Actually a really cool place to go, it's not too big, it's got a pizza joint atmosphere. The group I was with were looking for a cold beer and pizza/salad place. This didn't disappoint. They were having $1 beers that night, so that was a great way to end a long hot day. There were 3 salads ordered from our table and they were not only delicious but huge! The salads are bigger than you think, which is great if you are hungry. I ordered a large Caesar salad, and the gal said it served 5 people - I went for it anyways. And it was huge, but I polished it off anyways, it probably could have served 3 hungry people, or 1 of me. 1 of my coworkers ordered a calzone and said it was mediocre at best. But all in all, a great low key place to come and eat, cheap good beer, and good food.

The bread sticks are SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!! It's probably just a stick of butter disgusted as a bread stick, but I don't care because it's SO delicious! I've had a variety of different pastas and sandwiches and nothing has disappointed me yet. I don't even like Italian food that much but I'm a fan of this place! Yum!

My boys are all about the breadsticks. Nothing like those little flimsy greasy ones you get at Little Caesars but they are thick, doughy and just right. You can choose one of three sauces for dipping. DELICIOUS. Chicken Caesar Salad was good too with crisp lettuce and good dressing. Pizza is great but if you don't like meat make sure you tell them you are vegetarian b/c sometimes (it does happen a lot) they have allowed the sauces to mix and my kids won't touch it if there is some meat in the sauce. Just saying for those of you that watch what goes into your mouth. They pizza is very good and never the same twice which tells you they are all hand made as you order. Have ordered for delivery from the foothills location and they are dependable.

This a staple of good pizza in Yuma. I like the Downtown location. It's a nice if you are Saturday day drinking or with the family. The chicken parm was juicy and on a bed of spaghetti. Nothing magical but solid. The service was great with Jon our server.

A few of my coworkers had been here before and liked it so we came here as a group on their suggestion. I wasn't feeling too hungry that night so I decided to stick with some lighter foods. For an appetizer I ordered the Bruschetta. It was okay tasting but the tomatoes did not feel fresh at all. For dinner I had the "small" antipasto salad. I never got a chance to see what a large salad looked like but based on the size of the small I'm assuming the large came in a bathtub. It was more than enough food, but again, it wasn't very impressive flavor-wise. The salami looked more like a slice of baloney and everything in it just looked and tasted cheap. I would be willing to try this place again if my coworkers want to go back, which they likely will. I've heard that their pizzas and pastas are good, and I've heard good things about their chicken parm. I'll likely go with something like that on my next visit since that is what they specialize in. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, so no other complaints.

This is my once a year special meal place. Delicious and doesn't disappoint!

Heard about this place from a friend and being the pizza guy I am I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. Got the classic pie and along with a pint of Stone IPA I was very impressed. Loved the location and great service. Pizza was very good hand tossed pie with nice toppings. The sausage had a little kick to it and it really adds to the flavor. Next time I'm in Yuma I'll be back!

Had the Lasagna & small Greek salad and it was all delicious! Beer selection is huge. Service was excellent.

I was the first customer of the day, which can be disastrous when eating at a pizza place. A good sign was that I saw the staff outside setting up an hour prior to opening. The pizza was absolutely delicious. The service was splendid and the pizza arrived in less than 10 mins. I'll be sure to return on my next trip to Yuma!

I really like the concept of this place. They have some tables in the center and some private tables surrounding them, those private tables can be as large as to accommodate like 15 people if not more. There are also some tables on the outside. OK, Da 5 cheese pizza is supperb! The crust is a little thick, and the bottom of the pizza is super greasy, but it's definitely worth it! It's made with Alfredo sauce and the combination of cheeses really let's you taste different flavors in every bite.

Best pizza I've had in a while. We got the 20ish dollar family deal that came with a large pizza, 2 speghetti dishes and a big bowl of salad. Seriously so good and so much food. We had a group of 4 hungry adults and 2 teenagers and we took home leftovers. Everything was so great and the dessert? Omg. Amazing. I had the cherry Garcia cheesecake but I also had bites of the carrot cake and lemon drop cheese cake. All were absolutely delicious. They had a full bar too. Also had great customer service. Our waitress was so energetic and friendly. Was right on top of everything with bringing out food and refilling our drinks. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Absolutely great.

I agree with Jessica D.'s review. If you've ever had good Italian food, which this place claims to have, you will know that the smell alone when you walk in here is not that of a good or legit Italian spot. Where is the garlic??? Of course I'm a bit biased since I've had some of the best Italian NYC has to offer, but it's not all that hard to whip up some good pasta, make good sauce and know your formaggio! The pizza here is mediocre and not what I expected after all these positive Yelpers! Service was good but the food? I'll pass. I give 3 stars for the ambiance, outdoor seating and the fact that they allow patrons with dogs to sit outside. Just watch out for the bees...

Put a stamps on it, a stamp of approval and yum! I was skeptical how eating in Yuma was gonna go for a 3 day work trip. Low and below Da Boys pulls off the hat trick off eats. Apps, pizza and dessert are killing it here! The breads sticks and meat are super great. Staff was so thoughtful, they asked prior to eating if I was vegetarian... How thoughtful! I politely declined and a asked to bring on greatness! This place doesn't disappoint, be sure to stop in and eat here!

3.5 stars in actuality. Very reasonably priced food. Great pizzas. Try to time it so you're there on a Wednesday night...bottles of wine are half price! I, personally, could taste the garlic, oregano and basil in every bite. Very fast service. There was nary a moment that we were waiting for the next course. The caprese salad was most notable...Delicious mozarella and thick, crisp beefsteak tomatoes. I love the fresh West Coast produce! How I've missed you. Everyone at my table raved about their entree. We will be back. Ambience overall was nice. But get rid of the cheesy Hollywood goombah cliches, please. Come on, Scarface?! It's a restaurant, not a rapper's crib. Attention Jeff P., Jessica J, and Jess D; wow! You guys have eaten Italian food in NYC. Bully for you! You are probably the only ones cultured enough to have sampled such exotic cuisine. Oh wait, it's like the largest city in the U.S. and almost everyone has been there, and eaten chow, at one time or another. It's so awesome eating super greasy overpriced food, after interacting with a cranky waiter who barely speaks English, all while crammed into a tiny space with dozens of others while smelling sewer. I remember standard New York dining well. Get over your pretentious selves!

Good food, nice atmosphere, service was on point....was in Yuma 2 nights ate dinner here both nights and lunch on the third day. Tell them you are sharing a dish and they will split it in to 2 plates for you which I thought was really cool.

Came here with my family to celebrate my husband's B-Day. We had a Buffalo chicken salad with ranch and a specialty pizza. EVERYTHING was great! Plus, great atmosphere ;-)

  • Rusty S.

Very Americanized Italian food. The pizzas looked absolutely delicious but we both got pasta dishes. My favorite thing about this place was that they let me basically create my own pasta when I added a lot of veggies. The food was not authentic but it was tasty. Portion sizes were great. Decent beer selection even though the server didn't seem to know much about what was on tap. Very friendly staff. I was worried when I moved to town that Olive Garden would be the only choice for Italian food but da boyz is here and it is SSOOOO much better.

    (4)
  • Jennifer M.

The pasta here is not good at all. I think I can cook it better (and I don't cook much). Pizza, however, is very tasty. I would come back just for pizza.

    (4)
  • Nell C.

In this sleepy town of Yuma, Arizona is a delicious Italian restaurant. Their portions sizes are generous and the service is great. I had their Antipasto Salad and Spaghetti with meat sauce. Dishes come with garlic bread.

Came here for dinner with my husband on a Saturday night. We shared a large pepperoni pizza and a chicken Alfredo pasta, both of which were delicious. Then had tiramisu for desert and it was divine! I liked the interior design, sort of urban cool look. The service was impeccable, both the hostess and our waiter were very attentive and accommodating. Looking forward to trying other flavorful things during our future visits here!

  • Michelle M.

Nice outdoor patio, specious interior, a little weird seating arrangements while inside. Service took a while as they had two big parties in the back and one guy taking care of the front. Full size Cesar Salad, perfectly seasoned and served in large bowl.. Chicken Parmesan was split, yes split! Huge portions.. The sauce was a little bland, and noodles a little undercooked. Also had beer from local brewery in Tempe, AZ.

Great place to have a large group of people meet and enjoy great food. The pizza dinner special is a great choice when taking the family out. The lasagna and meat ravioli is my favorite.

Family had an amazing experience. Great service and food!!! Definitely stopping here on way back from Cali in future. Spaghetti & Meatballs were the best.

Took my office staff out for lunch at Da Boyz today. We had a group of 12. Service and food were awesome!

  • Claire N.

We stopped at Da Boyz on the way through town with our kids. We went in between lunch and dinner so we were seated right away. They had coloring pages for the kids. They had options for everyone, including gluten free. The server was very friendly and attentive. The portions are large and could be shared but all of our kids ate a lot because the food was great. Also the restrooms were very clean. We will definitely go back!

  • Valerie V.

We ordered pizza, lasagna, wings, and salad. The pizza toppings were good, cheese separated from the crust, and it was too soggy and way too pricey. Lasagna was mediocre at best, wings tasted okay but were pretty small for the price. I asked for the salad to have dressing on the side and received a sopping plate. It would have been great otherwise as the ingredients were very crisp. Good service when taking your order but not much follow though during the meal. I have to say the service was surprisingly fast. All in all it was okay.

  • Lois M.

I've been craving good lasagna and not having an oven, knew I wouldn't be making it myself. Da Boyz is a great find here in Yuma - the sauce was delicious, the cheeses and meat were super tasty, but the blue ribbon goes to the most amazing garlic bread I've ever had in a restaurant. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something else. The pizza at the next table looks mighty scrumptious!

    (5)
  • Mary V.

The sauce!! I've been here twice, my husband and I love their pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni and pineapple with extra marinara sauce on the side and oh my gosh I love their sauce! I'm probably going to get some pasta next time I go. We went with a friend who drinks and he loves how they have $1 domestics. I don't pay attention to the day we go but the deal is there. I go to the one downtown and afterwards you could just walk around and enjoy the view. I recommend this place to anyone who goes to Yuma!

    (5)
  • Gary H.

The lasagne here may be the best I've ever had, including in Italy. It was a large portion with a lot of good cheese and sauce. The service was also fast and friendly.

  • Jessica D.

So we ordered from this place due to the positive reviews while we were stopping by overnight and I must say.....WTF? I guess people have not really had good italian food before. We ordered calzones and if I wanted a meat sauce for my calzone I would've either bought a jar of Ragu (yuck) or I would've ordered spaghetti. Um marinara sauce for calzone normally doesn't have meat in it. So gross. And it would have been a tastier calzone if they put just as much of the mozzarella cheese as they do the ricotta. Ricotta tastes terrible in the calzone. It's meant for the pastas thank you. I could tell all these reviewers waaaay better places to go if they want to taste GOOD italian food. The customer service is good! They are fast and get the order right. Our delivery guy was very sweet and helpful. But too bad the food is not as good as the service.

  • Ben B.

Pretty good food, huge portion sizes; be prepared to take some home. I had the garlic herb chicken on rigatoni pasta with Alfredo sauce. My wife had the chicken parmesan. We both took about half home with us to enjoy another day. Our only complaint about this restaurant is the temperature of the dining room. It was pretty warm. Yuma has perfected air conditioning and most restaurants are quite comfortable even at the height of summer.

Delicious spot. Came recommended by a local so we stopped in for Dinner. Polite and attentive staff with a nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back :-) had the server recommendation and wouldn't change the decision. Super yummy

I had to take a second before writing this review. My intention is not to offend anybody, but to be completely honest, if you haven't had an authentic, or plain good tasting italian meal yet, then that is just a result of not utilizing the resources that are available to you. If you honestly enjoy this meal, I highly question your taste bud functionality. I ordered chicken parm, and a "Greek" pizza, which is vegetable, with feta cheese. The chicken tasted like it was microwaved from a gas-station quick stop, and the pasta tasted like over cooked noodles with ketchup ( I'm not exaggerating). The pizza was so mediocre I could only indulge in one half of a slice! It was worse than hungry howies (another sad excuse for pizza). The people who said this was the best they have ever had, I feel must have never left yuma, or googled an italian recipe. If I sound like a jerkoff, it must be cause I'm still kinda pissed about losing 30 bucks . Go here if u want, everyone has different taste, I truly don't care, just figured I'd try to help the system(yelp).

Kind of like Olive Garden, but the atmosphere is better. I was dissapointed with the salad, it was big enough but I am not a fan of iceberg lettuce unless it is covered with bacon and bleu cheese.

Da Boyz is a real find. And in Yuma, Az. of all places. It's great if your going to Mexico for dental work and have to stay overnight. Portions are large. A small salad would serve two. We had the Greek salad, it was perfect. Fresh fat tomatoes, huge olives, red onions, cucumbers and a healthy chunk of feta. I could see many people were having pizza, but the taste is always in the sauce. So I tried the baked lasagna. Probably the best lasagna I've had in years. It is made from scratch, all kinds of cheese and the sauce is wonderful. Can't wait to go back for more. It is well priced, good location and the service is fast and professional.

Beautiful, quaint location in downtown Yuma. The inside was large and nice. We had Da Chicken Alfredo pizza and it was delicious. Very comfortable place.

"This place is awesome!" Are the words my 10 year old yelled out after eating her meal. We have great service, delicious food, and they put cherries in our Sierra Mist!! Bravo! We'll be back for our encore soon!!

  • Keneth M.

Sunday and Monday happy hour have $1 beers. So it's a great time to go. Lasagna is my favorite. The salad is to big for 2 people, then really need a smaller salad selection on the menu. Sometimes it's hard to find close parking downtown though. So be ready to walk.

  • Ross H.

Really good service from our server. Fast, accurate and friendly. The hostesses didn't seem like they were enjoying themselves. If I had one area to improve upon it would be a more friendly face when you walk in. Food was very good. Gluten-free options as well. You don't see that in many Italian restaurants! Best part? Drink special! $1 domestics, we will be here all night! Would come back again!

Fabulous pizza and service. Short wait times even on the weekends. Fast service and constant refills of drinks. Love you all! A must stop when in Yuma!

I really enjoy the food here. No doubt it's delicious. Unfortunately something is always wrong with my order. It never fails she we have pizza delivered they forget something or it isn't what we ordered. One time we ever saw the guy deliver our pizza pull our pizza and spaghetti out if the bed of his truck!!!! Management took care of it and brought us a new order since it was completely cold and the spaghetti was spilled. But we always ask for extra ranch and they forget it every time. Might not seem like a big deal but I has happened at least 4 different times. Finally today I ordered a pepperoni jalapeño and onion pizza a chicken Cesar salad and 2 extra ranch. We got the pizza and all it was was jalapeño. There was no Cesar dressing and 1 ranch. Like how hard is it to get that right?! I will no longer be ordering from here.

Tried the lasagna, manicotti, and baked pasta and all were good. Bruschetta was a perfect starter and got a large stein of Kilt Lifter for a good price. Service was very good. I am from out of town but can see this being a regular place for many in Yuma.

    (3)
  • Andrew T.

Their food is amazing. Their sauces are delicious. Their breadsticks always taste fresh. Their lasagna is my favorite of all foods.

    (5)
  • Ashley H.

If you're looking for real, fresh pizza in Yuma, Da Boyz is a go-to! Their pizza is warm, delicious, and totally customizable (even though it's not on the menu, you can ask for thin or thick crust). Their pasta dishes are really good too - especially the baked pasta. I could eat the meat sauce as soup. I prefer the one in the Foothills, but the one downtown is great too because it has a nicer atmosphere, but is still inexpensive!

  • Jesus C.

Great food and fast service. Food and drinks were out to us in a few minutes even thought it seemed to be very busy. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

Been here 35 minutes still no beer! Was just informed they cut my server. Great product , miserable service and even worse excuses!

  • Nancy R.

Great restaurant!! When I was going to college my boyfriend and I would go to the one in Foothills, occasionally. We loved it, but I live in Yuma, and I thought it was a little too far for me to drive all the way over there when I had no classes back then. I am incredibly happy now that they opened up this place, and I am amazed that the environment is completely different from the original. I love it! The restaurant even looks fancy, and better. They added more to the menu, but nothing regretful. I have tried their pepperoni pizza, the Hawaiian, and the "vegetarian" pizza, and all are great! I have also tried the Fettuccini Alfredo and the spaghetti, and they are great as well. Even the salad was delicious. From the drinks I usually order water, but the last time I went there I tried the Piña Colada, and it was surprisingly good. I have no negative feelings to share about this restaurant yet. So far, so good.

What a great experience! Come hungry!! If you leave here hungry it's your fault. Nice size portions. Clean atmosphere. We had a party of 22 and was served hot and fresh. Highly recommended!

  • Kelly J.

this is my home city so whenever I come and visit I make sure I stop at da boys and brag some pizza they are worth the semi pricy menu and I've had a lot of the irms in their menu and I've never come across anything that I didn't like or unsatisfactory

Amazing pizza and certainly fills you up, all the extra stuff they give you is great.

I had a party of 5 and we waited for 5-10 minutes before we were seated at an entrance table that had been ready and available since we got there. Not sure why we waited that long to be seated and there wasn't anyone else waiting when we got there. Server took our drink orders. A minute after that a second server comes to get our drink orders, I had to tell him we had already been helped. I guess that's a good thing in a sense because its better to be asked twice than to be kept waiting. However, need to get organized on who takes what tables to avoid this from happening. We asked for a family feast that we always ask for and we split the pizza into two different toppings. The server said that couldn't be done and when we said it had always been done she went to check. When she came back she said it was an extra $5 to do that. Food was good, everything was good. Got refills before drinks were done. When we asked for our check it took a good almost 10 minutes before we had to track someone down to check us out. Also, the server wasn't happy we split the check in 3 parts. We asked that she charge $24 on one card $24 on the other and the rest on a third card. We wanted to pay this way because it was two couples + 1. The server was very confused with our request. Not sure if she was new or what the deal was. In conclusion, very good food, facilities are very well kept, unfortunately service isn't that great.

  • Kimberly P.

Hostess was terrible, server was weak. It took my friend over half an hour to get his chicken sandwich. Most of the food was mediocre as is. Decent dessert though.

  • Harry C.

I always get a pizza or spaghetti and meatballs with the meat sauce. It's fantastic every time I go here. The food is great, the women servers are pretty and nice the guys servers are......uhh.........guys...........and the atmosphere is friendly. Occasionally, you have to deal with some of the homeless people who are out in front and coming in to get water, but they don't bother you. Everything is well priced and affordable.

  • Chelsea B.

My mother and I split Da Greek salad and the Gluten Free Spaghetti with Sausage and Meat Sauce. The salad was fine our only hold up was the spaghetti. Our waitress originally told us it was sliced sausage but when we received the food it was like a sausage pancake. On top of the big flat piece of sausage was the spaghetti sauce. You really had to work at cutting and mixing and even adding sauce from our appetizer to make the spaghetti sauce enough. The other downside was that it was lukewarm and all of the noodles were cut in half when served. I would not order the spaghetti again.

  • Murielle D.

This place is great. I love the decor, it's classy yet casual with an old world charm at the same time. The food is good, and the serving sizes are big, but that could be subjective so I'll let you decide that on your own. I do recommend it, they have a good variety of salads, pastas, and a great lunch menu. The only downside is that I called to reserve an area for a big party and they said you have to come and wait to be seated, you can't reserve the area so that was disappointing. Overall though, it's a great place.

I ordered the torpedo sandwich it was delicious, loved the bread My husband ordered the fettuccine and he said it was delicious

We had to wait 15 minutes for a table when the place wasn't even half full. When I inquired about all of the open tables to the overly made up hostess with an extreme attitude her excuse didn't make any sense as she swaggered away. Uuggh! Our waitress was the complete opposite...quite refreshing and hospitable. So we anxiously awaited our dinner. It didn't take long. We both had lasagne with meat sauce. I could ramble on and on about this dish but I won't waste my time. It was a step above Stouffers frozen food and the bread was worse. This is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. If you choose to go here I reccomend the bar.

By far the best atmosphere in Yuma. Their food is fantastic! Not just a place for pizza! I can't wait to get to Yuma every November so I can go to this great place.

  • Chris E.

Avast ye Yuman Race! I'm not going to let you get away with keeping Da Boyz to yourself. I know you want we visitors to hit some mall cookie cutter Italian chain while you dress up, head for Da Boys and enjoy their home-made sausage, delicious sauces and pastas, and eat those giant pizzas. Donna said her neice serves here. We must respect Donna, so came here out of respect. Great place for dinner. Awell redone building from the days when there was no A/C, temperatures were greater than 110 in the summer, wet burlap over doorways was the cooler, people laid on the floor and siesta'd in the afternoon to keep cool and came out socializing in the evening. We'll be back.

OK this is difficult because if you go to the DA Boyz in the Foothills area its amazing, but the down town is horrible. Will never eat here! Not children friendly. First time I went they didn't even have a changing table in the woman's bathroom. The wait staff was sub par, and the food was just wrong. My friend ordered pasta alfredo, and the sauce was completely watered down. I can make better alfredo sauce from a jar. Second time i went there. We hard a rather large party, and the one of us in charged called ahead to inform the host. They did nothing to make sure we had seats ready. We all had to cram into the corner round table which was not made for a party over four. Food again was not worth the price. Last time i went with my mom, because she had some coupon deal. The pizza i could have order better from a take out place. The salad was nothing amazing, and again the sauce on the spaghetti was watered down. This time our server was at least pleasant. I don't know what Da Boyz was thinking when they opened this place. Its like they tried to make an amazing mom and pop pizza place into a fine dining. I absolutely LOVE the foothills Da Boyz, but the downtown one needs some serious TLC.

We came here on Valentines Day based on several good reviews. While the food was good except for the Calzone that they burned the service was terrible. Overall not a good experience. They did offer free desert to make up for the burned calzone.

Here with the work crew. I guess if you have to socialize with the work folk, you oughta do it in a great place.

Came here with my family when I was visiting from out of town. My sister said this was a great place for Yuma and knows how much my husband loves pizza. We arrived with a party of 10 and seated in a private room. My husband ordered a pizza, I split a calzone with my daughter. We also tried the breadsticks and salad. Everything was good. The portions are generous, the food was hot and fresh. The staff could use a little more training. It wouldn't hurt to smile more.

stopped for a quick bite. We had a small Greek pizza. Wonderful lunch and atmosphere. A definite sure thing in Yuma. Right in the middle of historic Yuma, the setting for this rustic but at the same time modern benue is superb.

Tried this last night, both my husband and loved our meals. The small salad was enough for 4 people, the sausage on my pasta was outstanding. Next time were in Yuma we'll be back

Absolutely delicious!! Prices were very fair. We got the breadsticks (delicious), spag & meatballs, baked pasta, and kid's cheese pizza. It was all so good! The location was nice!

  • Daryl M.

I would go with 5 stars if we just had pizza, but we had an antipasti salad and it was Just ok. Not as large as the waiter made it out to be and not as good as the salad at Venezia's in the valley. The pizza was terrific though. We'll definitely be back for more.

I've been hearing about Da Boyz for quite a while, since my parents started wintering in Yuma about the small Greek salads that feed three people, and the pizzas, and the half price wine on Wednesdays, and so on. So on my first trip down to check out where they spend half the year, we went for lunch. Da Boyz is huge - apparently it used to be a department store years ago, and it's a great space but divided into a number of smaller spaces including some really nice private rooms. One had a large group of "Red Hat" women in for lunch, and while it seemed like they were having a roaring good time, those in the rest of the restaurant wouldn't really know. The food - scratch made minestrone to start, and I decided to go for chicken parmesan and I cannot believe I finished it all, it was huge. For $9. I tried a bit of the Greek salad - not bad at all, and my mother had a pizza that looked good but I didn't try it - she made a point of telling me that she doesn't really go anywhere else it's so good. Friendly fast service, a nice environment, great food? Da Boyz has a formula that works.

This restaurant has decent food, which still does not make up for the rudeness of the owner, Christine. I will never return to this restaurant.

Not much negative to say. We were seated in a place we chose. Waitress was friendly and right on the ball with water and checking on us. Our meal of Parmesan Chicken and the Garlic Chicken Pasta was hot and nicely plated. There was so much we ate only half and took the other half home for dinner. Very courteous people. There chocolate cake was delicious.

I don't get the hype. Terrible pizza! We tried it only twice because both times the crust had that 'pressed and pre made' look and taste. Couldn't tell you about the sauce because there wasn't enough to taste. Go to Ronnie's. It's way better. Maybe some of DaBoyz other offerings are good. I'll never know. Their pizza tasted like an old frozen Totinos. Afraid to try anything else. DaBoyz is only about 4 miles from my house but I'll drive the 18 miles for the other pizza I previously mentioned.

The staff was very nice and the rest of the restaurant was very nice inside as well as out. We sat on the patio and had no problem wit prompt and pleasant service I will be hitting this place again next visit

I had the salami and provolone sandwich My friend had the spaghetti I could tell her spaghetti was overcooked the waitress dropped her garlic bread and spilled half my sandwich on the table I was surprised that they didn't use real salami in my sandwich It looked like fried bologna, but I suspect it was cotto salami. Definitely NOT worth $8.99. Ended up with stomach problems the next day. Wouldn't recommend to anyone! This was at the foothills location.

I've traveled through Yuma about once a year for 30 years on my way to and from San Diego from Phoenix...and never have taken the time to try a sit-down, non-chain restaurant. Tried this place with friends last week and am so glad I did. We went in the late afternoon, so there were very few other customers there. We each ordered large meals and took home leftovers, and the food was very reasonably priced. I had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken, which came with equally tasty bread. Everything tasted fantastic, and we sat comfortably in a large booth. I loved the feel of the place - very spacious - and our service was perfect. I believe our waiter's name was Marvin, and he was great. He was very attentive, and managed to stay ahead of my water needs when I was extremely thirsty, having just re-entered the desert. He was also friendly and personable, and the food came quickly as did our bill when we were ready for it. He split our check 3 ways without complaint. We left very satisfied with our choice to eat a "real meal" at a "real restaurant," as opposed to right-off-the-highway-chains. I'd like to come back here and try one of their cocktails, too - hopefully I won't be the one driving!

Upside: Fairly good specialty pizzas and salads. I recommend "Da Meat" or "Da Works" pizzas. Breadsticks are must. $1 draft beers on Sunday and Monday. Bar staff is very friendly. Dining area can accommodate large parties. Semi-private, family style dinning rooms near the back of the restaurant. Downside: The place closes at 9pm pretty much every night. Don't get there too late or you'll be faced with inattentive waitstaff. You're better off eating at the bar.

This rating pertains to the downtown location. The place is really, really good for groups as it is located at the heart of the old downtown and there is plenty of parking towards the back. The drink selection is great. The food is from the land of the giants: there will be no complaints on skimpy portions here. The quality of the food is always reliable but not highly refined; however the value is quite good. Basically this place is a big, loving golden retriever of a dining experience, which for Yuma is spot-on.

As always the cheese pizza and salad were good. However, I was still eating pizza when the waitress put the rest in a to go box. Service here has always been avg.

We had the best server. Not from the area and gave us lots of hiking tips. We had pasta which was pretty bland. I'll admit I'm Italian and hard to please with restaurant Italian food. I hope the pizza is better.

I'm from NY, lived on LI for years and years, and married an Italian. Then we moved to Arizona and tried the pizza. BLARGH. Da Boyz is the only place in the state where I will eat pizza. Tender light crust and delicious sauce, the pizza is a welcome delight. It's not New York Pizza, but it tastes great and is honestly the best you'll do in Arizona and comes at a very reasonable price besides. If they used fresh herbs and made their own mozzarella it would be better, obviously, but I'll take my pizza home, and be thankful the crust isn't heavy/leaden as the other's I've tried during my five years in Arizona have been and eat it with a big smile. Thank you Da Boyz, for your delicious pizza and wonderful service, Yuma is lucky to have you!!! :)

This place is great, probably the best ran restaurant in Yuma!!!! The owners run a tight ship, they know customer service and expect/require their employees to provide it. Food is good, drinks are great and the best part is their staff are very friendly and attentive.!!! As far as bad rating for salad not being as big as the waiter described on a previous review... if that didn't fill you up you probably are eating too many greens...lol. The pizza is awesome!!! Comparing this place to Kneaders is ridiculous... Kneaders is a proclaimed bakery that only bakes a couples days a week...

My friend and I had a fabulous lunch here. I had the manicotti and she had the baked pasta. Both came with a generous helping of garlic bread. We also got a side order of meatballs. Everything was delicious - made us wish we weren't just visiting Yuma! I cleaned my plate, which I rarely do, and it wasn't because the serving was small. In fact, just the opposite was true! Everyone working here was extra friendly and helpful, and the restaurant itself was comfortable and inviting. We liked it so much that we decided to order a pizza later that evening for take-out. When we called, we discovered that they delivered to the hotel where we were staying! We got the Greek pizza, and it was delicious. The delivery guy was very friendly, and the pizza was delivered quickly. If I'm ever in Yuma again, this is the first place I'll go for a meal. It was an all-around wonderful experience.

I've never been disappointed at Da Boys in Downtown Yuma. I think it's amazing that a restaurant is still thriving downtown, especially since a lot of the traffic has moved elsewhere. Anyway, my family and/or friends try to make it to Da Boys at least once per month. They have fresh pizzas, pastas and salads. Lately we've been going and doing the Family Feast special which is a large two-topping pizza, large salad and two small pastas. They serve family style, so this is all enough for 5 people to be satisfied! Once we ordered some breadsticks with the Feast, but it was SO much food. So stuffed. So many guilty (but melt-in-your-mouth good) carbs. Haven't tried their desserts yet - how could I when I'm always leaving stuffed?? Next time, I'll have to eat dessert first. ;) Anyway, for our pizza we usually do half and half (half certain toppings, and the other half different ingredients). They are so accommodating. The restaurant is clean. The chairs/benches/stools are all comfortable. I've used the Marilyn Monroe room, the long tables with chairs and the booths. ALL very comfortable. Can't wait until next month. I am looking forward to one of their cheesecakes....mmmmmm.

If you're in or visiting Yuma, you have to go check this place out! While visiting my parents last Spring (who are snowbirds in Yuma), I was taken to this wonderful downtown location. Even at 5:45pm on a weeknight there was a wait outside which told me right off that it was a popular eatery. Once inside, the decor grabs you and is ever so interesting to check out (you have to visit the restrooms also!). We enjoyed salad, pizza, & pasta and everything was scrumptious! Can't wait to go for another visit! As a Christmas gift, I decided to purchase a gift certificate for my parents from Da Boyz. Since I was unable to locate a website, I called and spoke to the very accomodating Roxanne. There was some hesitation to take a payment over the phone sight unseen, but after I provided all the detailed info about me and my parents local mailing address it all worked out just fine. I know they will love the gift - I only wish I could catch a flight out there to enjoy some of that yummy pizza too!

Good pizza, good calzones and $1 drafts on Sunday (the latter of all three is really what sells me). The ambiance is very nice, it actually feels like you're on a date night in Yuma. My husband to be and I go there about 2x a month, and we have yet to have a non-enjoyable experience. The service is fine, not bad, not great, but totally acceptable for the prices, and generally pretty friendly. All in all, if you're in the Yuma area it's definitely worth stopping in for a nice outdoor dinner on a warm evening. Especially on Sunday $1 draft nights. Just sayin'

Yelper's reviews are spot on again! A good thin crust pie in a eclectic old building. Great service, full bar, and outstanding service made for a great evening. I learned that the sausage is made on-site and the dough is made fresh every day. The proof is in the pudding/(pizza). Will be going back soon!

Definitely come here for the ambiance! it is unlike any other "pizza restaurant" in town. It is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Old Town Yuma, whose previous reincarnations were Old California Bakery, and soon after that some kind of a Club the name of which eludes me at the moment. It is wonderful inside. Oh yeah, I already covered the ambiance. Onto the food selections then. I rated DaBoyz 4Stars for the spaghetti with meatballs or the sausage. They do the marinara or meatsauce right. Neither sweet nor too acidy. Just perfect! The pizzas are quite good, not exceptional. I do think the pizza crust is fine. Not doughy, not burnt. I like it chewy. We went in recently for lunch, and I asked for their soup selections. The sweet person, Jackie, said they stopped serving soup over the summer because nobody seems to want to order them. But I really wanted soup. So, she went in the kitchen, and within a few minutes, out she walked towards us with a huge bowl of one of the best chicken noodle soup I've ever eaten in this town! Thank you so much, jackie. :-) You can eat soup, winter or summer. Anytime, in fact! Depends on the type of soup you serve. So, I trust that DaBoyz had taken that little recommendation, because when we went back there just last week, although it wasn't listed on the menu, I was still able to order the chicken noodle soup. And all was well in my world.

Absolutely horrible. I think it has only been rated by Ethiopians . My husband is picketing out in front. He's carrying a sign, unfair to taste buds. Not an edible thing. I wish I could post -10. Amazingly great service for pigslop. Great house wine!! Repeat PIGSLOP. I ordered pizza bread which tasted like microwaved Stauffers. The salad didn't have anyhting that tasted real. All cardboard and fake. The chicken parm was microwaved and you couldn't cut it with a chainsaw. The wings had a nice flavor, but were mushy and undercooked. I am laying in bed disgusted this was so gross. Don't let the crowd out front fool you. They must all be here to visit inmates.

A buddy and me went here a few months ago. Walked in before another party, who was relaxing outside. The hostess was on the phone. Didn't even acknowledge we entered the restaurant. I think she was writing an order and just walked off after she got off the phone. I assumed she went back to the Kitchen. She came back five minutes later, sat the other party first and I waited another five minutes before we left the restaurant. It was 1 in the afternoon and the restaurant was not busy at all.

Wow, so don't let the name fool you. This place is classy, you don't necessarily need dress up but this is not a hole in the wall. On top of this place looking amazing the food was out freaking standing. Definitely get the bread sticks they are delicious.

So, my husband and I have been here a few times... And the food is great. In my personal opinion the lasagna is the best in town, better than the big chain, Olive Garden. Now, I would have given five stars had the service been better the first couple of times we went, but the last time we went we had a very nice, young man who served us... Keep up the good work!

Well, I was in town briefly with some family and wanted something that was not a national chain. Because is was spring, a lot was closed, so we went here. The staff was nice and very attentive and the decor was fun. The food was well, meh. Not bad. I had chicken parm, but not that great. Truthfully, I haven't found many good I Taliban restaurants outside of Italy, and so it was really no worse than the others. But, the marinara was a bit bland and kinda tasted cheap.

I was in the mood of trying something new so after reading reviws me and my husband decided to go. The garlic bread was fabolous so we were expecting the food to be the same. However, my pasta was cold and my husbands chicken tasted like it was frozen chicken. The next day I woke up with nausea and all the symptoms for food poisoning. Therefore, I will never go back.

I liked the building and the atmosphere inside. Offering a nice selection of good beer on tap makes me a happy girl. We got the classic pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. It was good. My honey likes a thinner crust but I am just as happy with a thicker crust. The service was attentive and super friendly. I will be back the next time in Yuma.

Spent about 10 bucks on a Calzone and left almost unable to walk. Fantastic tasting and friendly staff. Would have been 5 stars if they had more toppings available, but for what they had it was excellent!

Great pizza, sandwiches (sausage is the best ever!), and salads. It can get a little crowded so we usually order delivery. Delivery is usually fairly quick. However, the last time we waited about an hour and then decided to call back. They were surprised that we hadn't gotten our food yet so they ended up giving it to us for free. We definitely weren't happy that it took so long but what great customer service!!

Pizza. here. Great! Like others here have said, the ambiance in the joint is surprisingly posh for Yuma (going for a sort of "Rat Pack" feel here). Da Boyz has a great selection of draft for the area, usually having a 1-2 high quality micro-style brews, and is it ever CHEAP. So there you have it: Great Pizza and Great Cheap Beer, all in a swank atmosphere in old downtown Yuma. Yeah, I couldn't believe it either.

  • My point of view. D.

Ok so let me make something clear, I am not from the East coast. So it would not be just for me to say I know what "True" good pie is........how ever in comparison to what Yuma has to offer this place is the best! If you are a fan of the thin NEW York style pizza then you have to eat here. The atmosphere is fun, not too loud, appreciate the rooms off to the side, and all the 50's wall art is a nice touch. I would have done 5 stars, but the server that "Attended" us last was either high on some Maui Wow-Y or didn't care enough to do her job. In the end though Da-Boyz is a must if you get a chance.

Good pizza...1 dollar drafts on Sundays. It's not the best pizza you'll ever eat, but if you're looking for decent pizza in a nice ambiance in Yuma, this is probably as good as it gets. The restaurant has a nice bar, with several tvs for sports.

I've actually not had the pizza here, but the meat ravioli was great and came with garlic bread. I got a small salad and between my colleague and I we didn't finish it. He got a huge beer for $1, which I think is a deal they have some nights. I'll be back here another time.

I came in on a Saturday around 5pm, wait was about 5 minutes for our party of 4. It was my first time actually going to one of their locations. A friend had their pizzas delivered to one of our many study groups during midterms and finals and they were always delish! anywho, the decor here is really hip which is really different for yuma. our server who appeared really young, probably a teenager, was a little awkward when taking our orders. we asked her about the family feast which isn't on the menu, but we had seen a coupon for in the local newspaper and asked what that special included, she just didn't seem to be interested in explaining what we can get. whatever, we got over it. ordered the family feast anyways which comes with a large pizza, 2 spaghettis, and a salad. some pizzas are extra depending on what toppings are on it, and we ordered the momz favorite (tomatoes, artichoke, onions, and garlic). my daughter ordered a personal size pepperoni pizza (8''). the salad is like any other regular garden salad that you share with the table. the two spaghettis followed in 2 big bowls that can easily feed an average of 4 people. The sauce was a little prego or ragu tasting. our pizzas came and it was huge! the crust was very tasty i think, but there was too much cheese! the cheese overpowered the toppings which was a little disappointing. even my daughter's pepperoni pizza was extremely cheese friendly! our server probably check on us once after bring our pizza so our drinks went low and stayed low...we finally flagged her down for refills and asked her about dessert for my daughter. this is what she exactly said, ummmm, we have cheesecake and like ummmm, cakes....then there was silence...i was waiting for her to tell us what types of cakes, but i guess that is just my fault for expecting too much i guess. (lol) luckily my daughter remembered the carrot cake on display when we first entered the restaurant so we ordered that. carrot cake was soooo good. cake was moist, and was demolished entirely by my daughter and i. overall, i think the family feast is worth how much we paid (24.99) since we went home with a ton of left overs, but next time i will ask for light cheese. total came out to a little over 40 dollars for which included my daughters pizza, drink, and dessert. i will come back and give this place another try, if not, i'll just call for delivery to avoid more awkward silence...............

With a name like Da Boyz, I expected a very casual place. In reality, it is a pretty upscale place. Prices are reasonable and the food was excellent. The location is in the upscale (by Yuma standards) main street area. There is plenty of free parking a block east of main street. Parking on main street itself isn't too good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
