Wow, they do not mess around here at lunch time! By far the largest selection of quality indian food. Several meat curries and veggie ones, samosas, 3 desserts. Love how they keep the gulab jamen warm. What a difference- transforms them from cold curd balls to warm flan fried balls. Best kheer rice pudding ever. Points for having navratan korma and spicy fish in the line up, garlic naan not the best I've had. Could be more flavorful and lighter. A steal for $9.99! Place was packed and I particularly enjoyed how they had a pitcher of water at every table.

Being a huge fan of Indian heritage restaurant, when it closed I was afraid I would never find good Indian food in Fresno again. Then I discovered royal Taj. I was very pleased. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Granted, I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, and they do have an extensive menu, but what I have had has been fabulous. The korma is amazing and they have no problem making anything as spicy as you can handle. A definite plus for a guy like me. The lunch buffet is quite cheap and is full of dishes that are actually very good. The desserts they have are traditional, so most westerners may not necessarily enjoy them, but if you are a fan of Indian cuisine, they are right up your alley.

It was my first time coming here and the decor was really cute! There was probably another couple there besides us, but based on other reviews I guess its packed during lunch time. Moving on I ordered the chicken tikka masala, and we had naan of course it was pretty good BUT the only thing that didnt impress me was that my meal didnt have as much chicken :/ btw it was 14.99 it had more rice than chicken, this is the reason why I gave 4 stars. The server was really sweet and patient. I will be returning to try other things later in the future. They also had a sign that said they will be closed on Mondays.

Royal Taj is excellent for its lunchtime Indian buffet's great deal for the price $8.99 with free flowing naan, but Im not too thrilled about dinner because it was expensive for one ($11 and up) and quality was not to my standards in my opinion, and to sour things up further my server was kinda rude; I was actually disappointed for my dinner time experience. Positively this place does really well for its lunchtime buffet and it is a real good deal for $8.99 for all you can eat indian buffet, the selections aren't like bombastically huge, but they have a good sampler of their menu, they have the basic's like chicken tandoori, tikka masala, goat curry/chicken curry, fish pakora for proteins, while for vegetable they had like channa, saag panner, black dhal, vegetable pakoras and samosas. And they even have dessert of gulab jamun and badam kulfi. They also offer see salad and condiments for their buffet. But the sweetest part is their fresh naan; both garlic and original that you can order as much as you want, they are so fresh and fluffy. The food taste good, authentic, but of course this is more to punjab indian food style so Im only ok with it, but thats because punjab indian food style is not my favorite indian style of cooking. My negative experience would be for dinner, I find that the prices are ridiculously expensive yet the food doesn't reflect that. I ordered naan($1.49) and garlic naan ($1.99) and boneless chicken tandoori ($10.99) and also the mango lassi ($3.99). The other dishes especially the vegetables dishes are so expensive, like everything was $10 and up per dish, which is pricey if you would like a wider selection, I would have loved if they had 2 pricing maybe medium and large pricing therefore for those liking a smaller portion could pay less, because lets face it ordering 3 dishes from the menu if your single already amounts to $30, thats crazy. But anyways back to taste tale of my food, the naan was excellent, but the tandoori was just ok, lack flavor in marinade kinda blend and boring with every bite, but on the flip side it was moist and not burnt. The worst is my mango lassi- it tasted like I dropped a jar of sugar into my drink, it was SO overwhelmingly diabetic kinda sweet, like if a diabetic person drank this they would be dead the next minute. But my biggest issue is the taste, it did not taste like mango lassi at all and it didn't look like mango lassi, it was not creamy, it was just watery and looked like they just put mango juice or puree into my cup. WORST MANGGO LASSI EVER. Service person for dinner was like really rude, not normally the case with the lunch time-the ladies here are friendly but the guy server is just plain rude. So I came in, no hello from this indian guy, its common courtesy to say hello and welcome to your restaurant, but he didn't think that was a good idea, so I said I want get order for takeout. When I made my decision, I started ordering, before I could move on he told me to stop talking so that he could write them and catch up, I was like what?- Im sorry english ain't your first language and you can't catch up (never have I've been told by a server to stop talking like ever), so anyways gave him the evil eyes and reiterated my order because his brains couldn't catch up. He had no please or thank you, and in my opinion shouldn't be serving here- he had no customer service character. Normally the service is good here- the ladies that serves here are normally very polite and courteous. So anyways, I would definitely come for lunch time buffet, great deal there, but would avoid dinner time here. The interior is nice, looks like an indian restaurant, kinda cramp at the entrance but gets spacious once inside. The service is lovely if you get the ladies, but the guy server has customer service out the door.

Absolutely the best Indian food in Fresno, CA!!! The staff is very nice. The food is always fresh and the flavors are amazing!!! The Chicken Tikka Masala is the best. The buffet is very good at $9.99 including Naan bread. Definitely recommend!

Best Indian food in Fresno - hands down. The lunch buffet is so inexpensive, and offers an amazing volume and variety of choices. Moved here from L.A. and have been searching for good Indian for years. I finally found a good place and I highly recommend Royal Taj!

Not gonna get a better deal on Indian food in this town then Royal Taj's lunch buffet absolutely fresh. Dinner prices are up there but you get what you pay for, great service and amazing food.

Great food! Best tasting indian food we had in a while! Definitely would recommend it if you are in fresno. My husband loved his tandoori chicken!

My friends and I were out to explore cultural restaurant and this one did not disappoint! Despite my sad tolerance for spice, I was still able to eat and enjoy the dishes! I read several reviews about the goat curry and do recommend it myself! It's a great combination with the nan and rice, as well as the complimentary appetizers which were a type of chips with 4 different sauces. The buffet was a great option to have as well.

Best indian buffet lunch I've ever had!! They had fresh garlic naan and tons of good selections with very friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

This review concerns the dinner menu items. I cannot comment on the lunch buffet. This restaurant is WAY overpriced for what is received. $12 for Malai Kofta that consisted of three extra-mushy, small, carrot-heavy balls. That's four dollars a ball. $15 for tikka masala that contained maybe 10 TINY cubes of (admittedly very well cooked) chicken. That's well over a dollar per cubic inch of chicken. Additionally, even at "spicy", the sauces were dull and lifeless and far too heavy on the cream. They didn't taste like much of anything. The veggie samosas were good. The mango lassi had chunks of ice in it and was quite watery. Long story short: passable-but-boring food -- you can do better for your money.

Staff is always friendly. Our pick up orders are filled in a timely manner. Love the goat Korma.

The food here is great. I've been sad ever since North India closed but now that I've found this gem I am again in a happy place! What ever you do get the chicken Tikka masala and i get dat ish spicyyyyyyyyyyyy. I knew i would pay for it the next morning but i had no idea. My fear was confirmed this morning as it ripped its way out of me in a raging fiery whirlwind of poopy terror. That being said go here and enjoy great food and hospitality you will not regret it........ unless you go spicy, do not get spicy. If you do cooling wipes are nice...... just saying.

All the good stuff.. fresh, and yummy! Halpreet was so attentive to us, while the owner stopped at each table to ensure happiness..

Saag paneer here is so good! And you get rice and naan or soup and salad with each entree! Very good price for the amount you get.

As an Indian myself, I personally think my family has the best cooking (a completely biased opinion obviously.) I never eat out at indian restaurants. this restaurant, however, fills my craving when I missing food from home. I have only ordered the Chicken TIKKA (NOT TIKKI) masala, and it is the best I have ever had. I have tried other restaurants from here in Fresno, and nothing compares to Royal Taj. The motherly woman working always knows my order, and today when I went she had already added jalapeño pepper for me to add into my food. She obviously remembers her regulars, and I love the environment here. It may look a little outdated on the inside, but never let looks fool you! This place is a gem, and they completely take care of you whether you order out or eat in.

We ate here during a short visit to Fresno and were very impressed. The variety at Lunch buffet was really good. Food was delicious. I think its probably one of the best value for money buffets given how reasonably priced it is. Staff was exceptionally courteous. We would love to visit again. Highly recommended!!

Shrimp Tikka Masala and the goat curry are fabulous but I have to remember to order "mild". Medium was just too hot for me but the flavors are perfect. Very authentic restaurant. Highly recommend.

A very nice experience at Royal Taj. The service was excellent and our order was right on the mark. Good portion sizes. I like the extensive vegetarian selection on the menu. Prices range from $10-13 for dinners which include soup, naan, & rice. They offer a nice house Cabernet and the wait staff are easy on the eyes as well!

Horrible service and pretty horrible food. Shocked to read such good reviews. The food was pretty bland and the portions were pretty small.

After striking out with a few other places, I finally found a reliable spot to get my indian fix. Stopped by here mid week for dinner and was a little hesitant due to the fact that the place was completely empty. Presentation was pretty authentic and service was prompt and friendly, we ordered a tandoori mixed plate and chicken tikka masala specialty plate. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of food. I can put it away, and having not had good Indian food since relocating from the bay area almost a year ago, I over-indulged. My fiance and I left stuffed to the point of discomfort and we still had leftovers! It looks like they have a lunch buffet and based on its proximity to St. Agnes, I imagine it gets a lot of its business during lunch hours. I would definitely recommend Royal Taj to anyone who knows good Indian and don't want to get bent over the table price-wise.

My favorite Indian food in Fresno. The selection is great and the food is well priced. it always seems to be empty when i come, which means no waiting, but i hope more people start coming to this place so it can stay open. The veggie pakora is the best ever! and the mali kofta is my favorite vegetarian dish

    (5)
  • Heather S.

Their food is always delicious and they DELIVER!! I have come in for both lunch and dinner and always leave full and happy. The chicken curry is awesome and they use better quality chicken than other Indian restaurants I've had here locally.

Ordered off the menu for lunch, had malai kofta, shahi paneer, and those dessert balls, can't recall what they're called. Firstly, I agree with the previous reviewer that its overpriced! $5 for 2 of the dessert ball things! And over $10 for 3 pieces in the malai kofta. Wow. Secondly, my lunch date was with my 4yo, who's favorite foods are Indian and Ethiopian, so we're used to spicy and enjoy moderately spicy foods. We asked for "medium spice" bc usually mild is too bland. The dishes were so spicy the flavors were completely hidden! We ate a few bites and couldn't eat anymore, even with guzzling water and root beer. It was disappointing to spend $30 pre-tip for food we couldn't eat. I take this $Bazillion.00 fancy-pants reflux medicine, and thank god, because I could feel it arm-wrestling those chilis for hours after my 5-bite lunch. I probably would've spontaneously combusted without it, so thanks for that big pharma. This place has such good reviews, I might try the buffet, I'm sure its blanded-down, or maybe try asking for mild or less spice. Consider yourself warned.

I'm a little bit picky when it comes to Indian Buffet because there's a place in OC I like so much and not many places compare. Royal Taj comes very close though. Every thing was delicious. The rice was fluffy and fragrant. All the curries were very flavorful, but my favorite is the goat curry and navratan korma. Their Tandoori chicken is a bit on the dry side but I love to eat it with the mint and tamarind sauce. The mango lassi was refreshing. Garlic naan was delicious as well. It was about $9 for the lunch buffet. We went on a Saturday, and it was not crowded at all...got seated right away. All in all this will be my go to spot for Indian buffet in Fresno.

    (5)
  • Kristin L.

I had their chicken tikka masala with basmati and it was melt in your mouth delicious! You receive a very generous portion. My portion was two meals. I saved my leftovers for lunch the following day. I will definitely go back here when I'm in the mood for Indian food!

    (5)
  • Joanna L.

Excellent selection at their buffet. Most places offer only 2 dessert options but this place had rice pudding, gulab jamun AND rasmalai, which is usually only available a la carte. Everything was well prepared and the presentation was good. Would definitely recommend.

So I lied. Came here again. This time for the lunch buffet, but only because the Indian restaurant my wife wanted to go to is closed on Mondays. Good value- all you can eat lunch for $8.99! All the things I tried were very fresh and tasty. The garlic naan was thin and slightly crunchy, not overly buttered- nice! My favorite dish was the curry chicken. Very tender, moist and flavorful. My wife really liked the vegetarian stew (navratan korma). This place is a strong 3, maybe even 3.5. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back again because there's a better place closer to home. But if your looking for a good Indian Restaurant, give em a try!

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Fresno! Everything that I've had so far was great.

  • Greg S.

The buffet lunch was a nice change. A large selection of food. This is a well run restaurant, it's a calm, comfortable and pleasant place to eat. It's a good place to have some excellent Indian food that isn't overly salty. The naan is made to order. It's spotless and super duper clean. And I liked that they didn't have some loud music or radio messing the works up. Part of what makes anything exceptional is knowing when to stop. The tendency is to keep adding, layering it on until it's just a mess. This place knew when to stop and the balance is perfect. The food exceeded expectations. The service was wonderful and the folks working there are friendly and as humble as could be. I ate at another Indian restaurant here in Fresno and the food was so salty I could barely eat it. Balance! -G

Saturday Night and we wanted to try something new to eat, I came across Royal Taj read reviews and we decided to try it. WOW!!! We really love the food and the service was excellent...really attentive. We both decided to have the chicken, so we had chicken curry and chicken curry with mushrooms, one mild in spice and one spicy. The flavor was incredible and we are definitely coming back. Hat's off to the CHEF!!!!

I'm no expert on Indian food but I can confirm that Royal Taj is a nice little place to visit if you want to give Indian a try. Don't expect much help from the staff in helping you to understand the menu items and don't bother wasting your good jokes on them as they seem lost on humor...Now back to the food. We had Mutton [goat, chivo, etc.] Korma and Chicken Jalfrezi. There was also a pretty basic salad which I imagine made a move from its old neighborhood in a bag to my plate. Soup was included with one dinner and it was quite good. The goat Korma was tasty but watch out for the occasional bone! I'm at a loss on the Jalfrezi. My previous experience with Jalfrezi was from the jarred version of the sauce sold at Fresh & Easy and I have to say I would prefer that over the Royal Taj Jalfrezi. Wow! Sounds like a pretty bad review. It really isn't bad. I think I'm just in a mood over expecting more. It's a fine Indian place if you're in the 'hood but otherwise I would say don't plan a date around it.

Not from the area and a novice to Indian food, I decided to try the buffet and a couple of different dishes. You won't get the names from me ( butter chicken, curry goat and chicken comes to mind,...there's not an option I didn't love and I tried quite a few. I would most certainly be a regular if I lived here. Affordable and delectable.

  • Joshua B.

Showed up for lunch buffet but didn't have the buffet! Hah, it looked delicious; seriously, there were some great dishes in it but I really had a hankering for samosas in chana masala, and as soon as I saw their Royal Taj special curry - lamb in a dark curry sauce with a side chicken tandoori drumstick - I was totally sold. It was as good as advertised, especially coming with all sides for no extra charge. Both the tikka chicken and the curry lamb were exceptionally flavorful, a touch spicy, and incredibly well marinated as I'd expect, but what really surprised me was how good the tandoori was, not dry at all. In fact, it tasted like KFC grilled chicken, with extra pepper and spice, and you all know how good that is. I could have used a little spicier, so next time I'll get hot instead of medium. (Hard experience has told me not to start with hot at a new place.) The only complaint I have is the slow service, when only three tables were filled, since there was one person trying to do everything and probably help in the kitchen as well, so I had to walk up to the counter to get my check. I can't imagine how they deal when the place fills up. She was very nice, though, and I'd love to go back, especially with it being right next to Thai Royal Orchid. To make up for it, she totally hooked us up with those sweet cheese balls after our big meal; the pastry case was so tempting but I had to force myself not to get me. Funny thing about the decoration - I'm almost 100% sure that this used to be an Italian restaurant, with murals of stone castles and grape stained glass windows. Next to the Indian artwork, it adds a very odd and unique vibe the place. Too bad the fusion isn't complete, because curry pasta sounds positively EPIC.

  • Mj L.

Good lunch buffet EVERY day for only $8.99. Garlic naan, mango chutney and multiple desserts are standard unlike some buffets that charge for those items. Royal Taj has never disappointed. They offer mild and spicy dishes to appease all palates. Customer service is also good.

    (4)
  • Jenny H.

For Fresno, this is amazing Indian food. And if this place were in a place like San Diego or Los Angeles it would hold it's own. I've only been for lunch but it's a buffet style lunch with naan delivered to your table. Very yummy and prompt courteous service.

    (4)
  • Mya D.

I purchased the groupon for this restaurant so I tried out. Chicken tikka masala tasted like more like chicken makini. Naan had too much butter and kind of flat. Mix tandoori plate most of them are little off the flavor. Mango lassi was great. Am I going back to this place...? Maybe not this is not "The One" for me! My search of Indian restaurant in the area will continue....

    (2)
  • Jennifer M.

Although the buffet is a little on the small side, the flavor and service make up for it. The samosas are cooked and spiced to perfection and the flavorful curries will leave you more than satisfied. This place doesn't boast with the main stream "hey look at me in a modern indian restaurant", and some may consider it a hole in the wall with mediocre decor, but this place is a hidden gem in Fresno for authentic indian cuisine. My goal is to try all the curries and find something hot enough to keep me talking or better yet just shut me up. I will definitely be a regular here.

3.5 stars, 4 for the sweets and 3 for the buffet So I had a chance to hit the lunch buffet with a group of coworkers. It's nice to have another Indian restaurant east of Blackstone. (Like two to the east and over a dozen to the west of Blackstone). The owner has to be one of the genuinely nicest restauranteers I've had the pleasure to meet. He even told one of us the ingredients of his sweets. The decor is well done and the layout works well. The lunch buffet has a pretty decent selection. The flavors were a little subdued for my tastes. Not quite my wheelhouse. Bummer. On the other hand, the sweets are good enougn to only write home about, but to send home in their cool little togo boxes. These are about the best Indian style sweets I've had. Most are too sweet for my palate. When I asked the owner to set up a variety box for me to buy, he comped me on a delish assortment. NICE!

I've only been to a handful of Indian restaurants in Fresno, but this is my favorite (I stopped going to others after finding it). It has a very family-run feel to it, with a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. I've had a few different servers in the times that I've been there, but they're always very warm and attentive. They have an excellent range of options and servers are very polite about explaining dishes and making recommendations. My husband gets the Chicken Tikka Masala every time we go, which is consistently amazing. Their vegetarian options are also delicious (I think about their Mushroom Korma constantly!). If you're not sure what to get for dessert (if you even have room for it!), get a mango lassi. Smoothies do not compare. We've also gone for the lunch buffet, which has a good selection of options for omnivores and vegetarians as well. Basically, everything there is delicious. It's only $9 per person and comes with fresh naan.

I have dined at every Indian restaurant in Fresno, and this is absolutely the best. I have only had the lunch buffet, and it is always hot and very tasty. I do not like the televisions as it does not enhance the dining experience, but the staff always turn on the Indian music for myself, and my friend which definitely adds to the enjoyment.

Hidden Gem!!! This place is absolutely delicious. The food is as better than several other places in Fresno. Service is pretty darn good. The price is great. Combined with how good the food is, this place is my go to for Indian food. I've only had dinner, never done lunch buffet, so I can not comment on that.

Chilli Chicken was good appetizer, but lamp curry was really awful. It seems like they had forgot to add spices to the lamb curry, I'm indian I know how lamb curry tastes, this is a disgrace.

I just left from eating here and I give it 5 stars and two thumbs up!! I am glad that I chose to eat here. The food was out of this world! It felt as if my grandmother was in the kitchen making the food! All of the food was delicious and worth having! The servers were also nice and were sure to make us feel at home and welcome. If you are in the area and need a place to eat I heavily recommend this place! I will be coming back for sure!!!(:

I came into the place not expecting alot but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Tons of flavor. Very helpful staff. We came for dinner and we were greeted and immediately the the waitress was eager to help us out with everything on the menu! Not that this was my first indian restaurant. When we got our food the waitress explained what everything was and again was very warm and welcoming. The portion size was deceptively big and for a family of four it was more than enough. I commend the gulab jamun they served, and the vegetarian dishes that we ordered. Great place, gotta try the buffet sometime.

My husband and I bought a Groupon and went in for lunch. We walked in and the staff was very attentive and very friendly. They have a lunch buffet that looked and smelled amazing but since we had the Groupon we had to order off the regular menu. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, it was creamy and had the perfect amount of spice...DELICIOUS! The Garlic Naan was just about amazing...I am still thinking about it. We also ordered Chicken Tandoori - we got a whole chicken and it was tender and melted in our mouths. With our lunch we got a salad and chicken soup. We really enjoyed everything we ate and will be frequent diners. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Very good food. Went for the lunch buffet and was very impressed. We tried it all and didn't have any I disliked. Spices were perfect not killer hot just where it should be. Buffet was $8.99. Will defiantly go again.

  • Nathan W.

Oh buddy this place is great. Indian lunch buffet between 11 and 230, oh hell yes! Chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, and garlic naan, all excellent. Tandoori chicken was also good but just a tad dry. Some others dishes I tried (lentils and veggies), all good as well. The GF was equally as impressed. Buffets are a good way to get a feel of what a place serves and how well it makes particular dishes. We will be back buddy buddy.

  • Sahil M.

I ordered Samosa chana which were so fresh and I guess is the best in town. I later ordered Navratan Korma and Paneer tikka. Gravy of both the dishes were different and mouth watering. I no longer miss my Indian vegetarian food :) Moreover, they gave us fresh hot gulab jamun at the end of dinner for free!

  • Carol G.

Our new favorite Indian restaurant! We had read the reviews that raved about the owners, yet were a little worried that we might not like the food, since we have been disappointed with several other small Indian restaurants. Honestly, we were served the best mango lassies we have ever had! We ordered "medium spicy" - which made for a wonderfully flavorful lamb Tikka Masala which was still mild. The mushroom korma was equally rich and delicious. Our selections came complete with pappadoms, soup, salad, rice, and more naan than we could finish. The copper serving bowls and utensils were a nice touch. Our gracious hostess and the confidence of well prepared Indian cuisine will call us back!

  • Christine A.

I've been to about 4 Indian food places around Fresno and Selma, and this one is my favorite, hands down. Get the Lamb Tikka Masala with garlic bread - so good! And there's always leftovers for work the next day. The woman, whom I believe is the owner, is also really kind and helpful. The decor lacks something to be desired, but definitely gives off a "mom and pop" kind of vibe, which I appreciate.

I've been here three times now (twice for buffet) and it's been hit and miss. You can't beat the price of $7.99 for the buffet. The selection was good, but many of the items seemed to lack flavor and the second time I went the food was cold. I was much more satisfied when I ordered off the menu. So although I wouldn't say it's the best in town, it's in a convenient location, decently priced and the service is good, so I'll probably go back.

This restaurant is located in a very good area and very easy to find so that's always a plus. I went here with my good friend, also my cousin and we just wanted to try a good Indian place. Being that there are not so many in our area, and I had heard a lot of good things about this place, I had to see what all the hype was about. When we entered, I'm guessing the owner greeted us and then we were taken to our table. We came for the buffet and it was advertised on their sign outside the place that it was over 15 items and more, but to our dissapointment there were only 11. But not to say that those were not good, we just expected more. And it also seemed like those 11 had been sitting there for quite a while, because the items were on the warm side and not hot. The naans that we got were served fresh and were very good, but expected more from a place that has gotten so many good reviews from a lot of my good friends. After we ate our buffet we wanted the dessert, so decided to eat the gulab jaman. That too was sadly cold, when this dish is supposed to be served hot in order to let the syrup run and soak the donut (gulab jaman). The place is decorated nicely, and has a great ambience and is smalll which is nice because you feel like you are coming home when you smell all the nice aromas of the food and see the sweets. I wouldn't not go back, it's definately worth trying, I would just work on the buffet.

We have a couple of Indian restaurants we like in town but thought last Friday we would try a new one. We arrived at Royal Taj with no expectations. We were first greeted by our waitress Misha that genuinely made us feel welcome, not that typical forced smile. The restaurants ambiance was warm and inviting. It seems to be family run, large assortment of Indian pastries made from scratch, food seemed fresh and bold in flavor, reasonably priced. I was impressed with our waitress Misha, my wife and I walked up the pastry glass display and had no idea what we were looking at but she came right up and explained all we wanted to know. She also took the time to explain items on the huge menu. I have never seen so much to choose from at any Indian restaurant. We had Chicken Makhani, Mutton Korma, Karahikarahi gosth, naan & rice and it was awesome! We will be back many times to come and will recommend this restaurant to friends.

Read about this place from the Fresno Bee, what a great find. I'm so pleased with service and food. Friendly staff and most helpful. Most important other then great food was how clean the place is. So glad to have a great Indian Restaurant on the north side of town A must place to eat for lunch the buffet special is a money saving deal. So much to choose from and from what the owner told me it changes each day.

This place has one of the best Indian cuisine I've eaten in the US. it's also complemented by good ambience and good service. Be sure to try panner tikka masala and lamb biryani

Buffet Lunch: The selection was limited, (thus only 4 of 5 stars), not what you'd expect compared to your typical Chinese buffet where you'd find 25-30 selections of dishes. However, the chicken curries (mild not spicy), the various side dishes, dessert, and exotic sauces were enough for us and most importantly...everything tasted very good. There was also a bowl of pita type Indian bread that was perfectly toasted that was simply outstanding. Finally, the owner was extremely nice and told us they've only been opened for 2 1/2 months. We would definitely come back for the lunch buffet and possibly try their fine dining.

They seated us, then said that they had an event starting in 30 minutes and we either had to leave, or order, wait for them to make it, and somehow eat it in 30 minutes.

This was my first adventure in Indian cuisine. I am currently here on a business trip and yelp recommended. I didn't feel like doing a chain restaurant. I tried the chicken masala..samosa chana and some little spongy balls with syrup. I had difficulty with the menu and needed to Google what items were BUT I will say that it was worth it!! I really enjoyed the chicken masala. It was very flavorful and reminded me of a stew texture. It was awesome! Thank you for all the recommendations!

I had tried this restaurant for Mother's Day with my based on yelpers graded this as almost perfect rating. What a disappointment. Food was salty, not much selection from buffet menu, we end up feeling bloated and gassy after lunch. Had to drive back to LA with such discomfort.

We stopped here on the way from Los Angeles for lunch buffet. Very limited items in buffet. Taste was very moderate. The naan was good. The curries in the buffet were okay. They only had white rice in the Buffett and no other rice dishes. Dessert was not good :(

I've only eaten the buffet but the food is so good I can't count how many times. For 9 bucks you can't beat it and the selection at the buffet always includes a new selection - and the selection is good here. The Marsala chicken is my favorite but everything I've tried here is great and I try it all. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful service. They treat us like regulars with warm conversations and little treats. The fish pakora is delicious. I usually get the saag curry. Their paneer is home made. Highly recommended!

I've been here for lunch several time now and just love the lunch buffet. I've enjoyed every thing I've tried so far. I recommend the butter chicken, the tandoori chicken and the vegetable pakoora. The only down side is that they can be a bit slow to respond when you're ready to leave, but its not enough to put me off of the place. I'll go back again!

There are many Indian Buffet restaurants and people those eat Indian Buffett food understand it is hard to find a really nice place where food is fresh and items variation offer you to taste totally different spices . Well this is one of the rare places which satisfy Indian craving with variety of food at a buffet . Service is excellent .

Went back for pick up; what I ordered did not match the menu. Chicken curry, Navratan korma. Menu items stated that all are included with naan, rice, soup and salad,,but none was in my to go box!! For the prices it's hard to believe all you would get is one small container per order ($11.49/$11.99). Luckily I had ordered and extra naan and had left over rice in the fridge. All in all came home with so little food for such a high price. If this had been my first experience with them I would definitely have written them off. I think I will stick to their buffet option only from now on. Food taste and quality still excellent.

My new go to spot for authentic Indian cuisine. My favorite dishes are the goat curry and chicken tikka masala. Lunch buffet special is $9.50 every day of the week; very well worth it. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Don't think about it, just go now!!! You'll be hooked.

The service was decent, neither friendly nor cold, but not engaged at all. The food was mediocre: my friend ordered the chicken curry as an entree, and he said the chicken tasted undercooked and slimy. He split the meat open, but it wasn't pink, so maybe it was just low quality chicken. As a vegan, I wasn't about to taste it. That said, I ordered the saag, which was drenched in ghee. I know, but sometimes I'll turn a blind eye to unseen dairy. It too was, ok, with big chunks of raw-ish garlic in it. The naan was decent as were the vegetarian hors d'oeuvres. The atmosphere looked like it was an Italian restaurant once. Just not a wow experience at any level.

I have visited here more than 20 times and realized I have never left a review for my favorite Indian restaurant! My favorite time to visit is for lunch; for only $8 you get an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes naan and your beverage plus an extensive collection of curries, rice, lentils, saag paneer, various fried items (hooray for samosas!!!!), dessert and salad. This is even on the weekends-it's not a weekday lunch special, which makes it a fantastic value everyday! The goat is tender, the chicken curry is flavorful, and I'm very partial to the lentils. There are also some fantastic sauces and chutneys included. I don't know what they are called, but the little spongy dough balls in a honey sauce are delicious and a must-try! The full menu is standard fare, varied, and delicious. I have found that the service is a little cold but the lack of warmth has never kept me away from the great food; what smiles may be missing from the servers is made up for in very attentive service with quick refills on drinks and naan. I understand that it is a family business and the wife often works in the front of house while the husband cooks. There is also a huge bakery display with a selection of items that can be boxed and purchased to go. The regular menu is also available to go.

Love the buffet. They make my favorite green mint sauce and tiki masala. We come here too much, but so worth it. Very filling and cheap.
