This is for my review for their Motel and the restaurant: My BF and I went to visit the Grand Canyon and had no plans to stay over night since all rooms were booked. We decided to go into the Grand Canyon Inn if they had any room available, luckily [not really] they had one room available that night for $79. We got the keys to the room, and we had a hard time opening the door. I walked around the room and felt dirty. The room had spider webs around the lamp shades, bugs crawling on the floor, the bath tub had yellow stains, the toilet would flush and the water would still be yellow. I turned on the shower to test it, and the water was dirty for a few seconds. I felt so disgusted!! For the price we paid and the place we got was not worth the money. If my brother was with me that night, he would probably slept in the car instead. This place is old and is not well taken care of. I'm glad it was just for one night, because I could not take a shower. I would use this place just to change and chill for a bit, but never again would I stay over. **As for their restaurant, the service was pretty slow, the only great thing about it was the free pack of ice they gave us. =/

The room was huge and clean and the beds were great. So why the 2 stars? Well for starters we paid $95 a night, breakfast not included. Add The absense of a laundry facility, a WiFi that was as fast as my good old fashioned dial up modem back in '96 (also in the bar/lobby area where it's supposed to work best) and 10 crappy TV channels and there you have your 2 stars. I usually don't care about TV but this place is in the middle of nowhere: literally nothing to do when you come back from a day in the Grand Canyon. A bit of in room entertainment would have been highly appreciated. Thank God for the Flintstones Bedrock City Park and Campground across the road: did our laundry, had a (modestly priced) great burger for dinner and a nice breakfast too.

We got a room at 8:45pm. Friendly staff and has a nice lobby with a bar. Flyer says rooms were $49 up and offers military discount, BUT we weren't honored with the military offer and paid $118 for a room. Room was decent, spacious send included 2 queen sized beds tho there's only 2 of us. Not too far from Grand Canyon...can't wait the to explore before we head back West.

Nice staff, clean, and affordable. They have free wi-fi and a decent bar and restaurant. This is probably the best thing around without paying a fortune to be right at the canyon or if (as in our case) the hotels are filled up around the south rim. This is even closer to the canyon than Williams which is your other option.

This review is for the restaurant only. Summer S's review of the motel part of the Grand Canyon Inn from last summer is ghastly, don't you think? You might be tempted to stop here for lunch if you are driving from Flagstaff to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and have never been here before, since there are no other restaurants for miles in all directions. You will be better off if you hold off for just another 20 miles, because at the park entrance, there are more and better restaurant selections. Anyway at the Inn, I had a ham and cheese sandwich and JP had the hamburger. They were OK even though the service was slow. Oh, just as we got there, Ellie Mae and Buford Kettle were leaving with their 7 kids. They left about 500 tourist flyers strewn about their table, some of them covered with french fries and pieces of hamburger. Where do people like these come from?! Hooterville, USA?

This review is for the hotel only. It was pretty nice! The rooms were very large, and very clean. The bathrooms were kind of ugly, but very clean. The receptionist told us that wi-fi was only available in the lobby, but we were able to pick it up in our room. Score! We went just recently (mid-March), and a double room was $83 (including tax).

I booked this hotel two days before, and while I saw that they no longer allow check-ins after 9 PM, I assumed they would still leave a key for someone coming in later (like all other hotels I've stayed at). As I neared 9:00, and was delayed in my drive from unforeseen traffic, road construction, and typical distractions caused by traveling with two under the age of 4, the staff called me, and flatly refused to let me into the hotel, even though I had already paid for the night. They weren't rude, but firm, and unwilling to help me in my predicament. I had to pull over, and try to reserve another hotel at 9 PM, on my smart phone. So, while I never saw the interior of the hotel, I will warn you that unless you can make it there by 9, this is not the hotel for you. Also, as the staff lady warned me herself, the reason they close so early, is that everyone can hear everyone...sounds rather unromantic to me, and certainly not a place to bring kids.

THIS WAS THE MOST RIDICULOUS EXPERIENCE EVER! The rooms were dirty, the floors and walls paper-thin...DO NOT STAY HERE! We booked a room on our honeymoon because all of the rooms at the Canyon itself were booked up, and this hotel is halfway between the canyon rim and Williams (another 20 miles...). The people upstairs started making a LOT of noise about 5:30am...It sounded like 3 kids were jumping off the bed, repeatedly, with no adult supervision. We called the front desk repeatedly between 6-8am, asking them to please ask the people to quiet down. They said there was nothing they could do,and eventually I went upstairs and knocked on the door. The father of the kids said he was very sorry, and that the hotel had never even called their room! They immediately calmed down and made no more noise. At this point, we were quite upset with the hotel...for lying to us and telling us they had called when they evidently hadn't, and for also being snotty with us. We went to check out, and demanded a refund. The girl at the front desk told us that the manager was out, and she wasn't authorized to give refunds. We told her we would wait for the manager to return. She said she would call her on her cell phone, and let her know we were waiting. A few moments later, the POLICE showed up. It turns out the hotel girl had called them, and told them that I had threatened her! Luckily, my wife had recorded the whole conversation on her Iphone, and the police listened to it. They told us that this hotel DOES THIS ALL THE TIME and they are both renowned for awful service, not caring about their patrons, and basically being a budget rip-off. So, if we hadn't been smart enough to record the conversation, the hotel would have gladly had us be in trouble with the police, rather than simply have good customer service. They were willing to LIE about us simply to avoid a $79 refund. They were willing to lie to us rather than call the room above us and ask them to quiet down...In other words, they don't care anything about their customers - they just go through them like water. It's also very ironic to note how nice their website looks...Just wait till you see the rooms! Bleh!!! DO NOT STAY THERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

The staff were friendly. The rooms are big and spacious. The beds were on hard side, but we didn't care after a day of walking around the canyon. Bathrooms were big and clean.

My three stars are based on only the restaurant. We had breakfast on our way back from Grand Canyon. The omlettes were very yummy and the service was very good and friendly. It's a family owned restaurant and lodging. Its a nice restaurant located in the small town of Valle, at the junction of 64 and 180.
