The team there are really cool people, very friendly and very good at what they do and its always clean. The Team and Customers are a little more laid back than most coffee shops, which is actually a plus. This week they gave happy hour from 3 to 5 and they're crazy busy during that time period handle it extremely well!

Fantastic CBTL location! Very nice and super fast service, clean store, plenty of seating. As always I got a sugar free blended mocha, add a shot of espresso and chocolate covered espresso beans, perfect every time! My favorite chain to grab coffee by far!

Fast service, good customer service & delicious drinks. What more can you ask for? This place is right in the heart of a Downtown Burbank, across from the Burbank Mall. You can grab your coffee or tea and walk around. There are some great shops around the area or you can just visit the mall for a little shopping spree. AMC theater is right around the corner. And there are so many different restaurants available bear by as well.

My ice blended mocha did not taste very good. It wasn't made right. It tasted like iced milk and had no coffee flavor.

Nice big outdoor patio seating. Friendly staff, speedy service. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare at this location.

I love this coffee bean! After my workouts or before I always go into this coffee bean and grab some ice tea or my boyfriend and I will stop by. It's honestly my favorite go to place for some quick ice tea in this hot sunny Los Angeles summer!

I absolutely love the chai tea ice blend!! I crave it almost every day. can't go wrong with coffee bean

I've been here a number of times and have always found a place to sit. However, the place seems to do a great amount of business so they are often very busy. The people who work there are very nice to me and I enjoy that they have a whole variety of herbal tea!

I love the chamomile tea it really opens up my sinus.. Surprisingly the morning staff is very friendly!!

I come here to write often and generally speaking this is a nice Coffee Bean. I'm a huge fan of this chain anyways because they always have a great selection of teas. The staff here are great! Super friendly, nice vibe and they always get my drink right. I would give this 5 stars except for the fact that the restroom is filthy and could be put on par with a cheap gas station. When ever I'm there I'm usually writing and drinking coffee or tea for about 4 hours, so I either have to use the restroom here or go home. The first time I was there, it was a bit busy so I figured, "Hey, things probably got a bit crazy today and they are behind, no biggie it happens." But it seems it's been dirty every single time I've been in there! It smells like a urinal, trash and toilette paper on the floor and this last time I was there, I just had to go home, the seat was covered in pee. I'm sorry but if you are considered a respectable coffee shop then you should have a respectable bathroom!

Normally I'd never write a review like this if it was just someplace I went to once or twice, but since my new work route brings me here almost every day, I just have to say it.... Did the morning shift employees forget permanently how to smile? The shift supervisor (I think, tall gentleman with glasses) always seems pretty pleasant and sweet, but the same poor girl I see almost every morning could pass the Permanent Stinky Face Olympics. She seems efficient, my drink is always correct, but yeesh girl! Look, I used to work for the company so I definitely know there are bad days, but surely EVERYDAY can't be so bad?! Cheer up buttercup, your frown makes my iced tea taste less refreshing. You could at least fake it; my fragile consumer brain can't handle the coldness. Otherwise the store seems clean, customers seem friendly, and at the very least one of the morning employees digs what he's doing (or is super good at pretending, for which I still give high fives.) UPDATE 1/21 Whoops. Guess she read the review and wasn't happy. Day after I leave it and today I was way overcharged for the same iced tea I get every day. Yikes. Star removed.

I have been here quite a lot and it's pretty much the same thing. Good customer service but when I get my drink, there's a 90% chance there's something off with it. Either it's not strong enough, or at the requested temperature. And today, I was very excited for the holiday drinks they have. My latte was quite bitter. I worked in a café for years so I know espresso (sort of)! It would only be this bitter if they let the shot die and/or they gave me decaf. Perhaps it would be better to just get your treats at a different location. I still love Coffee Bean, just not this one.

Still love this place Ward is awesome staff Is always pleasant if they ever make a mistake they remake it immediately, I work down the street sometimes by myself I call in and I just wait to pay for it it's already ready for me! And every time I cheat on them and go to Starbucks I always regret it (word of advice) just go here the coffee taste better anyways! Thank you guys!!

I don't usually like to review chain places, but the Asian hipster that took my order today pissed me off so here it goes. Upon my arrival, he didn't even acknowledge me. He was having a lengthy conversation with another customer about the Asians personal bullshit. I stood there for about five minutes with money in my hand ready to order but he still didn't acknowledge me even though the customer kept glancing over to me and then back at him like "maybe you should help her out". Once the customer ended the conversation the Asian hipster looked and me and said nothing, so i took this as my que to place my order. He was very short with me and didn't even thank me for my business. Fortunately the barista making my delicious hot beverage gave me a send off with a smile and a perfect latte. As for you hipster Asian, no one cares about your finals or your dreams of becoming a.....ninja or whatever Asians excel at. Just be nice and take orders.

AWESOME Kicks the crap out of Dunkin Donuts' coffee coolata and the Starbucks equivalent. Thats all I really had but If they had one in Boston, MA you know I'd be there every day!!! Dont know why someone doesnt take advantage of the fact that the east coast has no coffee beans!!!

  • Vincent V.

I personally prefer this to Starbucks and recommend you give it a shot or just a cup of coffee... They have much better coffee than Starbucks and if you are like me and enjoy iced coffee it is made from a concentrate and does not sit in a cold jug. They also have an option to overdose on caffeine by asking for your iced coffee to be "extreme..." The staff is very friendly and puts me in a great mood each and every morning that I come her. Evening staff is also cool and stays open until 11... Internet is fast, reliable and there is always a good spot to sit to work from, but don't expect to have access to a plug...

I love, love, love this place. I am a big coffee drinker and I must say that CBTL is has the best tasting fancy coffees. I use to work for Starbuck and I hate to say it but even in the best effort their hot Espresso drinks weren't as good. I recommend the Pumpkin Chai, wow that is awesome. I also like the Butter Pecan. The regular sized drinks are filling even after a relatively small dinner. So drink with caution! ;)

  • Ailyne H.

Good service. Good drinks... so much so the BF has become a lifetime addict. The only downside that CBTL can't help? The parking situation... this venue is located in Downtown Burbank right across from the mall. It's best if you have two or more people accompanying you to this location: one can be the driver and the other(s) the willing passenger(s) ready to jump out of the car to go and order. I salute you brave passenger(s), I salute you.

  • Jack P.

I rather go here than Starbucks but honestly this place is not that great. Better off going to a mom and pops coffee shop. I feel like I am paying too much for mediocre coffee.

    (3)
  • Catherine H.

Staff here is always so friendly! All smiles. Haha I love it. I like to order my vanilla latte. Drink in. And I'm in love with those glass cups. Perfect place to read, meet up for a mini meeting, study, homework. The AC could be cranked up to colder every once in a while though :) Fantastic coffee bean here.

  • Vaia S.

My favorite place for anything coffee or iced tea! Anything I get from Coffee Bean is so yummie and tasty. They are really friendly too ... not like some other coffee shops. I'm treated really nice and I always come back.

  • Chris D.

Took over 15 minutes to get my 32 oz iced tea as the order "got bumped from the screen". 6 people after me got their drinks before me. Not very happy with their service or excuse and won't be back to this location ever. They are horrible!!

Nothing beats a Southern Blend Ice Tea.... especially on a hot day like today! And the staff is super nice at this location.

  • Francisco A.

Love this place! Seems to me every time I order my dirty chai latte it comes out to perfection about 90% of the time and it's very consistent The workers and decor is top notch just as it should be, it's not like other coffee beans to me the service here is different! Reason for 4 stars is because of the price, I've been around my fair share of coffee shops and there prices are a bit to high, but that should not stop you from enjoying the lattes or other products they serve.

    (4)
  • Sarah K.

I come to this Coffee Bean regularly to study in the mornings/afternoons, and it has proven to be a good study spot! Parking: good luck finding street parking! I usually just park in the 2-hour free structure on Palm and take the walk over. I've never had trouble finding a seat. Cashiers are really friendly. I usually get any of the tea lattes (jasmine dragon phoenix pearl or english breakfast being my faaaavorites) It can get a little noisy as more people come in, but nothing some earbuds can't drown out.

    (5)
  • Hailey Z.

Bah! Starbucks!!! The prices at Coffee Bean are just too too good. Although I only got a cup of brew, none of those specialty drinks. My regular sized coffee was only a buck fifty. I dunno, maybe its just me, but I'm still shaking my head that my iced coffees at Starbucks are almost 3 bucks now. Tear. In any case. I do think that the prices here are better, but it all depends on what you like. The location here, though, I prefer to the Starbucks on the other corner. It smells terrible inside! Like rat drippings that haven't been picked up, and I know that the places on this strip have had rat problems, a while back they closed a few businesses in that vicinity due to that very problem. I've liked just about any drink I have gotten here, even their regular brew is really great tasting. No problems with fluctuating between the two chains, at least in my opinion. And of course, you've got the whole wi-fi, normal coffee house set up going on here. This place is just a little bit smaller than the norm.

    (4)
  • Daniel C.

Starbucks sucks compared to this place. Ordered a regular iced mocha, not venti or grande or whatever the fuck Starbucks codes their sizes as. just a regular ass drink, that cooled me down on a hot ass day. BAM! Reviewed.

  • Britt F.

Drinks are always prefect however the employees are more concerned about gossiping with one another than greeting you / providing customer service.

    (3)
  • Allan G.

All i have to say is that Coffee Bean needs to come to the NorthEast. Im not a huge coffee guy but i do get the occasional iced coffee or coolata back home in Boston at Dunkin Donuts. This place is way better than Dunkins and Starbucks. Takes a little longer thank Dunkins but no complaints this place is great.

  • Rose I.

I went to the coffee bean because I heard they have organic teas. I have stage 4 metastatic melanoma so now I only eat and drink organic. When I asked to verify the employees there said they think it is organic because they are all natural. I asked if they have pesticides. They said they don't think so because their food is kosher (wrong answer). Although I have come to terms with the fact that the US allows big corporate america to poison our food for profits (although not sure why that's OK) but at least inform me about it so when I go to my next ct scan and my tumors grow I know why.

Coffee Bean is Coffee Bean - What more can you say? They've got good coffee and tea drinks. Sometimes I come here and sometimes I go to Starbucks on the other end of the block, but I usually prefer here. The reason? The people here seem to love tattoos and this makes me feel welcomed and happy - and isn't that what matters in your coffee experience? I have no idea. It's late and clearly I need some coffee...

    (3)
  • Édith K.

Never disappointed. I've tried many fraps, lattes, and other drinks at many cafés and none are as good as Coffee Bean. Get the Pure Chocolate ice blended drink! You won't regret it!!

Service is AWSOME here.. And love the vanilla latte. It's a calm place where people are not loud like other coffee shops, I had the vanilla latte and i love it when I ask for extra foam and they do just that.

I usually hit this CBTL if I'm seeing a movie at an AMC in Burbank or happen to be in Burbank. I could be wrong but I think it's one of the only CBTL in Burbank. Good service and I most recently discovered they have one of the best pastry selections out of most Coffee Beans I've been to. I shared the mocha cheesecake brownie a week or two ago and it was insane delish!!!! They make a great iced non fat latte - parking can be a REAL pain!!! If you can't score a spot on San Fernando Rd. Come to think of it, I usually am parked in the theatre lot and walk over. You may need to try that. Nonetheless, another fine Coffee Bean location.

I am a huge fan/regular at Coffee Bean, and will actively look for one in whichever area I am currently in. I thoroughly enjoy my favorite Coffee Bean drinks while studying. The employees at this location are hardworking, personable, and attentive to maintaining the premise. Thank you for effectively feeding my caffeine addiction guys!!!

A nice bunch of brewers. This place is becoming my morning brew shop. Corporate which I don't like but hey it ain't starbucks who I can't stand. The staff is very pleasant without the barista snottiness. The coffee is always good here. Jean L. is right! The Hazelnut latte is pretty fucking awesome. A tad too sweet for me but still really, really good.

Tryed their Morocoan Mint Tea Latte. So good on a cold night. Location was nicely packed. Alot of people studying or using the free WiFi. Maybe because it was late the staff was kinda distracted. The girl behind the counter was chatting up her boyfriend lingering around the store. Beautiful night in Burbank. Warm drinks and good company

This place is clean and big windows. I gave this place 3 extra stars because the server was just damn beautiful. Her name was Sarah. Blonde, blue or green eyes. If you get here and see here, make sure to tip her.... I'm a sucker for pretty women. I got the holiday Latte which was Peppermint something or another and it was pretty awesome. Another plus? This place isn't as full as the starbucks down the street, so if you need a place to sit and talk, then this is your place.

    (4)
  • Lillian M.

I love this place when they bring out the holiday flavors. They had so many yummy latte flavors, I had a hard time choosing. They have very tasty looking baked goods too.

    (4)
  • Michael D.

I like these people. They are always so polite. Great team=great results. I come here at least once a week to study and read and the place is always very enjoyable to visit.

    (5)
  • Manoj N.

Staff is nice and the daily brew I got was nice. The restroom is clean. They lose one star because there doesn't seem to be enough space inside for folks to sit. They have outside seating but on a hot day its difficult to sit outside. The display and the paintings inside are nice. Free wi-fi is awesome too.

    (4)
  • Sarah K.

I really like this Coffee Bean - the employees are very nice and sociable, it's always clean, and it's never chaotic. They also always make my drink perfectly on the first try. Big fan of Coffee Bean, big fan of this location.

    (5)
  • Emylee W.

i love the baristas that make my drinks! If I don't know what I want to drink they either offer their own favorite or concoct one that I will enjoy

    (5)
  • Jay O.

Latte is not what it use to be. Employees are great people, but only two people can make a drink in this place, Alicia and the hipster dude in the morning...forgot his name. With the price increase, no longer a daily spot. RIP coffee bean.

    (2)
  • Curt R.

Espresso drinks here tend to be sweeter than I like. The coffee is good and the ambiance is good. I don't love their crushed ice as it dilutes my coffee to quickly. Otherwise basically on par with other chain coffee places. If you're avoiding that S chain maybe try here.

    (4)
  • Narek K.

My favorite Coffee Bean that I have been going to for as long as I remember. Great atmosphere, great staff and great location.

    (5)
  • Constance G.

Don't tell my coffee snob friends, but I prefer this place over Starbucks. Their chocolate ice blended and mocha ice blended drinks are delish. They have a great assortment of pastries for food on the go. Prices are comparably to Starbucks, but whateves. I always feel like a California girl when I go here.

Even on a bad day (for me or for the store), I would give this particular branch of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at least 4 stars. I have been coming to this particular coffee house since 1999, and visit on average at least once or twice a day. I had my first CBTF (Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) experience in March or April 1999. A friend of mine and I went to Larchmont, and she suggested I try the Vanilla Ice Blended. Well, I became quickly hooked on those, and by fall of '99, I was having one or two a day. How does that work out? Well, for those of us who are either too lazy to make breakfast, or who are not hungry for breakfast, a Vanilla or Mocha Ice Blended makes a wonderful meal - as long as you don't focus on the nutritional content. ;-) I gradually ventured towards the Mocha Ice Blendes, and they are my daily vice and diet staple to this day. I have one for breakfast and one for lunch, and then I eat whatever I want for dinner. Yes, it's a bad habit, but I don't drink, smoke or gamble, and I'm not really a 'shopaholic,' so this is where I give in to temptation. ;-) Having gone to this particular store for 12 years now, I have seen so many employees come and go. Throughout the years, I have experienced extremely courteous people who have worked there, and they have consistently tried their hardest to please their customers. Once they get to know you as a regular customer, they greet you by name and may even start to prepare your drink while you're waiting in line behind someone who is still deciding what he or she wants. For those of us who are often in a hurry - especially in the morning - this is great! I've been to other CBTL stores, and while I don't have any real complaints about service, generally speaking, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on San Fernando Blvd in Burbank is by far one of the best in terms of customer service, speed and care taken to make your drink the way YOU want it. They really do aim to please. It's gotten to a point where I consider them 'family' now, even though so many of my 'family members' have left and moved on to other adventures. As for parking, I recommend parking in one of the nearby Burbank Town Center mall parking structures. I park near Macy's and cut through the store, right through the heart of the mall, passing another favorite store of mine (Mandarin Gems), and then I go out to cross the street. Generally speaking, the parking is tricky by 7:30 AM, and it doesn't get any better throughout the day. At least now, there are time limits set and enforced in the parking spaces right outside the stores on San Fernando Blvd. For those who enjoy iced coffees and cold flavored drinks, I highly recommend: the Vanilla Ice Blended, the Mocha Ice Blended, Malibu Dream or Sunrise, and Pomegranate-Blueberry. When the holidays are near, come fall, the Peppermint Ice Blended is also wonderful!

    (5)
  • Lisa S.

The poppy seed scone was ridiculously DRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! But the pom blueberry tea latte was amazing as always. Parking here blows.

    (2)
  • Abe K.

The closest in experience to Peet's - in terms of the coffee served and friendly, warm staff. When in Southern California, we visit the C Bean. Wife loves the iced coffees and kidlet thinks they make the best hot chocolate... he says 'Its up there'.. as high as his little hands can stretch. Warm smiling and courteous staff.. What more can one ask for. However, the Burbank downtown, like any other, can pose parking challenges.. so watch out

    (4)
  • Heather H.

It's better than Starbucks, and if you have nowhere to be for the next nine hours, they let you sit outside and not buy anything extra. Thusly, it's where I wasted my late teens and early twenties bumming around, conversing with my friends and chain smoking. That said, (sadly.) I would give my first kid for a Moroccan Mint Latte. Really. I live out of state now, and I haven't been able to find any thing like it. So unless someone wants to send me the Coffee Bean's chocolate powder and tea, I will be left to dream....

    (3)
  • Senor X.

This place is certainly above average for a CBTF/Starbucks chain place (I try to avoid chain coffee shops). A big thanks for being open on April 24 this year, a day of mourning for LA area Armenians as well as Easter for Christians. That weird brownie cheesecake thing...it was pretty good too!

    (4)
  • Mari D.

Sorry to say it but i choose coffee bean over Starbucks any day! i love coming here for the delicious ice blends and hot drinks! I always get a green tea ice blend of course, just perfect on a hot or cold day! I also would recommend a black forest ice blend! mmmmm!

    (5)
  • Vivian W.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is usually my third choice among the "big 3" coffee chain stores. I come to this coffeehouse when Starbucks is too crowded. Coffee Bean excels in their cold drinks. Their iced blends are flavorful if not a tad too powdery at times. The Black Forest Iced Blend was overwhelming way too sweet. I can hardly polish it off but I like their sugar-free selections. Their hot drinks miss the mark not only at this store but other Coffee Beans. Even their daily coffee tasted more like hot water than coffee.

    (2)
  • Miss P.

Wow! I'm in the area for business and everyone I've met told me that I had to check this place out. (I need my caffeine). Sold! Great bold flavor. And, the red velvet cupcake...now that's how it should taste like. I'll be coming here every day for my caffeine fix.

    (5)
  • Helmut B.

Great coffee, Great baked goods (served on actual plates with actual silverware) and friendly staff make this a pleasant start to ones morning. The other chain could only wish they were this good. I love you CBTL of Burbank....I do...

    (4)
  • Maggie A.

The staff isn't really friendly. I've been here 3 or 4 times. It's consistent. Not sure what the issue is, but I don't like it. I think today was the last time I'll go. And I'm irritated with there only being one nice, comfy chair there. It discourages staying and ordering more. What's good, though, is their coconut cake. It's what draws me back. (But there's gotta be another place to get yummy coconut cake.) Not keen on the joint.

    (2)
  • Sara C.

Stopped in here to re-caffinate the boy. He appreciated the fact that they filled his cup of black coffee up to the brim of the cup. We also bought a piece of cheesecake and sat for a (few) minutes to consume it. Quiet and uncrowded.

    (3)
  • Benjie S.

I'm up in this bitch almost twice a week. It's just a regular coffee bean set up with great service. The people are friendly and they know the regulars so it's nice to go in. I have an addiction to the iced coffee and the hazelnut or chocolate flavors. That's all I really need but the iced coffee black is always reliable. My choice over the starbucks on the other end of the block. Nothing against that place but for some reason it's always hot in there, like the a/c doesn't work. Seriously that shit makes you all sweaty, those mother fuckers need to get on that.

Got me though Friday, man was I beat. Order me a triple Sugar Free no foam vanilla late. Taking about good. Loving on The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

  • Kathleen T.

Out of all the cafe chains, I just adore Coffee Bean! And this location is by far the best of them all, so far. I don't live near Burbank, so I've only been here about 10 times. And every time, the service has brought a smile to my face. There's one guy who is so cool that he should look into being a host. He's definitely a people person! Great energy and yummy drinks.

Since I just moved to this area from Simi Valley, this will probably be my new spot to hang out, and read my newspapers, and magazines, and surf the internet, while drinking my favorite Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf beverage, which would be their Vanilla Ceylon Ice Tea. It's in a great spot, in the Media Center, right across the street from the mall. My only complaint about the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, is that they close earlier than Starbucks, usually about 1-2 hours, both during the week, and on the weekends. This one also closes earlier than the Starbucks down the street. That's a shame, because I like Coffee Bean more than Starbucks. I was wrong. This place is actually open later than i thought. They're open until 11:00 Sunday-Thursday, and midnight on Fridays, and Saturdays, which is actually later than the Starbucks in Burbank near me(I'm not sure about the Starbucks down the street from this Coffee Bean though). So, this Coffee Bean now gets 5 stars from me.

I love coming here for the friendly service where people know your name. Wonderful managment and employees.

  • Kaz K.

This one is normal. Parking is seriously a hassle though - 90 minute limit on the street, and it's on the hard to find. Unless you park in the parking lot. There's only one big table here, and it's the handicap one outside.

    (3)
  • Sandra G.

so nicely decorated inside and the staff is very friendly EXCEPT for this one time i had some guy who took my order and i dont remember his name and i dont mean to say this in any way for anyone to get offended but it was some ginger boy who was extremely disrespectful. as he was taking my order he was starring at my mother non stop giving her the death look and when my mother payed he literally took the money out of her hand in the most rude way possible. then when he gave her her change he literally threw it on her hand and the change fell. i regret not asking for the supervisor. I will never forget how he looked at my mom like she was some homeless lady walking in. i believe it was because she was obviously Latina. People like him really disappoint me in todays society. I love coming here for coffee. but because of him i will NEVER come back again.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf needs to remove the "Tea Leaf" from its name because this is bad tea. I really did expect more from them than from Starbucks since Starbucks does not masquerade as a tea shop as well as a coffee shop, but honestly, I would rather go there for tea than come here. The whole leaf tea is so old it's gone bitter & bad and then they put it in bags! If you're going to drink bagged tea, you have to snip it small, else it can't steep that well. And the bags they use are these giant ones that fold over the edge of your cup, which means you've got a nastly wet piece of cloth right where you want to grab it. Let's leave it at the Coffee Bean and have done with it.

friendly staff and the drinks are well-made. every time i've been there, my friend has brought her pup along. the most recent time, one of the workers even anticipated our need for a water bowl for him. that's called service! (:

Do you or someone you know remember those really creepy drama club kids that wore all black and velvet and maybe even trench coats in the Summertime? The ones who spouted off about thee and thou and most likely carried 12 sided dice in their pockets and could quote every play in a D&D game? No? Well I do and I thought after being out of high school for about 100 years now that I would be safe from running into them again, but guess what? They are all alive and kicking and hanging out at this very Coffee Bean!!! At first I thought this was a one off. I mean what are the odds that a 818 convention of drama dorks actually hangs out here on a regular basis? Slim to none I thought, but alas it is a daily thing or at least an every other daily thing. So if you are missing your Shakespeariment Rhino roots and need a fix, then swing by here during the afternoon and have at it. I...however will be going elsewhere as I left my trench coat back in high school where it belongs.

I choose coffee bean over starbucks. This coffee bean is clean and the employees are very nice. Not to mention that they actually have a clean bathroom.

Went to this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf after watching Ratatouille at the AMC Theatre nearby. The staff was very friendly and the Soy Latte that I ordered was strong. When I go to Starbucks, I have to order an extra shot for my large Soy Latte. The Soy Latte at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is stronger than the Starbucks with the extra shot. The location is great which helps immensely with the environment. There wasn't that many seating available and one of the annoyances was that they had seating in front of the door; so I had to literally squeeze between two people just to get inside.

I tend to just go to this coffee house for the free Internet when I want to get out of the house. Its located in downtown Burbank next to the mall. Its a good location and has a little area out front with tables and chairs. I don't really like any of their drinks cause they use powder and not syrups. I prefer Starbucks which is also less expensive (crazy I know...but true plus the Internet is free here!) I usually just get iced tea or a regular coffee here and maybe a hot chocolate - that was the only drink made with powder I liked. The employees are really loud and seem to lack good customer service skills. Not super friendly. If you're like me and just want a simple coffee and free Internet - go there

It's a COFFEE BEAN AND TEA LEAF - what difference is there an any of them other than the minimum wage paid staff? NO DIFFERENCE what so ever. So this one... all and the same. Do they have YERBA MATE? NO!!!! Do they make the best Hot Tea Latte' in town, NO!!!! Is the coffee good, YES. Okay, it's a coffee shop, is it special, no!!! It's a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and it's located in Burbank, it gets the job done. Go there when you need your coffee fix, or tea fix unless you want yerba mate, then they don't have it and your screwed.

I heart Coffee Bean, but man, I hate this one. There's something wrong with the employee training at this location. The drinks here are never as flavored or strong as any of the other Coffee Bean locations. The baristas here (baristi?) don't seem to understand the lingo of coffee really well (even though I am far from an expert myself). When I ask them for a redo, they only give me a fresher cup of equally mild cup o' joe. Forget that. I'd rather make my own instant coffee at home.
