This place isn't very busy every time we come in. I'm not sure why. I'm Asian so I am much more critical about Asian food than other types. This place has a nice ambience and atmosphere. The waiters are quite professional, their attitude seems more like they work at pf changs than a quick sit down place like this with pretty cheap prices. So that's surprising nice. You can't beat their prices for lunch. Sometimes they have a daily soup, my favorite is the chicken, mushroom noodle soup. I ate it before I can take a picture. But it tastes like asian chicken noodle soup. I had the Thai chicken with basil. I usually don't like bell peppers so I throw those over to my husbands plate. But I love basil! My favorite dish here.

My husband and my favorite place in all of Tucson to get Chinese. Have never had a bad meal/experience at chopstix. Great sauces and flavors that make any dish you choose delicious. Highly recommend the salt and pepper calamari for appetizer, hot and sour soup is a MUST, and the jade chicken! Sesame chicken and chicken pad Thai you can't go wrong with either. Love this place!

Get the Sesame chicken! This place also puts Shirley Temples in the menu which is so fun. Plan for leftovers. The meals have a lot of food.

Liked everything about this restaurant, very clean, decorated nice, waiters second day on the job and doing quite well he was very friendly, food arrived fast and the Mongolian pork was excellent. A bit of an expensive lunch by my standards but worth it.

Excellent friendly service, yummy pot stickers and amazing shrimp curry. Fresh vegetables generously served with shrimp. So easy to access, I will put on my radar for long business days in Tucson.

I don't often eat Chinese in Tucson; but when I do, I eat at Chopstix. Chopstix is truly the whole package. Their menu items are what you'd find at PF Changs with prices comparable to Panda Express. You get a fresh, clean taste with fast food prices. The Happy Hour menu is cheap and tastes great while a Lunch menu is also offered daily (Sat and Sun included) whereby customers can choose a variety of entrees with soup or salad, white rice (substitute fried for 95 cents), and an egg roll or three small crab puffs for under $10. I don't know how they offer such an abundance of food that tastes great and remains affordable. I cannot truly comment on the service since I've only ordered take out. However, the interior seems clean, the staff appears friendly, and my food was always ready on time.

This is a lovely place for some amazing Chinese food! The restaurant is so clean and updated. The staff is very polite and friendly. The menu has a wide selection of items even kids menu is pretty large. I personally can't get enough to do the orange chicken. It's amazing!! A must try!

Cute little restaurant with fast food look yet meals were freshly made and delicious. There are many gluten free options and staff provided friendly, helpful, and swift service. It shows that they are closed on Sundays but that is the day we happened to drive through town and stop in, so maybe call first if going on a Sunday. Chicken mushroom soup, five stars!

Excellent find. I had no idea this place exsisted because it is relatively hidden from the main road. The service is excellent! My glass was never empty and food arrived in a timely manner. Very polite and good recommendations. I have become a big fan of the walnut shrimp and the lo mein. Generous portions and skillfully plated. Flavors are seperate and distinct, not like everything was cooked in the same pot. They offer carryout, but you miss out on great service. I traded Panda Express for Chopstix even though the latter is a little more expensive. Well worth the extra cash. Don't hesitate. Very good.

I finally found great Chinese food in Tucson/Marana. I am extremely picky (that's what my husband says anyway) so it's pretty hard to please me. I got chicken and vegetables in a ginger garlic sauce. The vegetables were carrots, bok choy, broccoli, shitake mushrooms, yellow squash. The sticky rice was cooked perfectly. There was a lot of big chunks of white meat chicken in the dish. It lasted me about 3-4 meals.

Went in for a nice family meal this weekend and walked out hungry and disappointed. We were waiting for our server to bring our drinks and take our order when we heard yelling and cussing. Two girls ,one i think is management one ive seen that has worked there for a long time (I frequent this resteraunt) the older lady was choking the smaller girl when we went and looked. I, as a customer think that one this is something rediculous to have to deal with while going out to dinner (with the family) and two very unprofessional on a management level. When we first started going to Chopstix some years ago everything was great. Service, food, portions, and best off all the people working looked more then happy to be there. But since then the food quality went down, portion size went down, and service I have decided has very quickly declined. I, a once loyal customer will as of this Saturday never step foot back in this joke of an establishment. I suggest you do the same.

Best Chinese food in town. The portions are as big as those of similar restaurants such as P.F.Chang's but the food here tastes really better and the prices are a little lower than the competition. Try the hot and sour soup, by far the best I ever tasted.

I love Chinese food and as a newbie to Tucson, it was recommended that I give this place a whirl. It's close to where I live so I thought, why the heck not?! To start, I would not call this "traditional" Asian or Chinese cuisine but it's not Panda Express style either. You have a great fusion of Asian/American cooking that is just oh so tasty. I have eaten here about 4 times (take out only) and each time I have managed to sneak in an order of Walnut Shrimp. I keep telling my self to try new things, but I swear those guys just end up in my bag!! The Orange Peel Chicken gets a repeat appearance in my house also. My husband and I can make dinner and lunch out of the portion you are served....ok sometimes just dinner, but again, it's just that good. My only complaint and I mean ONLY complaint would be their presentation. It kills me how much cabbage and orange slices go into the padding of the take out box BUT it's all fresh, and I do mean fresh, and edible. So it's more of a personal preference than a restaurant error. It's also easily taken care of, so if you're like me, just request less. As far as customer service goes these guys are pretty epic. I have not managed to get in for a sit down yet, but every time I have ordered out I have always gotten great phone service and personal service. These guys really do look and act happy to see me. Dave is one of the managers (or the manager?) and he will greet you just like you're old friends. It's a nice and the icing on the cake of a great place to eat if you're in the area.

Such a wonderful place - the fresh food, the attentive service, the clean, modern atmosphere and the nice, calm lighting. We went here for our anniversary and we were treated so wonderfully. Our server was friendly. prompt and professional. By the time we left, we felt like we were family. Every worker there makes sure to welcome guests at the door and to give them a goodbye when they leave. The food is amazingly fresh, crisp and so tasty. There is usually enough for 2 meals in a serving. They can even adjust the heat level of most dishes to suit your taste. Lunches and happy hour are such a great deal. So much food for such a bargain.

If you're looking for good food...this is the place. However, if you like being treated to good customer service....this is most certainly NOT the place. My husband and I go out to eat every Saturday night after church with a group that ranges from 8 people to 12 people (all adults). We have been to Chopstix many, many, many times over the past few years, usually about once every 4 - 5 weeks. The food is great....the manager on duty tonight - not so much. When our party arrived, we were 8 people and were seated immediately. We received a phone call saying another couple was coming. We asked if they could just pull up another small table to make room for them (only one table was being used in this section by other diners) and were told that it would be impossible...this table was for 8 people only. The server set off to see if he could find seating for 10. He came back and said we'd have to split up. Now, this restaurant has two separate sections. In one section there was a party of 4 eating and in the other section two parties of 4 each. That was it! No one else in the restaurant. Empty tables everywhere. After about 10 minutes they had us sit at a table for 10. Our server came, took drink orders & appetizer orders. Right behind him came the manager who proceeded to tell us that she was changing her restaurants policy in two weeks and that parties of 10 or more would be required to have reservations. She was not going to rearrange her restaurant without us calling ahead. Ever. We told her that we go there often, and her reply was to just call on our way in. Very rude, very bad attitude. We were all stunned. Finally decided to leave. We apologized to our server, who we had served us many times before, as we left the restaurant. He missed out on some big tips on this Saturday night. This all happened between 7:30 & 8:00 p.m. He wasn't likely going to be able to make this up in tips since the restaurant wasn't busy at all. A few months back we had gone to Chopstix and had a party of 7. They have one round table that seats 6 and we asked if we could pull up one more chair so we could sit at that table. We were refused that request. They said we would be too crowded and we replied we didn't mind. It didn't matter...the table was for 6, not 7. Anyway, our group will not be going back. This manager sent away a party of 10 who would have easily spent $300 or more, plus tips. As we walked out the door, I mentioned that this would be going on YELP. She replied, "Have a nice evening." Very poor management. At this Chopstix - the customer is NOT always right....just the opposite. Don't mess with the manager's restaurant seating!!!! We left and went down the street to Boston's, another place we frequent often. Great service, great food, great manager!!!

I was initially hesitant to come to this restaurant after having a negative experience at the other Chop Stix located on Ajo & Palo Verde (which was more of a Panda Express kind of place, with worse tasting food). I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a sit-and-order kind of place... and that my Sesame Chicken order was delicious. The interior is decorated nicely, and the staff was very courteous. I've since returned several times, and even stopped to give a manager positive feedback on my trip last night. He told me that this restaurant is no longer affiliated with the other Chop Stix. I do think the prices are slightly high (a little under $10 for my sesame chicken) however the dishes are big enough to split so for that it's a good deal. My hubby and I split an appetizer and dinner, and still had some to take home for leftovers. Happy hour has a great assortment of appetizers, but it is over at 6 pm.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant I must admit they have good food but in my opinion that is ONLY half of your experience. This last weekend we went with several people and were treated by the MANAGER like we had the plague!!! She was rude and nasty. She ranted at our table for adding extra people to our party saying we "were inconveniencing her staff by having to move tables around!!!" REALLY?! She stormed off. We decided we would leave before we even place our order. BTW--when we left there were a whooping 2 tables that were being used. I felt sorry for the waiter who is actually pretty amazing but he lost close to $60 in tips because of the thoughtless, moronic manager who doesn't have any tact!!!

What a lucky stop. After spending the day (4 unexpected hours) in Nogales, we knew we needed to stop before heading back to the Phoenix area. I remember a busy shopping area north of Ina Rd in Marana. Trying a hunch we drived through and saw many of the typical chain places. I had mentioned Asian food to all four of the passengers and they didn't object and we landed, unexpectedly on a Monday evening at Chopstix in Marana. The place was mostly calm except there were a some tables in the process of being bussed as we arrived around 8p. Our party of 5 had to wait a bit before sitting, as it appeared they had a big crowd who had just exited before we got there. So, we sit and look at menus and don't know what to expect. I have had Asian food from great to terrible and I didn't know where this place was going to land on the chart. I should say, our group are all foodies and one is chef/owner of a great Tempe bistro. So, we can be snobs about our food. We ordered some appetizers and soups to try...lettuce wraps, egg rolls, wonton and hot and sour soup. A beer, some waters and some hot tea. For dinner, we ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Lo Mein, Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken as we all plan to sample a little of everything. Our waitperson comes singing to our table and is the most happiest restaurant worker I have ever met. The manager also establishes a very cool vibe so things feel like this could turn out ok. Well, the appetizers come and as I say...the first bite in a restaurant on your first visit is the most important bite of all. And they were all very special bites. Everything was terrific, the lettuce and vegetables crisp, the frying oil...fresh, the appetizers were consumed quickly. We passed around the hot and sour soup with big chunks of mushroom and a wonderful warm, sour taste...perfect and enjoyed by all. I admit...I was very greedy with my wonton soup with the mini bok choy and the flavorful meatballs in the most delicate duplings...well seasoned and very chickeny. Wonderful. Since the business of the earlier evening had subsided, our main course offerings came quickly. Some of the best Asian food I can remember. The Sesame Chicken was lightly dusted and fried perfectly. The sauce was spot on...hot enough...but not overpowering. Rich without being over salty. I hear raves from the Kung Pao contingent and the orange chicken and lo mein is gobbled up gleefully as well. And all accompanied by an occassional tuneful classic rock song blasted out by our wait person and her lovely soprano voice. Again...happy people work here. We have no room for afters and we still have to box some of the portions as we need to get back home...but we do ask to speak to the manager to tell him what a wonderful experience he and his staff gave us at Chopstix. The place is a great step up from the normal asian inspired places that dot many a shopping area. This place cannot be missed. Go...as soon as you can....drive the 80+ miles that we will drive again to taste more from the Chopstix menu. Hint...we got a sneak peek at the new menu coming next week. Think Korean BBQ added to an already outstanding menu. I am now trying to figure out how to move these folks north or me to go south toward Tucson more often. Chopstix...you sold us on asian deliciousness.

Went for lunch. Had your typical American Chinese food, but in a much nicer atmosphere then your typical Chinese restaurant. Decor - Nice...modern and contemporary with lots of stone veneers. Service- Friendly and good Food - Decent American Chinese food, but a great value for lunch. Entrees include soup or salad, crab puffs or egg rolls and steamed rice. I do have say, the Hot and Sour soup was the best Hot and Sour soup I ever had.

Beyond great! Wish we'd have tried this place out SOONER. Great menu, service, and portions. My Kung Pow Chicken was superb...and enough for two people. This is a real cozy place. They had a live band on our night there that was plain fantastic! Service was quick and our waitress very attentive. We did meet the manager, Kai. Great guy and it was obvious that he cared about our experience. Happy Hour is KILLER! KILLER...though get there early as it ends at 5.

Chopstix was a great find. We had a mix of ages and tastes in our group of eight, so we were struggling to find a place to satisfy all, but finally got agreement on Chopstix. It worked out really well. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, but well decorated and clean. The waiter was friendly and efficient. We ordered a variety of appetizers and dishes and I don't think there was a dish no one liked. Plus, the portions were very generous. If I lived closer, I think this would become a regular spot.

Whether you dine here for lunch or dinner this is as good as it gets. Lunch today was excellent. I ordered the Pepper Steak which comes with choice of Crab Crowns or Vegetable Egg Roll, and Soup of the Day or Salad. Soup of the Day was actually three choices. The Egg Drop Soup was full of vegetables, so many you could not dip your spoon in and get a spoonful of broth only. We both loved the soup. The egg rolls are actually spring rolls. Very light, not greasy, and full of vegetables. They tasted superb. The Pepper Steak filled a dinner size plate along with a large scoop of steamed rice. There were spoon size pieces of onions, red & green bell peppers, and steak all drenched in a black bean sauce. This is my favorite Chopstix dish and has been for several years. I highly recommend this dish. She had the Signature Combination Fried Rice with a salad. Her orange salad dressing was a bit too orange. The fried rice could use a couple more shrimp but it was very delicious. I may have to order this instead of the white rice next time. Even the fortune cookies were great. Very sweet and fresh. Not even a hint of staleness.

A group of friends wanted to go for lunch today after church. I was reluctant because I had been to a Chopstix on the other side of town and was wholly unimpressed. I am glad they were persistent. They offer their lunch menu even on the weekends, pretty unusual. It was pretty tasty. I had the BBQ Pork Hong Kong Lo Mein, egg roll, and Egg Flower Soup. It was perfect lunch. There were 14 of us, so they charged an 18% gratuity on the bill automatically. I am not sure what the cutoff size of the party before they start the forced gratuity. While a part of me is irritated by a forced gratuity, I would normally tip 20% or more, I understand that not everyone does, so it helps protect protect the staff.

This place is consistently delicious. The pad thai is seriously yum, and the sesame chicken is wonderful. One thing I like about Chopstix (as a spicy food lover) is that if you ask for it extra-spicy, that's the way it arrives, without questioning you with "are you sure about that?" I'm always sure. The food here tastes fresh and healthy, and the portion sizes are very generous--I always end up with a full dinner of leftovers, more to enjoy later! The atmosphere is relaxed, clean, and well-decorated, and the service is A+, friendly and non-intrusive. It makes me happy that the closest Asian restaurant to my house is also one of the better ones.

This is one of my families favorite restaurants. When taking a well deserved break from my own kitchen, and in the mood for Asian cuisine, this is where my family goes. It's close to our neighborhood and they serve up some pretty great cocktails as well. My favorite is the Happy Buddha, an excellent choice for Happy Hour! The decor is nice, service friendly and mostly timely, and the food is consistently great. I've tried mostly everything on the menu. A few of my favorites are the Korean Lamb Chops, Grilled Terriyaki Salmon, Sesame Chicken, and Ginger Garlic Pepper Beef. My kids love this place as well, so that makes it even more so a winner in my book.

Above average Asian restaurant. Ambiance is very nice, service is excellent and the staff seems to actually care about how you like their food. Selection and variety are above average. There are several Chop Stix in Tucson, this is the only one I have visited. Recommend you give it a try.

Chop Stix is like a mini PF Changs...similar food and quality, nice atmosphere, great servers, food comes out fast. The happy hour from 3-5pm is awesome, great appetizer prices and adult beverages. As of this review, local hotel guests receive a discount. The servers and cooks are very open about changing up the menu for your dish. The food is really good.

While a part of me is irritated by a forced gratuity, I would normally tip 20% or more, I understand that not everyone does, so it helps protect protect the staff.

A new favorite. High Asian with a southwest twist. Excellent. Gluten free menu, knowledgeable staff.

The food was good but very salty. We were the only family there during lunch time. The food came out on time and the server was very nice.

In the land of AZ-Mex, Chop Stix lends a brief repreave from the regions Latin influences. Take note of the ample portions and simple creations. Enjoy this Asian no brainer.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
