

Ok so we just ordered the deep dish pizza, bread sticks, and dessert. It is amazing! This is definitely the best pizza. Everything was so fresh and good

  • Vianey Z.

This place does not really have great pizza and it's kind of pricey. Really not worth it. Any other pizza joint is probably better. The sauce tastes like microwaveable frozen pizza and there's hardly any cheese. Again, not worth it.

So this place is right around from my work and I thought I would try it out for the first time today. Normally I would just go to the place and pick it up, but since I am by myself in my shop today I figured I would order it....So, I was looking at the menu on line and I picked out a medium combination pizza for $16.50 and the guy tells me over the phone that the total was going to be around $22 bucks and some change which I was curious about because in my head I was doing the math and it didn't calculate to that. So I ask the guy "how did you get that price"? and he proceeds to tell me taxes and also a $3.50 delivery charge, so I said, "oh, so you add the tip in already?" and he said no, that goes to the store which I found odd because I delivered pizza back in my younger days and that delivery charge always went to the driver...For some reason it just rubbed me the wrong way because I knew the guy was lying to me in hopes that he would get another tip on top of the $3.50.....So, the pizza gets here in a timely fashion of about 15 mins which was expected anyways because they are literally a block away from me. I also noticed that it was the same guy who took my order because I could tell by his voice. I am normally a very good tipper when it comes to service, and being in sales myself I know its all about service and taking care of people, but I decided at that moment that I was not going to give him an additional tip on top of the $3.50 that he was already going to get because of the game that he was trying to play with me...As he leaves I open up the pizza and it looked OK, and tasted OK, it's certainly NOT the best pizza around which they advertise on their building...So, bottom line is, the pizza was over priced, and it was mediocre at best. I have had frozen pizzas that taste better then this....Will I order from here again? NO, I will NOT, it just didn't appeal to me and the kid lying to me is unacceptable...So, good luck to those of you who are wanting to try these guys for the first time...I would say, try these guys at your own risk...

I have tried the pizza (before I knew I had Celiac) and was never disappointed. I love the thinner crust, New York style pizza with big slices you can bend in half. Always got pepperoni, black olives and onions. It's great comfort food (like the great pizza you'd save up for in college). Their red sauce isn't too overwhelming (though I still ask for lighter sauce). The pizza crust is among the best I've had. I eat all but the very last part of the crust and my boyfriend finishes even that. Normally I leave nearly half a slice of pizza on the plate because I don't like the crust on others' pizzas. We have also tried the Italian sub (again, before I knew I had Celiac). The bread was amazing! It's soft inside and lightly baked outside. It's perfect! I also ordered extra mayo and mustard and Italian dressing and they never forgot to make it as I asked. Now that I have Celiac I have to order their anti pasta salad (here's hoping they will come up with a gluten-free pizza crust). I don't even like salad, in general, but this is really good. The salad is fresh, cold and crisp. They pile on the meat and cheese, olives and mushrooms. I put my own Cardini's Italian dressing on it but their Italian dressing isn't bad either. My BF ordered their baked chicken parmigiano last night. He said it was the best he's ever had. So... overall... we highly recommend this place.

Amazing pizza! Loved that with 1 slice I was full! Delicious pizza and cheesecake for dessert. Loved that it was a simple place but unique. Good staff good experience, will go back for sure!

I have never experienced anything like this at any restaurant anywhere. We walk up to the window and attempt to order but we couldnt because the only guy there is on the phone. OK no big deal, so we wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. He proceeds to take three other phone calls right in front of us and he was literally staring and smiling at us as if to mock us that he is not going to take our order. I know at least one was a personal call because I heard him complaining on the phone that he was sooo busy BUT WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE!! After 20 minutes we were very angry and I was going to wait for him to get off the phone just to ask why he was ignoring us and being so rude but he never got off the phone after 30 minutes we decided he is not worth our time so we went to Enzos down the street, which is excellent by the way delicious food and great service. How can this place be in business with customer service like that?

    (1)
  • Lisha M.

The delivery was quick and food was still hot. I have to say that the Cannollios were wonderful and the best part of the meal. I am not a fan of greasy food or a lot of salt so this place is not for me.

    (3)
  • Brittany C.

Best pizza in town... And if you desire, the BIGGEST!! They have a pizza that (and I am not joking) we have to take our bigger car to go pick up! The thing is like 3x3 feet! Not to mention yummy!!! The chicken garlic is great and I love that they have basil as an option for toppings.

    (5)
  • Angie A.

The single slices are huge! Flavor is great. Service.........I guess it's acceptable. I don't expect 5star service but being a small business you'd think they'd appreciate their customers a little more than just repeat the total cost

  • Liv S.

Huge single slices. Orders can take a long time to come out. Customer service is okay.

First and last time here. I ordered 2 submarine sandwiches Italian and pastrami. Basically bread, very little meat and fillings. Pastrami was very fatty!

I ordered a Party size pizza from here, had it delivered. It looked and smelled great, But sadly I got food poisoning from this place. Horrible horrible and very greasy pizza!!!

  • rick m.

Large slice of pizza but it only looks large. It's probably a regular slice of pizza stretched out to look large. Thin, thin crust. I didn't like the idea of buying the slice of pizza only to have them dress it up with my extra topping

    (3)
  • Dani L.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! Good ole NY greasy cheese with a variety of toppings snuggled in to perfectly thin crust, fold in half to eat deliciousness.

Reliably good pizza. Outdoor eating only on the patio next to Van Buren. A little noisy from the street but most people just wait and take the pizza home.

When you compare this pizza to really good pizza, you're going to be disappointed. But if you compare this pizza to what's available in the area, you're pretty stoked. With that said, this pizza isn't pizza lovers pizza. It's pizza for people who want to eat a lot of pizza, right now. Like a little league team or people who drink Mtn. Dew. For me, it's all about quality. From ingredients to the final product, this place is low class. It starts with the staff. Never friendly, always rude, and always slow to service the window. I get the feeling they could care less that you're a paying customer. Ok, so I've been here a few times. Once for lunch and twice to pick up a medium pie to take to the drive-in (for the kids, of course). Every time the pizza has been mediocre at best, unless you like gnawing on crust. There's not many pizza spots in the area so by default, this is what we're stuck with. My buddy who works up the street turned me on to this place. We stopped in for lunch to order a slice. A giant slice plus soda was under $6. As lunch places go, there's nothing really comparable in the area, unless you want to go to Del Crapo or McDonald's. The outdoor seating on a busy street is uncomfortable and awkward when transients are eyeballing your grub as they shuffle by. As if the slew of heavy diesel trucks and gross polluters wasn't enough to make you picked somewhere else to eat. When you finally get your slice, don't be surprised if it looks like no one gave a shit that you had to eat this.

I love a hole in the wall restaurant because many times, you find it to be a gem. NY Pizza is just such a place. We found this place by chance a few years ago and anytime we are in the area an are in the mood for a great sandwich, GIANT pizza slice (makes a slice of pizza from Costco look small and is soooo much more tasty) or a yummy appetizer, we always stop here. To date we have NEVER been disappointed by the food. TAKE NOTE: They use garlic very liberally here. (We love garlic so that's a plus for us.) HERE'S A TIP: Order your food on the phone 20 mins before you get there. If not, be patient because the service is slow and painful at times. My wife and I just laugh it off but if your uptight, I can see how you can get annoyed really easily. (Which is the reason for the reduced star... I guess, sometime I can be uptight too.) BOTTOM LINE: You should check this place out. The food is good and the location is very freeway adjacent, but be warned, there is only outside seating and the service is slow, so don't be in a rush.

Check your order ! How can one go wrong? We ordered a Large pepperoni pizza. We got half cheese half pepperoni . We asked for pepperoncinis on the side. That didn't come either. Their wings are blah. The hot wings were soft and mushy. We asked for a thin cRust pizza. Omg it tasted like cardboard. We used to order from this place and it was always great. Whoever the new management is, not so good. Guess it's now time to find a new pizza joint. Very disappointing. And we gave a good tip too.

I will never even consider this place. This past weekend, I was visiting my parents who live in Riverside, and wanted to bring pizza. So, I yelped the closest pizza place, and this place came up. Yelp shows they have a deal for yelpers, $15.99 for two large cheese pizzas. So, I decided to give it a try. I called in, and wanted to order the Yelp special. The guy on the phone informed me he had never heard of that deal and he would have to talk to his manager first. He came back on the phone and said that was not accurate and they had to contact Yelp to change it. I asked if they can still honor it, since it's still being promoted on Yelp, and he said "no". So, I asked to talk to his manager, hoping to get a better response. A different guy came on the phone, and instead of introducing himself, he answered with "hello?", I asked who I was speaking with and he gave me his name (which I can't remember), I asked him if he was the manager, and he said he was the manager for the moment. I just told him I'd call back when the manager was on site. In reality though, I'm not going to call back. All because I know places like this only hire unprofessionals, un-friendly, no customer service type of people. But, because of that, I'll never give this place another shot. I ended up Yelping another pizza place nearby, and it was cheaper and the guy was super friendly. The place was Lorenzo's Pizza down the street on Magnolia. Two large pepperoni pizzas for $15.

You can't miss this place - they have a HUGE sign that says "New York Pizza." They have pretty good pizza! And the guys who work here are really cool. They let my son use their restroom inside (it was not a public restroom). We bought a large sausage pizza w/ garlic before heading out to the drive-in theatre nearby. I love how they sprinkle their tasty sausage all over the pizza. Their sausage does NOT have that typical strong sausage taste that will give you the need for a MEAN burp afterwards. Their cheese blend is also pretty tasty. I was surprised by how much garlic topping was on our pizza. They do not skimp on toppings, including the cheese. My son's giant cheese pizza slice ($2.75) was yummy 4 his tummy ~ he ate the entire slice in one sitting. I actually recommend the individual giant slices more so than an entire large pizza, because the crust has more of that CRUNCHY bite that I like. Their individual GIANT slice is so big for the box they give you, that they fold the tip over. After we left the drive-in movie, we went back for another giant slice (pepperoni this time) and this is one of those few pizzas that will taste good the next day. They are open late on a Saturday (they close around 11pm). You cannot go wrong with the following here: Sausage topping Giant pepperoni slice Giant cheese slice Pizza lovers won't feel dissapointed here. This place is A-OK.

If you eat here don't try to compare it to the world's greatest pizza. For what's around the area, it is most def decent. It's inexpensive, they have a variety of items to order and finish in a timely manner. A little remodeling wouldn't hurt, too. :)

First - so the place is an out door to go type place with no public restrooms. The out door type place is really cool but its also really hot or really cold depending on the wheather. It's near a street so it smells like gass half of the time and that's bad. Second - wait time on the food was decent. It was about a 15min to 30 min wait. The deck was cool but also loud. Some people had to wait longer then others because there was only one person in the stand. The person was nice and had great service but it must suck . Third - the food. The noodle bow pasta dish . The noodles were burnt and also over cooked. It was really cheese and it was filling but not that great . Its something that you can get tired of fast when you eat it a lot. Also the noodles were abit dry. I wouldn't recommend the dish . The italian pastrami That was pretty tasty . It was really good and big for it's price . I liked it a lot and this dish is what I would really reccomend. I loved it a lot .

Definitely deserves a 4/5. Heard through from my beautiful Jersey foodie friend that this was the spot for legit NY style pizza so I had to check it out. The boyfriend & I went to grab a couple slices for lunch, came out to less than $4 & took less than 20 mins. Its the kind of pizza that's greasy enough to be called junk food but still tasty enough to call it a good authentic "homey" slice of pizza. Read a few other reviews claiming that sausage is for the win as a topping & it definitely is! Better than the average dominos, pizza hut, blah blah blah. If you're looking for a break from the norm delivery commercial style pizza, you gotta make a stop here! Definitely going back & loading on the toppings fat girl style next time.

Best pizza in riverside! :) their sauce is great. I love coming here. They deliver too. Tues and wed they have specials. Overall better than any pizza I have tried in the area. It's a little hole in the wall and they don't have in door seating but in my opinion it's worth it.

The chicken wings are disgusting. The bread on the sandwich was drenched in vinegar it broke apart it was so soggy. They need to stick to pizza. Complete waste of money..

My coworker and I were starving at work and Yelped "New York style pizza". The first result that showed up was for New York Pizza Co. After reading a few reviews, we decided to try the Italian sausage with thin crust. Through the Yelp review there was a link to the website and another link for a handful of coupons. When I called to make the order, I mentioned that I couldn't print the coupon out and the guy just asked for which special I wanted and I didn't have to have the coupon. After the 30-45mins for delivery, the pizza came about 35mins after warm and yummy. Although the thin crust wasn't crispy as we wanted, it was still a great tasting pizza. I really don't like too much sauce on my pizza and it had just the right amount. I did also order the antipasto salad and it was delicious. Remember to check out for their specials and coupons online. They also have specials on Yelp!

Well I have never had East Coast pizza since leaving the Jersey Shore 20 years ago. I wouldn't say NY pizza but would say it is one of the better pizza shops of the West. Service is polite and friendly.

New York it ain't. Trust me, I am THE authority when it comes to this. There are several characteristics of a "NY-style" pizza that you should keep in mind, such as: -sheen (you want that slice to glisten) -crust (not too chewy and not too dry) -crunch (should be experienced with every bite) -temperature (the cheese and sauce should burn the roof of your mouth) -price ($2.50 is the maximum amount you should spend for a regular cheese slice) So let's breakdown the regular cheese slice at "New York Pizza Co" with said variables, shall we? Sheen - invisible. In fact, you're likely to see strands of cheese strewn about the slice that haven't fully melted. Crust - chewy and should only be used to feed your enemies (like pigeons and annoying nephews) Crunch - see above Temperature - when you're reheating slices that have unmelted strands of cheese and they're still unmelted, you've got a room-temp slice at best Price - $1.25 for a plain cheese (you're overpaying btw) I've had great pizza across the country and this place should be sued for misrepresentation. I'll put it plainly; if this place were to open up in Brooklyn, Queens, or even Bergen County (NJ), it would close within 3 months. They serve the type of pizza that traditional Tri-Staters abhor. And the fact that they claim to serve a style of pizza that I love, only twists the knife more. You can forget about adding garlic powder, oregano, or parmesan cheese to your slice if you choose to "dine-in" because they hate you. That's why you're only option is to sit outside. They're hoping the exhaust from the nearby 91 Freeway will mask the "flavor" of this deplorable slice. Hate isn't strong enough of a word...

I've been living in Riverside all my life and I have passed by this place countless of times. So finally the boyfriend and I decided to finally try this place out. There is a huge parking lot in the back. The menu is pretty standard. They got some pastas and some other stuff. So we ordered the 24 inch pizza with italian sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and olives. And it was $31. And the wait for the pizza was 20 minutes. The box is freaking hugeee! I can barely fit it in my car and through the doorway when we got back home. This pizza smelled so freaking good. And when you open up the box, you just see the glorious 24 inch pizza. The crust of the pizza tells you if it's going to be a good pizza or not. And the crust was good, it had a little crunch, fluffy, and sweet. Once that bite was taken I knew this was probably going to be one of the best pizzas I have ever ate. And I was absolutely right. The rest of the pizza tasted so freaking good. Definitely coming here for more pizza later. With the boyfriend and me, we killed half of the pizza. NOM NOM NOM! Best pizza in this area..period.

Pasta and pizza take-out located in a converted hamburger stand. They make their own sauces, and the food is a definitely a cut above what you might expect from such a location. Their meatball recipe is a winner, and so is their eggplant parmigiana. Ironically, their pizza seems to be their weakest point, so we usually order from the pasta side of the menu, Excellent prices, and pretty darn good food. Tuesday night pizza special is good for treating the kids. A few tables located outside next to a busy street. Fire station across the street. Atmosphere loud? Somewhat of an understatement. To go.

Great place to grab a slice of pizza, a huge one at that! I wish I had discovered this place sooner!

Best Pizza Ever! My only complaint about this place is that it seems like they charge you for every topping when you use a coupon. Yes they offer supreme, chicken garlic, and veggie pizzas but I haven't seen a Hawaiian or meat lovers pizza offered on the menu, let alone offered on a coupon. Employees are nice. The owner was rude with a big attitude during my past visits. Very unprofessional, especially toward his employees. The last time I was there a Hispanic gentleman handled my order and he was professional and nice. This pizza place definitely has room for improvement but otherwise a very tasty and delicious pizza. The stuffed pizza is the best. A little bit overpriced on their menu but worth it nevertheless.

Great hole-in-the-wall! I've had many slices of pizza here. Each slice is customizable with all the toppings you can think of-- But the pizza bread is great. It is $1.25 a slice with toppings at 25 cents each. You can basically get 3 slices for $5. I've also had their Philly Cheese steak-- you have got to try it.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
