I have not been here myself but I hear the food is decent. My wife and two of my kids went in for breakfast and she said the waiter was nice and did a good job but when she went to pay the guy taking the money started filrting with her telling her she is beautiful and he loved her! She wears a wedding ring and the guy apparently didn't notice or didn't care. Either way it was very inappropriate. My son was in shock at what he was hearing this complete stranger say to his mother. I called and spoke with the manager and he said he would speak to the owner but I don't see myself going to this place.

Very friendly service. Good comfort food. Went in for lunch and I had the Reuben and it was excellent. Easy access from I-80 and much, much better than the fast food nearby.

You know the food must be good when the establishment is as difficult to find/get to as this place is, but still obscenely well-attended. Neatly situated right smack dab between two highway exits and only accessible via the service road, this Breakfast Heaven had a 30-minute wait for four that was actually more like 20 minutes. The eggs came out fabulous, pancakes sweet and buttery, hash browns fried to perfection. The service was snappy and the waitress happy. People love working here. They love their employers and they love their customers.

We had a golf tournament in Auburn and we needed a place that was open at 6 in the morning. This place had good reviews so we decided to try it out. Ok I know you should always start with the good but about the only thing I would criticize this place for are the prices. They were about a dollar or two higher than what I would have expected per meal. The omelets seemed to run about $10. Ok the service was great and if you get there before 7am the coffee is only $ .10 so that will just about make up for the prices. They give you way too much food and it was excellent. They had absolutely no problems changing up orders and adding things like salsa and gravy. I think we had 7 people and everyone seemed to really like their food, but I don't think anyone actually finished their meal. I would give 5 stars for the meal and service and three because of the prices. I could not eat like that all the time but for a special occasion it seems to be a great place to stop in.

Great place for an enjoyable brunch on the way down from Tahoe. Food is solid - not spectacular but good all around. Fantastic service - the staff makes you feel good about being there and the place has a nice homey vibe. Two minutes off the highway- sweet.

My kids and I stopped here on our way back from Squaw one weekend. SO HAPPY I didn't stop at the Denny's or other places along the way. This place is a FIND. Great food, attentive service, and lots of choices for the kids (and me). Can't wait to get in here again - and my sons still talk about the place several months later.

I love this place. I make an effort to stop here for breakfast anytime I am passing through. The oatmeal raisin pancakes are outrageous. And the ohmlets are also excellent. The guy that pours the coffee in a 3 foot stream is fun to watch. Love this place.

If we go out for breakfast, we usually end up at sweet peas. They have good service, aren't over crowded and have good breakfast. I love their country potatoes.

This place could definitely be four stars, but for some reason I always order something and then end up not wanting it by the time is comes around to my table. I feel like they have a lot of choices, and at the same time, they don't. It's for sure a breakfast/brunch joint. I've gotten lunch there before, but the breakfast is what they're best at. The service is always quick and friendly. It really is a good place. I always go there with my parents, never on my own. You should check it out. When I think Auburn and breakfast, I have the think of Sweetpeas. Unless you're into Denny's, which I'm usually not. Like a good comedian said, Denny's serves two groups: the totally exhausted and the totally wasted. So in my case, Sweatpeas is a better choice (and it's just up Bowman Road, not far from Denny's at all).

This place is a great for families. Everyone is over the top friendly and the menu is extensive! you get a ton of food and the prices are very fair. Located right off hwy 80 @ bowmen

It was ok. My son loved the pastrami sandwich, but there were no fries for my hamburger and the bacon was old tasting. I think that it is really a breakfast place, not a lunch place.

Went here for breakfast after church. We were able to get right in without any waiting. Good selection of items on the menu - make sure to try a side of the mushroom sauce.

A friend told us we should check this cafe out the next time we're in Auburn. Coming home from Sacramento today we hadn't had breakfast. There was Sweetpeas just off the I80. Let's check it out. What a treat. Service. Food. Awesome. It's a cafe. Not fancy. Family owned and ran with pride. The fellow busing tables hustled like he really cared. He had a table for us cleared in a flash. He asked if we wanted coffee and had cups on the table in an instant along with our menus. Next came the gentleman with the coffee pot. He picked up each cup, flipped it in the air, caught it about 2 feet from the floor, held the coffee pot up near his head, and poured the coffee perfectly into the cup without spilling a drop. Bravo! The waitress appeared as we finished deciding what we wanted. My wife asked her about the pictures on the wall above our table. The waitress, Sarah, sat down at our table and explained how this is a family run business. She pointed out who the people were in the photos and the family members, including herself, who were working in the restaurant today. Next came our food. We love chicken fried steak and have had it at restaurants and cafes all over the country. My wife and I agreed that this was the best chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy we've ever had. If you don't like chicken fried steak there's plenty of other items to choose from on the menu - probably one of the largest selection of omelets we've seen.

We stopped here this morning on our way back from Reno for Sunday brunch, drawn in by the sign from the highway and it was awesome! A large selection, great service and the place is decorated like Grandma's place with a little patriotism, ode to families and a wall of mugs thrown in. I really liked my meal of Popeye's Omelette with salsa (definitely homemade with a kick - would recommend the Mexi-Cali specials here), homefries and raisin bread and was having real trouble finishing the plate, because all it was delicious, the portions were really large. Definitely worth a try...

If you're lucky you'll get one out of two possible hottest waitresses in the world here. Enough said.

My daughter likes to come here for breakfasts. Its OK, nothing to write home about. I'm more fond of the Sierra Grill (across the freeway).

Sweetpea's is a great family owned business! Great food and excellent service. I love the biscuits and gravy, the meatloaf sandwich, and the scrambles mmmmm!

  • Brittany A.

I really liked the food, the atmosphere, and the service! However, I did not like the prices for the children's food. My 3 year old had one Mickey Mouse pancake, a small side of fruit and a small cup of apple juice. It was $7!!! I don't mind paying more money for my food, but I just don't think a children's meal should cost that much.

We've been eating this food since we found it in Colfax. She moved, we followed. Now it's closer to our home down in the valley. I always, except once, get the oatmeal-raisin hotcakes. Delicious, worth the trip. The one time I got something else, they had corned beef on the board & I had to try it. It was the best I have ever had for breakfast. Eggs on top of pulled corned beef, on top of home-fried potatoes. Not hash like you know it. Always good service. Always clean. And, as mentioned above, they like their jobs & their customers. Attitudes are great.

On the way back from camping, we pulled over to get lunch, the place was cute and homely, a lot of people inside, the staff were very friendly and the service was very good. He did the special pour on my coffee, he's been practicing. Our waitress introduced herself with a unique name, but for the life of me I can't remember it. There was a slight wait for our food, but the place was crowded so I was expecting that. I got the trucker special, came with biscuit and gravy, everything was pretty good, I got my fill of food and coffee. I was a happy man. We'll try to come again on the next trip.

I don't get why everyone is raving about this place. The food is mediocre and the place screams trailer park. Not good, Auburn. Not good.

  • Jason L.

Our family goes here all the time for holiday and birthday breakfasts and we have always been pleased with the service and the food. It isn't a place for a nice quiet breakfast, but that is part of why we like it.

    (4)
  • Stacey G.

I had the eggs Benedict with half country potatoes and half fruit, yum! A country style place with funny trinkets on the walls. Very Auburn place!

  • Reid T.

Good place to stop on the way up to or coming back from the mountains. Staff is friendly and flexible. Food is delicious. I suggest any of the 20+ omelettes. For a place that is so popular they are extremely down to earth. If you go on the weekend mornings expect a wait.

  • Joel C.

Great place, great, friendly people working there, great environment, and wonderful omelets and hashbrowns!

    (5)
  • Kevin B.

Great breakfast. They have become very expensive recently, though. Breakfast now costs about as much as a decent dinner so we don't go as often as we used to.

  • Aaron A.

Our waiter was excellent. Clearly he liked being there and was happy to make friends and recommend/serve excellent food. He is what made this a four star experience. The food tasted very good with large (not giant) portion sizes. The service was quick, coffee was quickly refilled, just an all around great experience. The atmosphere and decoration in this restaurant is pretty sweet. It may seem small, but they served us additional water to pour into our glasses. The only reason I can't give this a 5 star rating is that the price vs. food quality and quantity wasn't amazing. A basic 3 egg omelet with ham and another topping, hashbrown and toast was $12. If the prices were lower, I'd love and eat here more (like $7-10 for the above item).

    (4)
  • Steve B.

Wow, great breakfast and good service, despite hungry crowd waiting to get in! The huge oatmeal/ raisin pancake will fill you up for the entire day.. and thats just one: who can finish two of those?! Yum Yum!!

  • Nay B.

This place is super cute, it has a family feel. The food is yummy and the staff is friendly. There's one guy who works here (forget his name) he's super funny, he will make you laugh. I've had some good omelettes and sandwiches here. The ruben sandwich is pretty good. You can relax here, be casual/comfy and have good food.

I'm giving this long standing spot great marks for service, the two fellows working were very easy going, humorous and good natured, you could tell they've been in the food service business for some time. We were checked on multiple times and felt cared for in our brief visit, I hadn't been in there for a decade. As for the food...we both ordered biscuits and gravy, hers solo and mine with hashbrowns and eggs. Biscuits and gravy is my personal standard first order at a joint. Hashbrowns were great, crisp on both sides, eggs were cooked correctly, biscuits and gravy...the portions were large but there just wasn't a lot going on. Biscuits were under baked a few minutes, albeit nice and certainly housemade, and the gravy was lackluster, not terrible by any means but very timid and under seasoned, it was obvious the sausage was added after a simple cream gravy was made, it was just extraordinarily mild and lacked the richness of a proper sausage cream gravy. Prices were on the high side for what it is, but the portions were nice. We'll give it another try down the road.

  • Karyn S.

Great food, excellent service. Everyone was very friendly. The place was immaculately clean. Not a speck of dust anywhere. We we're probably the dirtiest things in there since we'd just come back from camping. Definitely will stop again to explore the menu. :-) The omelets are the best I've ever had.

  • Daniel F.

The service and staff are very friendly here! The food was good but not great. The omelette is where this place really shines. Great chorizo and the hash browns were very crisp which I love! Overall a decent meal with good service but as always with a place like this... I wish they had real maple syrup.

  • Paula W.

Good little breakfast place. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the fruit bowl. The fruit was a good variety and tasted great! I split it with my husband, who ordered a red chili omelette. Coming from Arizona, we thought red chili was chunks of beef in a red sauce, but it came with chili beans! Not what we thought but I guess that was our fault. It would have been nice to have that one word "beans" in the description. We thought the service was a bit slow, since it wasn't very crowded. We would probably go back, but ask more questions about what we order.

My wife, Connie, and I have been coming to Sweetpeas since shortly after the Big Bang. What Great Food and Great Service. Lady Di and Ron run one fantastic restaurant business here. THEY GOT FOOD DOWN!!! For starters, have Tony or Rolando demonstrate their airborne coffee cup, followed by the coffee waterfall! A little entertainment to whet your appetite! The wait staff come equipped with humor and attentiveness. Bring a friend if you order a full omelette (they have an extensive selection). If you're going to order their famous Oatmeal Raisin pancake, order the Mini 14 (1), or bring along the 49th Division -- IF you try to eat the stack by your lonesome, you have only yourself to blame for walkin' like a stuffed turkey. The oatmeal and 9 grain hot cereals are great, also. Also on the menu, waffles, french toast & aircraft carrier sized cinnamon rolls. It's enough to make your trainer apoplectic! Gastronomes just keep comin' back here. Specifics on extended survey: There is room to park bikes out front, but no bike racks. Reservations?: 6 or more. Tom Elmore Meadow Vista

this is a great little place. the people who work here are amazing they have great personalities and really care that you love your experience. i have been here a couple of times and each time the food has been very good for what it is. they server break fast and lunch. they dont have a fryer so they dont serve french fries but i guess that is okay bc they make thier own potato, macraroni and some other sort of salad i forget about. their food is fresh and that is always a plus.

We stopped here on our way home from Sparks today. WHAT A TREAT! It's Nana's house with better food. Nana wasn't much of a cook, but the guys at Sweatpea's clearly know their way around the kitchen. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like one of the family. ALL of the other customers there were obviously regulars, but the staff made a point of treating each table as important guests. The servers are very friendly and accommodating and the food is even better. We've already picked out what we'll be having on our next visit. Don't miss this one!

We ate breakfast here on a Friday morning, before driving east to Reno. The service was friendly, polite, and very accomodating to our requests. The menu is large, with a looong list of unique omelettes. I ordered a Denver omelette with hash browns, sour cream, side of bacon, and tomato juice. The serving size was large, with lots of veggies and ham inside a fluffy yellow scrambled egg layer. The side of bacon was 4 strips, cooked perfectly (probably baked in the oven instead of cooked on the griddle ). The hash browns were also just right, with a crispy outer layer, and a soft inner layer, and I covered them with cool sour cream and cholula hot sauce. The decor was like being at grandma's house in the country, with antique photos and milk delivery signs on the wall. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because we eat paleo, an there werent any special accommodations in the menu. Would eat there again!

After being on the road for nearly 2 weeks Sweetpeas was the first good meal we had. We were greeted like we were old friends. When we told our server this was our first time here he said "Welcome home" and shook our hands. My BF is always looking for freshly made chicken fried steak with gravy, and Sweetpeas did not disappoint. It was so good that he ate the entire serving. I got a vegetarian omelet. The vegies were abundant and fresh. There was cream cheese in the omelet, and I have to say, it was a great combination! We can't wait to go back! Finally, a really good meal.

We were in town for a conference and went here for breakfast. It was so good that we went back for lunch and breakfast the next day. The food was excellent. There is a huge variety on the menu and the staff was amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough!

  • Lora S.

This is our 3rd or 4th visit here. I love this cute little place. The food is good, the shakes are great but the best part for us is watching Tony and Orlando work . They are friendly and funny. We don't drink coffee but love watching Tony flip the cups and pour the coffee or shoot the straw into your shake. It reminds me of a restaurant I once owned. A place where you get people that are happy with their jobs. I'll even give them my recipe for buttermilk pancakes made from scratch.

The food is amazing! Love the family feel! They have the best Corn Beef and Hash around, its so fresh! If you haven't been yet you have to go! Staff is friendly and service is outstanding!

The front desk person at our hotel recommended this cafe. The place is clean, all the tables not being used were bussed and reset. We went in the late morning, before lunch rush. We chose a table and waited. And waited. A server brought a coffee pot around, but we opted for water which was delivered quickly. And we waited. Started looking on our phones for another option as we watched the two servers talk with other customers, one sitting at a table with obviously regular guests for several minutes. A young man came to take our menus and we told him we had not ordered yet. More waiting. People that came in after us received food and we still had not ordered. We were about to leave when a server came to take our order. I tried the cinnamon roll French toast. The bread was really dense, dark and did not really have much of a connamon roll falvor. When I think cinnamon roll, I think toward light, sweet cinnamon roll flavor that I was expecting. Hubby had the corned beef hash, which is unlike anything he, a corned beef has aficienado, has ever had. The meat was pulled rather than being chopped in small pieces, nice flavor, served with some fresh fruit. We waited for a check, which we did not receive, finally went to the host station and paid. We did something that is almost unheard of for us, we did not leave a tip. We would not make it a point to go back.

My parents love this place and stop here to eat every time they pass through Auburn. The customer service, happy & entertaining mood/atmosphere deserve 5-stars all on it's own. They are very attentive - my drink never runs dry... watching them poor coffee is fun, and watch out when you ask for a straw! The broad menu guarantees you'll find something that temps your taste buds. Great meals, fair price, and I just love that they add fresh fruit to your meal... not a mucked up old fruit salad, but fresh sliced pineapples, apples, a little bunch of grapes, etc - YUM!

  • Laurel W.

If you need hangover food this is the place to go. I got the tuna melt after a rough night out and it was delicious: juicy, cheesy, with just the right amount of relish. The side salad was really good too (mostly leaf lettuce instead of iceberg) and the ranch dressing was also great. I don't really do dressing, but I have to find out what they use.

Sweet Pea's has the most outgoing staff of any brunch place I've ever been to: they love to talk. There are a dozen or so awesome omelets to try. I had crab cakes Benedict and it was delicious!

Never had a bad meal here. I love the employees, they are always smiling and prompt. Huge portions, consistent food, crazy number of choices, and REALLY good pancakes. Every time I go, I wonder why I don't go more often.

This place has been a local family treat for several years. It is often busy and full when we find ourselves there on the weekend, but the food is always exceptional. This is a fast moving restaurant, but will a strong sense of family as well. Excellent food, fair prices, and good service. With its easy location right off the freeway, it would highly recommend it to anyone headed out to Tahoe or Reno for a good meal. You won't be sorry.

Wow! I stopped by with a group on a Sunday morning on the way up to Reno. Even thou it was a busy Sunday morning, they quickly and happily took care of our group of ten. The service was quick, efficient and friendly. The food, in particular their omelets, are great with a large selection of different fillings. The portions are very satisfying and the overall experience was GREAT. I stopped again a week later on the way home from Reno with another large group and the experience was equally good. My only regret is that I don't live closer to Auburn so I can stop by more often.

Sweet peas is a great restaurant to hit on the way up highway 80 towards Reno. The staff is friendly, welcoming and enjoyable while serving very good food to hit your sweet spot. Breakfast is particularly good with chicken fried steak as my favorite dish. 30 or so sandwiches for you non-breakfast eating freaks.

Always a go to for breakfast! I'm a fan of the omelettes, my husband prefers the biscuits and gravy, and my son a waffle! Always friendly service!

  • Kyle B.

The food was good and the service was excellent, but I will never eat here again. The prices are WAY too steep and the portions are WAY too small. I feel like I got ripped off. If I wanted small portions at high prices I would go to a high-class restaurant, not a breakfast joint.

5 stars all the way. Been coming here for years. Never had a bad meal. Awesome family atmosphere, great service.

  • D M.

It's OK. I would have given it 4 stars if it was 10% cheaper compared to others I went to like 4 Sisters or Granites in Rocklin. Besides, our waitress screwed up our orders and mixed them all up. The kids mac and cheese is like those Kraft microwables. Unacceptable.

  • James G.

This was not a good breakfast. The biscuits and gravy had an onion taste to them, but a fake onion taste, like powdered onions. They burned my bacon. The receipt and menu said Cheerios but they were generic toasted-o's or something. My son wouldn't eat them. The waitress had a bad attitude the whole time; she seemed annoyed to help us. And then everyone's receipts had additional items or mixed up items. We had asked for three receipts from the beginning but this seemed to bother her. I've actually been helped by this waitress somewhere else before and sort of remember her always having a grumpy attitude.

  • Jeptha L.

The reviews for Sweetpea are great; the food is not. The menu is pretty big, but also limited, traditional, and uninventive. The huevos rancheros were inedible due to how over fried the tortillas were and the salsa tastes like pace. The gravy is a very sweet gravy which makes it hard to eat either the biscuits and gravy or the chicken fried steak. And to top it off, the bussers are extremely unsettling, calling customers pet names. In addition to this the busses serve coffee without the customers asking for it, our waitress said it happens often and she sees it on the table and charges people for it, even if they don't want it or touch it. Overall it was Denny's quality for twice the price.

As my third time coming here when visiting my mother in Auburn I still fall short on a great experience. There is one waiter who is always smiling and he is very energetic which adds to the time being there. But as for the food I cannot say I'm impressed. I tried the breakfast burrito. To start it was soggy which ruins anything and was not appeasing to the taste. No one even came back to check on us. More like a bill was placed and they just walked away. I taken maybe three bites and put it on the other side of the table as I couldn't eat it. I'm sure others have had great times there but as more me I have no found that once. I am a huge person for customer service as I used to be management for many years. I paid my bill and left and I do not see myself coming there again.

What an omelette! Sweetpeas was very close to my hotel when I was visiting Auburn so I decided to check them out on my first day. They're located in a small shopping center, very close to interstate 80. The dining room is spacious, comfortable and very clean. There aren't any booths or a breakfast counter, but there are plenty of tables to choose from. The walls are covered with framed black and white photographs, little pieces of gold rush history & family documents. It was 6:15 AM, and they just opened their doors. The dining room was almost empty. I went in with my camera and notebook, hoping that this was a good place to start my project. I chose an isolated table in the corner, ordered my coffee and told the lady that I need a few minutes before I look at the menu. As soon as I started writing in my notebook, I was served with a mug filled with fresh coffee. I didn't get the famous acrobatic coffee performance, but my cup was refilled twice before I was even asked if I wanted to order food. This is something I really appreciated since I really preferred to have some time working on my project before I eat. I appreciate that I wasn't pressured into ordering as soon as I sat down, and wasn't bothered numerous times during the time I was having my coffee. Because of that, I was able to enjoy my coffee and savor the moment while getting some work done. I decided to have an omelette for breakfast. I'm usually not an omelette person, but everything looked so good in the menu, and I chose to order one of their most over-the-top omelettes of all times! I don't remember what it was called on the menu, but it was filled with ham, lots of bacon, avocado and cheese & it was huge! There were lots of ham cubes, with loads and loads of crispy bacon stuffed in a fluffy egg shell. The avocado was fresh, and not guacamole-ish! Just one mashed up fresh avocado with no seasoning. I loved that they didn't put any excess salt on the avocado, because everything was perfectly balanced with the saltiness of bacon. I ordered the roasted potatoes on the side and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My coffee was constantly refilled without even asking. The lady taking my order was very friendly, and made me feel like I'm at my friend's house and her grandmother is making me breakfast! Sweetpeas Has been serving breakfast in Auburn since 1985, and you can understand why the food is so delicious. This is a family owned business, and you can tell as soon as you enter the doors. The location is also very convenient, even if you're just passing by, and there is a lot of parking. Sweetpeas is definitely my first choice for breakfast in Auburn.

This is by far the best breakfast spot I have ever been to. Try the eggs benedict it is the best I have had anywhere. The service is incredible with the happiest and kindest people that have a love for this family owned buisness that shines through. This is a must try if you are looking for a great meal that is very affordable.

Great breakfast! We had Pablo omlette and huevos rancheros. Delicious and big portions.

Solid breakfast and lunch spot. Great people and good atmosphere. The cinnamon bun French toast was ridiculously good. It's a great local spot for good food. Some of the yelpers complain about the food.... it's not an uppity gourmet cafe; it's a family owned, one off breakfast stop with familiar breakfast grub.

Can't really comment on the food or service since we never got in. Had seen the "Early Bird Special" sign so after a drive in the rain, showed up at 6am as advertised. Lights on, smell of breakfst cooking, no sign of life on premises. Rapped on door. After 20 minutes, we left. I just called to determine actual opening time. I was handed off to a woman I suppose is the manager and was basically told this was our fault for not calling: the cook was there and would have let us in. No concern, no apology, just a brusk hang up. (Went to Dennys near by--excellent service, decent food. Try the ultimate scramble.)

Let's me just say that this places decor is a bit much, but that is all that is keeping it from 5 stars. The staff was great and very nice. Like being in a different state. The chicken fried steak was done right with 2 biscuits on top to boot. We also have amazing oatmeal raisin pancakes. Delicious. Would come again.

I love this place. Nothing fancy here, just good food. This place was packed when we arrived. We were still seated quickly. Our server was very good. Our coffee and water was never empty. Our food came quickly for how busy this place was. Everything was cooked correctly and how we ordered it. It was tasty and fresh. Overall this is a great place for breakfast! I will be coming here again...

This is about as solid as it can get for a breakfast place. The place was jumpin but we were sat quickly and drink orders were immediate. The coffee refills were frequent without having to ask. All the breakfast staples were there and I went omelette. The omelette's are 3 egg beasts and mine was perfectly cooked. I ordered the "Cabo Ron " which came with chorizo, avocado, onion and peppers and cheddar cheese. Holy cow this omelette was more chorizo than anything else. Just loaded!! The hasbrowns were perfectly done with a little crunch on top. The service was great. The meal ended with us trying to figure the check and without us asking the server brought another check split out. That is next level! See you soon Sweetpea's.

Who is giving this place 4 stars? The food is ok at best but certainly not for the prices they are charging. My main complaint is the waitress. She is not dressed for her job and what she had on today was dirty. Chewing gum she took my order with one hand on her hip, is she related to management? Her attitude towards me and other customers is basically I could care less. I am 65 and I can truly say I will never return to this place.

Our waiter was awesome... He clearly had a lot more coffee than I did! Tons of energy- was great with my son (entertaining) and was exactly the kind of waiter you'd want- never said "no" for odd requests. He was what stood out with that place. I ordered a waffle, eggs and sausage. The waffle, while not a huge, huge Belgian, was pretty damn awesome. I don't know what recipe they use, but this was not just-add-water mix. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy... Her mouth was watering just looking at it and she told me her saliva glands and taste buds agreed that the food was bomb dot com. Look- this is your normal breakfast place. No frills or fancy... Just good food and great customer service. That is what I love about it. I could make a decent waffle at home and brew up my own coffee- what I want is a good experience, great service, tasty food and timely food as well... This place met all my needs. While it is a hike from me, I'll definitely return.

On our way back from a Tahoe weekend, we stopped for breakfast. The food was delicious, plentiful, and obviously very fresh. And the service was awesome. Our server, Rolando, was delightfully attentive. We're talking about driving up just for breakfast.

My wife saw Sweetpeas on Yelp while we we're passing through Auburn. Since I was sleeping and couldn't say no, we stopped in for a late breakfast. Because it was both a weekday and later in the morning, we were attended to and seated right away. I didn't have too much time to case the place since our server was prompt with drinks and telling us about the menu / specials of the day. After ordering both drinks and food, I did manage to take a quick look around and snap a few pictures. I could start right here telling you how great my food was or, how quaint Sweetpeas is and how awesome the servers are but, reviews about all that have been beat to death. My food was delicious and Sweetpeas reminded me of some of the places I enjoy eating at back home in Ohio. My only gripe would be the restrooms. Both the Men's and Women's are one in and one out only.

Thanks Yelp! I rarely stop for breakfast on way to Tahoe, but we decided to this time and came here based on reviews...and agree. Pretty much an option for anyone, perfectly cooked egg and hash browns, and portion size great. Our server was also busboy and cashier and man did he hustle and provide excellent service with a smile
